Chapter two of Vulpieri pawpad, a story about my Fursona

Chapter 2

That might not have been a good idea.

Stepping out of the bar into the cold winter night, the fox quickly ducked behind a large SUV just as the door to the bar slammed open. A skunk, a ferret, a wolf and a tiger, toting the beaten looking bear from the bar started to look around the dark parking lot.

"Where the fuck did that slut get off to!?" shouted a particularly large Wolf, peering over and under all the cars, his fur bristling stiffly in the wind as he snarled loudly. "Blaine dude, Jeff just barfed all over himself; I think we better get him to the hospital." Said the ferret that was holding up the battered animal, who had just released the vast amount of alcohol that he had consumed. Turning quickly around, Blaine growled at the shrinking mongrel. "First I'm gonna find that little slut and teach him his fucking place! So you put Jeff in the van and HELP ME FIND THE FUCKING FOX!!" With that the wolf started stalking between the cars, sniffing out the scent of the fox.

Cracking his neck and knuckles, the vulpine peeked out around the van seeing the ferret and tiger loading the groaning bear into the back of the van. Grinning widely the fox leaned back and kicked the back of the van door closed, the door swung closed on the tiger, forcing him to drop his hold on the bear. Taking his chance while the small gang, stunned at the sudden attack on them, stood stupefied at what was happening. The fox jumped from around the door, wrapping his arm around the tiger's neck in a sleeper hold. The fox, using his centrifugal force, swung around the tiger letting loose a feral kick directly to the ferret's the abdomen. Collapsing to the ground, the ferret dropped his hold on the bear as well and fell to the ground wheezing and coughing. The small fox twisted backwards, gravity doing the work and making the tiger bend backwards as the weight of the small vulpine closed off his airway.

The sudden realization hit the skunk as he watched his friends assaulted, drawing a 9mm Glock hidden in his pants he pointed the gun at the small fox. "BLAINE!! HE'S HERE! THE FUCKIN FOX IS HERE!!" He shouted loudly pulling the trigger and missing the fox by as much as 3 feet as the fox brought the tiger backwards into the pavement, the tiger's neck crunching sickeningly as he connected with the ground. Jumping up from the ground the fox closed the distance between him and skunk in a matter of seconds, just as a second shot grazed his coats right shoulder. "You just made the worst mistake of your life bitch." The fox growled low as he took hold of the skunk's wrist, twisting and breaking it in one swift move. The gun barrel now trained into the shoulder of the attacker. Without a moment's hesitation the vulpine squeezed the trigger, firing a bullet into the ball and socket joint of the pest, who screamed loudly, dropping the gun and falling to his knees as he cradled his broken wrist. From out of the darkness Blaine leapt into the scene, tackling the fox to the ground by the waist and drawing a switchblade knife as they both impacted on the ground. Using the momentum of the tackle, the small canid threw the wolf over him as if he had expected the attack. The wolf, unfazed by the retaliation, stood up and held his knife at the ready.

After making a quick evaluation the fox knew this fur knew that the wolf knew what he was doing. He wasn't some punk off the street who had picked up a knife and figured he was now a genuine gangster. Taking a step back and drawing a pair of push daggers from the back of his belt, The vulpine held the knives at the ready, taking the stances he learned from many years of fighting close quarters. The two animals circled each other, the wolf growled softly at the smaller creature, his knife at the ready as he stared down at his new prey.

"You're gonna learn your place you whore."

"Your friend Jeff made the assumption I was just a regular little bitch, you'd better make sure you don't make the same mistake." "Ya think you got what it takes to cut me?" Growled the wolf as he tightened his grip on his knife the long blade glinting wickedly in the light as he continued to circle the vulpine.

"Do you?" Was the fox's only response as he stood his ground now, the wolf grinned maliciously glaring intently on the fox, strafing slowly around keeping the tip of his knife trained forward.

Blaine swiped forward at the small fox, growling loudly as Vulpieri leaned away from the attack countering quickly with a large arcing Crescent kick but missing his mark. The wolf lunged forward driving the knife towards Vulpieri's chest. The vulpine gripped Blaine's wrist firmly as the knife sunk into the coat, with a grunt of effort the fox wrenched Blaine's wrist free of the knife. "What the fuck?! What are you!?" Screamed the wolf as Vulpieri got his feet under Blaine's chest, Throwing him to the ground and standing up, the knife jutting from the front of his coat.

"Had enough? Or has your instinct for self-preservation disappeared?" The fox growled softly down at Blaine, who started to pick himself up glared up at the fox. "Who are you?" He said through gritted teeth.

"Vulpieri Pawpad." Said the fox pulling the knife out from the front of his coat and dropping the blade which clattered to the ground; not a single drop of blood staining the blade. With that the fox turned on one foot and left the small gang of beaten furs to nurse their wounds.
