Chapter Five Survival

Adam woke up after Nick. It was around one in the afternoon. Nick was in the shower. Adam was naked when he got out of bed. He was thinking about last night, making his morning wood ever more prominent. He walked into the bathroom where Nick was washing himself. Nick looked over at the canine and smiled, "Good to see you're up. I have work in an hour, care to join me in the shower?" Adam grinned. He had never taken a shower with someone before. He nodded, "Yes, I want to." and with that he jumped into the shower with Nick. It didn't take long before they were kissing and fondling each other. Nick leaned against the tiles, sticking his butt out towards Adam. Adam didn't need to think about it before standing behind him, moving the cougar's tail aside, pressing his canine cock into that hole. With a soft moan, Nick took the husky's member again. They both know they needed to be quick. Adam wasted little time getting into a steady rhythm. Leaning over to wrap his arms around his lover. Their breathing became hard, Adam was gripping the cougar's manhood in his paw, stroking hard at it, moaning into his neck. Nick pushed his backside against the husky, moaning out the canine's name. In a few moments, Adam could feel his orgasm coming. With a grunt, Adam thrust deep into his lover, painting his tailhole with his seed while Adam shot his load onto the tiles and dripped some onto Adam's paw, who proceeded to lick the cum from his paw. Adam pulled out slowly, turning Nick around, kissing the feline softly as they continued to wash each other. After the shower, The two of them got dressed quickly, having spent a bit too much time in the shower. Nick was still drying his hair as they got out of the apartment. Adam pulled Nick to his car, "I'll drop you off. It's Friday, wanna go out tonight?" Nick stood beside Adam's car, "Sure. Where do you want to go?" Adam shrugged, "Maybe that Velvet place. I've never been to a gay bar." Nick smirked, "It's a club, not a bar." "What's the difference?" Adam unlocked the car doors, getting in the drivers seat, opening the passenger one once he was in. Nick followed Adam into the car, "Bars are for getting drunk without having fun." Adam started the car, heading out to drop Nick off. After nick was dropped off, Adam headed home to get some new clothes on, clean his room out and do his usual home things. Both his parents were working, so he was able to do all he needed without being disturbed. He even had the time to paw off to earlier events. His mother got home around four in the afternoon. Adam was in the kitchen, making himself a sandwich when she walked into the house, She smiled at Adam and said, "Hello, Adam. Not out with friends today?" "Hello, mom." He replied, "Not until later. I'm going out around eight, though." "Oh? Going out, eh?" Lena replied, getting something to drink from the fridge. Adam felt himself blush, "Erm.." He knew he could avoid it, but decided he'd just tell her he's going on a date. He would wait on telling her about Nick for another time, "Yeah, I guess so." Adam's mother closed the fridge, sitting down at the kitchen table, "So. Who is she?" Adam blushed harder, "Mom.. I don't really want to.. " "Hush. I want to know. Who can you tell if not your mother?" Adam thought for a moment. Whether it was a bad idea to tell her everything. It was a lot to think about. Too much for now. He eventually said, "Maybe later. We'll have to see how it goes." He really wished then that she'd let it go. Lena seemed disappointed. Adam knew she wanted nothing more than to pry. He needed to divert the conversation, quick. His thoughts were a flurry of possible outs. He didn't have time and blurted the first thing to come to mind, "I need to clean my room, we can talk later, mom." Without giving her time to respond, he bolted to his room. His room was clean. Everything was put away. There really wasn't anything he needed done in here. He sighed, falling onto his bed. At least he had time to think about what he was going to do. There was a lot to consider. He knew his mom would freak out, she was a bit uptight. He thought that Roger might accept him regardless. His dad was always laid back about things. He sighed and laid there until around six. Roger had come home from work. He brought what smelled like fast food chicken in with him. The family ate together. As usual, not much was said or brought up. They generally ate in silence lately. There was a strange tension in the air. It filled the house. Adam could sense it. Something seemed missing. It had been like this for years. Adam didn't like it. Both his parents got along alright with him only when they were alone. Roger had been trying to make improvements in the household. Adam could tell it wasn't really his dad's fault. Roger eventually got to talking. Mostly asking Adam about school and sports. It was a while before Adam had to head out. He said his goodbyes, avoiding questioning from his mother and drove to the restaurant where Nick worked. He was a bit early, and the valley parking guys were staring at him funny while he was waiting. Eventually, Nick walked out, still in his waiting clothes. He was talking to Adrian. A friend of Nick he met a couple weeks ago. An effeminate and pretty shy lion that Nick had once told him was an intersex male. The two walked to the car. Adam rolled down the window where Nick was standing, Nick said, "Hey, can we take Adrian with us? He's meeting his boyfriend there." Adam nodded, "We going to your place first?" Nick shook his head, getting into the car, "Nah, I'll just wear this, tonight. I just wanna get some drinks in me." He laughed, "And you, too, of course." He leaned over, kissing Adam on the lips. Adam blushed, kissing Nick back before starting the car. The three talked on the way to the club. Nothing really important. Adam felt comfortable for once in his life about openly sharing his thoughts with a group of guys. It was the first time he'd really talked about the actors he was crushing on. He finally felt like he was starting his real life. He could move in with Nick, now that they were mates. He was truly happy. They got to the club, it had just opened. Once inside, a wolf walked up to them. Adam recognized him as Pete from the wrestling team. He was a powerful looking male. No one looked more out of place in a gay bar. Adrian almost immediately jumped onto the wolf. Adam had never really met the Lion's boyfriend, he was shocked seeing a guy like him there. The four of them drank for a while. Adrian and Pete went dancing while Adam and Nick sat at a