Chapter one

Chuck Williams once said, "Life is brilliant and I don't see it changing at this point in time." Wow he was wrong. Chuck was a 17 years old boy, 5foot 10, brown hair with blonde tips most of the time he had his hair gelled up all scruffy and had a fringe in front of his blue eyes. He lived in Orange County (Florida.) He had moved there from New York when he was 10 as his family had to relocate due to his dads work.

Chuck family consisted of his mum (Janice) who was a kind person who would help anyone at the drop of a penny, She was a beautiful woman who even in her mid 40s still looked 30 she had streaky blonde hair, blue eyes and stood at 5 foot 2. Chuck felt that his mum was his safe house in some way, such as he could tell her anything and she would help him no matter what.

Chucks dad (Johnny) is the complete opposite; he didn't give a shit about anyone apart from himself, any way he could improve his life he would for example having to move to orange county for his work. He was looking a lot older than you would think than a 45 year old, he had bright white hair, blue eyes with huge bags under them and stood at 6foot 2 inches.

Chuck also had a younger sister called Summer. She was only 15 years old but looked nearly as old as chuck, she was identical to pictures of her mother back in high school. Bright blonde hair that hung just below her neck, stunning blue eyes and was 5 foot 2. Chuck took care of his sister, as she was slightly dumb and naive.

Chuck goes to High school, there are about 5000 students in the school, it was just like any other school, you had the jocks, cheerleaders, stoners, the Average Joe and then the people who everyone picks on the sad acts. Chuck didn't belong in any of these to be honest; he was known by everyone and was never picked he had become a legend in the school with his best friend the Reggie.

Reggie was the captain of the soccer team, he was 5 foot 11, had a bleach blonde Mohawk and a dark suntan. He wore contacts also, and the contacts were on special order where they were white so all you could see was the dark pupil. He was well built due to the soccer and training. He is one of the most honest kids around, he didn't pick on people like the rest of the soccer team.

Reggie and Chuck had known each other ever since chuck moved to Orange County. They only live down the road from each other. They met on the beach, which is behind their houses. Reggie was just having a kick about up against the barricade on the beach. He hit the ball slightly to hard and the ball curled as it hit the wall and flew down the beach. The ball managed to hit chuck as he was sunbathing. Chuck sunbathed quiet often when he moved down to Florida, as he still didn't have the Florida tan due to not living in Orange County all his life. When the ball hit Chuck he jumped up and ran up the beach to give the ball back as he knew he would get to meet someone new. Reggie was apologetic and offered chuck to have a kick about on the beach with him. Even to this date they have a kick about couple times a week in the evenings on the beach.

At school they ran the place together, everyone wanted to be with them. Chuck had loved the past couple years at school and wasn't looking forward to them ending.

It was first day of term and it wasn't the perfect day as Reggie and Chuck were hoping for. Florida was having a terrible storm so even getting to school was terrible, the rain pounding of the windscreen of chucks jeep convertible. Chuck was hoping to turn up at school with the roof off, music blaring out for everyone to hear and to be seen by everyone that the school year has just began.

Chuck and Reggie walked through the hall way as if they ruled the school. Reggie and Chuck weren't in the same classes, but when they weren't in class they were together most of the time. Chuck had science first lesson, he had sat in the same seat for the past 2 years with a girl sat in front of him who for some reason he was never able to speak to.

Her name was Kara, She was in the cheerleaders but for some reasons she wasn't like the others cheerleaders. She had dark black hair with white highlights, dark drown eyes and was just a bit shorter than Chuck.

As chuck sat there he was thinking, "How can I speak to this girl, Why can't I speak to her, I don't have a problem speaking to anyone, apart from her"

Just as chuck picked up the courage to say hello and try to speak to her a new person walked into the class. His name was Billy Shipward.

Billy was a mysterious kid, he wore a black leather biker jacket, blue jeans, He had pitch black hair which was styled across his eyes and was rather long for a boy, He wore one of them beanies what have the excess space so chuck couldn't figure out how long his hair really was. He was introduced to the class but all he done was look at the floor and said in a deep dark voice "Hello,"

Billy then got told to go sit next to Kara, which really didn't impress chuck, just as he was about to speak to her this new kid come along and was blocking his opportunity. Chuck sat there getting more jealous every second and he just didn't know what to do. Chuck knew that he was losing the chance to make his impression on her for the first day of term, he had got his confidence up to speak to her and he was unable to follow through.

The lesson wasn't even half way through and Billy was making his move on Kara. Chuck sat there wanting to beat the crap out of this new kid. He just kept hearing Kara fake laugh and getting to know this mysterious kid more. Chuck had to do something to get the new kid out of the class or at least away from Kara so he could speak to her.

