It had been a 3 weeks since Zuri's injuries, her eye has healed but the scar remained, her other wounds healed but the scar's also remained. Zuri opened her eyes she looked around, her eyes caught a figure laying next to her, she smiled and leaned in close to the figure, "Wake up, it's morning," she said, the figure turned its head, "Alright," he said, "How you feeling Zuri?" "Better, a lot better, and even better knowing that my father has accepted you into the pride," Kishindo chuckled as he looked into her eyes, "You have that look in your eyes again," Zuri giggled playfully, "What look?" "The look you always seem to have when you want something," "Well there is something I want," Zuri said admitting it, Kishindo smiled at her holding her chin with his big paw, "Now what is it that you want?" Zuri stared back at him, "Do I need to say it when I'm starring right back at him," Zuri began, "I want you as my mate," Kishindo's smile grew even more, "I'd be happy to, I've been meaning to ask you that same question, we're perfect for each other." What the two didn't know was that Zuri's parents were listening, "Maana, do you think she's ready to be married?" "I don't know she's your daughter, you two always got along more than me and her did," "Now that's not true she's loves you with all her heart." Zuri looked in her parents direction, she heard what they were saying, she then turned back to Kishindo, and "Hey I'll be back, "she said, "Alright," Zuri walked over to her parents, "Um dad can I talk to you?" "Yeah sure what do you..." "Alone," she said, "Uhh sure," Maana got and followed Zuri outside, "What did you want to talk about sweetie?" he asked her, "I heard what you and mom were talking about, you saying that we don't get along, that's not true...yeah we don't agree on a lot of things, but your still my dad, I still love you," she nuzzled him under his chin. Maana held his daughter close to him, "Thanks Zuri," he said, "And dad?" "Yes?" "What do you think of Me and Kishindo being married?" she asked him, Maana sighed, "It's your choice your already growing up, and your making a decision that makes you happy," he said still holding her close to him. Masa watched the two talk but couldn't hear them, her head then turned to Kishindo, she got and walked to him, "So you excited?" she asked him, Kishindo jumped slightly, "I'm a little nervous, to tell you the truth," he said chuckling, "You have every right to be nervous, I was nervous too when Maana asked me, I didn't know if I could go through with it, but then when I was pregnant with Zuri, I found the courage to go through with the whole marriage." Kishindo and Masa talked for a bit about the marriage Zuri and Maana entered the den soon after, "Masa we need to talk," Maana said, Masa saw the look in her mate's eye, "Alright," she got up and followed him out the den. "Masa I think we should start planning on the wedding," "When do you think they should have it?" "I think it should be up to them," Maana said calmly, "I can't believe our baby is all grown up," he continued. The parents both looked in the cave and saw the two new soon-to-be married couple and smiled.

Zuri nuzzled Kishindo lovingly her head under his chin, "I love you so much Kishindo," she said purring, Kishindo only responded with a reply purr. Kishindo opened his eyes as he felt Zuri leave his body, "What's wrong?" he asked, "When should we have the wedding?" she asked, "We should have it as soon as possible," Kishindo said, Zuri's eyes gleamed, "You know it's the Blue Moon in a week, we could have it then," "Hmmm I like it, in a week it will be." Zuri turned her head when she heard footsteps approaching them, "Oh hi mom, hi dad," "Hey sweetie we were just wondering when you think the wedding will be," Zuri smiled and replied, "The Evening of the Blue Moon," "That sounds like a good plan," Masa said, "But where..." "We're thinking of having it in the jungle, at the waterfalls edge, it has the perfect view of the moon," Zuri said staring into Kishindo's yellow eyes, "I've always loved the idea of being with the one I love underneath the Blue Moon," Zuri nuzzled under Kishindo's chin. "I think we should leave them Masa, they need sometime alone, then two days before the wedding they need to be apart from each other so they can think up something to say to each other," Maana said to his mate, Masa nodded and followed, "This is a happy day for everyone."

