Chapter 3 ---- Land of the Dragons
** ** Once they left TwilightTown they headed for the Land of the Dragons. Hayner, Pence, and Olette watched through the window as they flew through space. With a long flight, maybe an hour long, they saw the world in the distance.
"There it is." Sora said over the intercom.
Meanwhile in the Land of the Dragons...
Mushu was walking outside the snow-covered 'Village'.
A black dot appeared in the sky behind Mushu. The black spec was now growing rapidly. It was King Mickey's ship. Mushu still hadn't noticed it. It was coming fast. It stopped outside the village, right above Mushu. Then he saw it.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH, MULAAAAN!!!!!!!" Mushu screamed in terror as he ran away from the ship.
As the ship landed, Mushu dug furiously into the snow, throwing it onto of himself in hopes of camouflaging himself. As Sora stepped out of the pilot's room, and everyone exited from the passenger area, Mushu jumped out of the snow.
"Sora!!" He yelled as he started running to Sora.
"Heartless!!" Pence shouted, seeing Mushu.
"Get it!" Hayner yelled.
Hayner and Pence charged at Mushu, swords drawn. When Mushu saw them he stopped and ran in the opposite direction.
"AAAAAAAHHH!!!" Mushu screamed like a girl as Hayner leaped at him.
"Blizzaga!" Sora yelled, as he froze Hayner in midair, encasing all but his head in ice.
"What the?!?!" Hayner shouted.
"Are you crazy? That's Mushu, he's a good guy." Sora said.
"Sorry." Hayner replied, shivering.
Mushu slowly looked back and saw Hayner a few feet away frozen in ice.
"Oh, yeah. Who's the bad dragon? I'm the bad dragon. I see you couldn't take the freezin' temperature up here." Mushu started to gloat.
"Mushu, he's with us." Sora said. Mushu had forgotten that Sora was there.
"Sora!" Mushu said, running through the snow to get to Sora "So, this nut is with you." He said pointing to Hayner.
"Hey I can still hear y'know." Hayner said, trying to get free of the ice.
"Mushu, melt the ice and get him out of there, he's not used to magic." Sora said.
"Oh, alright." Mushu complained. Mushu shot a fireball at the ice crystal that melted the ice and the snow around it.
"Whoa--ow." Hayner hit the hard ground that was under the snow "Hey, next time, melt the ice slowly so I can land on my feet not my face." He said.
Mushu mumbled a few words before turning back to Sora.
"Hey Sora, thanks to you, after we defeated the Huns the guardians made me a guardian. Watch." Mushu said, as he started growing bigger and bigger until he could stand up and be ¾ of Sora's height.
"Wow, Mushu, that's great!" Sora said, awestruck as the tiny Mushu grew.
"Mushu!" Donald and Goofy shouted, excited to see the red dragon again.
"Hey!" Mushu replied "Uh... Sora, I don't remember all of these people." He said, whispering.
"Oh, that's right, it was only Donald and Goofy that were with me last time. Well, that's Hayner, Pence, Olette, Kairi, Riku, and that King Mickey."
"Hey everyone, nice to meet you, I'm Mushu." As they got their proper greetings with Mushu, Mulan was coming over to them drawn by the large ship visible from the village.
"Sora!" She yelled.
"Hey, Mu--" he was cut off as she hugged him, happy to see him again. Kairi turned red and walked over to them.
"Hi, I'm Kairi, I don't think we've met." She said, a hint of jealousy in her voice.
"Oh, hi. I'm Mulan. Sora helped me save the palace a while back." She said.
Sora turned a light shade of red, a little embarrassed at Kairi's actions. Once everybody got a proper greeting with Mulan, they started walking towards the palace. Sora was talking to Mulan while everyone else enjoyed the scenery in the beautiful world commenting to each other about the things they saw. They were entering the 'Imperial Square' now. (Area before going to the 'Palace Gate' which leads to the 'Antechamber')
"Mulan," Sora began "we're not here for a visit. We're here to check the world for Heartless."
"Oh, no." she said, a frightened shiver in her voice.
"Well, its not that bad--" Mulan cut Sora off in mid sentence.
"LOOK OUT!!!" Mulan yelled as a dark red and black, dual ended Keyblade spun like a frisbee towards Sora.
"SORA!!!" Kairi screamed. Sora turned and looked at the Keyblade. He ducked just in time.
"What in the worlds!?!" he said, looking back at the spinning blade "It's coming back!" he shouted. Everybody was already taking cover by lying on the ground except for Riku, Sora, Kairi, and the King.
"What is it?" Pence said, looking up.
"It's a-Heartless!?!" Sora said, shocked and puzzled at the same time at its ability to use a Keyblade.
"That's what we'll be facing on this journey!?!?" Hayner asked, shocked.
"Yeah--" Sora shouted as he dodged its Keyblade again.
