The Red Maiden series pt[3] Kinslayer

The council chamber was silent and empty save for one. In Its dark walls was the reflection of the old badger Brume facing his high black obsidian desk, in very same spot Larka; the red she wolf had been standing just moments before.

Silence...

The badgers mind however was anything but,

"Larka"

The badger said aloud,

"You are mine, and therefore I shall have you".

He began to stroke the growing erection in his pants, as his twisted mind began paint the picture of Larkas' fate and his desire.

"If there was but one singular reason that I have allowed that poor female to continue progressing in rank without consequence for her actions thus far".

He paused letting himself mentally drool over the prospects of his actions to come,

"It would simply be because she has remained unspoiled. No matter how much more I could have gained in terms of money, alliances, or favors that any client may have offered. She had always found some way around it. This often made the situation more difficult for her. And yet she was still able to complete her main objectives no matter what circumstances entailed her to do otherwise."

He let his mind wonder, though not without purpose. He began to imagine the day when he would summon the red shewolf to the council chambers. She would promptly answer the call as she always did. And come gracefully striding in through the two main doors that unbeknownst to her; be locked as soon as they shut. This was not to keep her in, but rather to keep others out. For, what right did she possess to justify resisting him?

She would enter and notice that none of the other members of the council were present, and that she was alone with her master. This would make her uneasy, yet excited at the same time. She would not be on active duty, and his summons would come late in the night in which case, do to her haste to answer his call. She would only have time to dress in a simple slip to come to hide her nakedness, as he was sure that she slept in the nude.

"You summoned me sir?"

She would so innocently inquire, to which he would say through sly fangs;

"Yes Miss. Larka I have, and can you guess why?"

She would then bow low unintentionally showing him her exquisite cleavage. He would then rise from his chair and walk out from behind his desk, paws in his pockets feeling the hardening member that he would soon put to task of taking from Larka that which she had kept hidden and guarded for so very long.

"Never sir, to question any action you would have me take would be grounds for me to take my own life" Would be her dutiful reply.

"Good good, very good Larka" he would say in a fatherly way. "And what is your purpose?"

"My purpose is what ever my superiors deem it fit to be"

He would then place a heavy paw on her small shoulders and lead her towards his desk. This sudden contact would surprise yet excite her, and he would be able to feel this tense reaction of her body through her thin slip.

moving infront of his desk he would stop, the desk itself was at a higher level then tables around them. Then he would then move behind her sliding the paw on her shoulder to the back of her neck while placing the other on the small of her back above the sensitive spot near the base of her tail. Now with both of his paws on her body she begins to suspect something very different was about to happen in this particular encounter with her master. Her pretty ears would lay flat against her head as he leaned in close.

"You have been a naughty little wolf lately, haven't you?"

"Sir?" she would ask nervously, absent mindedly curling her tail around her leg. Oh how he loved it when she did that.

"Yes, not following orders completely and twisting them in ways that make you look o so clever."

She would be frightened now, but he would continue to play with her mind just a little more.

"You are aware of the punishment that usually follows such insubordinate actions?"

"Yes sir" would be her solemn reply, "what would you have me do sir?" at this point Brume would move the paw nearest her tail along her delicate frame to her left wrist whilst his other scratched its way from her neck across her shoulder, and down her arm to her right wrist. He would raise both of her paws up over her head and place them on the edge of his high desk; she might have to stand on the tips of her footpaws to reach. Here he would hold her for a minute, so she could contemplate her fate.

"Do? No not do, but give, I would have you give." He would move his paws down her arms to her breasts and began none too gently, to rub and pinch her erect nipples.

"Ahhhhooohh" she would moan. And begin to grind herself against him to display her need for his touch.

"Yes you like that, but you want to give me more yourself don't you?" she would then shudder as one of his paws moved down to her moist neither region, and begin to stroke her hot virgin sex.

"Ooohhhh yes I want to give it all, please sir allow me to give all that I have to you" he would then smack his lips lustfully and pull her close and grabbing her hips. "You can be sure I will take from you Larka, all that I can" he would rip off her slip to show that she had indeed nothing on in the terms undergarments, revealing her pure unspoiled body to him.

"Yes" she would say, "take me now, all of me for you and only you for I am yours to do with what you please"

"Yes" he would he would then say as he fumbles with his uncooperative belt clasp, "you are indeed mine and I will show you now how much I..."

