The year was 1933 when a young Charlie Barkin was born to a small litter of pups in a back alleyway, somewhere in New Orleans. The young German Shepherd was one of a small band of whimpering and whining pups desperately begging their mother for attention as his eyes had yet to fully form and his senses were useless to himself. The female dog nuzzled and licked her son before guiding him to her breast for a drink of nourishing milk.

The little pup suckled on the sweet smelling treat along with his siblings while the older Shepherd watched the dark space between the human buildings for danger or even worse...the pup's sire. The older German Shepherd rested her head as she felt the last bit of her energy reserves slowly deplete as her children nursed from her body but the small smile coming from her muzzle kept the stress and strain from outwardly showing.

Charlie had finished his meal just as sleep began to worm its way over his mind and the warm fur of his family surrounded him. Unknowing of anything else the pup cozied up and fell to sleep, mindless of the path his life would soon turn.

Just as the family of German Shepherds fell into sleeps arms the wind grew colder and the sky above turned a dark shade of gray. When the next few minutes passed subtle drops of rain poured from the clouds and the mother of the pups shivered and huddled her body close to her children.

"So what we have here is nothing more than a case of strays loose in the city huh?" muddled voices pierced the darkness as Charlie woke up to a cold room without the fur of his family around him. The tiny Shepherd whimpered as he sought out his brothers and sisters but the only response he received was a pair of warm hands cradling him before taking him somewhere.

"Poor little things. I wish people would neuter their pets so this doesn't happen. This pup didn't have to be born in such a cruel world especially when the rest of his litter died. I wonder why he survived?" the voice said curiously but to Charlie's limited understanding it was just meaningless murmurs.

"Who knows? Just put him with the others and let's go home." The other voice said and soon Charlie was placed gently inside of a large container filled with smells that he had never known before. Unfamiliar yips and barks rang through his ears startling the puppy but soon those faded as sleep rushed over him to take Charlie away. The last thing the young German Shepherd felt was warm fur and heavy forms pressing down onto him while something wet and warm licked over his face and tail.

When Charlie woke again it was to a nudging from his side and something taking hold of him. The German Shepherd yipped a few tines before something warm was placed at his mouth and small trickles of something wet rained into him. The pup whined as he began sucking the thing and slowly feeding from whatever was giving him food. Still unable to fully open his eyes the pup relied on the hand holding him and the thing feeding him.

The feeding continued for a few minutes until Charlie pulled back and turned away, full. The hand dropped him back into his place along side the other warm bodies and the young Charlie returned to the den of sleep.

The process continued for a few more days until finally Charlie opened his dark eyes into the world before him. Upon seeing for the first time the young Shepherd caught sight and scent of others resting and playing beside him. As pups do he sniffed the others gaining their attention and soon he was swept up in licks and being pounced on by the pups around him.

Knowing nothing but he wanted to play with the others Charlie tussled with the others for hours it would seem before someone came to the group. Turning around to face the new comer the German Shepherd watched as a large white creature reached out for him and hauled him up by the back of his neck. Charlie yipped confused as to why he was being taken away from his playmates but soon he understood as the familiar thing from before pushed into his mouth and began feeding him.

The young pup drank his fill and then was returned to the others. Settling back down, Charlie yipped his approval and then let out a small burp. Quiet laughs sounded in his ears making the puppy turn his head skyward into the face of the smiling creature who had fed him. Giving light barks Charlie jumped up and down to get attention from the creature and was given a pat on the head before the creature fed the other pups.

Wagging his tail at the treatment Charlie felt sleep creep up on hi again and soon the German Shepherd was dozing off.

Weeks would pass in succession before anything exciting happened to Charlie and the others. The Shepherd enjoyed his time with his friends and played with them for hours on end but that time soon came to an end.

It happened subtly but before long Charlie noticed that his friends began to disappear one by one until he was left alone. Not realizing that his playmates had been taken somewhere the pup whined and whimpered for someone to come to him, desperate for attention that only others could give to him.

"Aw little one. I'm sorry that we almost forgot about you but I'll fix that." The gentle voice from before swept over Charlie and took him up into a careful hold and soon Charlie was taken to a new and unfamiliar place.

Outside was foreign to the German Shepherd but not for long as the pup got his first taste of the world around him. The barks of other dogs rang out in an array of pitches making the young Charlie curl his tail under himself in fear and confusion. Soon the little canine was placed in a cage by himself as the human; Charlie would come to understand later what the creature was called, who had brought him their left without a word.

