CHAPTER 2

2 minutes later at Sonics house, sonic came down from the bathroom to the living room where shadow was supposed to be. "So I'm back, what are you waaatch- shadow?", sonic said noticing that shadow was gone. Worried the blue hedgehog started to look for him everywhere, in the kitchen, rooms, garden, street, bathroom (the single one at his home, but looking there anyway) etc. The only idea he had was asking his parents, so he ran upstairs to their room. "Mom, Dad, have you seen shadow?", he asked. "No sonic, wasn't he with you?", Sofia told, sonic denied that and started to get really worried, also his parents. All three were looking for him outside the house, asking neighbors and friends, nobody knew where he could be. "Honey, maybe he wanted to be alone for sometime after the catastrophe, I think he'll back later.. Let's get back", Sofia mentioned, sonic just nodded sadly and with his parents, turned back home.

In the Gay-Bar, Snake were drinking beer while shadow, Maurice and speech, dressed like girls were playing UNO. "Take four blacky", said speech to shadow putting a +4 card on the others. "I hate this game..", shadow complained taking that number of cards, "only because you always loose", Maurice joked. After some minutes playing UNO the bar was full of homosexuals, millionaires and prostitutes, which shadow Maurice and speech also were. Shadow has been an uke-prostitute since he's 7 years old, because he needed the money for the orphanage; in there the only person who knew in what the black hedgehog worked, was Sonia. Although the orphanage no longer exits, shadow's accustomed to be in that bar 6 days a week from 9:30PM to 3AM; Maurice, speech, snake and two other boys (Aaron the mongoose and Nyle the hedgehog) were his best friends since he was in there; and ¨blacky¨ since then too is his nickname. Also in the bar is shadow the youngest (Nyle the oldest), that's why almost all homosexuals want him, including snake.

"Blacky you're alive!!", Nyle voiced kissing shadows cheek like crazy, the black hedgehog just rolled his eyes. "Let him breathe nasty!", speech spoke with his eyebrows raised. "Want a kiss too language?", Nyle joked winking, speech only showed him his tongue, hating to be called ¨language¨. "Alright it's 10:57PM, ladies in 40 minutes you got to act!", snake mentioned to all prostitutes, "gladly! I love that!!", Maurice shots like a crazy fan girl. "Well blacky, where do you gone to stay after what happened?", Aaron enquiries looking at the youngest prostitute, "I met a guy who left me stay at his home until I find a house for me", shadow replied. "Is he cute?", Nyle asks curious, "I guess", answers the black hedgehog. "Ooooh, you got to take him here Julia!", jokes speech taking sonic as Romeo. "Keep dreaming!!", shadow shots frustrated, after all they know that for him has it to be a secret where he works. "Calm down hotty, I was kidding.. After all we don't want that he takes you from us away!", speech mentioned decided, while the others are nodding. Shadow sighs, calms himself and goes with the others on the setting to act.

It was 2AM at Sonics house and because of the concern, sonic couldn't sleep the whole night, knowing an orphan was alone outside. "I was never that worried about someone, and even not of one that I actually just met, what if someone kidnapped him?", sonic reflects on his bed looking at the ceiling. After sometime sonic gets up from his bed, and leaves again he's house to look for shadow. The blue hedgehog went to the park, a few streets from his home, and sat down on a bench. "I hope he's ok", were Sonics thoughts sitting there. Sonic remembered when he shadow met, that happened just hours ago and the blue hedgehog felt like knowing him since ever, that's why he was so worried; or maybe not knowing it, he had another reason.. It was 2:30AM and sonic sat on the same bench waiting for shadow, maybe he would walk near that street; after that sonic heard some voices coming to the park, his distrust made him hide himself behind the bench. He heard then much familiar laughter's above him. "Sonic you coward, it's us!", told a friend of his called knuckles the echidna, accompanied by jet the hawk and espio the chameleon, "oh, hi guys! What are you doing here at this time?", sonic asked getting up. "We were at the disco, it was amazing you should have gone.", jet answered, espio just nodded and didn't say anything. "Sorry guys I couldn't, better luck next time..", sonic spoke a little tired and discouraged, so after sometime knuckles, jet and espio left the place and sonic started to wait again.

It was 3AM, sonic was lying on the bench now staring at the night-sky, he could see the moon lighting the night, and also it could light someone who was walking to the park; the same distrust made sonic hide himself. After a few steps, sonic could see very well now who it was: "SHADOW!!!! HERE YOU ARE!!!", he shots like a military. Shadow was more than scared now and wow was he blushing of shame. "Where the hell have you been? I and my family were really worried about you! If you didn't want to stay, you should have told us, not just running away..", he said fast, and his voice obviously sounded worried. Shadow looked down in shame, "I-I'm sorry sonic, I just wanted to be alone for a time.. I wanted to come back..", he whispered slowly, "but I think you don't want me anymore in your house, do you?", he adds sadly. "Are you crazy? Of course I, ohm, we want you in there; we want to protect you until we find a house for you, and if that doesn't happen you can stay with us, really!", sonic explained fast and easily, also happy having the black hedgehog again with him. Shadow looked up to him, dropping a tear; sonic noticed that and felt a knot on his heart, the only thing he did, was hugging him. "Shadow, you really can stay, we'll protect you and I can be like you're older brother, what do you think?", sonic murmured in shadows ear, still hugging him; the black hedgehog started to cry and corresponds the embrace: "I want to sonic, thank you..", he rustled sobbing. Sonic broke the hug smiling and cleaned shadows tears, "then younger brother, let's go home", he said and took shadow by the hand to the mansion. Shadow was happy seeing how sonic treat him like his brother, but his secret won't be reviled, even if he's gone to be part of the family.