"Then--we better get used to it. Pence! Olette! This is what we came to do. Fight!" Hayner said as the three of them got up charged at the heartless. Before Sora knew it, Kairi and Riku charged at the Heartless along with Mushu, Mulan, the King, Donald, and Goofy. With a smirk, Sora charged at the Heartless. Somehow, he ended up in the front of the group. The Heartless was in full view now. It was different than others; it wielded a dual ended Keyblade, had no visible face, seemed to be made of armor, and had an unusually humanlike form.
Sora leaped at the Heartless, his Keyblade in a midair overhead swing. Instead of hitting the Heartless, he was thrown back by another unusual thing--Magic. The Heartless could use magic, not many could. The Heartless captured Sora by surrounding him and itself in a bubble-like force field, shutting out the others.
"SORA!!" Kairi screamed, before she started to furiously hammer the force field with her Keyblade.
Goofy charged the force field with his shield. Nothing worked. Only the King stood back, knowing that the force field could not be penetrated. The Heartless had Sora cornered. Even Mushu tried with all his might to break the shield with a constant flow of scorching fireballs. Sora could do the only thing possible, fight. He charged at the Heartless and dealt a horizontal slash at it before it could dodge. The Heartless recoiled and threw its Keyblade at Sora. Sora dodged it just in time, but it was coming back.
"Reflega!" Sora shouted, the semi-clear shield surrounded him.
The Heartless Keyblade shattered the shield and struck Sora in the back.
"SORA!!!!" Kairi screamed, so loud and high pitched that everyone buckled over with their hands over their ears. Sora fell over, motionless.
"SORA!!!!!" Kairi screamed even louder, she began madly hammering the force field with her Keyblade. Her Keyblade started glowing white. She smashed the force field and charged at the Heartless. Her Keyblade lost its color and completely glowed white.
"No, Kairi!" Riku shouted. The Heartless stood there, as if it were mocking her by ignoring her as a threat. She swung at it, but missed as it teleported before she could hit it. It appeared behind her.
"Kairi, behind you!!" Olette shouted.
Kairi spun around and blocked the Heartless's attack, her blade still glowing. She deflected its attack and swung at it again. It blocked her attack with such ease; it seemed like she posed no threat to it. She began attacking furiously at it, but it was able to guard every attack that she threw at it. Her Keyblade grew brighter and brighter. No one dared interfere with her fury. Then, she yelled in rage throwing an overhead slash. Upon impact on the Heartless her Keyblade let out a groundbreaking pulse that threw the Heartless back, dropping its special dual ended Keyblade when it flew backward. She picked it up. Kairi's Keyblade, still glowing, morphed itself into a dual ended Keyblade. With the Heartless's blade and her own, she charged at it yelling. Using her Keyblade to pin the Heartless to the wall, she stabbed the Heartless's Keyblade right through its head. The Heartless faded away; its Keyblade followed soon after. Kairi's Keyblade morphed back to normal before she let it magically fade, ready for use whenever she called it. She ran to Sora, who was still motionless on the ground. At this time everyone ran over to him.
"It can't be." Hayner said, staring in shock.
"He's alive." the King said, checking for a pulse "He has a pulse, but it's very weak. He just needs to rest. When that blade struck him in the back it knocked him out."
"Sora." Kairi said softly.
"He'll be okay. Mulan, is there anywhere we can take him." the King asked.
"Yeah, we can take him to the palace up ahead. The Emperor can help us." She said. Kairi carried Sora to the palace, watching his face for any signs of consciousness.
"So, what was that?" Hayner asked.
"It was a Heartless." the King responded "It's called a Dark Heart."
"Wait, did you know that we would be fighting these?" Olette asked.
"Yes, but I didn't think that they were going to get this strong." the King said.
"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Do you mean this is some kind of test." Pence asked.
"No. I couldn't take on this new threat by myself, so I asked Sora to help me." the King explained as they entered the 'Throne Room'.
"Ah, Fa Mulan. And much company." the Emperor said. With a quick bow, Mulan said, "Sir, we have a problem."
"What kind of problem." the Emperor asked, as Kairi stepped forward with Sora in her arms.
"Is that, the young lad who helped you defeat Shan-Yu?" He asked.
"Yes, sir." Mulan answered. The Emperor motioned to his guards, who exited the room and returned with a first aid kit.
"Young lady, what is your name?" the Emperor asked Kairi.
"Kairi, sir." She answered.
"Well, Kairi, can you put down the young man right over there?" he asked pointing to a nearby sofa. She nodded and set Sora down on the sofa.
"Yes, thank you, he needs to rest. Now, will someone explain to me what happened?" the Emperor asked.
"I will." King Mickey stepped forward "I am King Mickey."
** **"Ah yes, the ruler of all the worlds. What is happening?" the Emperor asked.
As the King explained the problem to the Emperor, one of the guards that protect the doors ran in. His armor was shredded in some places, his sword was bent in so many places, and he looked as if he were going to faint.