Back in the Wastelands Ubazai was bowing in front of Baya, "Brother, he declined, he won't come back," Baya growled audibly, "Then fine it shall be war, We may be the only lions in this Ubazai, but we have an entire pack of Jackals at our side, none shall oppose us," Baya erupted with wild evil laughter, Ubazai and the Jackals joined in the laughter with him. Baya then abruptly stopped laughing, "SILENCE!!!" he shouted, everybody in the cave immediately feel silent, Ubazai then spoke up, "Baya, when should we attack?" she asked, Baya thought for a moment, "Once they least expect it," he then inched closer to Ubazai, "You my sneaky sister will watch what they do find out everything then report back to me once you've gathered enough Information return here and tell us what they are doing, then we attack," Ubazai saluted her brother, "Yes sir," and then she was off. Once Ubazai left she turned her head back to her home, "Oh Kishindo, you see what you made your brother do, now this will be your own demise," Ubazai then stopped as she heard talking, ahead of her, she ducked down, behind some tall grass. Just then two Gazelle walked by, "So did you hear the good news?" the first asked, "No what?" The second replied, "Princess Zuri is going to be married to that lion from the Wastelands," "Really? They seem fit for each other," Ubazai's head jerked up with surprise, luckily the Gazelle were far off from her, "Married?" then a wicked smile spread across her face, "This is perfect now if only I can find out where," she began walking again, "Maybe one of the Pridelanders knows, hopefully I can sneak in and grab one weaker and older one to tell me, they don't call me Ubazai the Terror for nothing." As she walked into the dead of night as she neared Pride Rock she could barely hear the audible sound of snoring, "Great one of them has to be awa..." her sentence was cut short when she caught sight of someone walking down Pride Rock. "Who could that be?" Ubazai said to herself, the figure walked slowly and passed Ubazai not even noticing her, "Hmmm it's not any of the Royal's or Kishindo then who could it be?" she then started to follow the figure. The figure stopped at the Water Hole, "Gotcha," Ubazai the charged tackling the figure. The figure was an old lioness, Ubazai put her paw over her mouth to prevent her from screaming or making any other loud noises, "Shhh," Ubazai began, "All I want is to know some things," Ubazai moved her head closer, "First off When I remove my paw away from your mouth I want you to tell me what are the wedding plans are for Kishindo and Zuri, second, where it will be held," Ubazai said in a calm manner, "Now when I remove my paw, you scream I'll slit your throat right here right now, You tell the King and Queen any of this I will find out, because I can be anywhere , and once you tell me what I need I'll let you go, do I make myself clear?" Ubazai said, the lioness nodded, "Good," Ubazai then removed her paw, "Now tell me what I need to know," "First off my name is Zuia, and the wedding plans are to be on the day of the Blue Moon, which is in 5 days, and it is going to be held in the jungle, near a water fall," Zuia said shaking, "Blue Moon? Water fall?" "Yes the Water fall of Arari," Ubazai facial expression changed from threatening to surprise, "Arari? I recognize that name, that name belonged to Queen Masa's mother, her mate named the Water fall Arari after she passed when she gave birth to Masa's brother," Ubazai then looked down at Zuia, "You're free to go," Ubazai said getting up, "I might need you again someday." Ubazai then left, "That was quicker than I thought, Baya is going to be thrilled to..." she then tripped over something, "Ow damn it," she looked down and saw a cub, "Where'd you come from?" she growled, "My mother left me here, she said that she'd be back, but it's been hours since she said that," the cub said frightened, that's when Ubazai's stone heart softened. Something that would shock everybody, this little cub was alone, "Aww poor little girl," Ubazai said, "What's your name?" "V-V-Viza," the cub said afraid, "Viza huh?" Ubazai asked, Viza nodded shaking, "Don't be afraid," Viza who was frightened beyond belief finally managed to say a full sentence, "Where's my mommy? I can't find her...Where is she?" Viza began to cry, Ubazai looked around afraid that she might be found out. "Shh shh shh, little cub, where was the last time you saw your mother?" Ubazai asked. Viza began to talk in a shaky voice, "I don't remember, she told me to stay here and wait for her, but that was hours ago," Ubazai stared at the cub her eyes softening, "So you don't know where your mommy is?" "No," Viza said sobbing. As Viza sobbed Ubazai's heart began to break apart, hearing this cub sob for her mother, who possible abandoned her, "Tell me what did she exactly tell you before she left," Viza stopped sob still sniffling, "She said that she was going to get food by that rock, that's shaped like Buffalo head," she pointed, Ubazai turned her head there was a boulder in the shape of a buffalo head. "Did you hear anything when she left?" "Yes it was an evil laugh, but-but-but, she did the laugh," Ubazai sighed, she didn't want to tell Viza this but, she had to, "I'm sorry to say this cub, but I'm afraid she left you," Viza's eyes watered even more she broke down into uncontrollable sobs, "Where am I going to stay? I have no home, my mommy and I never had a home," Ubazai paused for a few seconds, "Well come on I'm taking you with me I'll take care of you," Viza stood up and walked underneath Ubazai, "Where are we going?" "...To the Wastelands," "But the Wastelands isn't a good home," Ubazai rolled her eyes and sighed, Not out of annoyance but out of knowing the reality that her home isn't the best place, "Tell me about." Once the duo got back Baya walked up to Ubazai, "So what did you find out?" Ubazai stopped, "Viza go over to that rock that's where I sleep I'll join you in a moment," Viza nodded and walked over to it sort sad. "I have..." Baya stopped her, "Who is that?" he asked, "She's a lost cub, her mother abandoned her, I'm taking her in," "We are not taking in a cub, it will get in the way," " She will not survive on her own out there and I'm not letting any of those Pridelanders take care of her, I will, and she will be mine," Baya growled, "Fine she stays but so help me if she gets in my way, she's dead," Ubazai nodded, "Don't worry she won't get in your way," "Good, now what did you find out?" Ubazai sighed annoyingly, "Kishindo and Princess Zuri are to be married, at the time of the Blue Moon, at the Water Fall of Arari," Ubazai finished. Baya seemed to be deep in thought, "Water Fall of Arari, good, good, at the time of the wedding we attack," Baya turned to stare at his sister but she was already heading off into the cave her form disappearing into the darkness.

