Ok first off these stories are my intellectual property, do not copy them or the constrictor's within without my express permission. This chapter was written as a short story a few years ago and I decided to pull it out and expand on the plot. This is the first story I have posted so please votes are good comments are encouraged, feedback will let me know weather I should continue writing the story or not.

A huge ball of blue-silver lightning shot across the field. I watched as it created a void of sound, drawing in more energy as it traveled. Striking the post at the far end of the field the ball ripped the wood into splinters, which were sent flying in every direction. Cyin threw herself to the ground in an effort to avoid the shards.

"What in the spirits name was that?" Asked Cyin after the sawdust had settled.

"I don't know, you said to do something different, so I did."

Cyin and I had been training for weeks; I had learned most of the basics rather quickly. I found I could easily reproduce anything Cyin showed me. All I had to do was see it done once. I didn't always do it the same way she did, but the result was always the same.

"Don't look so cocky, that was good, but uncontrolled. What would you had done if I hadn't have ducked?"

"Look around yourself, I put up a wall between you and the blast. Not a single shard got within two feet of you."

Stopping to look Cyin's expression quickly changed. The

scolding look draining from her face.

"You knew it would do that?"

"Well kind of, I could have made it smaller, but I wanted to know how big I could make it so I just let loose. When I realized that it might hurt you I put up the wall."

This was one of many new exercises we had started doing. Cyin always asked me to come up with a new attack or defense. Sometimes I would surprise her by just doing something strange.

For example, shortly after I blew up the post we started our hand-to-hand combat lesson, Cyin told me to find a way to set my opponent off guard. I made her clothes disappear. This stopped her for a second, of course she was used to being without clothes so she quickly recovered and kept going. Then I made my clothes disappear. This worked much better. She was very unprepared and I managed to land a good hip throw, which sent her sprawling on the ground. Of course she got me with a leg sweep that sent me to the ground ass first. The ground is a lot harder without clothes on. By the time I could react she had me pined. I couldn't move, not that I would have wanted to. Her soft silky body that close to mine was quite a rush. The feel of her fur rubbing against my exposed skin was... Well let's just say I opted to make my pants reappear in a hurry. Luckily Cyin did not see me until after I had put my pants back on.

After recovering our clothes Cyin sat down staring up at the sky. She had been in a very odd mood all day. "What's wrong? Have I done something to upset you?" Even as I asked this I knew it wasn't me. But I had to find out what was bothering her.

"No its not you. Its well..." She trailed off, I knew she wanted to talk about it, but she was holding back.

"Cyin tell me. I can't help if you don't at least talk to me." During training Cyin realized I was empathic. That means I can sense other peoples emotions. The better I know the person the easier it is for me to tell what they are feeling. With Cyin's help my empathy was getting so strong I could usually guess what someone is thinking. But today Cyin's emotions were in an uproar.

"Look Kaid, the counsel is being disbanded. The brotherhood is going into hiding. There have been attacks on anyone who has any interaction with us. Three of the humans we have been training have come up missing. Someone is trying to stop the brotherhood from expanding into the human realm."

This was not the first time Cyin had spoken of this. She mentioned the disappearances earlier in the week, but at the time she said not to worry. Now it looked more like she was the one worrying.

"Who has disappeared? Do you think the twisted got to them?"

At first I didn't think Cyin had even heard me. She was just staring at the sky. I knew she didn't like to talk about the twisted. They were the creatures of her realm that had succumbed to hate and revenge. I knew it bothered her to think about them. But I had to know what was bothering her. Just as I was about to repeat myself she began to talk. I could tell she was crying by the sound of her voice.

"Kaid, The council decided that I am to stop instructing you. They believe it is too dangerous for both of us if I keep coming here. There is an element of opposition here that we did not expect. It seems that there is a group of humans who are still trained in magic. They act to keep the boundary between our worlds strong. Once they realized we were trying to bring the worlds back together they started fighting against us."

Cyin had explained to me that the brotherhood was trying to bring down the boundary. I knew it would take many years before this could be done, but it was the right thing to do. Cyin explained that when the boundary was made reality was split. The mages of old did not realize that this split would cut the other world off from the life giving energies of the earth, only a limited amount of these energies where transferred when the split first happened. Without a constant flow of this energy the other land started to wither and turn to lifeless desert. If the boundary didn't come down within the next three generations the other world would no longer be able to support any type of life.

