#2 of I Will Always Love You

Finally, for those who care, there's a NEW chapter! *gasp* Yes, I have finally gotten off my lazy scalie ass to write again! And I hope the results are enjoyable, especially since I've never done this kind of thing before...(A gay guy doing F/F...Cute, I think) But anyway...Legal crap! This is anthropomorphic erotica, as in Toumal's words, which means in laymen's terms...FURRY SEX! Meaha. *notices half his audience disappeared* Well, Um..And besides that, it's female homoerotica, which in laymen, means two females having fun. *the audience files back in* ...You guys suck. Steal this story, and face the wrath of my rubber guitar.

It had been a while.

A long while since my weakness forced me to become little more than a bodiless soul, a parasite in the body of an innocent...Well, not quite innocent, but gentle...Oh, who am I kidding...This girl is far from any of those. A warrior through and through, and a RICH girl at that, a somewhat...No, VERY annoying combination at times...

"Hey, Phoenix, where the fuck is the milk? It's not in the ice box."

"Yes it is, dear. Move some things around, it's in there."

"And get my hands all cold? Hell with that, I'll just go without." A Phoenix, Well, THE Phoenix, the only one of her kind that had or ever would exist, her plumes were colored as and seemed to glitter as gold did. Two orbs of the same hue were set above here beak, which was short, and the hooks dulled. Though in no way muscular, she was very tall...Taller than her housemate, at least. Her clothes were the typical fashion of a Chinese Sage or royalty, emerald colored silk with intricate patterns of red and yellow sewn in. The female rarely smiled, at least not out of happiness, but when she did, it was as if she and the entirety of the world around her adopted it's own golden shimmers, glowing with natural beauty. And why shouldn't it? Life is a beautiful thing, and she ruled over all life, it was her job, her duty, and her joy to do so. The Aeons, indeed, from the beginning of time on, had made her somewhat cold and arrogant to those less powerful, which, in fact, included everyone not her. Except for this young girl...No, woman, that she had watched over all her life, though not really willingly...With a sigh of eternal patience, the Ancient went back to her writings.

But overall, it has been my joy to see her grow...Though obviously only in the physical sense of the word, as she still acts childish at every possible chance. My best attempts to stay her temper and transform her into a more lady-like creature as should be for her rank all failed miserably, just for that same impatience. And that LANGUAGE of hers, ugh.

As if on cue, a string of obscenities, though more excited then angry, burst from the next room as another female, this one a blue dragon, burst through the door. Her scales were dark blue, and unlike her much older friend, her muzzle was longer than that of most dragons, and she was wingless. However, as a sort of mystery for the ages, the female could still fly. Aside from that, her only clothes were a long, worn, tan trench coat, several white bandages wrapped around her extremities. Another aspect that drove Phoenix out of her mind, the younger female thought they looked cool and preferred them over any other kind of clothing. "Ha! We've got a nice one this time! REAL fuckin' nice!"

"Language, Catherine. What is it?" Phoenix abandoned her writing's, stacking them neatly in a drawer and closing it, before turning to the other with a pained expression from the words.

"Whatever. Anyway, Kyle dropped by, and said he saw something out there by the Toi Mountain range. Might be the Ruby garden we've been looking for!" The Ruby garden was a rumor, nothing more, but it intrigued Cat, and she had been looking for it for a while. the garden itself was said to be the final resting place of a star, the first star ever created. Of course, that was impossible, no star could fit into a garden, and if it did, it would have melted through the planet by now. The other part is what she wanted. The garden had gotten it's name by the legend of roses, made of pure ruby, that could GROW like real flowers, and if ground into dust, could cure any disease. Allen, the medical expert of their group, had shown interest in that, which only fueled the dragon's search even further.

"Might be...Perhaps we should go look?" The Ancient rose from her seat, the epitome of grace as she straightened, and she started towards the door, Cat following her with a sort of a cross between a smirk and a beam on her face...

It was almost nightfall, and the necessary means were set up, a tent and campfire, complete with a caught and cooked meal. Catherine unceremoniously gnawed on a finished bone as the Phoenix glared at her for the action. The dragon could have cared less, the wide grin on her face shining out with an object beside her. A Ruby rose. "I TOLD you they existed! HA!"

"Dear, I knew they existed. I'm the Ancient of Life. I must know these things." Cat's mouth fell open in a disbelieving expression, and Phoenix barely held back a chuckle at that.

"You...YOU KNEW THEY WERE HERE? Why the fucking hell didn't you ever tell me?!?" With an exasperated sigh, she let herself fall back to the ground, unable to stay angry through the excitement of finally finding the place. The Ancient DID chuckle this time, as she rose and strode over, sitting next to the young woman and lifting her head into her lap, stroking over it with a feathered hand. "Bah, that tickles."

"I'm sure it does, dear. But I really don't think you mind, do you?" An audible grunt rose up in response, a sort of unwilling admittance of defeat. The avian over her shook her head with THAT smile, and the dragon almost literally melted then and there.