"Brume!? Sir, Brume" the badger was abruptly and rudely snapped back to reality by his third in command, the scarred female lynx Ninneko. "Sir? Are you alright? You're breathing heavily and perspiring quite profusely; do you want me to call a medical specialist?" Brume had been fervently acting out his role in the passionate fantasy; he had almost been caught literally with his pants down. It was a good amount of luck that she had entered through the main doors behind him so that he had his back to her. If she had come in through her private entrance that befitted her rank, she would have been granted a full view of his now raging hard on that he tried vainly suppress with awkward paw movements. "Sir..."

"Yes Ninneko, what is it?" He bellowed. She quickly gathered the papers in her paws and angled what was left of her ears forward too seem more alert. "Yes well..."

"Out with it!" Brume yelled in frustration, more at himself then her.

"The progress report of the individuals sent on the retrieval mission have just now come back to us." She fidgeted nervously, as always did when delivering a report she knew would agitate her superior.

"And?..." Brume asked impatiently.

"The mission has been deemed a failure since the agents assigned the task of finding the lost operative, have not made contact with us in forty eight hours. It is very likely that they have shared the same fate as the others before them; we will dispatch a team to try to recover the bodies. But like in the previous missions to find the individual in question. It is to be expected that like before, they will find no trace of them.

"Its always this game with you isn't it?" Brume growled to himself

"I'm sorry sir?" Ninneko asked taking a step closer and perking her one good ear towards the mumbling badger.

"Never mind, take that to Alastor I'm of no disposition to deal with such a inconsequential matter right now." This took Ninneko by surprise. No matter what Brume had ever been doing in the past. He had always dropped it immediately to handle this particular matter personally, why would now be any different. She pushed the thought out of her mind and obeyed. She bowed low to the badger and left the way she came in.

Meanwhile, on the other end of the facility.

"Hey Steve, take a look at what just showed up on my monitor" said a stoat to his raccoon counterpart,

"What've ya got there Rikki?" asked the raccoon as he rolled in his chair away from his own screen to look at the stoat's.

"I don't know some weird anomaly of some sort" they both looked at the words on the screen that kept flashing: ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US.

"Hmm that's really odd" said the stoat scratching the bottom of his hairy chin,

"Yeah, but it's probably just one of the programmers messing around with system again. "Ya know, tryin ta leave thayer mark I suppose", Replied the raccoon sliding back to his own computer desk.

"I dunno Steve, the last time someone was caught doing this they were killed by one of the field agents in his room"

"That may be so Rikki, but I heard that he was done in by that red wolf babe" he stretched back in his chair curling his fingers and toes thinking lavish thoughts about the beautiful red she wolf. "I've heard some pretty awesome stories about what she does to you, before she kills ya" he closed his mud brown eyes and grinned. "Yeah, that would be worth dyin for, definitely." Rikki turned his pointed snout towards the day dreaming raccoon with a withering look that went unnoticed.

"And what makes you so sure that if you did such a stupid thing, that they would send her to kill you huh?" the raccoons eyes opened slightly. "What if instead you got someone else, say that big oaf of a griffon Blizzardi for example? Or may haps one or both of the green dragon brothers?" the raccoon hunched forward in his chair and looked disdainfully at the stoat.

"You do have a talent for destroying other dudes fantasies Rikki" he said with a huff and turned back to his computer and began to type loudly on a program he himself was working on.

Rikki also turned back to his own screen and was quickly reminded of why he had bothered the raccoon in the first place.

ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US; was still flashing boldly in front of him.

"Oh well, I guess I'll just remove this before anyone gets their ears clawed for it" and with that he began the process of removing the program from the main system. "Wow, this is actually really complicated" the stoat said to himself, "Whoever created this program must really know their way around our mainframe to be able to set up something this good, and remain undetected." He typed a few commands, "not to mention untraceable." But he was not to be intimidated; he adjusted his glasses on the tip of his nose, got comfortable in his chair and steeled himself to the task.

Ninneko rounded a corner and entered the dark cavern that was the main lobby of the underground facility. Only a few bio chemists in white lab coats could be seen talking to each other as she made her way to Alastor's living quarters.

