~This has been a very fun enjoyable project that I've been working on for a long time. While offering a chance to work with a very talented artist :iconSomariaSawein: I was able to pull a story together that explores some of Bandit's past and hints at his beginnings. I'd like to thank all of you who inspire me and believe in me. I couldn't have done this without the incredible people in my life or the boundless support you give me. Tanks muchly all. This is purely fictional...Somi and Lima belong to :iconSomaria Sawein: all the rest belong to me. Agreed squared and hope ya enjoy!~

Deep pools of light graced the heavens, cloud banks shimmering vibrant golds and reds, a trail of crimson running through the clouds like a line of bloodlife drained from prey being dragged along. Heat eased and ebbed away as the last wink of sunlight spilt over the western ridge of sky before disappearing in the wake of evening. Mount Kilimanjaros' crags misted over in the coming darkness each standing etched against the stars, both an ominous and comforting sentinel against danger.

This was a land shrouded in the very fabric of time....bathed in myth and mystery that many questioned and wondered at.

Upon the vast reaches of the golden savannah lived a pride much like any other, composed of lionesses to hunt, lions to lounge about, mate and fight for their place in the hierarchy and then the sub ordinance or young hopefuls within the family pecking order.

One such lioness sat on her haunches underneath a small canopy of trees gazing up at the full moon rising to its' place above. Her white fur shown a pale silver complimented by lighter cream that ran along her underbelly, chest and muzzle as well as on her paws. Watching the coming evening with anxious eyes she flicked her tail in frustration weaving it to and fro behind her.

Unfortunately now was not the time to hunt although she yearned with all of her heart for something exciting something out of her day to day activities. She wanted adventure and mystery and perhaps some danger. Growling she lashed out with a forepaw scuffling the ground and tearing blades of grass with her claws before hanging her head in dismal defeat. As much as she Somi wanted and yearned for new and perilous exploits the lioness knew that she had too many responsibilities to her pride...to her family to think of leaving...exploring.

"Somi...?"

Her ears flicked backward to catch the voice again coming closer.

"Somi...there you are! I've been looking all over for you. Been hunting butterflies?"

The teasing lilt and tone was unmistakable causing a smile to play along the lionesses' lips. Lima must've followed her after the others had settled down for the night. Even now as she giggled turning towards the darker shape bounding towards her she caught her friends scent as she was barreled over onto her side by the bigger feline.

"Oof! Hee hee, was not! If either of us is chasing butterflies it'd be you" she said raising her head and nibbling lightly on one of Limas' fuzzy ears.

"Would not!" Growling Lima flopped down on her side indignantly the two settling down to look at the night sky as a light breeze blew through their fur.

"So...why have you been so distant today? It's not like you to not be bouncing around like a cub on their first hunt" Lima asked thoughtfully keeping her brown eyes fixed on the stars.

Somi looked away, discomfort knawing at her. Was her dissatisfaction so evident and painfully obvious?

" I don't know...Do you....um... ever feel bored with your life" she nearly whispered her whiskers twitching as she turned toward her friend. "Don't you ever sometimes wish for more....adventure, intrigue, uncertainty, peril?"

She could see as soon as the words left her mouth that Lima didn't share her feelings. The other lioness snorted and nudged her with a paw playfully.

"That's basically what our lives are like. I mean...we hunt, we could get killed every time we go in for the kill! And don't tell me that riding that wildebeest in the last hunt wasn't exciting!"

Somi chuckled at the memory.

"Fair enough....that was pretty awesome!" she growled admittedly.

" Also it's about that time again Somaria" her friend said slyly winking at her. "In a couple of days we'll both have the lions prowling after us and driven wild by our charm."

She sighed inwardly.

"I've been thinking about that as well and I've been wondering what it would be like to maybe...just once..." she hesitated gulping and blushing. Thankfully the darkness masked the flush creeping under her fur although she was almost positive that Lima could scent her embarrassment.

"Just once...what?"

"If I tell you you're going to freak out" Somi said sadly sitting on her haunches with her back to her friend. "What I've been thinking about in that reguard isn't....well, I don't think that it's entirely normal..."

