As the older vixen looked at me, I felt this strange vibe hit me. "You, there come closer." Renka's mother asked. So I did as she requested of me and stepped closer to the floating bowl. "Yes, Ma'am." I replied. "Hmm? not a bad soul, good strong heart and kind to a fault. He's a good male, Renka definitely husband material in my book." She stated looking over at her daughter.

"Again, mother that's part of the reason why I called you. You see he will be my future husband. He won my hand in a duel against a five tailed kitsune. So by our laws he has the right to marry me." Renka informed. Her mother sat back a little and pondered before she spoke. "Let me get this right this mortal beat a five-tails? That can be even possible he's a mortal for one and not a kitsune for another." She pointed out firmly.

"Yes, mother he did, it was a good fight, I've never seen anything like it before. He took down Stark with almost no effort at all and didn't use magic either." She pointed out. Her mother was a little shocked, yet I could see her anger brewing. "Ma'am, if I may interrupt perhaps it would be best for you to come here in person. This way you can hear the whole story from start to finish." I suggested.

"Very, well I see no reason not to trust your word. I shall be there momentarily. Do have something sweet and some hot tea ready." She replied as the bowl returned to the table. With that I set out to get things finished for Renka's mother arrival. Sadly as we each left the small hut a large energy signal filled the air. Follow by an approaching shadow as we looked to the right sure enough, Renka's mother arrived.

She was a few inches taller than, Renka and her fur was a couple of shades darker. Other than that the two women could be mistaken for twins at some point in their lives. Bowing politely to her given her rank as a Kyubi and clan leader. "Rise, all of you come let us talk inside. Male, would you mind remaining outside for a bit, I'd like to speak to, Renka and the other females." She said looking at me.

"Yes, of course." I said as the walked inside the dining hall. While they talked I went to check on our other guest. When I got there he was making sounds of waking up. So I sat nearby and watched him carefully making sure he wasn't in any pain. After a good ten minutes he rolled over, got comfy and kept sleeping.

Wondering what was going on in the dining hall my mind began questioning itself. Thinking about each series of events that had led up to this very point. After a while I decided to meditate to pass the time faster until I was summoned. As my mind and body relaxed traveling amongst the spirits. I was interrupted by a presence silently walking towards me and trying not to alert me.

The second I recognized who it was I was already standing and ready. "Come, human my mother is ready to hear your side of things." Renka said. Following a few paces behind, Renka we entered the dining hall and sat down. Her mother took her time looking me over before she decided on speaking. "Show me both of your clan marks, human." Renka's Mother stated calmly.

Raising my the backside of my right hand to her, she looked carefully at it. Acknowledging the mark was the binding seal, Kyuri had bestowed upon me. With my other mark I was very hesitant on showing it to her, unsure of her reaction. "You have nothing to fear human I'm merely curious and besides you wanted answers. Which I'm willing to give once I see both clan marks you have." She replied trying to reassure me.

Slowly I lifted the left sleeve on my robe revealing the clan mark Ashandria had given me. Renka's mother sat back in her seat in horror as she looked upon my other clan mark. "W...W...Who gave you that mark?" She asked shakingly. "My adoptive mother and leader of the Leaf Claw Clan, Ashandria." I informed. "WHAT?!, THAT CANNOT BE!" She screamed instantly jumping to her feet.

"Well, despite what you think I speak the truth." I replied calmly not making eye contact. "That mark is a fake you are not the offspring nor adopted offspring of, Ashandria. I knew her she would never under any circumstances take a child to raise as her own." She remarked angrily. Rushing to my side and grabbing my upper arm where my mark was. Something none of us would ever be able to comprehend a strong gust of wind burst into the room.

The air kicked up a large amount of dust and the light in the room darkened. As the air rushed around the room it soon began to shroud me in a small twister of air and dust. Everyone had to step back and shield them selves from the energy that it gave off. In one large burst of air everything went still and all the candles went out. At that point something took control over my mind and body.

When everyone was able to open their eyes once again a glowing figure stood before them. Exactly where I had been sitting the entire time Renka, her mom, Kyuri and, Arreincia. Couldn't believe their own eyes as to whom was now standing proudly in the room. No one spoke, no one moved or even breathed until the ghostly figure did. The Spirit raised her hand angrily at Renka's mother before it spoke.