An aging silver gray fox stood nude in his bathroom. His back was to the mirror, and the shower had been running cold for several minutes. He swished his large fluffy tail back and forth a few times, the black floor tile felt warm to his bare foot paws in contrast with mist emanating from the shower. He had an abnormally large amount of fur on his body, even for a fox. It extended several inches from his body making him appear much larger then he really was. He was looking down at the reflection he cast of fox beneath him looking up. He twitched an ear the other fox did the same, he waved a paw at him, and he waved back. "Goodbye"

He said it in a voice that that didn't quite match the fox's age, it wasn't his own. He walked over to the showers entrance and without any form of hesitation, stepped into the ice cold jets of water spouting from the multiple faucets in the walls around him. He stood facing a spout in the wall; the water quickly smoothed his fur flat against his body. He stood motionless letting its frigidness soak into every inch of his silver gray fur. This began turning it to an even darker shade of gray from being wet. One minute passed, and then another without him moving a centimeter, his ears were pressed firmly to the sides of his head so as to not let any water into them. It was half way through the third minute that a chemical reaction began to take place from the consistent low temperature of the water and air around him. To one on the outside looking in; his body looked as though it was changing. His silver gray fur seemed to turn into a transparent gel for a moment before it washed completely off him like a snake shedding a liquid skin to reveal ebony fur darker even then the walls that surrounded him. This new form looked much younger and stronger then the fox it had been just a short time ago. He let out a soft cool breath and raised its ears to one of cold streams feeling a slight discomfort as they too were washed free of the liquidated fox fur. Water now began to sheet off the fur of this new individual, unable to penetrate it to reach his skin.

This being stepped out from the shower and turned the outside knob until the water ceased flowing. What was once an aged overly fluffed fox was now stood the form of a sleek, well defined male wolf. Though he was not as big in terms of girth as the fox he was impersonating, he was just as tall. The wolf seemed to blend with the black stone around him. He began to walk eerily without a sound out of the bathroom towards the bedroom, water continued to run off his form fitting coat and within three steps he was completely dry, the water never did seep its way to his skin.

Ninneko stopped in front of Alastor's door. She straitened her self up, licked the back of her paw and ran it over each ear in turn. She paused for a moment over what was left of her right ear and sighed quietly to herself. She had always been a bit self conscious of her appearance because of that ear, even though she had other deep scars on her muzzle from missions she had been apart in the past, nevertheless. She always hated the fact that she had only half of her right ear. She clutched the documents she was to deliver to Alastor and inhaled deeply "what does matter" she said aloud to herself, "If Alastor doesn't seem to care enough to notice then neither shall I". She reached out to knock on Alastor's door, but as she did so, it opened vertically to reveal a very dark and cold cave like atmosphere inside. This unnerved her a little but the older fox was known to be a little eccentric at times so she brushed her suspicions aside for the second time that day and stepped in.

-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=--=-=---=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-

It was dark inside, black as pitch was how she would have described it if she could. The air inside was deathly cold, her breath caught in her throat and she began to cough loudly. The door suddenly closed shut behind her nipping the end of her tail as it did. This caused her to yelp and jump forward, but she was now in complete darkness and had lost all sense of where she was in the room now. She stumbled around for a moment calling Alastor's name. But when there no reply she began to become frustrated and decided to stand still and get her bearings.

"Alastor?!" no reply, "Alastor where are you?" still nothing. "Hellloooo?"..........."Dammit Alastor I know your in here, your not one to leave the door to your room unlocked so you must have been expecting me, and I am in no mood for games right now so where are hiding?......."with a frown she reached out in front of herself, and her paw was gently taken by that of someone else's .

"I have not been hiding" Came a whisper that sounded like it came from behind her, "I been here, in plain sight, all this time." Although the voice sounded as though it came from various odd angles, the paw that held her own assured her that its owner was directly in front of her.

"Is that so?" she asked the darkness with notable scorn in her voice, "then let me ask you this: Did enjoy watching me fall about your room like some blind kit before coming to greet me O paw in the darkness?" the paw holding hers was joined by a second.

"Well I did watch you diligently enough to know that never once did you fall. And that you in fact were indeed able to retain your footing thou rout your little gallivant in my room." She wanted to pull him in and claw his face with her other paw, but feeling its contents, she was reminded of what she had come here to do in the first place.

"Here" she said thrusting the agents report in front of her, "A little task from Brume." a weight lifted itself from her held paw, she then felt the papers being pulled out of her other paw. She let her arm drop to her side but before it got there, she heard the papers hit the floor then felt her wrist being grasped firmly.

"What th..."

"Ninneko" came the whisper from the darkness again.

"How long has it been...Ninneko" the voice sounded unfamiliar and again seemed to come from all sides of the room. The Lynx however, considered the question and in truth, it had been a very long time.

She and Alastor had at one point been very sexually adventurous lovers, and she had come to see him many times in the past. But much of the time this last year, he had distanced himself from her and consequentially they had grown far apart.

"About a year Alastor, that's how long its been." She tried to free her paws but they were only gripped tighter by the unseen presence before her.