"You're telling me you are going to give up because someone is trying to stop you. That doesn't make sense, you can't. Everyone in the Other World will die... What if the twisted find a way to cross the boundary into the human world? I'm not ready to deal with this. I need you!"

I was shouting, and I was crying. I didn't even realize at first exactly what I had said. I just knew I didn't want her to leave. When I looked at her she was staring at me.

"You don't need me. You have already surpassed me in every way. You learned in the first few weeks everything it took me years to learn. Now you have started doing things some of the most powerful among us would love to learn. You have a natural gift for magic. It comes to you as easy as breathing, you don't need me anymore."

I could hardly believe what she was saying. I didn't need her? It was true that magic came easy to me. It just sort of clicked, if I thought about something I wanted to do, I could usually find a way to make it happen. Cyin told me this was unusual but not unheard of. She explained that some are born with the ability to create art of untold beauty, some are born to create music that can touch the very soul, some are born to be mages.

I knew that training wasn't why I needed her. It was because I.... Well what I mean to say is I wanted her to stay because...

"Cyin I need YOU! Not what you can teach me... I don't want you to leave; I will be lost without you. You are the only one who understands me. I mean... I'm rambling aren't I?"

I couldn't believe I had just blurted out everything I was thinking. I almost told her... But it was insane.

"Kaid I don't want to leave either, I have feelings that I don't quite know how to say... It's just that you always know exactly what to say and do. You know me better then anyone. I know it may sound strange to you, you being a human and me a Kilmath. Kaid I love you. There I said it." She sounded almost relieved.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Cyin had just said exactly what I felt. I didn't think she thought of me that way.

"Look I know you probably don't feel the same, but I wanted you to know..." Cyin started.

"Cyin I love you too, it is crazy, but I do. The thought of not seeing you again is unbearable. Don't go anywhere. Stay here with me. I need you, and this world needs you. Screw the brotherhood, if they want to give up that's fine. I plan on fighting! . With your help I know we can find a way to bring the worlds together."

"I want to stay, but every time I come here I tell the whole world where this place is. We figured out that the only way the students could have been tracked down was by looking for the disturbance caused every time we crossed the boundary. I am surprised we have not seen anyone here."

As she said this a feeling that had been nagging at me all day finally came to the surface. I had been ignoring the feeling of being watched since I got to the clearing that morning. Now that Cyin mentioned it, the feeling became foremost in my mind.

"There is someone here!" I said

Just as I voiced this realization five men came out of the wood line just to our left. "Very good Mr. Kintell. We have been watching your display today. Very impressive. Too bad we will have to kill you, you could have made a fine addition to our ranks had we found you first."

I did not like his tone of voice, and I definitely did not like the part about them killing me.

"Ok whoever you are, you want to kill me? You are welcome to try." As I said this I created a blast of hard air that I directed at the man and his companions. Three of whom were knocked over.

"You idiots, you should have known to keep your guard up. Now take care of this punk, I have some questions for that creature."

I knew he meant Cyin; and I knew I wasn't going to let him touch her. But first I had to deal with the two men coming my way. As I started to move I realized right away I was dealing with mages. It became obvious when they started throwing balls of white-hot energy at me.

Cyin had thought me to create a bubble of hard energy around myself to shield against attacks. The problem with that was you had to stand still, or you would walk out of the bubble. This meant you had to stand and face your opponents face to face. That didn't seem like a good idea. I had no idea what these two men could do, and I wasn't about to stand still and let them show me. Instead I envisioned a suit of armor around my body. Hard and shiny; able to take the worst of physical blows. Yet also able to reflect energy blasts. I did this once to Cyin, she almost killed me when her own energy ball came bouncing back to hit her in the arm burning off most of the fur.

The two men paused for a moment to stair at me. "What's wrong? Change your minds?" I asked

As one the two men planted their feet and began to create a massive ball of red energy. But instead of throwing it at me all at once they sent thousands of small shards of it hurtling toward me. I dodged a little of it. Most of it bounced harmlessly off of my 'armor', but some made it through. Where it hit, my skin felt as if it were on fire. The muscle in the area went limp. Reeling from this shock I almost passed out.