Chuck grabbed his phone and text Reggie

"Yo man there's some new kid chatting up Kara just as I was about to speak to her, what shall I do."

Chuck sat there and had no reply, he didn't understand why Reggie hadn't replied as his first lesson of the day as he had Maths.

Finally Reggie text chuck back

"Dude your chuck, you are one of the most popular kids in this school, just speak to her and stop being such a pussy"

Chuck knew that he had to do something, he looked down at the table and then he grabbed his compos. He had second thoughts of what he was about to do but then he thought now or never and decided throw it at the teacher. He knew that he would get away throwing the compass, as the teachers didn't think he was like this.

The teacher instantly blamed Billy as he looked like a rebel and nobody in that part of the room would do this. Billy was sent to the principles office instantly, as the teacher was angry to have a compass thrown at her. The teacher was fuming she decided that if someone can do this to her she can throw stuff about too. She started to throw some paper and books around the class, she had flipped. One of the other students ran next door and got the other teacher who came and took her to the teachers lounge.

The class ended early due to the crazy teacher flipping. As the students all started to pack their stuff away Kara turned around and smiled at chuck. Chuck become really shy and started blushing, finally he had his chance to speak to her. He plucked the courage up and said, "Hi Kara how are you" Kara started speaking to chuck but he wasn't listening he was just excited as he had finally spoke to this beautiful girl who had never had the courage to speak to.

Kara and chuck walked out of the class and went outside and sat on the stairs to the front of the school. They were speaking for hours by accident just finding out a little bit about each other. Chuck spoke about his family, how he moved here when he was young and how him and Reggie had become friends and his hobbies.

Kara was very interested in everything he was speaking about. Kara didn't speak much about her family, Chuck didn't ask, as he was just happy speaking to her for the first time. She just spoke about music and how she loves to play guitar and sing. Also why she was a cheerleader and her friends. Chuck the plucked up the courage and asked her to come see him at the beach in the evening where Chuck and Reggie normally had a kick about but she declined and said she will see him in school tomorrow and then got up and walked away.

Chuck didn't know how to take how she just said could just say no and speak to you tomorrow after sitting there for so long. But chuck was just happy speaking to her and was very impressed with himself for finally picking up the courage to speak to her. He just sat on the steps drinking a bottle of water when the bell started ringing.

Just as Chuck stood up thinking that it was next class Reggie jumped on his back, and was very excited.

Chuck asked him "what's up why aren't you going class."

Reggie Replied

"It's the lunch, what time do you think it is?"

Chuck couldn't believe it he had spent all morning and missed a lot of his classes speaking to Kara. Then Reggie ran down the stairs and jumped into the jeep and took the roof off as it had brightened up since the morning.

As they were driving out of the car park, Chuck saw Billy, He knew that what he had done was wrong in class but he started laughing because he really didn't give a shit he had finally spoken to Kara. Chuck explained to Reggie how he had got Billy chucked out the class and how the teacher flipped out. Then he got speaking to Kara all morning on the steps. As they were about to pull out onto the highway, Billy flew past on his motorbike and joined up with a load of bikers who were passing past. Chuck knew that he was going to regret what he had done to Billy in class.

As Chuck and Reggie pulled up to the supermarket chuck saw Kara. He knew that he could speak to her now but as he said hi to her she just completely blanked him and walked away into her high priced Honda S2000.

Chuck was shocked that she didn't speak to him, he just stood there and didn't say a word, mean while Reggie had grabbed Chuck's bottle of water and threw it over chucks head. Reggie just laughed and went on to say "Lets go get our munch and get back to school to have a kick about"

Chuck was always amazed by Reggie and how cool he always was. Reggie had actually broken up with his girlfriend at the start of the day that's why chuck didn't get his text as fast as he normally gets a reply. But Reggie just had shock it off and was ready to be himself. Chuck was the opposite he had only just got over his ex who broke up with him at the start of the summer break.

After the supermarket the flew back in school, Music blaring with old punk rock music blaring, at this point it was The clash "Should I stay or Should I go" the boys loved all kinds of music but The clash was their favourite.

As they were putting the roof up Billy pulled up beside them and just stared at Chuck. Chuck got out the car as Billy rose of his bike and took his glasses off.

Billy asked straight up

"Why on earth did you do that to the teacher knowing I would get kicked out of the class?"

Chuck replied,

"Just felt like it, I didn't mean it to hit her and get you kicked out I was just bored, but I was happy that you were kicked out as it got me a free period as the teacher flipped"

Billy then went to pick chuck up by the throat but chuck ducked and winded Billy then threw him onto the bonnet of the Jeep. Chuck said,

"Don't ever try that shit with me or you will regret it"

Billy just stared at Chuck and didn't say a word, it was like he was looking straight through into his soul. Chuck got a bit creped out by Billy staring at him like this and threw Billy towards the school then yelled "Piss of you weirdo!"