"Far too long" came the whisper. Ninneko felt her paws drawn together, and then grabbed and by a single extremity and held there. "Ninneko, Alastor sees your beauty and he wants you to feel his desire for your form once more". This sudden spill of emotion caught Ninneko way off guard, why would Alastor chose now of all times to express his feelings for her? She felt a needle sharp claw prick her chin causing her to raise her muzzle. Maybe he had felt confused for his feelings; he couldn't find it within himself to come forward till now.

His claws seemed sharper then she remembered.

But could that be it? Could his inability to express his true feelings for her, be the reason for his neglect? She felt cold air brush against her exposed neck, wind perhaps?

"No" she thought, "how could there be wind in here? A draft? No impossible. Another cool gust sliced through her fur stronger than before. "A breath? Is it his breathing?"

She didn't have very long to contemplate before she could feel razor sharp fangs start to press past her fur into her soft neck flesh. They did not bite, or tear. But rather cut like scalpels, it felt as though they were made of ice as they slowly pierced her skin. The claw that had been held her underneath her chin slid down her jaw bone, and cradled the back of her neck as she was pulled deeper into the macabre embrace. The long fangs plunged effortlessly into her, although she could feel little pain at the area of infliction, her body spasmed at the sudden damage caused to it. She found she enjoyed the sensation of being held so strongly that she couldn't escape, unexpected the pleasure of this moment started to.....

"Wait" she heard it in her mind louder then she could she could say aloud. The front of her body felt wet warm and slick and her clothes seemed stuck to her chest "what is this... this can't... this is all wrong" she began to struggle weakly as her strength was starting to fail rapidly. She felt light headed her eyes swiveled in their sockets had she not been in complete darkness she would have known that due to excessive blood loss, she had lost her ability to see a few moments ago. She started to panic and her mind began to race as she felt herself being lowered gently to the floor. She could feel her paws brush the damp carpet which meant they were now hers again. But try as she might, she couldn't lift either one to her to her free flowing neck wounds.

The cold air of the room combined with such a mortal wound lowered her body temperature to a fatal level. She could faintly feel fangs, as they slid from her neck. Her head began to lull to one side, but was soothingly caressed up towards the ceiling by unseen gentle paws. She then felt the lids of her eyes being closed for her, a bloody froth formed at her lips she sputtered.

"Y.... you.... You are not...Alastor." were the last words she spoke before death took her. A form, invisible in the all consuming darkness of the room arose to stand over the lynx's prone figure. He stood stock still for a moment letting the cold air bite at his nose. It was the same for any other part of his body not protected by his fur, but he paid little mind to it and decided to enjoy the silence while it lasted. To drink it in was for a fleeting moment, his only desire. He then began to move to the adjacent room, running his pink tongue over his lips and whiskers, spitting over his left shoulder to relive himself of the slight metallic taste of Ninneko's blood. He came to a small computer and pressed a button on the monitor. The screen blipped on to show a program he had uploaded into the mainframe earlier that day, slowly being decoded and erased. Seeing that there wasn't much time left, he walked towards his closet and activated the door. After a scrutinizing its contents he reached inside and began to pull out what he needed.

=-=-=-=-=-=---=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

"Alrighty then" Rikki proclaimed triumphantly

"Ya figured it out eh?" said the raccoon from across the room

"Oh come on, you can give me more credit then that" Rikki said with a smug grin on his long snout. "I've almost terminated the whole program, just two more tiers to go and it'll be like it never existed" the stoat adjusted his glasses that were slipping down his nose and continued to decode the last remaining parts of the alien program with gusto. The stoat loved doing things like this on computers but because of his usual workload and rank, it was often left to lower techs like Steve. But today was different, because today Alastor himself allowed him to dismiss most of his workload, to do with the day as he pleased. Given the rarity of such generosity, and since this was something that he enjoyed doing so immensely, he would take advantage in any way he could and this was the best way he knew how.

"Just a little more" the task had become almost a personal challenge to him. His paws flew over the keyboard in a blur "Yes, yes almost there" his glasses had almost slid completely off his nose but he was too intent on defeating the program to take notice. "Aaannnd....there! Yes I did it!" the stoat leaned back in his chair with his arms behind head taking a long breath and holding it for a moment. Without turning around Steve waved a paw in the air.

"Well whoop de fricken doo Rikki". Said the raccoon with some annoyance, "Now could ya please be quiet so the rest of could get some work done here." The stoat swiveled around in his chair and noticed the various other techs looking at him, most with agitated expressions plastered on their faces.

The stoat stood paws akimbo, "hey what can I say...." A loud rumbling cut him off. At that moment, multiple high energy explosions ripped through the lower parts of the facility, destroying many vital points of the structure.

