Shaun watched as cars passed by his window, the college student was sitting on a bus with his fellow students on their way to a ancient cultures exhibit. "Shaun! Are you listening?" Shaun was shocked out of his stupor by his professor, "Alright now that I have everyone's attention let me inform you of how this trip will go." The balding teacher started to list off a long list of rules, Shaun sighed at the blathering man. His instructor seemed to have mastered the art of boring students to death. As the instructor droned on the bus came to a sudden stop nearly knocking over the weedy teacher, "Watch it!" The instructor barked at the bus driver, "Poor guy, he's just doing his job..." Shaun muttered to himself, "What was that Shaun?! You had better watch yourself, don't think that I forgot about your little prank from last week!" Shaun sniggered, the previous week he had taken some extremely hot liquid plastic and had "misplaced" it on top of the door. The teacher had been the one to push open the door and had a hot gooey surprise waiting for him, the teacher had to cut most of what hair he had off. The teacher flustered at the attitude of the unruly student started to read the instructions again, as he listed off the rules Shaun once again lost himself in the colors passing by his window. As he watched the cars drive by a girl sitting next to him was happily humming a tune thinking about the museum. The girl just happened to be Shaun's best and only friend Nicole; she had been with the moody man since they were in high school. She glanced over at Shaun and noticed that he wasn't paying attention, "Hey goofball." She poked him in the stomach, Shaun winced at the insistent prodding of his friend. "What?!" He hissed, Nicole perked her lips putting on an innocent look. "Aren't you excited about the exhibit?" Shaun sighed and scratched the back of his head, "The only reason I'm here is because of you, if it were up to me I still be asleep." Nicole squeezed his leg, "You need the credit Mr. sleeps through all of his classes." Shaun huffed at the girl's nagging, "I don't sleep through all of my classes..." Nicole looks at him skeptically, "Alright than, what is the main attraction of the museum?" Shaun opened his mouth to answer but he didn't know the answer so after a second of holding the position he slouched, "I don't know..." Nicole nodded knowingly, "See, now shut up and pay attention to the teacher." The instructor finished up reading off the instructions and then fell to his butt as the bus came to a sudden stop, "Warn me next time you idiot!" He yelled at the bus driver, after brushing himself off he pulled out a box of pins. "Now you are to wear these while we are in the museum." As he handed the badges out to Shaun and Nicole they both glanced incredulously at the things in their hands, "Are you fucking kidding me? Do they think we're three or something?!" Shaun was outraged at the piece of plastic, it had a smile face printed on it with the words Hello my name is on it. Nicole as tolerant as ever put it on without a complaint, "I think it's kind of cute." She said in a perky tone, Shaun glared at her and begrudgingly put the pin on. The group of college students clambered out of the bus and walked towards the museum, as they walked in Shaun noticed a sign hanging above the doors. "Welcome to the museum of miracles!" He read off in a false cheery voice, "Nicole can't we just stay on the bus?" Now it was the girl's turn to glare holes in him. As the pair walked in the first thing they saw was a giant mural of a war, "Whoa what is that?!" Shaun asked in a shocked voice, "That would be the battle of hell." A man approached their group, "Well that's what it's speculated to be. Hello my name is Jonathon Crayton, I am the curator of this museum and I would like to welcome you all to my museum." The teacher hastily walked towards the curator holding his hand out introducing himself, "Hello my name is Gorton Parshon and I would like to thank you for letting me bring my class here." The curator laughed and shook the professor's hand as if he did this all the time. As the instructor conversed with the curator Shaun with some other students studied the mural, "Wow look at this detail." Nicole pointed to a small group of people, "Who are they?" Shaun questioned his friend, "From what I can tell it's a cult of some kind." As they studied the little cult Shaun noticed a few things about the people, they all seemed to have some demon like qualities to them and they also were all wearing strange pendants. "Ah I see that you have noticed the infamous cult of Korotish." Shaun jumped as the curator practically whispered in his ear, "Oh pardon me I didn't mean to startle you, I just had to come and look at what you saw." Jonathon was looking at the cult very closely, "What's up with those people? They all seem like they're transforming into something." The curator smiled at the college student, "You're a sharp one aren't you? Well you'd be right, do you see the pendants around their necks? Well rumor has it that those pendants were actually the dark souls of contained demons, and whoever wore them would start to become a demon themselves."