As morning came Viza was still asleep, pressed against Ubazai's chest. Her chest was rising and falling. Just as she was about to roll over to snuggle into Ubazai's chest a loud roar broke the silence, Viza jumped while Ubazai casually opened her eyes, 'Great one of the jackals got him mad,' she then felt Viza shake with fear pressing even harder against her chest, "It's okay Viza, my brother has a bit of a temperament issue, I will not let him use it against you," Viza looked at Ubazai with wide eyes, "Your brother is mean," "Yeah I know," "Then why do you listen to him?" Ubazai chuckled, "He strikes fear into everyone..." "Even you?" "Sometimes, but when you showed up into my life, I didn't fear him at all, when he threatened you I felt no fear in standing up for you, something clicked in my head that I had to protect you," Viza smiled, "Ubazai?" Ubazai stared right back at the little cub, "Yes?" "Can you..." she paused a little bit, afraid of what the lionesses answer was going to be, "Can you be my mommy?" Ubazai was stunned for a second, then she smiled, "Of course I will, I would never say no to you," Ubazai said and nuzzled Viza. Just as they were enjoying a happy moment Baya came in with the jackal pack behind him, Viza went wide eyed, 'Jackals,' she whispered and hid behind Ubazai, "Well looks like your little cub is afraid," "Shut up Baya, I thought you weren't even going to look at her," Baya responded by hitting Ubazai, but Ubazai respond with a back handed paw to his paw hitting it away from her, "You touch me or my daughter, I will tear you to shreds, I will help you with your plan Baya, but after that I am through with living under your rule, we may be family, but you are no brother of mine," Ubazai got up and picked Viza up gently by the scruff of the neck and carried her outside. Once away from all the drama in the cave Ubazai set Viza on a rock that would make them see eye to eye, "Mommy what was all that about? What plan?" she asked, Ubazai sighed and took in a deep breath and let it out, "You see Viza, we originally didn't live here we lived in the Pridelands, but my, mother, father and the rest of our pride were banished by the king and queen, Baya being the oldest saw it unfair, so he has been planning on getting revenge on them ever since he was a cub, once I was born he told me what had happened I went to find out if it was true...it was, as we got older both me and Baya began to think of plans. That's when Kishindo...my younger brother was born, but something tragic happened my mother was very weak, she only lived for a short time after the birth, she died, 2 months later, and my father went mad and killed himself, leaving my brother to be the leader, we've trained Kishindo to get close to the pride earn their trust once their trust was earned we would attack but now he feel in love with the princess and betrayed us, after all this long planning it was to no avail, now we have a new plan to attack them at the wedding," Viza just stared and listened, 'That's why Baya's so mean,' then when Ubazai finished talking Viza spoke up, "I want to help." Ubazai's mouth feel open, "You want to help us? We are considered the most evil pride in the savannah," "I don't care, I want to help," Ubazai was worried having Viza help them might be too risky, "Viza, I just found you alone, and I've only known you for a few hours, and you've already grown on me I don't want to lose you," "I'll stay out of the way, I'll help when you need it," she said her cubbish eyes staring at Ubazai. "Ah those eyes, I can't resist them," she groaned, "Alright, You do what I say as I say, If I say to run and hide you do so, okay?" "Yes mommy," Viza nodded, "That's a good girl, now come I'm taking you with me on a hunt," "But aren't there other lionesses here?" "No sweetie they left and joined the Pridelanders after the death of my parents, they saw no point in listening to a teenaged lion, which Baya was at the time, they apologized to them and they stayed, all we have here are jackals," "Oh I'm sorry I asked," "Don't be I've put it behind me, what's in the past is in the past, now what would you like to eat?" she said smiling, to Ubazai smiling was rare for her the last time she ever smiled was when Kishindo was a cub. "I'll eat what you catch," Ubazai smiled again, boy it felt good that she was able to smile a kind one instead of an evil one, Ubazai has changed her attitude a bit. Ubazai and Viza walked a little ways, a little too close to the Pridelands border. Ubazai paused knowing very well