Lashing her tail she glanced back over her shoulder to see her friend staring at her nonplussed.

"Now what are you getting at? When have I ever freaked out on you?"

"I still don't think that you'd understand."

She could feel Limas' eyes burning holes in her back.

"Well why not just tell me and find out eh? Come on Somi....I'm your friend! It's not like I'm going to go off and tell everyone or disown you."

"Alright here goes" she said taking a deep breath and turning around to face her friend a sheepish smile starting to form at the corners of here muzzle, "this mating....this heat....I really would love to seek out and seduce a stranger."

One of Limas' eyebrows raised slightly.

"I see. And what pray tell do you mean by a 'stranger'?"

Somi found that she had to look away...anywhere but those sly amused eyes.

"I just think that I need some time to explore on my own. Set out and have some fun before I settle down within the pride. I want to really live! I don't want to not get that chance and I also don't want to wind up wondering what experiences I passed up because I was too scared to take the chances and risks."

Digging her claws into the cool soil she silently chaffed herself. She had said too much.

Now she only hoped that Lima wouldn't drag this out and tease her for being silly. Even now she could feel the unspoken thoughts that hung in the air between them just waiting to be put into words. Gritting her teeth she grinned sheepishly.

Lima for her part smirked standing and stretching lazily flexing her claws and winking.

"Fair enough I guess. Sometimes I really don't understand you but I'll always love ya Somi. However you've got to promise me one small thing..."

Swallowing nervously she blinked raising an eyebrow.

"Okay...what would that be?"

Raising a claw Lima poked it playfully into Somi's chest fur, her eyes belaying seriousness beyond her joking tone.

"If I have to be the one to inform the others of your absence and cover for you and let you go off....adventuring or whatever you plan to do....when you come back you'll have to tell me everything that happened, give me the skivy on every single naughty detail. Promise you will. Otherwise I'll rat you out to the pride right now."

The fur along her neck and spine rose slowly.

"What do you mean every naughty detail? Maybe if I'm lucky I 'might' have something like that happen but it's not what I'm looking for! I just want to get away for awhile...that's all."

"I bet it'll happen" Lima growled slyly. "But you have to share. Do we have a deal Somaria?"

"But....but...wh..."

"Do we have a deal or should I go have a talk with the males?"

Resigning herself to her friends stubbornness Somi sighed before finally nodding.

"Alright Lima...deal. But I only have to tell you and once I do...no telling anyone else...ever!"

Lima snorted tossing her head in a huff and swaying her hind quarters.

"Like I would! Fine....you have a deal" she giggled nuzzling into Somi and purring. "I'll miss you. You'd better go before I change my mind."

Somi for her part buried her nose deep in her friends fur drinking in Lima's familiar comforting scent.

"Don't worry....I'll be back soon and....I'll have some stories to tell when I do."

Pulling back she met those friendly brown eyes with some regret.

"Go on, get outta here" Lima urged excitedly. "I really think that you'll run into some form of naughty fun while you're out there!"

"Will not!" Somi nearly roared.

"Will too and I'm willing to bet you enjoy the hell out of it!"

"I'll bet I don't and what's more I'll stake this on it. If I don't you owe me something when I get back...be it extra food or mating rights or whatever I happen to feel like. If I do by some random chance happen to find adventure that leans towards sex then when I get back I owe you what you ask for upon my return. Deal?"

She watched as her friend winked at her confidently and licked her lips with some frustration. What was she so smug about?

"You drive a hard bargain. Deal...can't wait for your return!"

As Somi padded away from Lima and the pride she felt excitement coursing through her at the prospect of running free. She'd show her friend!

"Neither can I...but until then see ya around!"

"Well look what we have here....buffalo all huge and menacing. Curved horns sharper then any teeth ever were and muscled bulk that easily weighs in at over a ton....probably closer to two. What do ya think brother? Personally I perceive that these particular bovines are utterly too much for me or you to try to take down."