"Awww...C'mon, stop that, you know I can't resist that smile!" Phoenix laughed softly and winked once, something she'd unwittingly picked up from her companion. "Have a heart! Seriously..." The smile was relentless, however, offering no such mercy, and Cat finally stopped the pleading, moving up a bit to sit there in the lap of the much taller female, leaning against her as golden wings and arms wrapped around her, eliciting both a soft purr and a sigh from the young dragon, her muzzle laid over the soft plumes on Phoenix's neck. No words were offered from then on, they weren't needed, this had become like a ritual for them, the young woman there, the avian holding her close, rocking slightly with her. This loving embrace was to be held for hours, both falling asleep soon, and the tent wasn't used the entire night.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
At one point, I became powerful enough once more to separate from Catherine in a body of my own once more...But why would I have wanted to? I never would have thought I could be content as merely a soul. Perhaps it was that fact, that my soul and hers were one, that we shared each other's thoughts and secrets immediately as the other knew them...Knowing each other this well led to a deep attachment, of which I was...Comfortable with. I was sure she felt the same way...But sooner than I had wanted, events led to a point where I was forced, for her safety, to separate. I feared that the bond between us would break from the separation, but the link remained, and it does even today. But such a bond between two sentient beings cannot be formed without...Side-effects.
Tapping a pencil, the Phoenix stared down at the paper with a heavy sigh, laying it aside and looking out the window. The trip home had been uneventful, and somewhat boring, and that described almost everyday. She thought of it as peaceful. Catherine thought of it as "Insanely fucking boring". And the dragon had thus set out to The Lion's Gate Inn, Allen's crossroads tavern, to present the rose to him for examination, and if possible, recreation. This left the Ancient alone to her writing, to be submitted to the Library as her first report in a while...And it was hard. Joka would probably ridicule her over this. Veris would be supportive, probably. Andrew...Well, he was the one who encouraged Phoenix to tell Catherine of her feelings. He was no problem. Carnagio wouldn't care or talk...But Joka...The avian sighed and leaned back. Not something she would enjoy doing. She felt sorry for him, really. He made no effort to hide what he felt from her, So it was painfully obvious. But she in no way felt the same about him. The only reason she loved Cat, she would have said, was the creation of the bond. That may or may not have been true, but the fact remained that he at least was infatuated, but her attentions were elsewhere. And he would not like this report. How to put it easily?
...These side effects are quite interesting, really. In becoming one for so long, the individuals may develop into a point where neither feels safe, or happy without the other. These emotions are very dangerous as they quickly lead to...
She paused, giving a heavy sigh as she wrote the next word, the one inevitable word...
...Intimacy. Something I was completely unprepared for, and I was caught up in it's wake. Obviously, the same thing happened to Catherine Veela, who, as you may know, I was using as a carrier, for lack of a better word...
"I must find...A more suitable host body!" Phoenix jumped, startled by the sudden voice, and she slowly looked behind her. The dragoness in question had snuck up behind the avian and was reading over her shoulder while she wrote. "Got ya there."
"Indeed. And it was very rude of you, you know." The Ancient sighed and turned back to her writing, but she was startled when Cat jumped up and planted a kiss right on her beak. She blinked at the kiss, before chuckled, running the dulled hook over the young woman's cheek. "Bah, I can see I will get no work done, will I?"
"Nope. C'mon, I gotta show you somethin' outside. Allen figured out a way to plant the suckers." She walked off without waiting, and the Phoenix rolled her eyes before getting up and stretching, striding to the exit herself. Outside was indeed a sight to behold...Allen had abandoned his bar for a bit to show what he'd gotten from the rose, it wasn't much, but promising. Such a plant might indeed be a cure all...The only thing that had escaped eradication from the compounds Allen had used in conjunction with the flower was...Of course, The common cold. It figured. After a while of it, Allen decided to leave, tipping his hat and starting off back to his tavern, leaving the two females alone. Phoenix was a bit disappointed.
"That's all I came out here to do?" The dragoness beside her crossed her arms and shook her head before drawing something from her cloak, a ruby rose. "Wait, didn't he use that already?"
"I picked another one...And this one is kinda for you, because, well...See, I don't really..." The Ancient raised a brow, and smiled slightly.
"Well, thank you, Catherine..." She reached for the flower, but it was pulled back slightly with a shake of Cat's head.
"Lemme finish...See, the reason I'm giving you this flower, is because..." She went silent for a second, before blurting out... "Because I don't have a ring!" Silence reigned for a few more minutes, the Phoenix blinking...Until she smiled and took the rose, cradling it in her hands as if it were the most precious substance in existence, before she slipped it into her sleeve, and hugged the dragoness softly. Cat let a blush show through, letting herself droop into Phoenix's arms, eyes closed tightly...
"I accept...And we've a lot to do now, don't we?" The younger female nodded with an attempted smirk, though she failed and it came out as a blushing smile, happy tears on her cheeks...
"Well, I'll be damned. Sensei, that was more than wrong." The fox grinned as he leaned back, chewing on a long stalk of grass and looking all the world as if he had not a care...Which in fact, he really didn't. Until Phoenix figured this out. Opposite him was a chuckling teenage boy, a katana in his lap, propped up on his shoulder. "I'll have to see this to believe it."
"Believe it, kid, this is gonna be good." The teenager, name of Matthew Weat, watched Kyle with another chuckle.
"So, the gay guy plays cupid. This should be fun..."
And what does THAT mean?...Meh, I think you know. Well, that's it, for now...Kinda shorter, no yiff, but I liked...Did you?