booth. The place was getting pretty crowded by now. Nick got up, "I have to use the bathroom. Want anything to drink while I'm getting up before I go?" Adam nodded, "Yeah, I guess you could order us a couple more." Nick smiled, "Alright, I'll be back in a minute." He walked over to the bar. The bartender walked over to him, "More of the same?" Nick grinned, "Yes, sir." The bartender rolled his eyes, "Stop calling me sir, Nick. Makes me feel old." Nick giggled, "Maybe when you dress better." The bartender laughed, "I was setting trends before you were a tickle in your pappy's sac." He started the drinks "Oh!" Nick interrupted, "Speaking of tickles in the sack, can you send the drinks to my table, Please? I have to use the little boys room." Before the bartender could reply, a horse, a tall man, had cut into the conversation, "Hey, handsome." Nick turned to the man. The horse was looking him up and down, no doubt undressing him with his eyes. Nick held back a shudder, "I'm sorry, I'm taken." The horse replied, "Out of sight, out of mind." Then winked at Nick. "Ugh." Nick sighed, "get lost." The horse didn't seem phased by the rejected. Before the horse could say anything, Nick said, "Look, I have to use the restroom. Go hit on someone else." He then turned and walked into the bathroom. It was a clean, very white bathroom. A condom dispensing machine hung on the wall. He took the stall at the back of the room, knowing the only other open one had a glory hole in it. If they all didn't have one. To his disappointment, there was one. He sat down on the toilet, rolling enough toilet paper to plug the glory hole. He didn't want someone looking at him use the bathroom, and he really needed to. There was a voice coming from the next stall. It was hoarse, and sounded a bit eerie. Even when he used to blow randoms through the glory holes, he would have refused him. The man on the other side said, "Looking for a little fun?" Nick shook his head, "No." He replied, "I'm just here to use the bathroom." He felt himself blush, "And no. You can't watch." With that, he plugged the hole up with a large amount of paper. The voice laughed, "No worries, kid." and went silent With a sigh, Nick was able to relieve himself. In a few seconds he heard the voice ask the same thing to someone on the other side. A voice of the horse that hit on him replied, "Oh yeah, baby.. I got something big for you, I hope you can handle it.." Nick sighed with relief. The horse gave up on him and just moved on. There were a couple groans before he heard the screams. The horse was screaming in pain, yelling, "What! Wh..What the fuck!?" there was a rush of noises, seemed like the horse was trying to escape. Nick felt it was time to leave. The second Nick rushed out of the stall, quickly putting his pants back on, planning to get the hell out. There was a hyena standing in front of the other stall. He was holding a gun in one paw, a large, bloody knife in the other, he was laughing as he kicked the stall door open. Nick froze from what he saw. The horse was clutching his crotch, which was bleeding, badly. The hyena pointed the gun to the horse, yelling obscenities, mostly about his indecent lifestyle. Nick backed into the sinks as the gun was fired. Eyes wide, seeing the horse shot to death, right there, in front of him. The Hyena turned to Nick, pointed the gun at him. Nick couldn't move, all he could see was the madness in the Hyena's eyes. His breath was stuck inside him, his heart stopped for all he knew. He could feel tears rolling down his face, all he could think was, "I'm going to die." Somewhere he heard the door slam open. Before he knew it, Adrian had rushed in, tackling the hyena to the floor. He dropped his gun, which slid to Nick's feet. He still couldn't move. Pete was there, too. Pete rushed to get the attacker off of Adrian, who must have been the fastest person in the bar. Nick couldn't think right, his mind wouldn't get the image of the dead horse away. Adam was in the corner, frantically calling the cops. The hyena pushed Pete away, then stabbed Adrian in the gut with the knife. Adrian let out of high pitched scream when Pete punched the man with all his strength. The hyena was able to doge the attack, causing the wolf to punch a dent into the tiles, yelping in pain, obviously having just broke his paw and wrist. Without much thought, Nick picked the gun up, pointing it to the hyena as he went to grab the knife out of the lion on the floor, writhing in pain. Nick pulled the trigger. Over and over until the gun wouldn't fire any more shots, paws shaking, finger still pulling the trigger as if it would make the murderer more dead with he kept trying. There was blood everywhere. People on the floor. Pete was over Adrian, trying to take the knife out without having Adrian scream out in pain. Adam was shaking, his paw gripped around his phone, talking to someone, yelling into the receiver about what was going on. He was crying. Nick just stood there, shaking heavily, tears streaming down his face. Everyone was in tears. Pete was telling Adrian he was going to be okay, doing his best to comfort his mate. Adrian was yelling, saying he was dying. A police officer had entered the room first, followed by some others with a stretcher, taking Adrian and Pete away. The officer had to pry the pistol out of Nick's paws. He hadn't moved an inch since he killed the hyena. He never even noticed Adam was holding him the entire time after he hung up. The whole thing was too much for him to handle. They were both brought to a police station. Given coffee and something to eat there to calm them down. The coffee helped, though Nick couldn't eat. They sat him in a dark room with a mirror in it. He was at this point, able to talk. They asked him what happened. He explained everything. They let Adam in to help him relax. But something didn't feel right. He couldn't understand it. When they were let go. It was around one in the morning. The first thing Nick did was call Pete, to see if Adrian was alright. Pete said he was in a lot of pain, but was going to survive. Adam parked outside Nick's apartment. Adam said he'd spend the night with him. They were both shaken. Nick got dressed, though, he didn't feel safe here. Even as they slept together. He felt exposed, vulnerable. Adam wasn't cutting it. I wanted to feel secure and protected. Like how he felt in Roger's arms. He knew it was wrong. But he needed Roger, now. All he could think about was feeling that warmth only that much bigger man could give. He didn't sleep that night, and didn't know if he ever could again.