As I started to pass out, I heard Cyin scream. I could feel the pain she was in as if it were my own. Someone was torturing her. That's when I felt it. A slow clam settled over me. Energy seemed to well up in the core of my being. I slapped my hands together, and as I pulled them apart blue-silver lightning filled the space between them. I was in complete control, yet I was in the middle of an uncontrollable storm.

I let the ball of lighting fly towards my opponents. I watched as the blue-silver lightning surrounded the two men. They both started to scream, an unearthly sound that made my blood run cold. I watched as the flesh pealed away from bone, and bone became like pudding before the two men finally collapsed in a heap of unidentifiable flesh. I did not take the time to think about what I had just done. All I wanted was to find Cyin.

She was not in the clearing when I got there. I had not realized how far into the woods the men had chased me. Looking around I could not see her. After a few seconds of looking with my other senses, I found her. She was in the woods in the opposite direction from where I had been chased. I ran as fast as I could, when I got there I found was her on the ground, a quick look around told me that the other mages where no longer nearby. .

Cyin was lying on the ground curled up in the fetal position. Her fur was matted with blood. I ran up and took her in my arms.

"Cyin what did they do to you?" She did not answer.

"Cyin talk to me..." She opened her eyes then and looked directly at me. I could feel the pain she was in, and I knew she was hurt bad.

"Kaid they made me tell them where the breach is. They are trying to seal it." Cyin breathed, barely able to talk.

"Hold on a little while. I will be back. Don't die on me." She gave me a weak smile. It took all my willpower to pull away from her.

As I ran through the woods I realized I didn't even know where exactly the breach was. This question was answered for me by a flash of green light just up the hill and to my right. As I approached the place where I had seen the flash, I found the three men who had chased Cyin. They were surrounding a glowing hole in the air. They were all holding their hands out toward the hole; the man who had spoken to me earlier was chanting something. As he continued to chant the hole started to get smaller and smaller.

"Stop that right now!" I demanded. The three men didn't even look at me they just keep concentrating on the hole.

"OK IGNORE THIS!" I yelled as I drew a great disk of red fire in the air and sent it at them. It sliced through everything it touched, making short work of the small trees and shrubs between the men and I. As one, the three men turned their heads. The blade struck the two closest men cutting them in half. The third man was a bit quicker and ducked just as the blade passed through the air where he used to be.

"How did you do that?" Asked the third man as he stood up. "No one should have been able to penetrate our circle." He looked angry, and there was something more, fear?

I barely saw the man through the red haze that clouded my vision. This was the man who had hurt Cyin, the man who had sent others to kill me. All I wanted was to take out my anger on him. I felt heat travel up my back, down across my arms and into my fingers. I knew exactly what to do. I razed both of my arms to chest level, pointed my hands palm out in the direction of the man. He froze as if he could tell what I was about to do.

"No you can't. Your just some punk kid, there is no way you can draw that much power." Even as he said it the look on his face said he knew differently.

Everything seemed to happen very slowly, the heat in my fingers grew. It expanded as it left my hands creating a massive ball of blue-silver fire. It was almost beautiful as it rolled in mid air inches away from my hands. I didn't feel any heat, yet I could see the plants wither and spark into flame around it. The man turned to run, but it was too late. He could never run far enough, or fast enough to escape this fire. This was true wizards fire, drawn from the very essence of my being, fed by my anger, directed by my will. As I released the ball it took on a life of its own. It picked up speed as it raced toward my fleeing opponent. The whistling of the air around it sounded like a scream of rage.

Just as the man took a second to glance over his shoulder the ball descend upon him.

I watched as the man withered in agony. He was surrounded in the flame, and yet he didn't seem to be burning. His mouth opened as if to scream but no sound came out, instead the flame pored down his throat. As the flame grew to encompass his entire body there was a brilliant flash. I watched as his body was consumed. As the fire died, all that was left was a fine black dust on the ground where the man had been standing.

I turned to go back to where I had left Cyin in the clearing. Before I could get more then a few feet I saw a figure leaning on a tree just ahead of me.

"I...." Cyin started then trailed off as she fell to her knees beside the tree.

I ran to her side. Taking her left arm and draping it over my

shoulder I scooped up her legs in my right arm and started to carry her back towards the clearing. "What are you doing here? Are you crazy? You could have killed yourself! You have reopened half of your wounds, and you have already lost a lot of blood." I scolded.