Two dingos lay undercover of tall grass inspecting a nearby herd hungrily. The one who had spoken was a light tawny color...playful eyes darting to and fro and his tongue hanging out from his muzzle which at the moment was tilted upward in a silly grin. The ragged heat of the day had begun to tire him to the point where all of his caution (what little he'd had to begin with) became null and void, replaced with only his goofy attitude.

"Honestly though....they sure do look a right side delicious" he chuckled happily amused with his own witty joke.

The second dingo although obviously related to the first was in many ways different.

Sleek russet red fur covered him complimented by his second coat color...a wheat brown that covered his muzzle, the inner bit of his neck, his chest, forepaws and the underside of his tail. Two strange white marks crowned his forehead centered above two golden eyes that surveyed the large bovines hungrily. Although his sibling was in a rather fatuous mood...he had to admit that there was some logic to what he'd said.

"That they do Matsi...that they do. Unfortunately there is no way we could catch one" he growled flicking his bushy tail with amusement. " Tell me again why we're torturing ourselves with prey that is well and truly out of our league?"

Matsi cocked his head his unusually long tongue lolling lazily from his mouth.

"Nah...Bandit dude...ya gotta shoot higher in life than that! I surmise that if we keep watching this bunch we're bound to have some luck with one of em....I mean their slow...fat....cantankerous....lazy...arrogant...."

"Sounds slightly familiar mate" Bandit quipped grinning. "In fact I know of a canine who fits that description really well."

"Hey! Whoa! Don't push it pup! You learned all you know from big bro" Matsi growled tapped a proud paw to his now puffed out chest. "Remember that every time ya eat or are successful or score big with the ladies."

Shaking his head in mock despair Bandit shuddered his face screwing up.

"I don't want to put a damper on your ego but you're the last person I'll be remembering if and when I ever 'score'. Besides I don't think of it as scoring. It isn't a game."

"Sure it is!" his brother said indignantly pouting. "It's a sport...you aim, adjust the trajectory and then you see how many times you can thrust until you erupt. I like to think of it as the canines' equivalent to those human duels with those shiny sticks except a lot more fun!"

"Have you no shame Matsi?"

The tawny dingo inclined his head in a triumphant manner.

"Nope....not where having a good time is concerned! Speaking of which you really need to loosen up...have some fun of your own and I could think of several ways that could be accomplished."

Snorting Bandit turned his attention back to the buffalo trying to hide the blush creeping in under his fur.

"Yeah? Well I don't want to know what they are! This is not something I want to discuss with you of all people! We're brothers! Get someone else to give you a good time cause I'm not interested!"

"No no no no! Bro see ya got it all wrong you have! I didn't mean it like that at all! I have a far more interesting scenario that we could put to the test" Matsi nearly whispered licking his lips hungrily.

"Really? And what might that be? You know we really are wasting time here" Bandit whined. "We still could probably catch a good rabbit or two before dusk."

"I" Matsi went on ignoring his brothers' plea, "will swear to let you hang out with my friends whenever you want and I'll let you have the choicest bits of meat in our next hunt...if..."

"If? If what?"

Bandit had to admit that his brother was being more generous then normal. That was great but he also felt dread at what his scheming sibling might want in return. He could tell by the coy way that Matsi's ears flitted and flicked at the edges that he was savoring having so much bargaining power over his younger brother.

"I'll be kind and let you have all of that if you go and talk up one of those bovines" Matsi finally growled his eyes sparkling with glee as he dropped the last bit of the anvil into the deal.

Bandit gawked at him.

"You want me to what!?"

His brother curled his long tail over his paws neatly and winked at his brother extending a paw leisurely towards the herd beyond their hiding place.

"You have to go and talk to one of the cows in the herd over yonder bro. If you talk to her or whoever and flirt...you don't get anywhere and they tell you're cute then you get to hang with my friends and I for a whole moon...Jade, Solstice, Shaft...the whole lot of em. However if ya get things to go further then that then you're a member of the pack....you can hang with us like whenever you want dude...become a fully fledged Fang. I'll also throw in the best bits of food although by the looks of things you'll be on your way to becoming an alpha soon enough."