"What the hell just happened?!" a mottled rabbit screamed and fell as the whole building seemed to shift under their feet.

"Structural integrity has dropped to sixty-eight percent for more then half the compound." Said a female computer voice as tremors shook through facility for a second time.

"More explosions?" asked a female jackal that had taken cover under a table with her paws over her ears.

"No, that's just the aftershock from the initial detonation" said a Dalmatian running frantic system diagnostics.

Steve the raccoon whom was standing over his computer because his chair had rolled to the other side of the room was double checking the anti air defense system for holes.

"This doesn't make sense" he proclaimed to the others in the room, "we are a mile underground in a hardened bunker, there is absolutely no freaking way we could get hit like this without some kind preliminary warning of an air strike!" Rikki, whom had been looking for his glasses on the floor, found that they had been under Steve's footpaws a few times before he had got to them. He reached out, picked them up, and placed them haphazardly on his nose. Looking through the cracked lenses he spoke calmly to the irate raccoon, but everyone else in the room also listened.

"You are absolutely right Steve" Steve looked towards him with an odd mixture of surprise and confusion. "We are impervious to any form of aerial attack for a number of reasons. All of which are irrelevant in this case because those explosions came from inside the compound itself" no one in the room moved, they all just stood there wide eyed and silent. Rikki adjusted his glasses and turned his back on his dumbfounded peers, "Apparently, we have been infiltrated".

-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=--=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=--=-=-=-=-=--=-=--=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

Every field agent that had survived the explosion and had not been killed by falling debris from the aftershock, had all been forced to the main lobby where the structure was sturdiest and had incurred the least amount of damage. A small group of experienced agents stood apart from the rest and spoke quietly to one another about their current situation.

"So what do we know so far?" asked a female black panther, to a male brown mouse with a small computer linked to the mainframe.

"Well...as far as I can tell, the parts of the building that have had the most damage done to them include the supply depot, mess hall, numerous parts underground catacombs of course, and the main living quarters."

"So any heavily populated areas were hit the hardest" said the panther

"It appears so Silhouette who ever did this, knew exactly when and where there would the highest concentration of agents and personnel in each part of the compound at the time of detonation." The mouse lowered his small head in what looked like a lament to the dead, but he was really brushing some dust off the screen of his computer.

"Isaac" the mouse looked up to see a large white feathered griffon lumber towards him through a large group of agents.

"We need to find a way to get everyone out immediately we don't know how much longer this place will hold" he looked over his shoulder then leaned closer so that his beak was only inches away from the mouse's ear. "Can you find out if there are any more explosive devices left in the compound?" the mouse looked at him then back down, keying a few commands into his computer. Without looking up, he said:

"Sorry Blizzardi, there is something wrong with the program and I can't access it right now" he looked up at menacing figure of the griffon looming over him. Blizzardi straitened himself but still kept his brown eyes upon the mouse as he asked;

"Then how about a way out" he said tapping a black foot talon on the hard ebony floor.

"Let me see" after a few short key strokes a triumphant smile spread across his face and he proudly showed Blizzardi the results of his efforts. Not one to be left out, Silhouette reached over the mouse's shoulder, grabbed the screen and looked at it herself.

"Is that all? That can't be the only way out, there must be another"

The mouse roughly swiped her black paw away and glared at her.

"No that's it; every other way has been compromised by the explosion. The hall that joins the A-B sectors is the only safe way that will lead you out to the surface." The mouse bluntly closed the computer and jammed it into his rucksack, "Any other way out of here has either been destroyed, or too dangerous to even attempt." The mouse got up and stalked off to another group of agents that were laughing and joking around.

"I guess that's that" said Silhouette swishing her long tail. Blizzardi looked in the direction of the sliding doors that Isaac had said were the only way out, some agents had begun to enter them already.

"Yeah, looks like Isaac has already started to spread the word of his discovery to the others." Silhouette folded her arms under her breasts and faced the white griffon,

"Well this means that not all of us can go through at the same time. From what I could see on the rodent's computer, security measures are still in place. And that means that the door at one end of the hall won't open until the door at the other end is closed." Blizzardi nodded began to make his way through the crowd in front of the door which was easy because his size, and set himself to the task of door monitor.

"O.K. that's enough the rest of you lot back off, you can go in when the door opens again after this lot clears out" Blizzardi's deep baritone voice rang out over the heads of the small handful that were to wait their turn. Just as Blizzardi was about to close the door, a dark figure slipped past him when his back was turned, and into the long hallway. The white griffon closed the door and heard it lock. Inside the hallway, the red warning light began to flash and those inside found themselves trapped.

