Chapter 6

Deadly Secrets

At the lake 12:00am

Dane paced back and forth on fours mumbling angrily. Knowing mating season just arrived, hungry for her blood and love making his demon instinct kicked to sniff her out and search for her. He tries to fight his instincts till Koi splashes water happily. He looks around for signs that Jess is coming, but only sees another goldfish that is black and same size as Koi pop its head out of water. The fishes snuggles on each other making Dane smile then pats Koi head, "Go on and love on your black moor friend." He watches them swim away underwater as his thoughts returns to Jess. He feels the urge of his instincts returned and tired of being separated from his mate.

He feels the rage and fear grows inside his body as the change of the demon take over. When the transformation completes, the simian let out a big roar like scream. He takes off in the speed faster than a cheetah on fours as his snout search for the scent of his mate. He arrived at the robot, ripping the metal door out with his demonic strength. As the demon trot in the room, the alarm went off, "Damn!" He hears the voices and feet approaching to his way.

"I thought I heard something over here." Nova said, as the team approached the area and sees nothing. Sprx looked at the empty doorway with claw marks "Someone must be too in hurry to knock." Chiro looked and kneeled by the dented metal ripped door on the ground, "Even strong enough to rip a metal door off its hinges." Sprx hears "Click, Click, Click!" above then looks up and before he reacted, the demonic black simian jumps down at the red simian. Sprx pushes the hissing demon off of his body then activated his transformers "Magna-Ball Beam Splitter!" He shouted as he aims for the demon. Dane dodges the beams side-to-side in a quick speed running towards to the red simian then active his ghost claws and scratched the simian in the face. Sprx fall backwards to the floor with a hand over his bleeding face as the demon jumps over him. "Don't let him escape!" Chiro shouted. "Sprx, are you alright?!"Nova helped him up. "He scratched my beautiful face!" Sprx shouted in anger.

The demon sneered after hearing Sprx complaining, but went back focusing to Jess and running to the command room. He destroys the tubes with a black and purple beam from his mouth, "That will keep them busy." He turns and approaches the computer, typing with the tips of his purple and black talons. He watches the computer loads finding the location of his mate then it shows the location that shocks him "Savage Lands?!" Savage Lands, a dangerous deadly filled with dead life forest. "I don't know how you hacked computer, but you better put your hands up in the air or I will shoot." Gibson aimed his drills at the demon. "And If I don't and you missed?" Dane asked with his claws up. Antauri phased through one of the broken tube by Gibson, "Then we have no choice, but to stop you." A grin appears on the demon face, "Three...Two...ONE!" He let out a high pitch scream, destroying the computer screen then the lights went out. As it went back on, the demonic monkey was gone. "He escaped!" Gibson panicked.

At savage lands 12:27 A.M.

Jumping branch to branch, the black female simian follows her instincts leading her to some place, but don't know where it taking her. "I feel I need to find this place, but where?" She thought then stops as her body began to ache. Jess jumps off of the branch to ground and looks for a place to rest. Nearby there is an old abandoned lab, "That kind of a good place to rest." She approached the building and enters through it two doors. The simian looks around in the room filled with dust and cobwebs then found a dusty old book on the table. She picks up the book and blows the dust off it then coughs as dust clouds appear everywhere in the air. "This place need dusting-cough!--cough!-really bad." She swatted the dust in the air and felt her instinct urging her to open the book now.

She opens the book and notice it's a journal then read it. The alchemist journal told about how he and the two other scientists quit working for the dark shadow society. He tried to save Dane when he was a baby monkey, but failed and only saved Mandarin. "Mandarin was tortured as an experiment animal too?!" Jess shouted in shock. "I hated those scientists till the alchemist saved me." A familiar voice spooked her. Jess turned around and sees the orange monkey standing in front of her holding a rainbow colored rose. He messes with the rose twisting it with his black talon like fingers, "We are brother and sister, Jess. Just like me and Dane are brothers, even as rivals." Jess holds the journal close to her chest, walks back a couple steps, "But we are n-""Shhh."He put his talon on her lips and spread his arms wide open, "I heard you always you wanted a brother. And here I am."