Chuck and Reggie started walking back into the school, as they walked into the main door Chuck saw Kara, he told Reggie that he had to go and see him after school.

Chuck ran through the corridor to catch up with Kara, As she turned around he stopped running whilst making sure he wasn't looking to hot and bothered. Kara stopped and waited for chuck. He couldn't decided weather to ask her why she ignored him or just leave it. She smiled at him and said "hi how you doing?"

Chuck was confused about her blanking him at the supermarket but he was just happy she actually remembered speaking to him that morning. As he was about to answer her she said

"You really can't get enough of me can you, might come meet you at the beach later if you really want me to."

Chuck was speechless; he started smiling and then as he said

"Yah that would be good."

Kara just said see you soon and walked away.

Chuck was hooked, she was so mysterious but he couldn't help but want to see her and be excited at the thought of even seeing her out of school. He instantly rang Reggie as he walked to the IT room.

"Yo Reggie you up for a kick about tonight, Kara is dropping past to the beach and I told her we would be there. Ill tell ya more later dude. See Ya!"

The rest of the day went slow for chuck all he could do was think about tonight and what was going to happen and if she actually will turn up or not.

Reggie stared at the clock in the final lesson off the day. Then finally it was in the last min of the day. He had already packed his bag and then in his head he was counting down the seconds "10, 9 ,8 ,7,6,5,4,3,2,1" as the bell started he just yelled "FINALLY" the teacher just stared at chuck but by the time he said anything to chuck he was on his way out the door.

Chuck sprinted to his locked threw his bag and stuff into the small locker near the principles office. As he closed his locker he noticed that Billy was in the principles office, at that point he thought that the weird new kid had grassed him in about threatening him outside at lunch, but Chuck was so excited he just said

"Fuck it ill deal with it tomorrow"

Frank who had the locker next to him just stared at Chuck thinking that his flipped as his speaking to nobody but chuck just ran to the Jeep.

Chuck was so excited that he forgot to wait for Reggie. As chuck was taking the roof off as it was the beautiful day that they had wanted in the morning. Reggie was walking out the door. Chuck started pulling away and Reggie had to chase after him, he jumped off the grassy-verged wall into the back off the Jeep and said to chuck,

"Man I'm no superman why you wanting me to fly!"

Then Reggie slapped chuck round the head and said

"Budge over its my turn to drive." As they drove out the gates chuck saw Billy sat on his bike staring at him.

Chuck didn't understand how Billy had got there so fast as he was in the principles office when chuck was at his locker, but he was staring at Chuck like he did when he had him pined up on the bonnet. Chuck weren't having him trying to creep him out so as they went past him he threw some eggs that had been left in the back of the jeep from when a bunch of them had gone around the town couple weeks back egging random people.

Chapter Two

Once home from School Chuck was buzzing, he flew up to his room. He had a huge room what was kitted out with a large 42 inch HD LCD Samsung TV with a huge sound system hooked up to the tele. He had 3 different computer consoles and a computer, which runs on the tele, which were completely wireless so he could just chill out in his beanie chair. He had an on suite bathroom in which he was in within 5 mins of being in his room. As he got out the shower he walked over to the wardrobe and in the bottom he had a small fridge, he put his sound system on and walked out and sat on the balcony in which he could see the beach.

Chuck got dressed in some joggers and went down to make some dinner, everyone was out and there was a note that they had to fly out to New York and that his sister was with them so he had the house to himself. At first chuck wasn't that worried about why they had to go to New York due to him going out later to see Kara. Chuck took his munch back up to his room and eat it out on the balcony.

Chuck loved having his room, with the balcony he used to sneak in and out during the night so his family didn't know how late he was out. Chuck sat out on the balcony listening to music, eating and trying to decide weather dress a bit smart or casual so that Kara doesn't know that he is excited about seeing her. As chuck sat there on the balcony sunbathing there was a huge bang on the door.

Chuck stood up and walked over to the edge of the balcony, as he looked over Reggie threw a water balloon straight up into his face. Chuck laughed, as he wasn't dry from his shower he didn't really mind. Chuck then threw over the step ladder in which he use's to sneak out, so that Reggie could get up the ladder as chuck really couldn't be bothered to go down and open the door.

Reggie got to the top, then he decided to jump over the edge and start eating Chucks dinner. Chuck wasn't to bothered as he was full and wanted to get ready to go to the beach. Chuck turned to Reggie and said,

"What should I wear, should I dress kind of smart or just casual?"

Reggie started laughing and then chuckled,

"Man your turning into a girl, just chuck some swim shorts on and lets go!"

Chuck started laughing and put on his ¾ length swim shorts and a vest.

