Living in a world were supernatural beings are normal, you think Liane would be okay with being 'different' from the rest. All she wants to be is normal... A normal dragoness, living out her life as dragons should (whatever that means).

[ btw; This is just a random chunk of an idea trying to get my muse working for this novel. It is really random, but I would like to know what you think! should I continue? ]

"dear diary:

Some say I walk in two worlds. I just say, I'm a medium. The problem is I don't want to be a medium. Not only are they rare throught my kind but there are moments where I find something from months ago. I feel this gut pulling urge to write a letter to someone. Using words I wouldn't use in my everyday life. Like someone else is writing through my pen, and I'm a pawn to get their words across to their loved ones.

Ever since My world was turned upside down I have hated it. I feel my words to others go to deaf ears. I feel as if walking in both worlds has no nessisary need any more. So, I've tried to cut it off from my life.

Do you know how hard that is? Being a medium all your life, and suddenly just trying to cut it cold turkey. Giving souls, spirits, or what ever you would call them the cold shoulder because you can't mentally do it anymore. and yet they're still there. Looking at me like a little ball of fur who's begging for some food.

Sometimes I feel like that little ball of fur.. is me. The real me, trying to cry out for her own way. I need help, but everyone I turn to has turned their back on me. I have no idea what friendship means anymore because some of these people. The only people I truely can count on, well- they're not around a lot. I couldn't ask more from them... It just doesn't seem right.

I don't know what my purpose in life is. I don't know why I'm here, or why I can talk to people who met with death. My existance is unknown to me.

I must go for now.

-until later"

Liane closed her diary. Her days of flying with other scales were long done. There were no reason why to streach her wings. No reason to feel happy anymore. She put her diary back in it's hiding spot. She looked around herself. A white whispy figure stood in the corner of her room as it always had. She sighed, and turned to her door. A smaller figure stood in her way.

Fighting back tears, knowing all too well of the smaller figure, Liane pushed through the essance and through her bedroom door.

If I was normal, I wouldn't be able to see any of that. She thought to herself walking out of her house. She looked up to the sky. The sun was shining, no cloud was in sight. A soft smile appeared on her face. There was an energy change around her, she knew her friend was coming up to her right side. Liane looked in the direction her friend was joining her from.

"Liane!" she waved. "It's so pretty isn't it?"

"Who could miss this? It's nice to get out on days that feel like spring. The snow recently has been dreadful." Liane sighed. "How is your day Eva?"

"It really has." Eva giggled. "I was about to go spread my wings. Wanna come?"

"Nah, you can go."

"you sure?" Eva asked.

"Don't miss this beautiful flying weather, Eva. You'd hate yourself if it started snowing tonight." Liane said softly.

"okay."

Liane's eyes watched as Eva shifted. Deep green Scales growing under the girl's skin. Wings began jetting from her back. Her finger nails turning into claws. Her bones started moving, shifting, and growing twice their size. Horns grew from behind eva's human hair line, her hair shifted slightly to get out if their way. Eva stretched out her neck as it grew. Her wings moved to get used to the air between them.

Liane smiled at the new form her friend had taken on. A beautiful deep emerald western dragon. It didn't take long for the form to set and be ready to move again. It always interested Liane how her kind would just shift so easily into something so massive, so beautiful in a moments notice.

"hey, can you take me to Arista? or at least you know to the borderline?" Liane asked.

Eva gave her a look, "you know you can fly yourself, Lily."

"that's not as fun flying on someone's back" She laughed. "I'll go take the bus."

Eva sighed, knowing telling her friend to fly herself would have been out of the question. She didn't know why Liane didn't fly anymore. She always tried to ask, but Liane would just put up a wall that was unmovable. "Have fun with the smelly people."

"I will." Liane scrunched her nose before taking in a deep breath.