"Wow..." Shaun said as he inspected the amulets even closer, "Why can you pay attention to something as insignificant as that but when it comes to my lessons you don't even glance my way?" The professor had apparently followed the curator and was now frowning at Shaun like always, "What can I say, apparently jewelry is more important than you." Shaun said in a mocking tone, Parshon glared at the cocky student and stalked away. The curator inspected the cult for another minute than looked at Shaun and Nicole and smiled, "Would you two like to see a one of those amulets in real life?" Shaun and Nicole were floored, "You actually have some?" The curator nodded, "We have one, we haven't taken it out of the back just yet because we have to study it some and catalogue it. But you two seem really interested in the cult so I think you might enjoy this." The two students nodded excitedly, as they followed the curator into the back Shaun noticed that their professor was glaring at him. "Wow he's jealous of us; that's a riot." He sniggered out loud; Nicole looked apologetically at the curator and elbowed Shaun. Jonathon led them to a table at the back corner of a huge warehouse, "Excuse me while I find the box." He walked away into a large aisle, Nicole and Shaun both took a seat and looked around them. "I wonder how much stuff is stored here..." Shaun wondered aloud, Nicole shook her head not knowing. They heard footsteps and saw that the curator was already back, "Here it is." He said with a grin on his face, he delicately set the box on the counter and pried off the top. A small amulet laid on top of a pile hay, "What's up with the hay?" Shaun asked Jonathon, "Oh well you see the amulet came from a mysterious benefactor from Romania. He told us that he found the amulet locked away in an old mansion. He apparently is a farmer so the best packing material he had was hay." The students nodded to signify that they understood, Shaun looked back inside of the box and looked in admiration at the amulet. It was a gilded gold circle with a vibrant purple crystal in the middle. As the two students inspected it something stirred within the amulet, a spark of consciousness erupted within the crystal. From inside of the crystal a light pulsed, it spread out and scanned the nearby life forms. As it spread across each one it scanned their pasts and their personalities, it ruled out the older male and the female but it liked young man. He had a certain sense of darkness inside of him; the amulet suddenly shot out a light and burned its mark into Shaun. "Ouch!" The student jumped a foot up into the air, "What the fuck was that?!" Nicole ran over and gently touched his arm to inspect it, "I can't see anything..." She glanced thoroughly over the arm but found nothing there, "Are you kidding?! I feel like I just got branded!" Jonathon frowned in concern, "Let's run that arm under some cold water." Shaun nodded and hastily followed the Curator with Nicole tailing behind. After they finished up running his arm under the water Shaun decided that he was already done, Jonathon apologized profusely to the college student. Nicole and Shaun walked out to the bus to wait out the rest of the field trip, after an hour of silence between the pair some other students started to clamber back onto the bus. Nicole glanced quickly at Shaun and saw a deep scowl on his face. "I'm sorry that the trip was ruined for you..." She reached out to touch him but he twisted away from her, "I'm not in the mood to talk." He said curtly and continued to look out the window, Nicole frowned and sighed. As the rest of the students climbed onto the bus their professor walked back into the bus, "I hope you all enjoyed this field trip students." Everyone was surprised by the amount of cheer he put into this comment, "Because you are all going to write a fifty page essay on everything you learned today." Everyone moaned in unison at this comment, "Is it just me or is he being an extra asshole today?" Someone behind Shaun and Nicole asked. "It's probably because the curator was spending more time with those two rather than him." Nicole blushed in embarrassment; she felt the combined glare of everyone else on the bus trained on her and Shaun. As they started to drive away she noticed a brief flash appear on Shaun's arm but it quickly disappeared, "What was that?..." She muttered to herself but decided it wasn't worth bothering her angry friend about. When they got back to the college instead of waiting for the professor to say anything else Shaun pushed passed the instructor and ran towards the dorms. Parshon was extremely flushed in the face from anger and glared at the college students, "That does it, the paper is now one hundred pages and it's due tomorrow morning!" He snapped at them and walked off the bus in anger, all of the students yelled obscenities after him when he was out of earshot.

