Cold tundra was what it appeared to be when the blizzard blew rough and hard giving no one mercy for vision or cover. Everything was just a foggy blur of white and grey there was no rest for this storm of ice. It slapped everything around and smashed into heavy hard objects making paranoia out of the hardest to scare. Finally taking a step slowly with little to no progress, the tracks stop dead cold in the deepest of the snow anything that was alive had becoming lifeless. Mother Nature was bitter and caressed away the heat of any life caught within her grasp in this dangerous time but, they didn't always last long.

It was clear, sunny and beautiful day with the snow glistening as the rays touched it. Birds could always be found chirping happily after the storm blew away. It was odd to this creature not knowing why it is that they could be so happy and alive after something like that. Sometimes it was best not to question Mother Nature's intent on such things and go along the ways of living.

With long ears perked the creature began moving its way slowly through the large amount of snowfall that had occurred over night making a new path in direction from where it emerged to where it wanted to go. Crunch was the sound of the fresh snow beneath its feet as if it was music to the ears.

The surrounding seemed to be in order from the last time there had been a storm. Nothing new except a few tree branches broken off and bits with pieces of leaves scattered all over the trunk of the trees. That was a relief to find so far but it was expecting a lot more.

At the end of the walk there was a medium sized river that flowed freely every season and never froze. Carefully the creature looked down into the water at its reflection and smiled.

There in the reflection was a large female figure baring large bosoms and hips. This figure was covered in complete fur and fluff from head to toe in what seemed to be a peach like colour with white along the chest, spots on the body in specific places and a slight pink from the fur hanging off the main limbs. Horns stuck out from the top of the head in a little m shape with a hook curve underneath, not to mention the long ears with tuffs sticking out from the tops of the ears. The muzzle was long and had two whiskers coming out one on each side like that of a catfish or western dragon. Covering most of the face was long, thick and curly hair that was blonde. Lastly was the tail that had white on the underside and was very large in size with nothing but fur and fluff.

That's not everything, the words bounced around in its mind.

There was more to this feminine beauty. She was actually part male which made her a hir or shi, though no one was actually able to tell since they never got close enough to hir.

I am a hermaphrodite dragon hybrid. I have a cock and a pair of tits who can also spit ice, it was so bluntly put while staring at the reflection eyeing from the chest to the hips giving a snort.

The back of hir mind told hir not to worry about hirself or hir origins but shi couldn't help but question it every time shi came out to this area after a storm. Quite frankly storms didn't happen often and when they did shi never really reflected on anything important about hirself unless it was in front of that river.

Hir head turned as shi heard a bird screeching at the top of its lungs appearing to be caught in something. It was obvious that birds weren't exactly the brightest things to hir but they were quite clever at points until moments like this she realises they are only as smart as their instincts. Slowly shi pushed hir way through the snow without much trouble towards the birds' cries. Shi did have to be careful just in case so that when shi got close enough the bird didn't try to peck at hir or injury itself.

The thing that appeared to be trapping the bird was some sort of cloth that appeared to be black. Carefully shi got in close enough to set the bird free from its entanglement but didn't get away without being pecked at to which shi would manage. "Your welcome..." shi muttered under hir breath watching it fly to a nearby branch, flittering about and tilting its head looking back at hir with its black beady little eyes.

Those damned little eyes, shi huffed a bit then looked back to the object of which caused the distress.

It wasn't anything new to hir and it certainly wasn't foreign looking. Nothing really caught hir attention until shi pulled it hard from under the snow.

A frozen corpse emerged from the ground as if to say "Peek-A-Boo! I see you!" Now this didn't really surprise hir much when people got lost around this area looking for their way up to the mountain resort that was technically on the opposite side from where shi lived. The only people who normally do get out here are hunters and the occasional construction company of whom shi takes care of so easily along with the casual daring twits or very stupid, very obnoxious teenagers but this didn't look like any of the above.

It dawned on hir slowly with the pack clinging to the body around the chest and waist area. This was the delivery man. He delivered all hir packages from food pieces when shi couldn't or didn't feel like going into town to collect them to actual items shi had order on the internet. Oddly wireless wasn't hard to get for hir out where shi live considering there was a few power lines a long ways away but enough that a cord could be attached to hir home. Daren was the name that popped into hir mind as shi continued to stare at the lifeless body being held in hir grasp from what appeared to be the shredded hoodie of the coat. Everything was purple and blue his eyes were glassy and dull like a fish with its mouth open which reminder hir shi needed to stock up on some food. Shi smacked hir lips dryly at the thought of food and curled back hir lips a little in disdain while holding the body there hir nose picking up on what otherworldly smell was over his human body.

"I wonder what he was delivering..." shi spoke quietly to hirself looking at the bag.

Deciding that holding a dead delivery man's body was painfully unbearable at most shi took it upon hirself to remove the pack carefully from his cold but lifeless corpse out of respect to bury him and to give people their worthless mail. Shi began to place him aside with the bag separately and dig a hole until pass the snow and 6 feet of dirt was dug from the ground. This wasn't something new to hir at all as was said before; shi did get many a visitor, what wasn't said was if they came out alive or not. It did take a toll on hir body time from time digging into cold hard ground but each time shi found hirself digging into it, it always felt warm and soft like new soil. It was an odd thing but after it was happening for so long shi figured it was Mother Nature's way of apologising, obviously not to hir but to the dead poor soul whose time wasn't meant to be clear cut in the richest point of life.

