Sometimes my brony comes out in my writing :P

Jesse heard a knock on his front door as he got out of the shower, he quickly pulled on a shirt and some shorts then ran to the door. As he yanked the door open to find who was knocking a bright purple flash blinded him, "Holy crap!" He jumped as the flash blinded him, after a moment the dots cleared from his eyes and he was able to see. He took a quick glance around and saw that no one was there, "Must've been a prank from those damn kids." He grumbled as he started to close the door. As Jesse closed the door he felt the door stop on something, he looked down and saw a box lying on the floor. "I didn't order anything, who could've done this?" He picked up the box and peeked at the top, his name and address were clearly labeled on the top. "I guess someone must've sent this to me..." He closed the door and walked into his kitchen; he opened up a drawer and pulled out a steak knife. "Well might as well cut this thing open." He slid the knife down the length of the tape. Jesse set the knife on the counter and grabbed at the edges of the cardboard and opened it up, as he opened it up a flood of packing peanuts poured out of the box. "This must be fragile if they packed it with so many peanuts." After pulling all of the packing peanuts out he found himself pulling a slim black suitcase out of the box, "What is this...?" He looked over the box and found a note taped to it, he pulled the note off and as he opened it he noted the immaculate handwriting on it. "Dear Jesse, I hope you enjoy the package that I have sent. But before you open it I would like to ask that you would not open it until Halloween." Jesse read off the note in his head, he glanced at the suitcase and pondered over it. "The note asked me to wait until Halloween, should I do it or not...?" Jesse thought it over for a few minutes then glanced at his calendar, "It's only three days until Halloween... I guess I can wait that long."

Jesse picked up the box and walked over to the closet and set it on the top shelf, "You'll be safe here." As he set the box down he realized that he was still wet, "Oh shit I forgot to dry off." He looked at the floor and saw a trail of water all over the floor, "God damn it!" He walked towards the bathroom to grab a towel, as he was walking away the suitcase suddenly flashed an eerie purple glow. After drying up the floor Jesse threw the towel into the hamper in the closet, he took a good glance at the suitcase. "Be patient Jesse, it's only three days." He muttered to himself, the man walked over to the couch and slouched onto it. He glanced around as if to make sure no one was watching him and turned on the TV, he quickly flicked through the channels until he found what he was looking for. For the last year he had been a in the closet brony. He enjoyed the childlike humor of MLP, but the thing that had interested him the most was the small purple dragon Spike. Jesse had liked the little dragon as soon as he had seen him; some people might call the fanaticism that he showed for the dragon an obsession. He just thought that he was an avid fan of the character. Jesse had actually gone as far as decorate his bedroom, secretly of course, with pictures of Spike. As he was watching the episode of MLP he rewinded a few times to see Spike, he himself didn't quite understand why he loved the character so much but whatever the reason the man liked Spike. After an hour of watching the show Jesse glanced at his watch and realized that it was twelve at night, he quickly shut off his TV and turned in for the night. As he passed by the closet he opened the door and glanced at the suitcase inside as if to make sure that it was really there. He then jumped into his bed and started to drift off, as he was closing his eyes he did his nightly ritual of looking over all of the Spike pictures. As his eyes went onto the last Spike picture he thought he saw the dragon's eyes glow purple, he looked again and saw that it wasn't glowing and put it off as him imagining things.

The next morning Jesse woke up and started to prepare to go to work; as he walked towards his front door he realized that he had forgotten his house keys. He walked back towards the kitchen counter and reached for the keys, as he picked them up he glanced over at the note from the previous night. He thought about it for a moment and realized that he needed a grocery list so he decided to use the back of the note, as he wrote out a list on the back of the paper he didn't notice that his handwriting was neater then it usually was. He stuff the note into his pocket and walked out of his apartment with keys in hand. He climbed into his car and started to drive towards his workplace, as he was driving he felt as if something was wrong but he couldn't place it. He thought about riding horses for some odd reason but he just played it off as some distant childhood memory, what he didn't seem to realize was that he had never once in his life ridden a horse.

The man finally got to work and started to do all of his work, as he worked he found his mind drifting to MLP for some odd reason. After a while he was finally able to get his mind back to the task at hand and worked for the rest of the day without a problem. After leaving work he drove to his local store, as he was buying his groceries he saw a journal on sale. As he looked at it he suddenly had the urge to buy it, he walked by it and picked it up.

After getting home and unpacking all of his groceries he absentmindedly grabbed the journal off of the counter and carried it with him to the couch. As Jesse turned on MLP he grabbed a pen and started to chew on the top as if thinking about something to write, after a moment he realized what he was doing and put the pen and journal down. "Have I ever even written in a journal...?" He asked himself, as he watched more of the children's show he found himself pausing for even longer then he normally did on Spike. Jesse realized what he was doing; he was studying the dragon's mannerisms.

"Cut it out!" Jesse scolded himself, he forced himself to change the channel and watch a boring documentary. As Jesse watched the show he realized that it wasn't helping him in the least and the best he could probably do was clean up around the house. Jesse grabbed a feather duster hidden in the back of one of his cupboards and started to dust off things around the house, as he was dusting he didn't seem to realize that he didn't use the feather duster unless his parents came over. As Jesse walked into the closet he noticed the suitcase, "Oh I forgot about you..." He muttered as he looked over the box, he realized that the box had no catch or anything that showed that it could be opened. "How am I even supposed to open this thing...?" He asked the box as if it could answer, after a few moments he decided that he could figure it out later. After Jesse dusted out the closet he finished up the rest of the house, as he finished up cleaning he checked the time and saw that it was already twelve at night. "Wow, time flies when you're cleaning..." He walked over to the cupboard and put the feather duster back in, as he walked past his couch he absentmindedly grabbed the journal and pen.