"Hey what's going on here" Blizzardi stepped in front of the door and peered through the small window near the top. Through it he could that no one was panicking, he saw what he thought to be a pointy eared shadow move away from the wall and begin to speak to a large German Shepard. Although Blizzardi couldn't hear what was said he saw anger flash in the eyes of the canine, he drew a knife and lounged. The dark figure fainted slightly, catching his arm on his hip trapping the elbow against it with his paw and pulling it towards his back while thrusting his hips forwards. The dog let out a howl of pain as his arm was broken which caused everyone in the room to turn and take notice of the dog's plight. Blizzardi then saw another canine pull a gun and raise it to that back of the shadows head; Blizzardi could see the murderous expression on his face. The shadow spun quickly grabbing the slide of the gun and fingering the latch dissembling the top half of the gun rendering it useless. He plunged the disarmed Shepard knife into his chest then kicked him into the circle of onlookers.

"Are you out of your fucking mind?!" Blizzardi screamed at the door

"What happened" asked Silhouette running over to peer through window. Blizzardi looked at her quickly,

"Someone just injured Hoiler and killed Noss!" The feline's eyes grew wide. At that moment someone on the other side yelled; "Freeze" loud enough for them to hear faintly. They both looked through the small window and watched intently as a lone figure was surrounded by every agent in the room. Some drew their guns, others knives and some just looked as though they were going tear the figure apart with fang and claw alone. A few spoke to the figure, but the words were blocked by the door. A frilled lizard reached out to grab the figures shoulder but he screamed and snatched back a bloody stump where his hand used to be. A rat opened fire, and utter chaos ensued. Random screams of terror and pain could be heard as the room became a blur of moving bodies.

"This is..." said Silhouette taking a step away from the door, "this is unreal" Blizzardi said nothing; he was intent on watching the events unfold on the other side of the door. Mostly he could just catch a glimpse of someone firing randomly into the crowd and others seemed too scared to do anything at all. He noticed one of the dragon twins without his brother, when a body slammed against the door eliminating Blizzardi's view of the fight, as it started to slide down. A sword pierced both the hapless individual and the door pinning the corpse to it. The tip of the blade had stopped inches from Blizzardi's right eye, he didn't even flinch. He turned his back on the door facing four agents that did not enter with the first group, a decision they are probably very happy about, and began to walk towards them. Not counted among them was Silhouette, standing apart from everyone else chewing on one of her claws, and Isaac frantically typing away amongst the four remaining agents eagerly trying to ask him questions. Blizzardi listened for a while as the sounds of gunshots and battle faded. When only silence could be heard he spoke:

"Comrades..." he began, but was interrupted as the door started to open but was jammed by the body that still hung on it. Inside was complete and total darkness, the red hazard lights had stopped flashing, and the lights that had normally illuminated the hallway had been damaged by what ever had happened in the hallway. "...Something is about to come out of that door, the likes of which we have never seen or experienced in our lifetime. And when it does..."

"Help" came barely audible cry, "p..Please help me"

"Its some sort of trap" Isaac said raising a combat rife to his shoulder. One of the other agents near him, a female ermine medic named Talami placed a paw over the rifles scope.

"No wait, it's Hoiler" sure enough the German Shepard blood stained and whale eyed staggered through the half opened door reaching out with one arm while the other hung limply at his side. "Hoiler!" the ermine ran to help the injured canine,

"Talami wait!" yelled the skunk agent next to her, she paid him no heed and when she got to Hoiler she immediately started to asses his injuries. But it seemed he only suffered from a broken arm, other then that he was completely unscathed.

"Hoiler, hoiler! Look at me hoiler" the dog looked past her into nothingness. Talami put a paw on his chest then his face, Hoiler abruptly looked at her then grabbing the top of her head, he wrenched it back and bit into her neck spilling her blood over them both.

"Gimme your blood! I need blood! Help me, I've lost so much blood" a faint gurgle escaped Talami's lips as her life faded away,

"Hoiler! What the fuck!" screamed the skunk

"No way" said the dingo in astonishment next to him, none except Blizzardi noticed that the blade had been removed from the door and it had slowly begun to open again. Hoiler took a shifty step forward holding the female ermine's body in his good arm as blood still gushed from her neck.

"HA ha ha Hugh..." Hoiler looked down stupidly, and eyed the sword point that had sprouted from his chest. He smiled and fell to his knees letting Talami's body slump next to him.