"I thought you might need help, but I guess I was wrong. That was impossible." She said almost in a whisper. I could tell the pain and loss of blood was dragging at her.

"What was impossible?" I asked in an attempt to keep her talking so she would not pass out.

"You just killed five men, five very powerful men with little more then a few cuts and burn marks to show for it. I could not even stand up to one of them."

"I had surprise on my side. They didn't have time to fight back." I had to keep her talking, At least until I could get back to the clearing, and get the first aid kit out of my car.

"No its not that, you threw wizards fire, true wizards fire. I

have only heard stories about it. Many claim they can do that. Of course they can't; no one can. Except you..." She faded off at the end; I knew she had passed out. I just hoped she could hold on until I could get help.

I had to stop then, 'where am I going to find help for her?' I asked out loud. I didn't know whom I expected to answer, when no answer came I started walking, this time straight to my car.

North County Veterinarians clinic. I read the sign as I pulled in. This was the most remote clinic I knew of. It is in the middle of a wild life reserve, a friend of mine did some volunteer time here once in a while. I just hoped he was here today. And that there was a doctor that could help.

"Hello sir, how may I help you?" Asked the desk attendant.

"Is Jake in today?" I asked.

"Yes, he came in a few hours ago, I think he is in the back. Go ahead through that door. You should find him in the kennel room." I didn't even hear what she said as I walked through the door.

"JAKE? JAKE? YOU BACK HERE?" I yelled to impatient to look for him. I could here footsteps coming my way from around the corner. "JAKE?" I shouted one last time.

"YA, Quit yelling!" Jake said as he rounded the corner. "Kaid? What are you doing out here?"

"Jake... You know that girl I was telling you about?" I wasn't exactly sure how to say this.

"Ya? What about her?" Jake asked

"Well she and I were out and... ok here's the deal. She isn't normal. A mater of fact she isn't human. And she's hurt."

Jake just looked at me for a moment. "Dude, don't tell me you have been molesting animals, and now that you have hurt one you want me to help?" I could here the disgust in his voice.

"No it's not like that. She is a person, but just not... O never mind, come out to the car. Hurry!" I demanded as I pulled him by the shirt.

"Kaid this is crazy. What do you mean it's a person? I don't..." Jake trailed off. We were beside my car and we could both clearly see Cyin lying in the back seat.

"Kaid what? Who? This can't be?" I could tell Jake's mind was on overload, I had forgotten what Cyin told me about sleepers. I knew I had to do something to snap him out of it or he would just zone out and forget any of this ever happened. So I punched him in the face.

"What the hell was that for?" He asked as he rubbed his jaw.

"I had to break you out of your stupor. I don't have time right now. She is injured bad, and she has lost a lot of blood."

Jake just looked at me.

"OK Kaid, we'll take her in the back. I'll get the doc. But I don't think he will believe any of this."

"What's not to believe, here she is?" I just didn't get his problem. How could he have trouble believing in something he was looking at?

As I picked Cyin up I noticed she was extremely warm. I carried her in the back door to the examination room. The smell of animals and antiseptic was everywhere.

"So what's all this about an emergency patient? I don't have time for games Jacob..." The doctor stopped talking the moment he entered the room. I watched as he slowly looked over the table.

"My god, I never thought I would see one in real life. I have heard stories from the time I was a child, but this..." Now it was my turn to stair blankly.

"You mean to tell me you know about her?" I asked almost afraid of his answer. "Does that mean you can help?"

"Yes, I have heard stories about her kind, and I will do my best. Mind you I don't know if she has the same biology as us." That was good enough for me. I just stood back and let the doctor get to work.

He examined her for about twenty minuets. Making a noise here, a wince there. He made Jake get a basin of hot water to which he added a clear liquid. I watched as he took a cloth and began gently cleaning the wounds. I winced every time he reopened a gash and had to apply a bandage to stop the bleeding.

"Doc she is burning up? Should we give her something?" Jake asked as he dipped the sponge into the bloody water.

"I wouldn't know what. Anything I give her might do more harm then good. Plus she has lost a lot of blood. I need to do tests."

He was almost talking to himself. "Doc, give her aspirin. I know that's ok, she has taken it before." I was taking a big risk by saying this.

"What do you mean she has taken it before? Are you telling me you have had prolonged interaction with this creature?" I didn't like the way the doctor asked that question. It set the hairs on the back of my neck on end.

