The Need
poem
I'm wanting
Always wanting now
You
Always you
More with every sigh
I heave
And every silence
Leaving me lonely
Tears to soak my pillow
In a bed
That's too big just for me
You're here
But you're not
When I'm wanting
You
When will I stop
Wanting
Waiting
Eternity
To feel you
Taste your skin
And kiss your lips
Maybe you'd have
More to say to me then
More than you do now
The quiet is killing me
I'm starving
Lonely
Without your voice
I'm left
Awake
Listening
To you dream
Left
With the ache
The wanting
That steals
My breath...