"There it is" Blizzardi said to himself. A small amount of blood ran from of the corners of Hoilers mouth as the blade turned inside his body, cut inward then withdrew. The Shepard fell forward and hit the floor with a loud cracking noise as his muzzle bounced off the floor. The skunk, dingo, and squirrel nearest Isaac opened fire, spraying round after round into the dark hallway. Isaac himself took careful aim at the doorway and was about to let loose a barrage of lead from his own rifle when the others abruptly stopped firing and fell to the floor around him, except for the dingo that landed on top of him. A small metal barb was imbedded in his forehead.

"Ayaa!!" Isaac screeched as he fought to get the lifeless canine off him, Silhouette drew her pistol and took aim.

"Damn! it has throwing knives" she said. Blizzardi drew his massive sword from the sheath on his back. Silhouette looked at him like he was crazy,

"What are you thinking Blizzardi? There's no way you can fight it like that."

"This is the only way anyone can fight it"

"Are you out of your mind bird brain? Weren't you watching a minute ago? It just killed Pepe, Rocca, and Ben with throwing knives. What makes you think the same won't happen to you?" Blizzardi ruffled his wings and looked levelly at the panther.

"Well for one, I would not use a firearm because in which case he would only use the throwing knives to even the odds against him. Two, Isaac is still alive so I don't think he has any more left to throw. And the third reason is that he's still over there and were still over here." The panther put her paws on her hips,

"Well aren't you the knowledgeable one. And how exactly do you know it doesn't have a firearm of its own? Or that it wont make use of some the ones around it hmm?" the griffon shrugged his massive shoulders.

"I like to read old reports and documents on past agents" Silhouette arched an eyebrow,

"What do you mean, past agents?" Blizzardi looked towards the doorway into the foreboding hall; it looked like a portal to the neither realm. As he watched, the hall lights flickered for a moment and he was granted a glimpse of his enemy. For a split second he saw a figure standing at the doors threshold and behind it a scene that made his feathers itch. Blood spattered the walls and ceiling, bodies lay strewn all throughout the hall in various grotesque positions of death; he thought he saw at least one cut completely in half. That was all he could see before the light faded into again into black even so, the images stayed vivid in his mind. Isaac was standing now, pointing his rifle at the doorway and advancing towards it.

"You basterd, I bet you think your real funny huh? Making dead a flea bag mutt fall on me? Well why don't you come out of your dark little hole and face me eh?" The mouse stopped a few tail lengths away from the door. "I'm gonna give you to the count of three to step out here. Before I blow your punk ass back to wherever the fuck you came from." Isaac reached into one of the pouches on his belt and pulled out a grenade round. He loaded it into the launcher attached to the bottom of his rifle and took careful aim at the doorway. "One..."

Silhouette holstered her pistol and folded her arms under her arms under her breasts like she had before.

"Well what's it going to do now? It can't dodge an explosion like that in a hallway." She said with a smug grin. Blizzardi stood deep in thought and didn't say anything.

"Two..." Isaac adjusted the stock against his shoulder and fingered the trigger. They all watched as darkness the seemed to morph itself into a canine form, but it turned out to be a wolf with jet black fur stepping through the doorway his eyes were closed. "Well, well" Isaac said lowering his rifle somewhat, "so you finally decided to show your self? Cant say I'm really impressed, expected a little bit more, if ya know what I mean?" Silhouette put her paws over her ears. "That's it huh? Doesn't dress to impress does he?"

The wolf was indeed humbly equipped in a basic sneaking suit with a few minor alterations. Where the gun holsters would usually be, there were instead sleeves for throwing knives, two on each leg, both were empty. On his back upside down, he carried a short curved sword similar to a wakizashi. On his left hip, was a matte black sheath for the single edged sword in his right paw. This blade resembled that of a katana.

"One bullet is all it will take" Isaac said, raising the rifle scope to his eye. "One shot and it's all over for you asshole" the wolfs eyes were hooded by darkness as he shook Hoiler's blood from his sword. Most of the sneaking suit he was wearing was drenched in blood, the parts of his head and face not hidden by shadow, seemed strangely clean however. Silhouette stepped away from Blizzardi's side, and began to walk like a super model on a runway towards the wolf.

"Silhouette wait" Blizzardi called after her, but she just swished her tail at him and kept walking.

"O poor wolfie" she said tauntingly playing with the tip of her tail, "it looks like you run out of options" she stopped at an angle, just out of Isaac's line of fire. A few steps away from the wolf, but still maybe a little too close. "It's too bad," she said licking a paw and running it over her ears. "Up close you're actually kinda cute" she laughed deviously at her own ilk; Silhouette didn't notice it, but the wolf had opened his right eye and was looking straight ahead through the rifle scope into Isaacs's. Silhouette began to wander why Isaac hadn't fired yet; she looked over and saw him shaking like a leaf, his eyes nearly bulging out of his head.

