"Narvex, you may enter" spoke Nerax. "You called for me father" exclaimed Narvex. "I have a task for you" spoke Nerax. "To what do I owe the pleasure father?" asked Narvex "I thought Therissos was the one you sent out on tasks." "Your brother has failed me time and time again" replied Nerax "Besides you have been specially trained for this kind of task. I want you to track down the boy and kill him and anyone who helps him" spoke Nerax. "Yes father. I shall leave at once and I won't return until I have his carcass as proof of my success" replied Narvex.

It was mid-morning when they crossed over the coastline. Orphius and Sephros flew up front and Alartra was flying just behind them. Orphius was listening to Sephros tell stories about when he was younger. Alartra was staring at Orphius and studying his body. First she looked at his legs and how muscular they were. Next she looked at the tail blade which was shaped like a spear head. Then she noticed sharp spikes that lead from the centre of his head to his spear head shaped tail blade also she noted the two large horns on either side of his head. Finally she noted the ruby red colour of his scales, the flame orange colour of his wing membranes, the blood red colour of his tail blade and spikes, and the amber colour of his chest plates and horns.

"We are almost at the island" exclaimed Sephros. Orphius started to look like he was struggling to stay airborne. "Are you ok Orphius" asked Sephros. "Yeah I'm fine" replied Orphius "but my wing...hu..." and then he fell towards the ground at an immense speed. "Orphius!!!" screamed Alartra, as she sped towards him. 'His wing was injured worse than I thought' thought Sephros as he flew as fast as he could towards Orphius. To Orphius everything started to move slowly until he heard a loud crack and everything went black. When Orphius opened his eyes he saw nothing but a black void.

"Where am I?" whispered Orphius as he looked around the unfamiliar black void. "Is anyone there?" asked Orphius as a cold shiver ran up his spine. "You are weak" replied a voice filled with hatred. "Who are you?" asked Orphius a little frightened. "You can't remember my voice, how pitiful. If I must remind you of whom I am then you will know me as Therissos, the wyvern that killed your mother" chuckled the voice. "You, I will make you pay for the death of my mother" growled Orphius, his voice laced with hatred. "Is that so and how do you suppose you will save the one that you love deep down inside you" taunted the voice of Therissos. "You leave her out of this, she has done nothing to deserve this, neither of us have done anything to deserve this" replied Orphius "and the next time we meet the last thing you will see is my tail blade between your eyes." "No the next time we meet you will die" exclaimed the voice of Therissos "and it will be slow and pa..." "Enough get out of my head" roared Orphius.

All of a sudden he heard a faint voice calling his name. "Orphius...Orphius wake up...please, come on Orphius...please...get up...Orphius...please" said the voice getting louder "If you can hear me,...I love...". "Alartra we need to take him to the cave you told me about" interrupted another voice "I'll be able to work on his injures better in the cave." "Ok Sephros" spoke Alartra "this way quickly." Then Orphius heard nothing.

"Alartra, how much further to the cave" asked Sephros. "We are almost ... there" replied Alartra. "Good can you go get me some leaves some branches and some leaves of the sap trees that grow on this island" asked Sephros. "Ok Sephros" replied Alartra, as she ran off to get the leaves and branches, 'Please just hang in there Orphius'. 'I've got the leaves, branches and the leaves of a sap tree I better get back to Sephros' thought Alartra 'Just a little longer Orphius'. "Alartra your back, quickly lay all the leaves down there" said Sephros. Alartra quickly laid the leaves on the ground and Sephros lay the severely injured Orphius down on the leaves. "Ok Alartra hand me the branches and the sap tree leaves" exclaimed Sephros. Alartra gave Sephros the branches then the sap tree leaves. "Alartra it's late I have this under control now you should get some rest" exclaimed Sephros. "I'll try to" replied Alartra "night Sephros". "Night Alartra and don't worry about Orphius he'll be ok" exclaimed Sephros. With that said, Alartra laid down as close to Orphius as possible and soon went to sleep.