"Sir-outside-creatures." He said, before he collapsed, dead.
"Heartless!" Hayner exclaimed. Kairi silently headed for the door and exited without anyone knowing.
"Let's go!" Goofy yelled, as they all ran through the door.
Kairi was already outside when they arrived.
"Dark Hearts!" Donald yelled.
"Kairi!!" Olette shouted.
Four Dark Hearts surrounded Kairi.
"NO!" Pence shouted.
One of the Dark Hears surrounded all five of them in a force field.
"NO!" Riku yelled, charging at the force field.
"We can't let this happen!" Hayner yelled, as he and everyone else charged at the force field behind Riku.
Back in the 'Throne Room'...
Sora was regaining consciousness.
"Wha... What happened?" he asked weakly, slowly getting up.
"From what I understood, you were knocked out by your enemy." the Emperor told him.
"Where's everyone?" Sora asked.
"One of my guards warned us of a mysterious threat and your friends got up and ran out." he responded.
"Heartless!!" Sora shouted before he ran out of the room.
When Sora got outside, what he saw terrified and enraged him at the same time. Kairi was being attacked by four of the mysterious Heartless.
"NO!!!" Sora shouted.
Sora's clothes started to flash a bright, shiny silver color. When Sora summoned his Keyblade, his clothes turned silver and two Keyblades appeared, one in each hand. One white, one black. Sora began charging at the force field yelling, the Keyblades spinning behind him. With the power of magic, Sora jumped and stood in midair above the fifteen-foot tall force field.
"Master Hearts!!" He shouted as his clothes started to flash from silver to white.
The Keyblades began wildly spinning around, pointing away from Sora. Kairi was trying to attack and dodge at the same time. She was not going to be able hold them off for long.
"Final!" he shouted, releasing all of his magic.
The Keyblades started going wild, pounding, hammering, and slashing at the force field. Then it happened, a blinding flash indicated that the spell was over, the force field exploded.
"Rraaaahh!!" Sora yelled, as the Keyblades went crazy, slashing and stabbing enemies under the control of magic while Sora hovered in the midair.
"Haa!" Sora yelled, as the Keyblades stabbed the ground right were they were at, releasing an incredible earth shaking pulse.
The Dark Hearts screeched and screamed as the pulse shocked them and killed them all. Sora slowly glided down, collapsing from the intense energy release when he landed.
"Sora!" Kairi yelled as she ran over to him, followed by everyone else.
Sora was slowly getting up, struggling to keep his balance. He was about to fall over again when Donald and Goofy caught him. His clothes returned to their original color.
"Sora, can you walk?" Goofy asked.
"Yeah." Sora responded weakly "I'll be okay, thanks."
"C'mon let's go back into the palace." Mulan said.
"Hold on, I still have a bit of magic left. Curaga." Sora said with little energy.
"There, much better." Sora said as the spell renewed their strength.
With new strength and energy, the large group headed back to the palace. Once they entered the 'Throne Room' the Emperor stood up.
"You have put up a good fight young man. I would not think one so young could control such strength. I thank you for defending my palace." the Emperor said.
"Your welcome Your Majesty. Well I guess we'll be going now." Sora said.
"Hold up, you ain't going out there by yourself. Not with those Heart Darks, Dark Hearts, whatever they are. I'm going with you." Mushu said.
"Mushu's right Sora, you can't take on those things by yourself, you may be able to outnumber them, but they have strength and magic that can kill. Mushu should go with you." Mulan said.
"But what if the Heartless come back?" Goofy asked
"I can handle it. And there are lots of dragons out here that can defeat them. We'll be fine" Mulan argued.
"Then it's settled, Mushu will be coming with us." the King said.
"Now, that's better." Mushu said, starting to grow larger and larger.
"Let's head back to RadiantGarden, we've been out for a while and we've done enough today." the King said.
"But, it's still early in the day." Mulan said, as they started walking back to the ship.
"In our world, RadiantGarden, it's just past sunset." the King explained.
"RadiantGarden, sounds like a nice place to live." Mulan said.
"It is, but this place is just as good." Kairi commented.
After a long walk they arrived at the ship.
"Well, this is it. We'll see you later Mulan." Sora said.
"Mushu, if you ever want to come back for any reason, we can always bring you back." the King said.
"Thanks, Your Majesty." Mushu responded.
Everyone said their goodbyes, and boarded the ship to return to RadiantGarden.

Well, this was an interesting chapter and those heartless were pretty strong. I wonder what the next chapter will be like, who knows, oh wait I know. stay tuned the next chapter should be out soon. And also I'm thinking about posting one drawing of a scene per chapter. But I need to know what scene you guys would like to see. Leave a comment describing which scene from the chapters you would like to see and I'll draw it out as best I can and post it on yiffstar. Remember only one scene will be drawn per chapter so choose carefully.
