Chapter 8,

Malderon was the first one who acted, plowing through the enemies guarding the general; Gabriel followed closely behind, and jumping over Malderon to jump attack the general. The General did nothing, he did not move, he did not even flinch or prepare to defend himself. When Gabriel got at least a few feet from the general, he was stopped in his tracks by a magical barrier. The general knew from the start that their attack wasnt going to work, he had prepared for any attack that might have been coming. Gabriel through for a moment then said, "Malderon, I'll look for a knick in the shield, I might be able to get through." "Fine and when you do, I'll take him down." "Understood"

Gabriel disappeared in a quick instant, vanishing before the general's eyes, seeing this as somthing that might caus a threat to their plans, jumped off his horse and drew his sword, he was prepared to attack Malderon. Malderon sung at the general, but it invevitably stopped when it hit the magic barrier. Gabriel appeared from behind and attempted to stab the general in the back to break the barrier, it also failed. The general swung his sword behind him giving Gabriel a deep scratch across the chest, Gabriel backed off, but his chest hurt from the wound and he couldnt back away fast enough, the general had turned around and raised his sword to stab Gabriel through the heart. Gabriel stared up at the general, blood from the wound poured out like a river, his vision started to fade, and out of the corner of his eye, he saw a hammer, glowing blue from magic swing and hit the the barrier shattering it then hitting the skull of the general like a baseball sending it flying. At that point, Gabriel blacked out, Malderon was hovering over him as he awoke, he found he was laying on his back looking up at a celing, "Are you allright?" "I feel fine" Gabriel got up to look around, he was back in the cellar from before. Godfrey was washing his hands of blood that most likely came from Gabriel's wound. "Now that you've awakened, you both can go see Graymane, he says he has somthing for you to do." Malderon turned back to Godfrey, "Understood" He turned back to Gabriel, "Come on, lets go" Gabriel got up off the table and the both of them walked back to the camp.

Malderon and Gabriel made it to the tavern where Graymane and Prince Graymane were rumored to be, the inside of the tavern was some what busy, a few customers here and there. Graymane and Prince Graymane were sipping a goblet of rum at one of the tables, enjoying a nice peacfull day. "Lord Graymane, I heard that you had need of me." King Graymane finished a sip of his rum before he spoke, "Ah, Malderon, and who is this?" "I am Gabriel Longclaw, I was one of your soldiers" "Well, excellent, the more soldiers i have at my disposal the better, now on with the mission i have for you two..", Prince Graymane interupted him, "Father, shall I tell them what it is?" "Very well then" "well the fact of the matter it, we have to get to a certain town, the town we want to get to is infested with giant spiders." "Giant spiders?" Malderon and Gabriel look confused at this. "Yes well, we have no idea where the spiders came from or why they are so big, but thats not the real problem, the town supposedly has banshees." "Now i get it, you want us to escort you there and take care of any threat we find, I Understand." Gabriel was still confused, "But I dont get it? Whats so important about this town that you have to get to?" "This town is guarding a secret, it is guarding the only thing that can give you two your humanity back, permanently."