Jess slowly put the journal back on the table then approached the orange simian cautionly. She hears a glass like crash, "What was that?!" She runs off with the orange simian following behind her to the old dusty tubes then gasps in shock. A black wounded robotic simian kneeling on the bottom of the broken tube, coughing out liquid. He looks at Jess with his black eyes and green glowing silt pupils, reaching out for her, "J-Jess...It's me...Toxin." He collapsed to the cold, wet floor weak and wounded. She runs to the toxic monkey then hold his head close to her chest, "Are you alright?!"She asked with tears stinging her eyes. He was panting heavily and tries to speak again, "I need...something...to drink..." Jess nodded then cut her throat a little wound, "Drink." Toxin refused till she brings him close to the wound letting him smell the delicious scent of blood. He opens his mouth a little showing his fangs then bites her throat, sucking the blood. Jess tries to fight the pleasure and the instincts of her inner demon to mate, "Must control myself." Her thoughts repeated.

Toxin lets go and licks the wound then got up like he was cured and help Jess up to her feet. He senses another demon coming, sniffing the air then snarls and looks at Jess, "We need to hurry and leave." He winced as the wounds started hurting. "Toxin!" She nearly panicked. "I'm fine." He spoke till Mandarin aimed his dragon gun at them. "You're not going anywhere." The orange simian sneered. Toxin growls at the evil simian then push Jess out of the way as Mandarin fired his gun at them. He dodges the beams then pounce at the orange simian with his fangs bared in rage. The toxic simian bites the evil clone monkey and shred his skin to pieces with his green and black ghost claws. Jess watched in horror then curls into a ball covering her eyes with her tail and covering her metal ears from hearing the blood curdling piercing scream. Blood splattered everywhere as pieces of organs fly as the toxic monkey releasing his wrath on the orange simian.

As the toxic simian calms down, stopped and panting heavily, "That is for kidnapping me and putting in that tube." He snarled. He turns around and sees Jess shivering in fear, approaching the scared female black simian, nudging her with his snout. Jess uncurled from a ball and looks up at blood covered toxic simian. "We need to go. Now." He spoke. They run out of the lab through the back door, taking a shortcut to Shuggazoom.

12:56 A.M....

At the robot, Otto tries to fix the computer while the team thinks for clues of where Jess run off to. "Team, we need medical help now!" Jess voice caught their attention and sees a black toxic simian with a purple stripe fur tip tail by her side with his arm around her shoulder, panting heavily and weakly. "He lost some blood from some of his wounds." Jess started freaking out with tears in her eyes, looking at Gibson, "Please do something!" Sprx and Otto helped the toxic simian to medical bay while Nova and Antauri tries to calm down Jess. After she calm down, looking at the team worriedly then sighs, "I'm sorry I run off like that. I had to follow my inner demon instincts and it leaded me to this old abandon lab at some dead forest." "You went to Savage Lands?!"Nova speaks in shock. "Yes and I found this in the lab." She handed Chiro the old journal.

30 minutes later...

She watches the team turning the pages and reading the book till Gibson walk out of the medical bay with Toxin by his side covered in bandages. "Toxin!" She shouted his name happily, running to the black simian and tackles him to the ground. Toxin groan in pain, Jess got off of him quickly and apologized. She looks away blushing with her arms behind her back, "T-Toxin, I just wanted to say I-I-" "Hey, guys! I got the computer fixed! And we got a message!" Otto shouted. Everyone approached the computer and sees Dane face in anger on the screen. "I see you killed Mandarin and escaped with my girl!" He shouted in anger. "You're the one who kidnapped me!" Toxin yelled in anger. "Enough!" Jess shouted then looks up at the screen angry, "Dane, why didn't you tell me about this?" Dane looks away then back at his mate," Because I didn't want him get you first!" He pointed at Toxin, pissing him off. "We were having a conversation when we still in cages. Then at the end he told me he was going to tell you about his feelings and how much he loves you." Dane snarled, "I wanted you more than he does! I want you to be my mate forever. But to complete the demonic imprint, we have to transfer one of our bloods to each other's then mate."