where they were. Ubazai had the feeling that they were being watched, "Viza stay here and don't move," Viza looked up at Ubazai, "You're not going to leave me here right?" "I would never abandon you, I said I'd be back and I will be back," Viza nodded, "Be careful Mommy," Viza said sweetly, "I will I always am." As Ubazai walked further away from Viza she ducked in the grass, watching every direction, just then she heard a scream, the scream sounded familiar to her ears, then her eyes widened, "VIZA!!!!" she turned around and sprinted off in the direction that she left Viza at, when she got there Viza was gone. "No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no," Ubazai kept saying, "VIZA WHERE ARE YOU!?!?" she yelled, the scream came again, Ubazai growled, "Show yourself you kidnapper," she said in her average tone, Ubazai heard a noise coming up from behind her, she ducked quickly as someone jumped out from the brush, Ubazai quickly pounced and pinned the figure, "Ubazai you know you're not allowed back here," "I know that I'm just getting food for my cub, who is now gone, I left her in one spot to keep her safe from harm, but I was wrong what did you do with her!!?" "She's safe," the Ex-Wastelander lioness said, "She's at Pride Rock," Ubazai got off the lioness and sprinted to Pride Rock, "You'll be killed on sight Ubazai!!" she yelled, "I don't care as long as she's alive and safe and away from you and your pride!!!" Ubazai yelled back. As Ubazai made her way to Pride Rock she stopped, she inhaled deeply and exhaled deeply, "Well Ubazai this is it, time to get Viza and get out of here," she walked up slowly to the Entrance of Pride Rocks den, Kishindo then appeared, "What are you doing here Ubazai?" he asked sternly, "I'm here to get a cub that was taken from me," "You take care of a cub? Ha don't make me laugh," "I took care of you didn't I? Now give her back," "I would but I don't want her to be with you," "You take that cub away from me you'll regret it, she doesn't even want to be part of your pride, after her mother abandoned her, she wants to be with me and only me," Ubazai said inching closer her teeth bared, "You don't give her back, your precious little soon-to-be-mate will die quicker than you think," "You wouldn't dare," Kishindo said growling, "Try me, I have defended you without hesitation, I killed those jackals that tormented you, without hesitation," Kishindo froze she did have a point, he sighed, "Fine, I'll get the cub, but you better leave, before the King and Queen wake up." Kishindo then disappeared and reappeared with a struggling Viza being carried by her scruff, "Let me go," she grunted, Kishindo dropped her on the ground she hit the ground with a loud yelp, Ubazai growled at her brother, "You will never touch her again, you hear me Kishindo, you touch her, even one little fur strand I'll have your heart in the palm of my paw." And with that Ubazai picked up Viza and left.

Ubazai carried Viza away from the Pridelands and set her down, she looked her body over making sure she was alright, "Thank god your okay Viza I'm so sorry," she said and nuzzled her tenderly, "Can you forgive me Viza?" Ubazai asked, "Yes Momma," "Now I'll take you home and you'll be safer there, just stay in our sleeping spot and I'll join you, I'm getting something to eat for you." "What about you? Aren't you going to be eating anything?" "I'm going to eat later, you come first my tamu malaika," Ubazai then turned around walking away, "I'll be back count on it." About 10 minutes later Ubazai returned carrying a baby gazelle, she dropped it in front of Viza, "Eat up," she said sitting down. Viza began eating, she took big chunks and little chunks; she was finished shortly after. "Umm momma what's it like living here with just your older brother and these jackals?" Ubazai sighed deeply, "It isn't as pleasurable as it seems, he is very demanding, he always wants success, and his words not mine, because you know I'd never say anything horrible to you," she cleared her throat, "That little cub is holding you back ever since you found her, you should just get rid of her like her mother did," Ubazai finished her impression of Baya, "You see, my brother was never one to show kindness, I on the other paw, when it comes to little cubs I will be kind, the only ones I've been kind to were Kishindo, but that ended shortly after he betrayed me and Baya, and then there's you, my little angel, you are the best thing to have ever happen to me," she grabbed Viza and pulled here close to her chest.