"Welcome home pup." A rough voice echoed making the puppy swirl his ears in attention.

"Who...who said that...?" Charlie nervously asked while folding in on himself

"Ha-ha Don't get scared kid. I'm in the cage next to you. Name's Bruiser." The heavy voice made the German Shepherd turn to see a massive sized dog sitting in the cage next to him

"Hello." Charlie barked out with minimal effort.

"Huh...still scared huh? Well get over it kid because for a while this is home for you."

"What happened to the others?" Charlie slowly unfolded from himself and went over to the other canine sitting down on his back looking at Charlie

"Others? Probably got bought by a human and taken to a human home." The canine sagely replied.

"Wha...?" His limited understanding didn't help Charlie but the other male began to explain the facts of life to him breaking away the innocent shell surrounding the younger pup. From what humans were, to what it meant to be a 'pet', to the 'long walk' and with ever bit of information Charlie's life began.

It was months before Charlie's story would change but it did change when the older dog that had been his teacher and 'friend' was taken for the 'long walk'. The Shepherd had barked and cried but to deaf ears as the humans to the older dog away to never return. The realization that it could one day be himself lit a spark of rebellion inside of the pup and soon a plan began to form in his mind.

Soon the chance came many more months later after Charlie had turned one and a half years and the humans came for him. Two burly humans came for the German Shepherd with a long leash and a muzzle but the crafty Charlie waited for his chance. Feigning sleep Charlie let the humans open the gate to his cage and come inside before he sprang.

Jumping onto one of the humans and knocking him into the other the Shepherd rushed form his cage into the hallway. Barks from the others coursed through his ears as he heard their cries.

"Hey kid let us out!"

"Get us out of here!"

"Help!"

"Don't leave us in here!"

Unsure of what to do but knowing he couldn't escape on his own Charlie raced to where he had seen the humans fiddle with a large red button once before and pressed the thing with his paw. Instantly doors to all the cages opened and soon a barrage of barks and whines of joy rang out as the others got their freedom.

Charlie led the battalion of canines out into the hallways and soon the humans who operated the caged areas were chasing them. But there were too many to catch and breaking through the front doors Charlie and the ones who hadn't been caught made their escape outside into the world.

Sights, scents, sounds all passed over Charlie like a tidal wave as he was hit full force but that didn't stop him from making his way out. He knew that if he were caught he would take the journey down the 'long walk' and his story would be over. Thankfully craftiness and intelligence was on his side and the German Shepherd raced down back alleys and between boards to get away.

Freedom was at hand and young Charlie grasped it with everything he was. But that freedom wasn't without its costs. Food was never an issue before but now it was a necessity that Charlie found to be scare.

Anything became food soon to the starved canine from rats, dumpster trash, leftovers, squirrels in the park, anything. Survival became the next thing as Charlie found few friends in the world but many enemies. Fights between himself left the Shepherd with torn sides, ears, paws, and bloodied fur.

Life was hard for the young Charlie but he was a born fighter. Nothing would hold him down and no one would hold him back. Not the strongest of the strong but more than enough to take on anyone who got in his way Charlie became something of a legend in his own right. He fought a mean grizzly monster of a canine called Red Fang and taking out the dog whose teeth had ended the lives of many before him and become almost permanently stained red had made Charlie a legend in New Orleans amongst the canine community but the price was the lost part of his ear. However, what he gained had been far more important, afterwards at least, to Charlie; a reputation protecting him from others who would challenge him.

It was during after this time that Charlie would met a young female by the name of Flo and take on an almost brotherly mannerism by protecting the smaller dog. Sweet as an angel but no nonsense, Flo would become someone that Charlie would turn to in his time of crisis. But before that time came the German Shepherd would do what he could for Flo from bringing her scarps and sheltering her from the more nastier elements, be they other canines or the weather.

Flo in return offered herself as payment to Charlie and the German Shepherd learned early on what it meant to become a stud. Though no pups came along from the intimacy between the there was a lasting friendship that Charlie wouldn't take for granted.

During the times spent with Flo Charlie would meet another character that would change his life. Unknowing how the hands of Fate were moving things along Charlie would forever give his manhood to meet his best of best friends again even if he gave everything else up, even Flo...