"Well yes, why?" The doctor just looked at me. Then he went to a cabinet and pulled out a bottle of clear fluid and a syringe.

"What is that?" I asked suddenly feeling very nervous.

"It is a liquid form of aspirin. It will work faster." He answered. But something was still bothering me. That's when Jake spoke up.

"Doc, you must have grabbed the wrong bottle. That's for making the animals sleep during operations." The doctor just scowled at him and then swung around to face me.

"So you're the one causing trouble here? What happened to the elimination party that was sent for you?" He asked as he approached me. I stood up, but I had nowhere to go. The doctor stood between the door and me.

"Those five shit for brains. What happened to them? I happened to them! They're all dead. Now what are you planning on doing about it?" I asked

The doctor stopped where he was "You lie, a little punk like you could never take on five trained assassins." This was getting weird. I was afraid I was going to have to hurt this man too, until he suddenly grunted and fell to the ground. Behind him I saw Jake with a syringe in is hand.

"He will be asleep for a while. What is going on Kaid?"

"I don't have time to explain it. Cyin needs help now. Can you give her the medicine?"

"Well yes that I can do, but I don't know about the blood. I was never trained to use the blood lab. I couldn't tell you if you I could donate blood to my mother, let alone find out what type of blood I need for her." Jake seemed to be taking this all well considering all that had happened in the last few minuets.

"Well can you give her some of my blood?" I asked not sure what else to do.

"I could but if it were the wrong type she might reject it and go into shock." This was getting me nowhere.

"Well she will die if we don't right? So lets try." Jake looked at me for a long time.

"Alright, its worth a try. But we will need a lot of blood." To answer his unspoken question I thrust my arm up. That's when I saw the marks. There were small cuts and burn marks all over me where the red shards had penetrated my protective magic. It finally dawned on me that this was the cause of the pain and itching all over my body.

"Take all you need from me. Just help her." Jake looked at me and shrugged.

"This day can't get any weirder. Ok, roll up what's left of your sleeve. Once I do this your going to let me tend to those right?" Jake asked, but I knew he was not asking, he expected me to do as he said.

"Yes of course, just hurry." I answered not in a mood to argue with him.

Jake got busy gathering the supplies. I moved the doctor to

another examination room and locked the door from the outside. By the time I got back Jake was ready. He had me lay down in a reclining chair and told me to relax. It was the first time I had stopped moving since this whole thing started. I didn't realize how tired I was. I felt the sting of the needle as it poked its way into the vein of my arm. Jake told me to squeeze my fist a few times, then the blood was flowing. I could see that the tube lead to a small jar then through a tube into Cyin's arm. As I watched, my focus left the room and I started to doze.

"Kaid, Kaid wake up man." Jake said in almost a whisper.

"What? What time is it?" I asked almost completely awake in an instant.

"It is almost 8:00 at night. We need to get out of here. I don't know how much longer doc will be asleep, the receptionist left a few hours ago, but the night watchman will be in soon."

"How is Cyin? Is she ok?" I asked as I quickly got up and went to the table she was laying on. I could tell almost right away that she was breathing easy. I placed a hand lightly on her face. There was only the slightest hint of a flush.

"She is ok, the fever broke shortly after I started to give her the tranfusion. I have also given her two IV's. She has been resting for about half an hour."

I grabbed Jake in a massive bare hug. "Um Kaid, Could you set me down, I know this doesn't look right."

"Thank you Jake, I know Cyin will thank you too, when she wakes up." I picked Cyin up and started for the door.

"Kaid... Where are you going to take her?" I stopped right where I stood. I had no idea. I couldn't go back to my parents place; hell they more then likely already had a search party out looking for me.

"I don't know." I said in a weak tone of voice.

"Come to my place. It's a rather small apartment, but you can slip in the back almost unnoticed, and no one should bother you there." I just looked at him for a second.

"Thanks Jake, that's twice today you've helped me. I will not forget this."

"You don't think I was going to let you leave without any explanation do you. Plus you promised to let me tend to those cuts." Jake explained with a smile.

It was a forty-five-minuet drive to Jakes apartment. I was lost in my own world the whole time. Jakes brake lights a guideing beacon in the night. About half way there Cyin started to come around.

"Kaid, what's going on? Where are we? Am I dead?" I just sat there for a moment stunned. Then I started to laugh. My laughter was a mixture of relief and stress, but it felt good anyway.