"Isaac what the hell is the matter with you? Stop gawking and shoot him!" Isaac screamed and fired one round. Silhouette turned back to the wolf expecting to see him fall, but he only seemed to be missing an ear. But the ear wasn't missing; he had just laid it flat against his head out of the fight path of the bullet. The round hit the control panel of the door behind him causing it to short circuit and spark a little.

Isaac fell back on his rump dropping the rifle in his lap and babbling like an infant to himself.

"Silhouette move!" Blizzardi was sprinting towards her, his sword raised above his head; Silhouette's eyes flew back to the wolf and her paw instinctively reaching for the gun at her side. Too late, the wolf was already standing in front of her, and had grabbed her paw.

Silhouette couldn't draw her weapon; she reached out with her other free paw to protect herself but to no avail. The wolf had reversed the grip on the sword in his opposite paw and brought it down, cutting diagonally from her left shoulder to her right hip. She screamed sort of, only a "glug" sound came out. Her chest cavity opened and spurted blood onto the right side of the wolfs face and body. He let go of her paw as she fell in a heap to the floor. He then faced Blizzardi whom had stopped a few feet from him.

Blzzardi, shaking with rage raised his sword and pointed it directly at the wolf; the top right half of the wolf's sneaking suit had been freshly soaked with Silhouettes blood but the amount on his face quickly beaded into large drops and fell to the floor.

"There's no doubt in my mind as to who you are now, Demon" the wolf flourished his sword and kicked Silhouettes gun out of its holster towards the white griffon.

"Ha" said Blizzardi as he smashed the pistol with his claymore blade, "I don't need such a coward's tool to defeat you Demon, besides" he cast a look at Isaac ripping the fur from his head. "If I did pick that up, you would use your eyes on me like you did him, wouldn't ye?" the wolf sheathed his blade keeping his gaze on the floor.

"Yes I've read a lot about you, studied your tactics, fighting style, tricks, every little rumor or scrap I could find about your past. It was fascinating, and somehow I knew Id get the chance to fight you someday." He spread his gigantic wingspan and flapped twice watching the gust he created ruffle the wolf's black fur. "It appears the descriptions I read about your odd fur type were true, Blood won't stain it and water can't penetrate it. I've always wondered why that is. The article offered no explanation" The wolf was silent. Blizzardi narrowed his eyes whirled his massive sword effortlessly in one talon, and then readied himself in a solid fighters stance.

"Come"

The black wolf needed no further invitation, he ran bare pawed at the white griffon and he came very fast. Blizzardi thrusted forward, the wolf dodged. He chambered his sword, then swung again, low and to the left to counter the wolfs evasion. His stance turned out to be a little too wide. And before he could bring his guard back to center, the wolf landed a clean uppercut right where the griffon's beak connected to his skull; he followed up with a brutal round kick to his right arm breaking it at the elbow. Blizzardi kicked out with one of his lethally sharp taloned feet, the wolf side stepped as a talon grazed the side of his sneaking suite. The wolf quickly drew the short sword from his back and stabbed Blzzardi's knee severing his A.C.L with surgical precision. Blzzardi let out a restrained cry of pain that turned into a very loud "Ooof" as the wolf crouched down and spun around with a kick that swiped Blizzardi's other leg out from under him. As the griffon fell, the wolf followed him down covering him with the point of his short sword at his neck. As Blizzardi lay there on the cold stone floor the wolf's sword tickling the down feathers of his throat, he couldn't help but wonder;

"Why do you stop demon? Why do you not kill me like you have the others?" the black wolf leaned in close. His breath felt like a whisper of arctic wind and when he spoke, his voice was barley audible, and colder still.

"Because my friend, you are unlike the others." Blizzardi stared with large unblinking brown eyes at the wolfs eyelids. "I have taken countless lives of cowards whom had died many times before their deaths." Blizzardi could feel the point of the blade withdraw from his plumage, "but you are a warrior, and warriors die only once." Blizzardi could not believe what he was hearing, the wolf flourished his small blade sheathed it, and stood over him. "You may exit out that way if you wish" he motioned towards the A-B connecting hallway, " you have a choice to make Blizzardi, and I leave you to it" with that, the dark wolf began to pad without a sound towards the council chamber leaving an injured and confused Blizzardi to his thoughts.

"Confront a strong opponent with annihilation, and then watch them survive; plunge them into a deadly situation, notice haw they discover their own will to live, to die without fear. When individuals fall into danger, they are then able to strive for victory."