After digging up the ground shi began placing him comfortably into the hole and decided that shi would opened the bag to find out what was inside. What shi found was a small package with string. Just a plain old small, paper brown package the kind you'd find anywhere if it was old fashion mailing. It had no stamps and it just had a name in the fanciest black ink pen writing.

Alice.

Confusion started swirling in the back of hir mind while hir expression was neutral. What was in this package that was so important for Daren to lose his life over and why was he way out here? This was not his normal route unless something had scared him off of his usual trail.

Looking down at what seemed to be an appropriate facial expression of a frown to his body shi whispered a few prayers in hir dragon tongue and sang a few sharp sorrowful sounding tunes as if mourning for the loss of someone close. It wasn't that shi wasn't personally attached to him it was like shi had lost what came to be as close as a friend shi had ever had in a long time. The notes slightly echoed through the trees making hir ears twitch at the sound.

Shi stood there with hir head lowered in a few moments of silence in which shi heard nothing hirself from nature except for the soft trickling noises of the water and the breeze of wind. It was like another apology from Mother Nature to quiet everyone in the loss of what was innocent.

CAW!

Hir head jerked up after what felt like a long while to quickly bury the body with the bag before the murder party began to arrive in full swing. Such dirty scavengers did need to eat but not this time, no easy meal for them. They could out of any animal but not those close to hir. Shi used hir feet to softly kick the dirt in the whole while keeping one paw occupied with the package.

Sometimes shi disregarded the circle of life when it came to certain things. Although shi did respect the Mother's intentions to feed her creatures equally and evenly, Alice however, didn't feel the need to serve such a purpose since shi didn't feel quite like one of the animals of the forest or of this ground.

I don't look it either, shi thought taking one last look at the makeshift grave before hir. It really was a shame that he had died this way because like others say "No one deserves to die young." Although Alice didn't consider age to be something to look at to frown upon in death but more of what good came out of what was once living.

That was enough of this for today. Hir mind pulled hir back to reality along with hir stomach and the aching curiosity of what content was held within that package. Shi really hadn't known anyone in this century to use packaging of this sort. That's what really confused hir most. Who was it that sent this? Why did they send it? So many questions had boggled in hir mind.

CAW! CAW! CAW! CAW! CAW!

Wings were ruffling and a large flock of black scavengers flew in the sky overhead. A growl escaped hir lips a little as shi picked up a scent that made hir skin crawl and hir fur stand on end. This was a strange, erotic but very familiar scent. It was death with a touch of something else that couldn't be placed. What alarmed hir a little was the size of the murder in the surrounding branches of the forest, not another bird was in sight. Black feather swirled about in the wind carrying the scent around like a parade for all to smell and the feathers danced for the amusement of it.

Everything went dead quiet as shi looked around. No cawing, not a ruffle of feathers, not even the river or wind. Like everything was muted and the feeling of complete utter silence was a sign of danger but hir body only twitched like shi was frozen in place stuck staring beyond the river and into a black pool of shadows in the trees.

Hir body urged hir to move but shi couldn't obey it. There was something there but it didn't seem to take interest in the corpse that shi buried. Shi felt a pair of eyes was piercing through hir body and touching every part of hir that shi hadn't known existed yet. Then the eyes moved from hir to the box in hir paw making hir grip it tightly. It made hir shudder for an instant then it seemed to have disappeared along with the horde of birds that was just there.

This just got more and more...disturbing...was the way hir mind placed it for the time being.

After the pair of eyes fell off of hir body shi could hear everything else resume as if nothing happened. Slowly the sounds of birds chirping began to pick up again. It was eerie and unsettling how everything that just happened in the moment was gone within seconds. Life continued as it would and always did after death.

Shi looked down at the grave and marked it with a pile of snow in the shape of what could be a cross using only one paw to do so as shi clutched the package closer to hir body.

"Whatever is in this...it isn't a good for me..." shi whispered softly making hir way back to the path shi had plowed in order to go to the river.

I do intend on making sure it's nothing bad, shi told hirself in a reassuring voice but something in the back of hir mind sounded like maniacal laughter deep and masculine.

Whatever was making that laugh or whoever it was shi would hope to never meet it/him or whatever that was. It wasn't a friendly feeling or encounter that shi had just received not too long ago and had a very gut clenching, stomach twisting feel that it was not the last time shi would encounter this thing.

On hir way back towards hir home with that package almost clung against hir stomach shi saw a black feather blow along the front of hir feet pointing its hallow tip to hir while nearby there was a rustling in a tree.

When shi looked to the right side of hir there was a pine tree covered with snow on its needles just a few feet away. Up on the branches it made her clutch the package till it was almost a flat piece of paper to hir fur making hir suddenly dash for the door within sight.

What shi saw wasn't something strange. What shi saw was a raven, a larger than normal raven as black as tar with eyes a deadly red. It's what shi heard that frightened hir most.

It was laughing. The raven was laughing.