Jess was in shock then turn around to look at Toxin, who was looking away, "Toxin? Is this true?" He sighed then walks to the female simian and kissed her on the lips. He part away then looks down at her, caressing her cheek with his metal talons, "Does that prove it?" She was blushing and smiling at the same time. Dane loud snarl caught their attention back to the screen, "Stay away from my mate!" He snarled with his fangs bared. "She is not your mate yet! If you want to claim someone as your mate, you have to complete the imprint! Which you did not!" Toxin snarled back. Dane growl turns into a roar, "Backoff! I tried everything! I tried waiting! Jess, you don't belong with that poisonous freak!" Toxin narrowed his eyes at him which he already lost his patient, "Well, you didn't tell her about what happened to her sister, Elizabeth." He grinned with his arms crossed. "What are you talking about? Dane, what happened to my little sister?" Jess asked. Dane looked away refusing to answer her question. "You killed her, Dane!" Toxin pointed his talon at him, "I tried to stop you, but I was too late." "I had no choice! Those stupid damn lab coats were testing us for fighting to see who strongest for breeding. They had to use her sister for bait and if I don't fight then they would kill me for their other experiments!" "How could you?!"Jess shouted in anger as tears swell up in her eyes. "Jess, I- " "I hate you! I hate you! I hate you!" She yelled in hatred and flinging paintbrush tail around painting blood everywhere. Toxin grabbed her tail with his and her wrist with his hands to stop her raging fit, "That's enough." He whispered in her ear, bringing her close to his chest.

She feels the warmth from his body then starts to calms down and waits for him to let go. He let go then looks up at Dane, "You should not have been keeping secrets, Dane. This what happened when you don't tell the truth." "Jess. Please. Give me one more chance." Dane begged. "I don't give chances to betrayers." She speaks in a stern tone. "Jess! I- " "We're finished." She hits the red button, turning off the computer screen. "Jess? Are you okay?" Nova asked worriedly as she saw Jess hit the keyboard with her fists. Tears swells from her eyes as she starts to cry, "Elizabeth." She spoke her sister name then Toxin pick her up in his arms, she cried on his chest feeling hurt like her heart just been ripped out from her chest. Toxin takes her to Nova room and lay her down on her hammock then lay by her side, licking her with his long black and green glowing striped tongue. They slowly went to sleep together in close embrace.

Morning...

Jess awakens with a stretch then notice Toxin is gone. She jumps down from the hammock and walks out of the room to the hallway. She sees him talking with Otto then hides behind the door entrance listening to their conversation. "Why did that monkey call you poisonous?" Otto asked. "Because not only I just looked poisonous, I am poisonous. My saliva is toxic acid, but only very dangerous when I'm angry. My fangs have deadly venom like 50 times deadlier of toxic snake venom. That why I'm named Toxin." Toxin replied. "Oh. You know, I kinda feel bad for Jess." Otto frowned. "Yeah, it's kinda hard on her. She hates it when someone she loves keeps big secrets and hurtful lies from her. She has someone before she met us hurts her heart so bad that she still hates that person." Toxin frowned and turns his back on him. "Who?" Otto asked. He looked back at him, "Her own mother."

Jess leans back on the doorway sliding down to the floor remembering her mother, who betrayed her and used her. She hears footsteps approaching her way and gets back up quickly. "Oh, you're awake." Toxin stands at the doorway, "Did you have some good sleep?" "Yeah, how are your wounds?" Jess asked. "It still hurts, but I'm fine as long I don't do any activity that will cause my wounds to open again." Toxin shrugs like it nothing. She smiles at the toxic monkey then grab his hand and pull him to the tubes to outside on the robot shoulder. They sit down under the robot head sitting close to each other for an hour. Toxin was leaning back on the robot neck as Jess rest her head on his purple furry chest twining a strand of fur with her metal finger. He put his arm around her smiling then starts licking her. She smiled and cuddles closer on his warm furry chest with like a lovable kitten purring, "I love you." She whispered. Toxin was surprised it the first time to hear those three words from her lips then smiles and kiss her forehead, "I love you too." He whispered back. He continues licking her till a scent caught his attention. He gets up to sniff the air then a growl escapes his throat, "We need to get back inside." Jess gets up to her feet and walk by his side worriedly, "What is going on?" She asked. He points at the building which is a few yards away. On top of it is a monkey shape silhouette standing on top of it. Jess recognized the silhouette red eyes, watching it narrows those eyes at Toxin. Then it looks at her with it sad face reaching it hand out for her. Jess looks away with an "Hmph!" then follows Toxin inside with his arm around her shoulders.

4:00 P.M. Training...