It was a foggy morning that found Charlie walking down the streets of New Orleans by the harbor minding his own business that he came upon something he would never be able to forget.

"Som...e...one....hel...p...!!!!" Charlie moved carefully to the sound, as he was wary of rivals and enemies plotting against him. When the young Barking made his way over to a pier he came to the sight of a small dog mindlessly padding away while trying to stay above water. Gazing down at the canine Charlie sat on his haunches and watched as the other tried to desperately keep a float.

"Some...body...help...me!!!!" the dog barked panickedly

"What are you doing?" Charlie asked confusedly

"What...does...it...look....like?" the splashing canine asked while glaring at Charlie

"Why don't you just paddle to shore?"

"What do...you...think...I've been...doing...moron? I CAN'T!!!!" the other canine shouted the last word just as he felt a cramp in his leg and sink under.

Sighing to himself in annoyance the German Shepherd dove into the water and grabbed the canine by the scruff of his neck and hauled him to the beach line. Once both were out of the cold water Charlie could understand why the dog was suffering so. While he looked very much like any other dog the canine by his side was short legged and rather stocky.

"Thank you." The canine said before trying to walk off and falling on his face, out cold. Charlie amusedly looked the other over before taking off.

It took time but Charlie returned to the still unconscious canine and dropped a small parcel by his face before nudging him with his front paws.

"Hey, you still alive?"

"Ugh..."

The smaller dog opened his eyes to see the dog from before smirking down at him before trying to get up on all fours. After rising he blinked and sniffed the air and bowed his head to the wrapped bundle on the sand.

"What's this?" the Dachshund queried

"What does it smell like, genius?" The smaller canine growled before nuzzling the paper from around the food and then looked up to Charlie.

"Wh...?"

"Just eat it before I realize what I'm doing. Those scraps were hard to get you know." Charlie sat down on the sand before pushing the bits of meat and other stuff over to the Dachshund and turning to look at the rolling waves. Flo would understand and he could always steal from the butcher when the human tossed his leftovers out that evening.

"Thanks!" the short legged canine devoured the food ravenously before sighing and licking his chops.

"Why did you give me...?"

"I just did so don't think too much on it. Anyway, what were you doing trying to swim with those legs of yours?" Charlie mocked while continuing to watch the sea

"Hey I wasn't trying to swim. I just wanted to get rid of these stupid fleas. I didn't think the current carry me so far out." The Dachshund replied embarrassedly

"I see...well next time you want to get rid of fleas just rub them off on another dog. Gets rid of 'em for me." Charlie smiled before getting up and going about his way.

"Hey what's your name by the way stranger?" the short canine asked

"hummm? Charlie. Charlie Barkin." Was the last thing the German Shepherd said before going about his way.

"What?! Hey wit a minute. You're the famous Charlie? The one who beat up the Redfang."

"Yeah so what?" Charlie had to hold off the pride he felt from winning that fight and being named top dog around New Orleans. It didn't help his ego at the fact that his ears paid the price for that fight as the chewed off ends twitched in memory of blood red fangs tearing into them.

"You're a legend. Why'd you save me? I thought they said that you hated every body." The Dachshund had to use much of his speed to keep up with the long strides the German Shepherd took with practiced ease

"Don't believe everything you here and why are you following me? Don't you have somewhere to be, like the pound?" Charlie kept his voice light even though he seemed serious.

"Hey that's not funny! And anyway...you heading to my place." Charlie looked at the other who was rapidly tailing him before stopping and watching the Dachshund sped off with his tiny little legs. The shorter canine raced ahead of the German Shepherd leaving him behind to stare amusedly.

Charlie smirked before letting the other take the lead and soon both Shepherd and Dachshund were standing before a dismal alleyway. Charlie looked less than thrilled before the other walked to a swinging dog door and inside of a tall warehouse. Not really caring about an invite the German Shepherd bullied his way inside of the other canine's home. After all that was what he did to get where he was now, so no sense in trying something new now.

Inside the building was a large assortment of dogs doing this and that and Charlie looked around for his companion and found him a ways over by a bunch of crates talking to someone. Padding over while watching everyone around him, the German Shepherd kept his hackles down but his tail wavered in the air as if in eager prognostication of a fight.

"I'm telling you it's really him Maverick!" the Dachshund shouted while almost bouncing in his place.

