The fighter dove into the pond. "Come on Rob, the water's great," the fighter called to his magician friend.

"I'm coming, I'm coming," Rob replied running for the pond diving in swiftly. Rob dove down deep and came back up for air. "Indeed this water is quite pleasant" he added splashing the fighter.

"Hey quit it," the fighter chuckled and splashed back. He playfully dove under Rob and launched him in the air. Rob flew up laughing and landed with a splash. Rob surfaced with a mouthful of water and spit it out like a fountain.

"That was fun Sky," Rob laughed "Sky?" But Sky was nowhere to be found. Moments later the tiger felt a tug on his tail. Confused he dove underwater and met the gaze of the silver-mane white lion. Sky motioned for him to follow, swimming off in the other direction. Rob followed swiftly and Sky led him through an underwater opening. Dying for breath the friends swam quickly for the surface. "Where are we," Rob asked.

"Your guess is as good as mine," was all Sky could think of. "Let's have a look around." He climbed up a rock and walked into a tunnel.

"Light, we need light," Rob searched his pack for a torch.

"Already taken care of," Sky replied motioning to the glowing crystal orb around his neck. "Come on," he waved for Rob to follow.

They walked slowly through the eerie tunnel. The tunnel, even with the light of the orb, was rather dark. Cautiously they crept along until they came to a fork. What now," asked Rob.

"Well, I guess we each take a tunnel," Sky suggested motioning down both ways. "I guess," Rob replied lighting a torch "I pick uh. . . that way" he motioned to the left tunnel.

"Then that means I go this way," Sky said as he started walking down the right tunnel. Rob gave a sad look as his friend walked away and started down the tunnel he chose. Time seemed to slow as the two walked down their separate paths. Each step they took bringing them ever closer to danger. The sounds echoed off the cavern walls, each step like the pounding of a drum. For Sky, the tunnel twisted and turned finally opening up into a huge cavern. 'I need to rest,' he thought to himself as he sat down on a large rock, 'but only for a moment.'

Ever cautiously did Rob walk down his path. Bones clattered as his feet bumped them as he passed. 'This is getting creepy,' his mind raced. A glint of light ahead caught his eye. Step after cautious step, Rob crept towards the light. The tunnel opened up a few feet ahead into a large cavern and the light source was dead ahead. Inching his way towards the opening he peered out into the cavern. "Sky!" he yelled excitedly as he noticed the form of his friend sitting on a rock. Sky's head shot up and looked to the sound.

"Just resting a bit right here. So I guess your tunnel led here too." Sky explained lying down with his paws behind his head.

"Yeah and boy am I glad it did." Rob said sitting down on a rock across from his friend. The rock beneath him started to move. "Wha. . . what's going on?!" he yelled a bit frightened. A grating noise came from one of the walls as it opened up. Eyes wide, he walked towards the new opening and stared in. "So dark in there." He held up his torch illuminating the dark tunnel and stepped into it.

"Hey, where are you going?" Sky asked noticing his friend's disappearance. He looked around frantically and noticed the firelight coming from the tunnel. "Wait for me, I'm coming too" he shouted as he jumped up and quickly followed the tiger. Side by side the two walked along the long and damp tunnel.

Rob had stopped at a large hole in the ground. "It looks really deep." He looked over the edge and couldn't see a thing.

Sky stepped up to the edge. "I can test it," he said as he pulled out his golden bow. He pulled back and an arrow made of pure light appeared in the bow. He fired it off illuminating the pit as it flew down. He whistled and added, "Not only does it look really deep, it is really deep." He turned to look at his magician friend, but he was gone. "Rob?" he looked around frantically then looked down. Rob was gently floating down to the bottom of the pit using his magic. "No fair" Sky yelled after him.

In reply all he got was a light chuckle getting fainter as his friend descended. 'I'll have to do this my way' he thought as he whipped out his light dagger and jumped to the other side of the hole. The dagger grated along slowing him down and finally he landed with a soft thud. A soft glow was emitting from shining from his soft landing pad. "There you are," he said as watched Rob jumping up and down on the mushrooms.

"This is fun" Rob laughed excitedly continuing to bounce. He jumped next to his friend causing him to fly into the air. Sky replied with a laugh and bounced up again.

Landing hard Sky slipped off a mushroom and down a slippery sloped tunnel. Screaming all the way down he plummeted away from his friend. He scrambled frantically trying to get back up to Rob, not noticing the large figure looming behind him. The creature grabbed him pinning his arms to his sides. "What we gots here" the ogre asked out loud. He bound Sky tight and carried him by his tail.

"Help! Rob! Hurry!" Sky screamed struggling against his bonds but to no avail.

Rob heard the screams of his friend and dove into the slippery tunnel. He reached the end just in time to see the ogre carrying his friend over his shoulder out of the cavern.

"Don't worry, I'll save you," he whispered under his breath and started off after the beast. The ogre walked back to its camp and tied Sky to a large stalagmite then returned to join its friends around the fire. All four of them occasionally glanced back towards Sky; obviously they were trying to decide on how to eat him. Overhearing a little of their conversation and already scared Sky struggled but couldn't get free.

Rob approached the entrance to the cavern silently. He peeked around the corner and looked at the scene before him. 'Four of them, and there's Sky. Now how to get him out is the question' he muttered under his breath. He slowly crept along the shadows and behind the huts until he was located far behind Sky. Cautiously he stalked towards the stalagmite.

"Rob! Get me out of. . ." Sky whispered loudly and excitedly and Rob put his paw over his mouth to silence him. His gaze turned to the ogres hoping they didn't hear it. Whispering softly Sky added "Sorry."

Rob pulled out a small knife and started cutting the ropes. "Okay, the ropes are cut enough that you will be able to break them. I will cause a distraction and you run for it." Rob explained quietly. He slowly walked out of hiding and started casting an ice spell. The ogres turned to look at him and froze in place. "Run," Rob yelled at Sky.

Sky broke the ropes and started running towards the exit. "Come on Rob." He waved for his friend to follow. An ogre broke free of the ice and was charging at Rob. Sky lifted his bow and shot an arrow into its back causing it to turn to him. Rob scrambles towards the exit casting another spell causing a boulder to drop on the ogre's head. The ogre let out a small grunt and fell on the ground. Quickly they ran out the back of the cave. They hear roars behind them as the other three ogres come free of the frost.

"Run for it" Rob yelled. Sky needed no persuasion other than hearing the angry ogres swiftly following. They both took of running through the winding caves and tunnels, the ogres at their heels.

"Light! I see light up ahead" Sky declared happily. Moving as fast as they could they speed for the light ahead. Roars of rage behind them compelling them forward at all haste. The two flew out of the cave and into the sunlight. "Ogres can't come out in sunlight. . . right?" he asked Rob.

They both glanced back to the cave and see the ogres inside the shadows staring out at them. "Doesn't look like it" Rob replied, "Let's get out of here." Rob started down the forest path and away from the cave.

"Wait for me," Sky rushed to catch up to his friend. "Where are we going now?"

"Where ever fate decides," Rob said with a grin and took off running.

Sky just laughed. 'Where ever fate decides' he thought to himself a moment before running after his friend.