"Your kidding right? You'd stick to your end of this deal if I did try my luck with a buffalo? The others...they'd let me be a Fang...you'd all welcome me?"

Matsi nodded.

"If...you do this indeed we shall. Just think of it this way...you get to experience something awesome in return for more awesomeness...and I get to watch a pup become a dingo."

"Sometimes I really have to stop and remember that you are my brother. What makes you think that I'd ever agree to that?"

"Oh...come on Bandit! Just waltz out there and see what happens. It'll be great and hilarious! If for nothing else it'll be something that we'll be able to tell our grandpups when we're older!"

"Yeah of course...with me being the but of the joke" he huffed shaking his head. "Might be worth it though if you didn't pick on me as much."

Matsi wagged his tail.

"It's not all that bad is it? I mean what are big brothers for?"

Bandit stood arching his back in a prep stretch rolling his shoulders for what he was about to do. He hated it but he had to admit that he liked the offer if only his brother didn't want him to do something so idiotic!

"Whatever bro. I guess I'll do it but I'm not making any promises and I'm not going to press anything" he growled letting his tone become serious. "Something tells me that I'll regret ever agreeing to play this out."

His brother nudged him forward nearly knocking him over.

"Go on stud! The bovines await!"

Grumbling to himself Bandit gathered his feet, took a deep breath and slid out past the tall grass keeping his body low to the ground. Every one of his senses told him to run...to just forget his brother and the Fangs and go on with his life. However, this was an opportunity to join The Fangs! The group that all young dingos in the lower lands all coveted and looked up to. It was a chance that he felt wouldn't come his way again...not like this.

Why did his brother have to be so demanding and teasing?

What he'd offer was so tantalizing and yet what he wanted Bandit to do in return was unheard of. Talking up a buffalo...where did Matsi come up with stuff like that?

_ I must be completely out of my mind to let him talk me into something like this! I'm shit stupid for this! This is totally and completely dumb! You've really been suckered in and made a fool this time Bandit! Great work!_

Oh well...guess it's time to pick my poison.

The buffalo for their part took little notice of him. The young dingo steadily passed beyond the few stragglers along the border of the herd skirting these altogether. Some watched him with dull expressions as they munched away, chewing their cud or swatting away the random bush fly with their long tails.

A couple of times he veered towards one or another almost making up his mind about his approach until at the last moment he would swing away...his courage failing him and pure embarrassment pulsing through him with every beat of his heart.

Finally overwhelmed and frustrated with both himself and the absurdity of his predicament he sat down on his haunches hanging his head scuffling the earth with his paws.

"This is without a doubt the most imbecilic thing that Matsi's cooked up yet for me" he barked angrily thinking aloud.

"I'll say it's imbecilic....you being in the middle of us disturbing a peaceful evening, at least somewhat unusual to be sure!"

The voice came from his left and he turned to see one of the cows slowly plodding towards him her horns up. That was a good sign since he had always been told that with most hoofed creatures horns down meant attack.

The cow was mostly black just as the majority of her community was with a few light splotches of white around her muzzle.

"May I ask what you think you're doing in our midst at this hour right before sunset I might add?"

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you" he sighed drawing a paw over the ground in shame. "Actually you might run me off if I told you."

"I highly doubt it young dingo. Now will you please answer my previous question? What exactly are you doing? You must know that we buffalo are far too um...big for the menu of a small canid like yourself" she huffed stomping a hoof down on the ground and tossing her head in confusion. "What's your name young un? Friends know me as Delta."

Slowly and hesitantly he inclined his head politely in a small bow.

"Bandit's the name."

"Curious name but well meet" the heifer commented finally halting right beside him waiting for him to explain himself.

"I'm sorry" he said wagging his tail and grinning sheepishly. "I really don't mean to be rude or anything but the reason I'm here really is embarrassing. Mostly it's because of a bet I have with my brother...."

"Oh. Well good heavens lad! Why would you ever go and do a thing like that? Betting? Really you canines are a strange lot I must say! Do I dare ask what the bet was...?"