"Lilith, you disappoint me old friend, you of all kyubi should know better. What you say about me was never entirely true, I did want a child of my own. But, one that would used the gifts and teachings I bestowed upon them wisely. This young boy I took into my home was worthy, when no one else was. AND WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO MAKE ASSUMPTIONS ABOUT ME, OLD FRIEND." Ashandria spoke shouting furiously at the end.

Everyone in the room flinched heavily away from the angry spirit standing there. "ANSWER ME THIS WOULD YOU HAVE TAUGHT RENKA OR ANY OF YOUR CHILDREN, YOUR SKILLS AND POWERS? KNOWING THEY WOULD HAVE USED THEM FOR PERSONAL GAIN OR FOR THEIR OWN AMUSEMENT?" Ashandria barked firmly pointing at Lilith again. "No." She replied softly adverting her gaze from my mother's ghostly glowing eyes.

"I ASK AGAIN WHAT GIVES YOU THE RIGHT TO TAKE WHAT HONOR HE EARNED, AWAY?" Ashandria questioned as her voice echoed in the room. The room fell silent as my adoptive mother glared at every single person present. With that my mother vanished in the very same manner she had entered. The candles in the room re-lit and I stood there on shaking knees.

A second later I collapsed onto the floor and the glowing from my mother's clan mark stopped. The last thing I remember was staring up at the dining hall ceiling before my vision went black. As I laid in the room they brought me to, my mother paid me one final visit. This time in my dreams we stood there on a spiritual plane hugging each other tight. "I'm sorry my son for what I had to do. Never forget you are MY SON and I will always love you." She whispered into my ear.

With a final kiss to my forehead her body began to break apart into petals. From a flowering cherry tree, they quickly swirled around me then faded away. "Goodbye, to you as well mother, I'll do my best to make you proud." I whispered back looking up to the glowing sky. A few short peaceful hours later, I awoke from my slumber. Only to find my room empty all except for one person, Renka's mother.

"Good, you're awake your body went cold and pale for an hour. It would seem you made a trip to the spirit realm. Meanwhile it stands to reason that, Ashandria picked you for a reason. As her friend I must stand by her judgment and the choice she made. Besides she nearly tore my head off when I tried to remove her clan mark from your arm." Lilith informed as I sat up in bed. "Sounds, like something she'd do." I smiled.

"Ah, so you seen her temper on the lose, yourself." She replied. "More times than I myself care to count. Though I'll admit everything she did was out of love." I stated. "You must have made quite the impression on her, she's not one to teach just anyone." She pointed out. "Actually, she found me when I was just a baby. She raised me as her own flesh and blood." I informed as those memories came back to me.

"I see now it all makes sense it's no wonder why she vanished all those years ago. It was because you had come into her life or something else that even she hadn't told you." She said trying to sort the puzzle out. "There were many reasons why she disappeared all those decades ago. Sadly she didn't tell me all of them but, enough to know. The main reason why she left was the fact she couldn't bare children. No, male would desire a female that couldn't bare his offspring." I pointed out.

"How can that be she was the prime of health?" She asked stunned. "If I had to venture a guess was she horribly injured during the Valurean War millennia ago. That might have been the reason why she was no longer able to bare children. At least that's the theory I've come to, as we spent time together." I informed. "Yes, that would seem to make the most sense to me as well." She replied.

Before our conversation could continue, Renka burst into the room. "What is it daughter?" Lilith asked jumping to her feet. "Mother, Orion come quick, Kyuri and Arreincia are missing. Stark, is too I've got a bad feeling he kidnapped them and is on the run." Renka remarked sounding frantic. Swiftly rising to me feet I rushed out to where, he was residing and than the dining hall.

There were signs of a massive struggle then there was this strange circle burned into the ground. "Renka, can you track the energy that was left here?" I asked as she stood at my side. "Yeah, I should be able to without a problem." She said kneeling down. "Allow, me to assist you daughter." Her mom said kneeling down beside her. "Any, luck?" I wondered after a few minutes. "Yes, Stark has teleported to a abandoned village several days from here and he's waiting for you." Lilith informed.