Nicole slowly stood up and slid out of bus while all of her fellow students were fuming, she walked towards the dorms and on the way to her room she stopped by Shaun's room and knocked. "Shaun are you there?" She heard an angry voice, "Go away Nicole I'm not in the fucking mood!" Nicole sighed, "Just to let you know everyone is out for your blood, because of your little action on the bus Professor Parshon want's a one hundred page essay by tomorrow." She heard an extremely enraged scream from inside of the room, "I'll see you later Shaun." She called out and quickly walked away from the room. After letting off some steam Shaun sat in a chair and put his head in his hands, "Fuck... I shouted at Nicole... what is wrong with me...?" After a while he finally pulled out his laptop and started to type up an essay. At the museum the lights were out and the security guards were doing their rounds, as they walked around with their dogs they made sure that all the doors were locked. As the guards were doing their rounds one of the dogs suddenly heard a peculiar sound, he bolted towards the back rooms. The dog's partner wasn't very good at his job so he had fallen asleep. As the dog walked further in the noise grew louder, it had a strange whispering to it.

As it finally reached the backroom it saw a box left on a table, the sound seemed to be emanating from it. The box with the amulet had been left out after the Shaun incident, now the amulet was trying to get out of the box so the consciousness within had decided to goad some of the passing by life forms into helping it escape. It used a telepathic message to goad the dog into slamming into the table that the box laid on, after a few attempts the dog slammed hard enough into the table to knock over the box and the amulet within. As the amulet tumbled out of the box it suddenly fell onto the dog's head and slid down its neck, the dog suddenly froze and felt a strange energy pass through its body. The amulet suddenly sent a dark pulse into the dog and used its demonic energy to make it into a minor demon willing to follow all of its commands. "Go my minion and bring me to the one I seek." The amulet sent a message into the demon German Sheppard's mind; the dog now completely under the amulets power followed its instructions. The dog felt the symbol that had been burned onto Shaun's arm and followed the symbol; it ran at an unnatural speed. As it approached the front doors it suddenly shot out a burst of dark magic to burn a hole in the wall. As the dog ran it became more and more corrupted by the magic of the amulet, by the time it reached the dorms it had grown horns and had blazing red eyes. Shaun was on the fifteenth page of his essay and found that he had no more things to talk about, after the whole incident he hadn't studied a single thing. He suddenly felt a burning pain in his arm, "Ow! Holy shit, that burns!" He dropped his laptop to the floor and stumbled up, the same pain he had received earlier from the amulet had returned. He ran into his small kitchen and started to run his arm under the cool water, but the water had no effect on the burning. The burning was actually getting worse as the minutes passed on, "Why does it hurt so much?!" He screamed. Suddenly one of his next door neighbors slammed on the wall and shouted at Shaun for being too loud, after a few more minutes of being in agonizing torment he was seriously contemplating just cutting off his arm. Suddenly he heard a sizzling sound from where his front door was, he painfully stumbled towards his front door and gaped at what he saw. The strangest dog he had ever seen in his life was standing there with a necklace around its neck, "What in the fuck?..." The amulet around the dog's neck suddenly flashed a brilliant purple and the burning in Shaun's arm finally stopped.

After the burning stopped Shaun finally had time to pay attention to the creature standing in front of him, it looked like a German Shepard but with horns and blood red glowing eyes. It's fur also was extremely black, it seemed like from the very roots that a inky blackness was spreading up its fur. "What happened to you, and how did you get in?" He questioned the dog, as he bent towards the dog it looked into his eyes. At that moment the amulet decided what to do, it commanded its vessel to combine with the human in front of it. The dog suddenly stepped towards Shaun and as if it were goo suddenly slid onto the human. "What the?!" He shouted out, the dark goo slid over his body. He felt the goo leaving a stinging sensation as it passed over his body, as the goo continued he felt parts of his body stretching out. As the goo solidified he found that a inky black fur was sprouting just like the dog had a second ago, as he looked over his body he saw that his body was becoming muscular which would be amazing for him if not for the fact that this wasn't natural. He suddenly chocked as he realized that the goo had reached his mouth and was passing quickly over it, the goo finished its job as it hit the top of his head.