For the first time he steadily raised his view up until he was looking into Delta's face. She did have kind eyes but she came off as prudent and the thought of ....he shuddered at the thought his whole frame shaking slightly.

"Uh...well. It was...that is my brother said that..."

"Wait! What was that!? Be quiet pup...do you hear what I hear?"

He growled softly annoyed at her interruption but at the same time thankful that she had. Attentively he lifted his ears cupping them forward to receive any bits of sound across the savanna. His head cocked to one side in confusion as he heard a gradual thundering...small at first that grew into a drowning crescendo. Soon it was everywhere at once and with a sinking feeling the dingo realized what had caused it.

The herd was stampeding!

Delta's eyes grew steadily wider until she too galloped frantically away leaving Bandit behind.

Thankfully the buffalo were sparser where he was but he knew deep in the pit of his stomach that it wouldn't remain like that for long. Making a split second decision he bolted running like had never run before...the pounding behind him bringing a chill of fear all along his spine. He had to keep ahead of them or he'd be trampled...doubtless he had little hope of escaping that fate as it was.

In different areas behind him the cattle were now bellowing and chorusing. Swiveling his head he looked back along the way he had come his breath coming in rushed jets. Fire burned in his lungs with his need to survive and he pushed on the ground beneath him flying by in a blur of green and yellow.

Suddenly and without warning the ground dipped and something hard and solid struck one of his back legs bringing a burst of pain that rolled through him like a wave crashing down through every sense he had. Yipping in surprise he sprawled rolling over onto his back...the force of his fall knocking the breath from his lungs.

For a moment he lay unable to move his eyes looking up at the darkening sky about him frantically as the ground shook and one of the hulking forms of a buffalo dashed past him just to his right.

Rolling onto his side he cast desperately around until he spotted the dip he had fallen down...a slight hill with a rock crowning it's head. It was the only place he could hope to take cover...his only hope of escaping death.

As the thundering of hooves became louder around him he crawled towards the rock until he lay under it's overhang partially sheltered from the frightened herd as they barreled over him in a continuous stream of grunts and noise and loud deafening sound. Closing his eyes and gritting his teeth he waited out their passing slowly drifting off to sleep in the process mid the throbbing of his leg and the danger that slowly dissipated to welcome a new threat coming slowly closer and closer.

***

He could feel everything...his leg muscle throbbing constantly in and out of dreams, panting, relief that he was still breathing and still alive. Laying on his back he whined licking his lips and imagined food. His belly growled along with him complaining as he let his mind wander to memories of ripping into flesh, warm fluids sating his blood lust and quelling the hunger that drove him to hunt.

Another scent came to him as well more sweet and yet more primal then anything he was used to. It put him on edge while at the same time awakened something deeper inside...an old argument lost to time. It grew until it filled his nostrils bringing reality back steadily. His brother, the deal and the herd swam into clarity spinning him up and around until it spiraled him towards consciousness.

"Seems your finally waking up."

"Mmmahh what?"

As his eyes opened he looked up instantly baring his teeth a snarl forming on his lips.

Above him was a lioness though smaller and more slender then the few he was used to seeing from a distance. Red eyes narrowed and a blond shock of fur tussled over one ear as she leaned in slamming a firm paw on his chest.

"Attacking me isn't the right move big guy...I just saved your life."

"Says you" he growled. "Why should I believe you? Your probably the one who caused the damn stampede in the first place."

"Oh stop grousing! I may have started the stampede that much I'll admit to. But you wouldn't have survived if I'd left you under that overhang. Gotta say that was silly thinking that that little nook would be adequate shelter from running buffalo."

"Great now you can judge my every action as well...just like my family does" he huffed squirming away from her and quickly flipping over onto his paws grimacing as pain shot through his leg. "I did what I could at the time."

The lioness studied him grimly for a moment a sudden twinkle flashing in her eyes before it disappeared again replaced with a smirk.

"I'm sorry but that still doesn't change the fact that you owe me for saving your carcass. My prospects for food are few when I'm alone. I could definitely use the help acquiring some...that is if you know how to hunt."