Toxin and the team watches Chiro fight Jess. Jess dodges his punches by backing up and moving her body sideways. Then grabs one of his fist and a grin appears on her face as the boy got a surprised look on his face. She flips him to the floor hard. "Ooh, that gotta hurt." Sprx said. "I'm quite impressed." Nova feels proud for her student. "Indeed, her moves are improving quite well." Gibson spoke. Chiro gets back up on his feet and sees Jess pretending to yawn to piss him off. The boy charged at the female simian till he sees a flash of her eyes caught his attention. She sends him a low kick through his legs causing the boy face plant on the hard metal floor. The whole team let out a painful "Ooooh." Chiro turn around on his back then a black and rainbow ghost claw was close to his neck with Jess standing on top of him. She smiled at him, "Game over." She helps the boy up to his feet and sees his nose is bleeding. "Chiro, your nose is bleeding." Jess looked at him worriedly. Chiro touch the blood and looked at it on his fingers, "Don't worry. I'm fine." He walks off to clean his nose up.

"Maybe I beat him up too hard." Jess spoke. "No. You did well." Toxin approached to her. "But I nearly broke his nose! I tried to be not too hard." She almost shouted then looks away. He put his knuckle under her chin and made her look up in his eyes, "You can't always be gentle to everyone. Don't let your guard down." He caresses her cheek with his thumb then kissed her on the lips. She returns the kiss and wraps her arms around his neck. Sprx gagged and Otto makes smooching sounds till Toxin snarls at them. They hold each in fear. "He shows no mercy, boys. I wouldn't mess with him if I were you, guys." Jess snickered then walks away to check on Chiro. "Easy for her to say." Sprx mumbled then squeaked in fear as he hears Toxin's growl again. Toxin stares them down then walks away.

He approached the medical bay till Jess and Chiro walks out. Chiro got cotton balls in his nose, "Hey, Toxin." "How is your nose?" He asked. "Still bleeding, but it will stop in a couple of minutes." The boy replied. "I need to talk with Jess privately." Toxin grab Jess hand and takes her back inside with the door shut behind them. "Toxin, What is going on?" She asked. "We need to leave." His words shock her. "What! No way." She refused. "Gibson gave me an x-ray and discovered an electronic GPS chip in my tail. I was shocked at first then I have to force him to take the chip out of my tail. Here it is." He takes small chip off the counter and handed to her then shows the bandages nearly at the tip of his tail and starts to unwrap it. Jess gasps in shocks when she looks at the twelve inch stitches on his tail. He wraps his tail back up then looks back at his mate, who collapsed on the floor on her knees, holding herself and shivering in fear.

Pictures of humans wearing black lab coats and dead dissected animals on counters covered in blood. Toxin kneels by his mate and wraps his arms around her then tries to calm her down knowing his mate worst fear. She holds him tight thinking "Should I leave? Or not?" After a while, Jess pulls away then walks out through the doorway. As Toxin tries to follow, she didn't look back at him "Don't follow me. Just...Let me think this through." Then went back to her room.

Toxin sat on Otto chair then put his hand over his face with a sigh. He felt a hand on his shoulder and looks up at the silver monkey. "Are you alright?" Antauri asked. "Yeah, I'm fine. It just I'm trying to protect Jess. I did try to protect her from Dane and his lies, but I failed. But I won't fail again." Toxin get up from the chair and sees Antauri smiling. A familiar loud scream caught their attention. "That sounds like Jess in trouble!" Otto panicked. Toxin runs to the tubes as the team follow him and rushes to Nova's room. He opens the locked door with strength like Nova's then gasp as his face turn to shock. Even the hyperforce is shocked. Everything in the room was tipped over, thrown and half destroyed, but their eyes is focus on the metal wall in blood with big letters, "SHE MINE" Toxin walks to the ripped up hammock with a little blood stains on it. He fell on his knees then let out a loud angry scream as his metal fists dented the metal floor, "I shouldn't have let her out of my sight. I vow myself to protect her. How could I let this happen?"

"It's not your fault." Chiro spoke. "Don't worry we'll find her." Sprx said till in a few seconds so fast Toxin grabbed his throat in anger. The red simian looks at the scary black eyes with green glowing slits of the toxic monster with his fangs bared till Antauri speaks in a stern tone, "Toxin. Let him go. Do not let your anger get to you." Those last words bring back the memories of the toxic simian, "Don't let your anger getcha. Or you just might end up hurting someone." Jess voice echoed in his mind. He let go of the red simian and apologized, "Sorry. I lost myself there." "Let go to the command together and talk things out for a while we search for Jess." Gibson spoke. Everyone nodded and follows Gibson to the command room.