After a moment of having no senses he suddenly had an explosion of sensations, he blinked a few times and looked down at himself. His body now looked like a cross between the dog he had just seen ago except with a human shaped body, he looked at his hands and saw that he now had paws and deadly sharp claws. "What in the hell happened to me?!" As he talked he realized that his voice had a very low quality to it, "This is your new form my minion." A voice suddenly came out of nowhere, "Who?!" Shaun shouted out looking around but saw no one. "Look at your neck." Shaun let his now red eyes drift towards his neck and saw an amulet sitting there, "Wait... isn't this the amulet from the museum?" As his fingers drifted towards it he found a strange barrier surrounding it, "Don't touch me minion." Shaun's eyes widened, "Wait... you're the amulet?!" He heard a dark chuckling noise, "I am the jewel in the amulet yes. I used to be a great demon during the times of old but when I was killed by another warrior my soul was put into this gem." "Why did you do this to me?!" Shaun questioned the demon, "I require an army to start reclaiming this world in the name of the demons but I needed a good servant to act as my body to do so for me." Shaun gaped, "Why me?" The demon spoke in a very methodical method, "Because I found an essence of darkness that could easily be turned in my favor." Shaun grew angry at the demon's words, "You think I'm going to help you?! No way!" He tried to tear the amulet off but found that the barrier was still there, "Oh don't you worry, I can easily change your mind."

A dark pulse of energy resonated from within Shaun and he felt a sudden pain come from his arm, he looked over and saw spikes spreading down his arm. "What are you doing to me?!" The demon chuckled malevolently, "I have made you slightly more a demon, every time you disobey me I shall change you further into a demon." Shaun gaped in horror, "Don't!" He shouted in desperation, "Very well, but only if you follow my orders." Shaun went quiet for a minute, "Fine... what do you want me to do?" The amulet glowed as if to show the demon's pleasure, "First of all call me master." The newly made minor demon gritted his teeth, "What do you want... master." The amulet once again glowed in satisfaction, "I want you to corrupt all of your fellow classmates and make them into demons for my army." Shaun sighed in relief, he had never really liked his classmates. "Fine I can do that." The amulet glowed in satisfaction, "But there is a specific one I want you to do first." Shaun tweaked his eyebrow in confusion, "Who?" The demon said in a hushed but excited voice, "Nicole." Shaun's eyes widened, "No! I won't! She's my friend!" Suddenly Shaun doubled over as he felt spikes sprout of his other arm, "What did you say to me minion?!" The demon practically shouted in his mind. "...Yes master." Shaun said in defeat, "Oh and I just had a thought, for my minion I think the name Shaun is a bit too weak. I think you should be named... Crandish." Shaun frowned, "Crandish what type of name is that?" The demon amulet glowed, "It's a part of my name minion." Shaun raised his eyebrow, "A part of it? How long is your name?" The amulet glowed faintly, "Long enough that it would take me many years to tell you it all." Shaun shook his head, "I'm not changing my name." Suddenly an energy spike went into Shaun's brain, "So what did you say your name was again Crandish then?" Crandish frowned, "It's obviously Crandish." He frowned, "Wait that's not my name..." The demon chuckled, "Well unless you can remember your old name it looks like it is." Crandish tried to remember his old name but it wouldn't come into his mind, "Damn you!" Before the demon could say anything else suddenly Crandish heard a knock on the door, "..... are you in there?" Crandish could hear Nicole, but for some reason the first word that she said was blanked from his hearing. "Oh no Nicole!" he silently screamed, but before he could tell her to go away he remembered what his master had told him. He silently sighed and asked for Nicole's forgiveness, "Come right in Nicole." The demon's minion shouted out.