"No silly you're not dead. And we are on our way to a friend's house. How do you feel?" I moved the rear view mirror so it pointed at her in the back seat.

"Not as bad as I should. What did you do?"

"Well we gave you some medicine and a lot of blood." I watched as all expression on her face fell away.

"Where did you get the blood from?" She asked real quietly.

"Well I gave it." I almost didn't answer her. Something was odd.

"You gave me blood. To save my life?"

"Yes. What's wrong?" I asked

"Well it's just that... never mind." She said this last part almost like she was embarrassed to tell me. I figured after all that had happened it was best just to let this drop.

"Alright, we will be there soon, you rest until then." Cyin just mumbled something as she laid back down. Soon I could hear slow rhythmic breathing.

As we pulled into the apartment complex I started to get worried. There were a lot of people around, and a lot of light. Jake just kept driving until he pulled into a small ally that led to the back of the apartment building. By the time I parked my car Jake was already waiting on me.

"Just cover her with the blanket and follow me. They are used to people slipping in this way with their drunken friends." He said this a little louder then I liked, but I guess it was more for anyone who could be listening then it was an actual explanation for me. I got into the back seat of the car and began to lift Cyin out.

"Kaid what's going on?" She asked as she suddenly came awake.

"Nothing, we are here. I was going to take you inside."

"You don't have to carry me, I think I can walk."

"Stop being so bull headed, you were all but dead six hours ago. Just lie still and we will be inside in no time." Cyin growled at me a little but let me pick her up.

After we got into the apartment I placed Cyin on the fold out couch-bed. She was asleep before I finished tucking her in.

"OK Kaid how do you know her. And what happened to the two of you. You both look like you just went thought a train wreck. No don't start yet, let me get some things from the bathroom so I can tend to those cuts, then you can tell me." It didn't take Jake long to gather what he wanted. Mostly just alcohol and pads. I began to tell him everything as he cleaned out the cuts and applied bandages.

"So you see I am a mage, and she is my teacher." I winced as he scrubbed out a deep cut.

"Don't be such a wuss. And it seems to me that she is a little more then just your teacher, if she is the girl you have been telling me about?"

"Well Ok but that is how it started. Now if your done I wouldn't mind a quick bite to eat then I need to sleep. I still don't know what to tell my parents. I'm sure they have been searching for me all day."

"You go to the kitchen and get something to eat. I will call them and tell them you are here, and you will be home in the morning. It is summer break, they may not even be looking for you yet."

I knew they would be, they worried every time I was five minuets late. Never before had I just left and not told them I was going to be, or that I was going to be gone all night. I went to the kitchen and got a few slices of cold pizza from the fridge, which I scarfed down in no time. Followed by a can of soda. By the time I got done raiding the fridge Jake was walking in with a big grin on his face.

"Dude you will never believe this, they called the police looking for you. They thought you got in a car wreck or something." Great this was just great, but before I could say anything he went on. "You know what the police told them, they said your parents had to wait at least twenty-four hours before they could file a missing persons report." I almost went limp with relief.

"So that means the cops aren't out looking for me?" I asked.

"Nope, you just scared your parents half to death. I think I smoothed things over though. They want you to go home first thing in the morning." He said the last part almost like an apology.

"Its ok man, you got me the night. I will figure something out in the morning." I had to stifle a yawn.

"Dude I think you need to go to bed. Is there anything I can get you?" Jake asked

"Just a blanket, I will sleep in the chair by the couch." Jake just shook his head at me.

"Dude you've got it bad..." Was all he said as he went off to get a pillow and blanket. As I was settling in to the chair, trying to find a position that didn't cause my back to cramp, Cyin rolled over to look at me.

"What are you doing?" She asked

"I'm trying to go to sleep."

"Look there is a huge bed here, and more then enough room for both of us. Plus I don't want to be alone tonight" When she said the last part I could here the shakiness of her voice. I knew what she meant; I was also going to have nightmares tonight.

As I curled up in bed next to her I felt a little better. She snuggled in close to me laying her head on my chest and an arm across my waist. It felt right having her there. It was almost like we just fit together. I would have loved to lie there all night and just watch her sleep. Feel her fur against my skin, but I was so tired that sleep quickly stole all thoughts from me.