"Yeah right kid! Like he'd be saving your tail! Get real!" the other canine said with more than a little disbelief coloring his rough voice.

"What's going on?" Charlie asked making both the Dachshund and the Rottie look to him.

"See I told you it was really Charlie Barkin!" the name stopped the entire area as everyone looked to see what was going on. The room grew as silent as a graveyard in December as nobody could turn away from the scene before them.

The Rottweiler sauntered up to the Shepherd and looked him straight in the eye before he opened his muzzle and asked...

"You really Charlie Barkins?" old eyes stared at the German Shepherd with disbelief and some worry but a clear line marked the older canine's face.

"Yep." Charlie stood a little taller as he made sure everyone knew whom he was. Founding out early in life that it was all about attitude much less than sheer strength the German Shepherd kept his tail high and a slight smirk about himself.

The dog named Maverick looked Charlie up and down a few times before turning to stare at the Dachshund and then bowing his head to the newcomer.

"Welcome then. Hey folks guess who we've got here?" the older canine shouted alerting the entire congress of dogs and brining them over to look and sniff the addition to their home. Charlie cringed as he got more fur on himself than fleas from an old alley cat as the canines around him swarmed over his person.

It took time but once everyone had asked questions and made themselves known the crowd dispersed and returned to their own devices leaving the original three alone with each other. Charlie had to sigh as he felt his resolve vacillate at the onslaught of noses on his body and some under his tail...yuck!

"Well Itchy you've really done it this time. Finding a big shot like him and dragging him back home. Everyone's going to talk about this for days maybe even weeks!" the older Rottie said with a few deep barks and chuckles to the Dachshund.

"hehehe...hey Charlie let me show you 'round. The least I can do for what you did for me back there on the docks." The German Shepherd nodded and let Itchy introduce him to everyone in the old warehouse.

Dogs with too much history who came to get away from abusive humans, had escaped from pounds, just walked into town or were just moving from place to place and come to rest lingered in the dusty warehouse. Charlie for the most part didn't really care as he had seen it all in his short life but what interested him was a certain game being played by a few canines. Charlie had seen others playing for food and whatever but at this time the games seemed more...interesting.

"Oh man can you believe this, two pair of Aces! Hahaha. Give it up dog!" one mutt of a canine said as he went to collect his winning but was stopped by a heavy paw

"Sorry but you'll have to do better than this!" Laying down his hand the other dog, a Husky, threw out a Straight Flush making the mongrel slack jawed

"No way!" the mutt yelled out in pure exasperation

"Oh yeah!" the husky collected his earnings before trotting away with a slick grin on his muzzle

"What was that about?" Charlie asked to no one in particular

"You don't know about poker Charlie?" Itchy answered

Shaking his head the German Shepherd let his ignorance be known and soon found himself being educated by the Dachshund. It wasn't long before that that Charlie would rack up against others as he had a certain knack for learning the gestures of others and keeping up with body language. A nervous twitch, a scratch on the ear, a grinning muzzle and a sneaky sly smirk. All the signs that Charlie would need to win big that day and many more to come.

A few weeks rolled by, as they always do, and before long Charlie was not only known as the toughest dog around town but the biggest winner when it came to the cards. His skill was becoming more of a legend than his fighting prowess and within the next year the German Shepherd earned the attention of a certain dog that would turn his world upside down.

"Won big tonight Itch!" Charlie laughed as he walked down the streets of New Orleans with his friend in tow. The shorter canine hurriedly tried to catch up to the longer legged Shepherd but kept his ire at being so short from his voice.

"Yeah you did Charlie but I think some of those guys are starting' to get pretty mad. You keep winning so much they think you're cheating'." Itchy voiced his concerns but was brushed off by the boastful Shepherd

"They're just mad that I won because I'm the best there is! Beside how can I cheat? It's not lie I'm human and have sleeves or a hat to hid cards in." Charlie and Itchy walked down the dark sidewalk all the way until they made their way back home. Because of his winnings Charlie had opted to move from the old dirty and dank warehouse to the more upper class neighborhoods.

"Yeah but still...you didn't hear what some of the guys were saying'. Maybe you should lay off the tables for a while until they don't feel sore about it anymore." Itchy dove into a cracked doorway that would lead upstairs to what could be called a penthouse for canines. The place was well furnished by a dog's standards with a fan, leather chair, rugs, and enough food to last a while. All thanks to Charlie's winnings no less.