Bandit shook himself grunting and casting a glance around him.

Dust still lay thick on the air, drifting down in moats of evening breezes. The ground was trampled here and there, demolished in pitiful clumps of earth, turned and churned into sad chaotic ruin.

"I can hunt but where's your proof that I owe you?"

Chuckling the feline flicked her tail impatiently inclining her head behind him. Following her gaze he turned and looked back.

Several yards away the earth was even more disheveled then where he sat, unrecognizable and strewn brown blades of grass and the indent where he had taken cover filled in with debris. It seemed he did owe her his life.

Gulping he slowly turned back to her acknowledge her with a polite and apologetic dip of his head.

"It seems you did save me...I guess I could stick around until we find something but as soon as we do I've got to get back to my brother. How far did the herd stray?" he asked almost not wanting to hear the answer.

"Well...I drove them for a couple of miles....no idea" she growled in amusement. "So are you hurt...are you able to hunt with me?"

Bandit shook his head trying to put some weight on his bad leg.

"Would seem I pulled a muscle in all the excitement. I'll think I'll be okay to hunt if I can rest it awhile. Besides it is getting dark and I'm unfamiliar with this territory. The last thing we'd need is to be out hunting and run into hyenas or a pack or....or....

"Lions?" she finished for him.

"Yeah....exactly. Or lions."

"We should probably rest then until tomorrow and we're at it I'm Somi" she said meeting his eyes and grinning.

"Pleased to meet you I guess. I'm Bandit" he replied wagging his tail in broad sweeps.

"Well met Bandit. While you were waking up I happened to do some scouting of the area and there's a canopy a few hundred paw lengths from here with a stream running right through it. In my opinion the perfect place to stay a night and recuperate. What d'ya say we head over there get some sleep and hunt tomorrow?"

"Fine by me as long as you don't attack me in the night...I've heard you lions are dangerous to sleep by" he chuckled.

"We are not!"

"It's just what I've heard" Bandit joked dodging a cuff to one of his ears.

"Well I hear you canines would do anything for food and hunt smaller prey as well as the larger species."

Staggering after her Bandit shrugged panting slightly at the exertion of using his sore limb.

"Yeah so what's your point?"

"My point" she huffed, "is that you dingos hunt everything....wouldn't you consider that a little bit greedy?"

"Not at all. We call it spreading the menu."

She looked back at him a confused smiling playing about her muzzle.

"And what the hell is that supposed to mean?"

"Well we eat everything so that we don't take or kill too much of one thing....we keep a balance and in taking a little of everything we save more for other species. It's taking more so that we're giving back more in a way."

Somi shook her head in confusion and he sighed inwardly.

"Maybe it's best if we just get some sleep" Bandit groaned wearily. "This leg is killing me."

"Do all dingos whine and complain this much?"

***

She settled down near the gentle trickling of the stream and the hum of night life echoing through the savanna. Crickets chirped and filled the stillness with voices and sound that filled the open spaces with comfort and peaceful noise.

Somi let her lids drift shut content to be here on her own on this adventure. Excitement filled her heart as she allowed her mind to wander. Perhaps she'd try and have another chance at catching a buffalo by herself or finding some way to kill a croc! She turned over on her back paws held comfortably while dreams slowly pervaded her tired mind.

Somi stalked through pure white along a hill keeping to the shadows and slinking from tree to tree. A heavy scent filled the air wafting in thick heady waves that undulated and pulsed with the hammering of her heart.

This was it!

She couldn't see her prey nor could she hear their noise but she knew they were there beyond in the blanket spanning into eternity. They were waiting for her...waiting to be eaten...waiting for their lives to end with purpose and for her to be sated and survive the harsh weather the way nature intended.

Closer and closer she came to the edge of the forest, closer to that white expanse that held what she desired and craved. Then she froze feeling something alien behind her sniffing her tail, a low growl the first thing that she had heard in this place...louder for the absolute silence everywhere.