Jesse settled into his bed and held the pen and journal in front of his face, after a moment of waiting for something he blinked. "What... am I waiting for again?" He was perplexed at the odd things that he was doing. Jesse nibbled on his lip and realized that he actually wanted to write a entry in the journal, "I guess it couldn't hurt..." He muttered as he pressed his pen to the surface of the paper. "Dear Pri..." Jesse paused and shook his head, "I think I'm sniffing something..." He laughed as he scribbled out the words and restarted the page, "Dear journal, today I finished up a fifty page report on the fiscal quarter. It was extremely annoying to write but I finally got it done." He found himself writing for almost an hour, as Jesse wrote his old chicken scratch style of writing seemed to change into a much finer writing style. After writing in the journal he read over it, surprised at how much he had written. "I haven't handwritten something for a long time..." He muttered to himself as he put the journal and pen on the night table beside him, what he hadn't witnessed was as he was writing the suitcase in the closet had been glowing a steady purple glow. Jesse slipped under his covers and slept a dreamless night, as he slept the suitcase continued to glow. As Jesse woke up his Iris's glowed a green color for a moment before he blinked, as he started to prepare for work he found himself not wanting to go in. "What is wrong with me?..." He was irritated with himself at this sluggish attitude, as he was walking towards the door the suitcase inside the closet suddenly exploded with purple light. Jesse stopped dead in his tracks, "Well I haven't used my vacation days from the last few years..." Jesse muttered to himself as he wandered over to the phone, "Hello sir something came up I just wanted to tell you that I'm using my vacation days." His boss was fine with Jesse taking some days off, he had known that the man worked himself half to death making sure that he never missed a day of work. Jesse walked away from the phone with a content smile on his face, he slumped onto his couch and flipped to MLP and started to watch it all day. As the day went on he didn't realize that his eyes were flashing between their normal blue color to a green reptilian look and back.

As Jesse turned off his TV he decided that he would dust his house again, he walked over to the cupboard and grabbed the feather duster and went over his house again. As he walked into the closet he walked by the suitcase and saw that it was glowing a bright purple color, for some reason the sight didn't seem to surprise him. When he finished up dusting he put the feather duster back and practically ran into his bedroom. He grabbed his journal and pen then started to write fervently. "Dear Princess, I had the best day today. I watched the best show ever and after that I started to dust up the whole house. I can't believe how much fun dusting can be!" As Jesse finished writing he checked over his work, he realized that he had written princess instead of journal. He was about to scribble it out but then decided to just leave it as it was. What also caught Jesse's eye was how great his handwriting had become, it was as if he had taken calligraphy classes. As Jesse slipped into sleep he found his dreams full of ponies, for some reason they seemed extremely familiar to him. As Jesse slept the suitcase popped open at the stroke of midnight, when he woke up he realized what the day was. As if he was a kid on Christmas morning he ran to the closet to get the suitcase, he quickly grabbed the suitcase and ran it out to the couch and set it down. He slowly opened up the top and was greeted by a note on top, "Happy Halloween!" He smiled as he read over the impressive calligraphy. As he lifted the note he grinned broadly at the sight of what was underneath, a small sea of scales greeted him. As he touched the scales Jesse realized that it was a suit, as he pulled out the suit he felt the supple materiel beneath his fingers. As it unfolded he realized what it was, it was a suit of Spike made out of latex. "This looks great!" He grinned as he rubbed his hand over it, the thought didn't even click in his head at how somebody knew that he was brony. He excitedly stripped off his clothes and started to pull on the latex suit, he felt the latex stretch over his skin and fit nicely. As he pulled the suit over his chest he didn't notice the tail in the back suddenly start to twitch.

His legs tensed and started to shrink as the suit started to change him, Jesse was too excited to notice the changes. As he started to pull the mask over his head his irises changed to a green reptilian look and stayed that way. The latex was pulling tight on every part of his body and was overwriting his human body. Jesse started to walk towards the bathroom as the changes continued, by the time he had reached the bathroom he was too short to see into the mirror. Unperturbed by his diminutive size Jesse jumped up onto the counter and looked into the mirror and smiled at what he saw. "Wow I look exactly like Spike!" He grinned broadly, the latex had even changed his teeth into sharp fangs. As he was admiring himself a figure approached him from behind, "Did you enjoy your present Jesse?" Jesse was took busy admiring himself to look behind him, "Oh yeah! This is so awesome!" "That's good, now are you ready to come home Spike?" As the voice said these words suddenly Jesse felt a spark of magic pass over his body and quickly started to overwrite what was left of his human persona, "Wait what's going on...?" He clenched his eyes shut tight as the magic worked it's way into the former human's brain, past memories were being taken out and others were being put in. How he was born from an egg and how Twilight Sparkle had raised him. "No.... please stop, I'm a human..." He painfully grunted out. "Oh Spike are you imaging that you're imaginary creatures again?" The magic prodded deeper into his mind, the magic made him think that Jesse was a figment of his imagination. After a few moments Spike opened his eyes and looked around and saw Twilight Sparkle standing behind him, "Oh hi Twilight, what's happening?" Twilight grinned at the newly changed dragon, "I came to get you for Nightmare Night." Spike grinned, "Oh awesome! Are we going to get candy?" Twilight smiled, "Of course." As Spike jumped off of the counter in excitement Twilight grinned with a devious sparkle in her eyes, "Don't forget your scroll Spike." Spike nodded and ran into his old room, as he looked around Twilight turned the journal into a scroll. "Here it is Spike." He grabbed the scroll and ran out of the door to wait for Twilight. The unicorn glanced over the room for a brief moment then smiled, "Happy Halloween Jesse."