Reggie and Chuck were on the beach for about an hour kicking the football about, Chuck was getting really good now and Reggie was trying to get him involved on the team at school but Chuck thinks it's a waste of time.

Suddenly there was a horn blown from this car which is parked up at chuck house. It was dark so the boys couldn't figure out who it was, then the car suddenly was turned off and all they could see was a slim figure walking towards them, Reggie and Chuck stood there watching as the slim figure got closer. Suddenly there was a voice, "Is that chuck?"

"Is that you Chuck? It's Kara from school"

Chuck was in shock he couldn't believe that she had actually turned up to come and see him. He turned to Reggie and said,

"Piss off in a bit mate, remember I said that Kara was coming to see me tonight, so stay about for a bit then can you go please."

Reggie replied,

"For you anything chuck." Then he slapped his arse. Just like any other jock does in our school.

Kara walked slowly up to Chuck and she was dressed just in a pair of joggers and a gig t-shirt. Then just out of the blue she went up and gave him a tight cuddle and a kiss on the cheek. Chuck stood the in shock, she just don't make since to him, one min she don't want to know him in the supermarket and now this time she gets close to him. Then she turned to Reggie and said,

"Oh I know you, you're the captain of the soccer team."

Reggie goes to speak but she turns back to Chuck and starts asked him,

"What do you want to do tonight? Or you just wanting to hang about here?"

Reggie stood up and said to Chuck,

"Ay up Chuck I'm going, I got to go town to see Megan"

Chuck turns to Reggie,

"Who the hells Megan?"

Reggie Replies,

"She's in college, I met her in the summer at that pool party at my ex's"

Chuck just laughs and says,

"Go have fun with Meg, Don't be stupid and don't nick me Jeep!"

Reggie just laughs and as he ran away he yells something about his mums car.

Chucks heart started beating so fast he could feel it in his head, he was sat there on the sand watching the end of today's sunset with the one girl who he was wanting to see for the past 2 years. Kara suddenly said

"This is beautiful, I would never of thought I would be sat here watching a sunset with you."

Chuck replied,

"What do you mean by that? Sat here with me?"

Kara started to chuckle and said,

"I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I have been wanting to speak to you for the past 2 years but your like of the most popular kids in school and I'm just me, Someone who don't fit in with the people she hangs out with."

Chuck was amazed he couldn't believe this was coming out of this stunning girls mouth. Chuck wiggled a bit closer to her in the sand and smiled. Then chuck said,

"I am the same, I have been wanting to speak to you for the past couple years but I was shy with you for some reason. It's like you have a power over me. I'm not shy with anyone but you. Whenever I'm speaking to you I am amazed with every word that comes out of your mouth."

Kara laid down in the sand with her lent up on his leg and said

"We are here now, together and its perfect."

Chuck sat there and had never had such a smile on his face. Then out of nowhere he went for it, he kissed her. Every second of the kiss his heart was pounding so hard he thought that he might be having a heart attack.

Chuck and Kara laid on the sand staring up into the star's in silence. Then Kara sat up and said

"Lets go"

Chuck asked her,

"Where do you want to go, I have a empty house if you want to go there."

Kara jumped up and said,

"Nah I want to go somewhere, jump in me car, if you beat me there you can drive!"

Kara started running across the beach to her Honda, Chuck tried to catch up but he kept dripping up as he was in bare feet.

Kara beat chuck to the car and had the engine running before Chuck got off the beach. He couldn't believe how fast she could run but he needed to go grab a hoodie and shoes. He yelled as he jumped on his stepladder,

"Hold up ill be there in a second"

He grabbed the first hoodie he could find and swiped some of his trainers as he rushed out the door and jumped over the car door into the passenger seat. Kara turned and kissed him and smiled as she wheel span sideward out of the drive.

Kara drove like a formula one driver through any road possible. Chuck had never been in a car like this, speeding well over 110mph, drifting around any corner possible. But he was impressed that she managed to keep the car on the road constant, especially around the hilltops.

Kara then pulled over at the top of this hill, it was a beautiful. Chuck and Kara could see the whole of Orange County from this hill. There was nobody around for miles. It's was quiet all you could hear was the car running on tick over, and the countryside. Chuck then said,

"We have been wanting to speak to each other for years, and we finally have today, this has been amazing, I just want to know if you want to be serious with me, like be my girlfriend?"

There was a silence, between the two of them and then Kara finally spoke and said,

"Okay, we have to go public and not hide this as I have previously had to keep a relationship quiet for months and I still don't mention that relationship."

Chuck just wanted to jump up and about but he knew that he would look like an idiot. Then Kara got out the car and went and sat on the bonnet. Chuck got out the car and went and joined her, and then she whispered,

"Imagine something exploded just down there, it would look amazing from up here."