Looking behind her she spotted a canine, a dingo with russet red fur standing out strikingly against the winter pallet of the wood. He growled tasting the her scent and padding closer behind and suddenly it was she who felt that somehow she had become not the hunter but the hunted. A chill ran through her as those hungry eyes met hers with primal need reflected clear in a deep golden brown...unmistakable and unbridled.

"Bandit?"

"Somi...how goes the hunt?" he asked slyly constantly moving towards her.

"Well...our prey is in the field beyond."

"Your prey is there" he chuckled sitting down behind her. "My prey is right here..."

Without warning an intense feeling washed over her setting her nerves on fire as the dingo dipped his head and ran his long wet tongue along a place forbidden and swollen in heat. She gasped and moaned arching her back towards him as he omitted a playful snarl and lathered the soft creamy opening before pushing his tongue inside of her folds, spreading her folds and delving deep into her vulva.

"Oh Bandit! Nnnnahhh! Y....please.....wha....what are you doing?"

"Taking care of my prey" he murmured softly his voice thick and shuddering.

"T...this is so wro....wrong....nnaahh!"

"And yet it feels good?"

She shook under that wonderful tongue her wet fluids dripping down her legs to fall and mesh with the snow.

"Mount m..mm...me!" she whimpered.

"What Somi?"

The dingo stopped and cocked his head in disbelief a wry grin spreading across his face.

"Mount me Bandit...just for all times sake..."

She could hardly believe the words that came from her mouth. What was she doing?

"Your wish is my command" he stated in a agreeable tone that hid his excitement.

She could feel his slender strong body climbing her, his back legs grazing hers and his front paws clasping around her stomach. His hot breath filled her ears with warmth as he shivered and shifted trying to find her entrance his erection sliding along her mound until with a wet pop it slid inside causing them both to intake a sharp breath.

He was huge and she was tight and filled more then she ever had been before.

With a grunt he pulled out slightly before steadily sliding back in his sensitive skin rolling along hers, his tip spurting sticky pre into the depths of her providing more friction and easier passage for them both.

Soon his thrusts became more wild and frantic pushing her forward until she lay, her rear still up assaulted by him while she hugged the ground snarling and groaning as the bliss grew in her body. Digging in her claws she cast a pleasured glance behind her watching the twisting of Bandits' face, his muzzle contorted in urgent desperation and lust.

She was soaring towards orgasm her vision obscured by rushing wet feelings that made her want to live in this moment forever.

She could feel his teeth in her scruff biting gently but firmly in the way of her kind pistoning his hips harder into her pain mixed with pleasure as with a growl he pushed hard and exploded inside of her cunt his knot slipping past the rim of her and into her cervix...

Right at the moment it became too much to bare she was thrust up into the sky among the stars and into the night wakeful to the faint sound of whining.

It was cold nearly enough to cause her to shiver. She lay on her side yawning and stretching almost forgetting that she wasn't alone until her back came in contact with fur. Slowly she backed up further until she lay between Bandits paws her back to his chest. "You cold?"

His voice was almost a whisper and his breath felt warm against the back of her neck just like in her dream.

"A little...you?"

"I'm alright" Bandit growled softly behind her, "but I'm more comfortable this way."

The lay together their breath barely visible in the black world around them. The stars twinkled above them like winking pinpricks of light watching over them. Then over everything appeared the moon in it's place in the sky. Full and complete it shone down bathing both of them in a silver sheen of light.

"So why were you with the herd when I made them stampede" she asked curiosity breaking through the stillness around them. "Of all of the places you could've been why were you there?"

She could sense his hesitation as he gulped his paw retracting from her slightly.

"I had a bet with my brother....to talk up one of the steers and see where it went.."

A moment of confusion and disbelief hit her and then the hilarity of it caused her to laugh, her sides and belly shaking as she mewled and roared.

"Hahhhaaaaaahaaahhhhhhh ha ha ha ha haaaaaahhhhh!!! The bet was for you to do what!!?"

"He wanted me to talk up and flirt with one of the cows and see how far it went in exchange for entrance into the Fangs and the choicest bits of meat on our next hunt" the dingo chuckled good naturedly. "Sounds kinda silly when I think about it now."