"Nahhh! Why stop the fun and besides whose to worry about? None of the other guys are really anything to worry about so quit worrying so much!" Charlie ended the discussion before turning on a radio and listening to the night's DJ playing sweet blues letting the tension in the room melt away.

"Besides isn't there something more we could be doing, Itch?" Charlie sauntered over to the nervous Dachshund and slowly began to nuzzle him. Itchy gasped and whined as he felt the heat from the other canine course over him and then surround his small form.

Though the time that they had known each other Charlie had developed a bond with the other canine and birth a mutual understanding, which evolved into a friendship and finally a companionship between the two. It was an unsteady thing what was between the German Shepherd and the Dachshund but never the less it was there and beat strongly.

"You used that stuff I got cha' I see. Good boy. I don't want fleas over me or this place again Itch." The Dachshund bowed his head as he remembered the time when his flea infestation had been an upset to Charlie and had the shepherd pissed for days.

"Yeah, sorry about that." Itchy wiggled his smaller body as the larger dog rubbed against him from head to tail and go around back of the smaller canine.

Charlie had had his share of ruts before with a few randy bitches he had come across but it was different when it came to Itchy. There was something about the smaller male canine that made the bigger Shepherd want to just...well he really didn't know. It was strange since he had conflicting emotions when it came to the smaller Dachshund.

Charlie would feel his sheath swell and the tip of his red doggy cock poke from his holder and drip out whenever he would look at the cut wagging tail of the other. The simple pink pucker almost seemed more inviting that the scalding holes of females in heat and made Charlie almost yip in expectation of the breeding he would be doing.

The small rose of muscle winked as the German Shepherd began a long night of mating with his best friend by staring with simple licks and nibbles on Itchy's tail. The Dachshund loved the feeling and would always start the night by moaning drawing a heat from Charlie and pooling said heat to his balls.

The German Shepherd's long and dexterous tongue would push into the back of the smaller dog and then slip inside where Charlie would lave around inside like he was searching for the last morsel stuck in a jar. It was like a treasure almost because the scent of his little buddy was so rich and heavy that it could take the large dog's mind away from his worries and the world. Delving inside with ravenous hunger Charlie humped the ground as his slimy cock pushed outwards and dripped onto the carpeted floor while the pounding of drums sounded in the background.

Itchy cried out as his own sheath bulged with his thick meat, a surprise for someone so short, and leak his own brand of liquid sex. Charlie pulled back when his nose was bombarded with a collective mix of smells, all driving him to hump his hips in the air and pant. Steeling his resolve the Shepherd walked over the other and then squatted down before aiming his long red rod at the ass of his mate.

Itchy griped the carpet with his claws as he knew that this part of the night would be the worse since his body wasn't made to take something that was eleven inches in length and two inches wide. He closed his eyes when Charlie found his pucker and push inside with more force that Itchy would normally take on any given day. It was no surprise that the little Dachshund rocked forward when his body was sent upwards an inch or two by the German Shepherd's thrust.

Charlie liked his bitches to be tight but by far Itchy out did them all. His tailhole was like a steel clamp as it held onto him and milked his shaft with just the first couple of inches in. Drooling onto the other's back Charlie whimpered as he held himself back from pounding his friend into the floor as he had done before. Experience had taught him that the smaller dog could only take so much even as his complaints came out in shrill yips. Itchy was tougher than the German Shepherd gave him credit for as he slid in deeper until he was almost halfway in without a sound.

Unbeknownst to Charlie, Itchy was in great pain and always was at these times but the pleasure to come afterwards was too much to let a little discomfort stop the progression. The large canine humped his hips forward stabbing the next couple of inches inside until finally he regained control of himself and settled down. Itchy rung his eyes close as tears welled but he refused to let them fall.

Charlie was in heaven as he lolled his tongue out of his mouth and rolled his eyes back a ways before thrusting forward once more and filling the Dachshund with everything he had. Itchy barked at this making the Shepherd come down to Earth and look at what he was doing...

"Itchy, you okay?" Charlie huskily asked while controlling his legs from pulling back and hurting his friend.

"Yeah. Go ahead." The Dachshund turned his head and winked at his companion before feeling Charlie's balls slap into his own when he began a small steady pace of humps.

