Somewhere far to the north.

"Therissos, my son, you have returned sooner than expected. Why? I hope you completed the task I sent you out to do" asked the giant Wyvern. "Nerax, my father, there were complications" answered Therissos with a nervous look present on his face. "Complications! Like what" asked Nerax, a tone of anger present in his voice. "The parents they were to powerful. I came within inches of the child but his mother stopped me. I had no option but to retreat. As it is I lost two troops to his father" replied Therissos even more nervous than before. "You ran!!! The task was simple kill the child and you just ran!!! This is the third time you've failed me Therissos, I wonder if you are still worthy to lead us once I die" roared Nerax. "Father please give me one more chance I promise I won't fail you again" pleaded Therissos. "Very well I will give you one more chance, but fail me again and you may as well not return" replied Nerax. "Now leave my sights at once, I will call for you when I'm ready" spoke Nerax. "Yes, my father" replied Therissos.

Orphius awoke the next morning and looked around the small clearing. He saw that Alartra was already awake. "Good morning Alartra" said Orphius. "Finally your awake" exclaimed Alartra "come on we need to get going, if we leave now we should make it to the island by night fall." "Fine than let's go" said Orphius, and with that said the two dragons took flight.

By mid-day they had almost reached the coast when all of a sudden a large ball of fire came flying up between Alartra and Orphius. Orphius managed to doge the ball of fire, but Alartra was struck on the wing by the ball of fire. She roared in pain as she began to fall out of the sky. "Alartra!" Orphius exclaimed as he flew after her. Then a second ball of fire hit his wing and he too began to fall out of the sky. "Orphius!" screamed Alartra, in a voice of pain. Less then a minute after they were hit, they both impacted with the ground and they fainted.

When they finally came to they found themselves inside a cave. "Where are we" asked Orphius, in a faint voice. "I don't know" answered Alartra, in a weak voice. Soon they heard the sound of flapping wings as an emerald green dragon flew into the cave and landed. The dragon looked like he was a lot older than either Orphius or Alartra and he was carrying a medium sized sheep in his mouth. He walked over to Orphius and Alartra and laid the sheep down next to them. "Finally your both awake, you've both been out for six hours" exclaimed the emerald green dragon. "Who are you" asked Orphius. "Oh... where are my manners, my name is Sephros" replied the dragon. "It's nice to meet you Sephros. My name is Orphius and this is Alartra" spoke Orphius. "What happened to us" asked Alartra. "You were attacked by a hydra" replied Sephros "but enough questions you two should eat you both need to regain your strength."

With that said Orphius and Alartra began to rip apart the sheep and eat it. An hour had passed and all that was left of the sheep was its bones. "Both of you should rest here tonight so that your injures will have some time to heal" exclaimed Sephros. "I don't know. Alartra what do you think" asked Orphius. "Well what other option do we have? We shouldn't fly during the night and besides my wing is still sore" replied Alartra. "Ok, we will stay here tonight" said Orphius. "Ok then, I'll stay up tonight to make sure you two are safe. That hydra won't be happy about me beating him up" exclaimed Sephros. "It's cold in here" spoke Orphius. "Yeah it is cold in here" agreed Alartra. "I'm sorry Orphius and Alartra, I usually have a fire, but with a hydra out there the smoke from a fire would attract it here" replied Sephros. "Ok" said Orphius.

Alartra knowing how to help herself and Orphius get warmer decided to walk over and lay down next to Orphius. Upon feeling the body warmth of each other they curled up together and fell asleep.

The next morning Orphius awoke just before sunrise. He slowly and carefully got up trying not to wake Alartra from her slumber. He walked towards the entrance of the cave and sat down next to Sephros. "I forgot to ask you last night, but what brings you two to the borders of the dragon lands" asked Sephros. "It's becoming dangerous further inland. Wyverns attacked, and killed Alartra's parents and they attacked my parents, and killed my mother. So when Alartra and I meet we decided that it wasn't safe to stay within dragon territory anymore, so we were flying to an island off the coast of the dragon lands" answered Orphius. "So it has been happening further inland too" Sephros whispered to himself. "Well you two should be safe there" spoke Sephros.

"What were you two just talking about" asked Alartra, standing behind Orphius. "Good morning Alartra" exclaimed Orphius. "Orphius was just telling me about where you two are going" spoke Sephros "but can either of you kill a wyvern" asked Sephros. "No" answered Orphius and Alartra at the same time. "Can you teach me and Alartra to be able to kill wyvern" asked Orphius. "I'd also like to learn how to kill wyvern" concurred Alartra. "I don't know" spoke Sephros. "Please!!!" asked Orphius and Alartra at the same time. "Ok then I'll teach you both" answered Sephros "but we should leave for the island now." "Sure, let's get going Orphius" spoke Alartra "Oh and good morning Orphius". "Fine, let's go" agreed Orphius and with that the three dragons took flight.