"Well it was...I'm glad I caused the stampede then, danger aside" she giggled teasingly looking behind her to meet his eyes.

"Aside from my leg still hurting a bit I am as well. I couldn't have gone through with something that stupid" he said lowering his head in slight embarrassment. "I'm giving serious thought to setting out on my own after we hunt tomorrow. My family doesn't need me. All I'll ever be to them is the youngest aside from Jade. She's my youngest sister and she's already been made an alpha and run with the fangs."

"Sounds like you canines have too many social hookups. Whatever the fangs are I'm sure you will be able to get in with time" she snuffed trying to comfort him.

Shaking his head Bandit sighed.

"The thing is...I don't want to anymore. I want to get away from family...explore what's out there...be on my own, have adventure after adventure ya know. See as much of the world as I can!"

Smiling she nuzzled under his chin her tail flicking his knowingly.

"Believe me...I've felt the same way you have...with the exception that I miss my family and probably will return to them soon. Your brother sounds a lot like my friend Lima back home."

"Yeah I'll bet."

Thinking back to her dream Somi bit her lip debating whether or not to jump...to take the leap of faith that she wanted to take and ask Bandit if he wanted the same...for her dream to become a reality...

She lay there her soft fur nestled again his chest and her red eyes glowing like blood red rubies. Hanging his paw over her shoulder he sighed gazing down at the stream near her forepaws. It was a beautiful night, everything seemed as it should be and for once he was around a person that was genuine, someone who didn't care if he screwed up, someone that wasn't constantly thinking up ways for him to make a fool of himself.

"Bandit..."

Her voice pulled him from his revere unexpectedly and he jerked in surprise.

"Yes Somi?"

"Do you think that you would be willing to mate me...just once...tonight...for all times sake?" she asked quivering a little against him.

He was taken aback by her request but intrigued by the idea.

"Why would you want that? Technically we're enemies. Our races steer clear of each other and have for as long as anyone can remember..."

"I know all that" she huffed before her voice suddenly became soft again. "It's just that we're here...I'm in season and not really in the mood to chase off suitors either out her or in my pride when I return and I was wondering if you'd consider it?"

"Well" he growled playfully, "I might. Are you sure you really would want this...want me?"

He was panting now excited at the prospect. Licking his lips he waited for her answer heart pounding and blood roaring in his ears.

"I would" she said barely audible as he held his breath waiting for reality to change and the situation to become a dream that he would wake from at any moment. But it was very much real as she purred next to him sliding her body up his and bringing her the bottom of her belly along his sheath and his engorged member which throbbed greedily with his excitement.

The heat was incredible...the sensation sending electricity down racing up and down his spine. Hardly daring to breath he pushed up against that warmth gently forcing his way in with a long howl that took no thought or effort at all. He could feel her body contracting around him to fit around his most intimate bit of anatomy fluids gushing out past him to drench their fur where both of them were now connected.

A whimsical smile played on the lioness face as she raised one of her legs to allow him better access moaning as they pushed against each other dancing a dance as old as time itself.

Their hips moved in circular motions bouncing back and forth as their breath became labored and ragged.

Drooling Bandit could barely stand how tightly she pulled him further inside, how exquisitely her body squeezed his, as if she were milking him towards oblivion. He yipped and she moaned, he panted and she grunted, he howled and she roared as they neared the height of their climb.

Shaking he gasped as she reached her orgasm just before him yowling as her body was wracked into a helpless stupor of sex and lust. The sucking was wonderful, the tight rhythmic pumping was unbelievable and then he was whimpering along with her as he himself let go...

Gasping and enjoying their joint blissful afterglow the two fell asleep under the canopy utterly spent and completely satisfied. Enemies had become friends, differences set aside in a truce for comfort and understanding. Actions worth more then words swept them away together...dropping them into dreams once again filled with visions of the future...what they intended to leave behind them in the past and what the morning would bring.

Time would make the night just another memory, blown in the wind and forgotten save for the lion and the dingo laying snuggled together under the stars....