Charlie gripped his paws around the smaller body underneath him before he raised his backend to the ceilings and then slamming back down. Itchy shook his head and bit his lips as he felt his prostate get hit dead on and the small bundle of nerves spark in rapture. His cock spit a stream of pre onto the carpet followed by another and another spurt when Charlie drove forward deep into him.

The only way to describe what Charlie was feeling was to compare his experience to the greatest joy imaginable. Itchy was hot inside and so comfortable that his tailhole almost seemed to suck the Shepherd's length of meat down into a warm abyss. Pulling back out and having the cool night air waft over his cock was like torture to Charlie but hilting inside of his best friend and letting the sensation of his knot begin to grow was like no other.

The two canines danced long and hard as they both began to draw to the conclusion of the night's fun. Charlie was never one for stamina but he was excellent on precision in Itchy's opinion. Charlie's knot slipped easily into Itchy's tailhole after the first few thrusts but as the small golf ball sized roll of flesh inflated it became harder and harder to escape the wonderful prison that was Itchy. Likewise, Itchy's own knot grew to the size of a egg and then with a sharp bark he felt Charlie hit his spot once and came onto the carpet.

The vice like grip tightened even farther onto Charlie and he tied into the Dachshund and jack hammered as best he could into his buddy and then let loose his own spunk. Barks filled the small apartment like home as the two males made themselves known to the world as they emptied out their lust.

"Itchy...(pant)....you good...(pant)...?" Charlie looked down at his mate and licked the back of the smaller dog's head in appreciation

"Yeah...I'm fine...(pant)... You gonna...?" Charlie answered the question as he cocked one leg into the air and turned around while keeping his squatting like position as to make the turning less painful on his friend.

Both stayed in that locked form for almost and hour and when Charlie could finally pull out a rush of yellowish white liquid poured from Itchy's tailhole. The bigger canine licked the dripping red pucker before dropping to the floor and cleaning himself off with the Dachshund's slim tongue aiding him.

Once done both settled down to sleep with the other surrounding himself and drifted off together.

The year passed quickly and things would change once more for both Charlie and Itchy. It was at this time that a new face would stroll into town and turn the once passive city of New Orleans into a hot spot.

His name was Carface and he looked the way his name sounded. He was crafty, shrewd, mean, and just what the world didn't need. And he had his sights set on Charlie. The Pitbull terrier had taken over some of the smaller local gambling joints and the only one he hadn't was Charlie's frequent hang out.

The news spread to the German Shepherd's ears and soon Charlie found himself playing a 'friendly' game at Carface's tables. Like all the others however, Charlie racked up big and earned the attention of the pitbull even more.

"So friend, I see that you're pretty good at the game." Carface said off handedly to a winning Charlie who took little notice at first

"Yeah, so what's it too yah?" Charlie looked the other up and down before cocking his head to and fro in question.

"Hey! Hey now! No need to get hostile I got a little proposition for you." And as the other canine whispered into the Shepherd's ear so began a long nightmare that Charlie wouldn't find himself waking up to alive.

Carface was as mean as he was ruthless and soon eh began to dominate New Orleans from the shadows. Dogs had to come to him for gambling, loans, and to pay off debts and while he was getting richer, thanks to his lucky friend Charlie, everyone else was learning what it meant to cross the Pitbull terrier,

At first it was nothing but soon the number of dogs that went missing became a worry. Some just disappear while others had 'accidents'. Had he been smarter at the time Charlie would have noticed that everything seemed to circle around Carface but in his greed the German Shepherd knew nothing. It wasn't just that he didn't know anything but that he had been warned by Itchy about Carface's treachery but his lust for 'things' grew to blind Charlie.

A small rift grew between the Shepherd and the Dachshund but Itchy wasn't about to allow it to spread further so in the end the smaller canine kept silent even as he watched his best friend sink into a pit he was about to find he couldn't get out of.

Fast-talking and dealing led the Pitbull and German Shepherd to the top but the price began to be too much for Carface as he noted that Charlie was getting out of his control. It was subtle at first but soon the two business partners had a long-winded altercation that led to their partnership coming to a sudden close. It made Itchy happy to note that his best friend would come to his senses and everything could go back to normal but for Carface he didn't like being second-guessed or disobeyed.

Though he reconciled later with Charlie Carface had the German Shepherd caught by the pound unawares to the other's knowledge. It was Itchy who rescued Charlie and then....
