"Would you believe me if I told you Lila taunted me?" he offered slowly. She as staring ahead but she wasn't looking at anything. For the first time in a long time she had no idea how to feel about what had just happened to her. She couldn't pull any negative emotions from it but nor was she sure she wanted this either. Did it change things? Would he feel he had more pull over her now? She didn't know. "I believe she would taunt you but I can't imagine how it could lead from me fuming at you to me thrashing on the floor." She finally said. She could feel him cringe but didn't give him the satisfaction of reassuring him that she had enjoyed the last few minutes Lila had left for her. She wasn't sure what Lila meant by throwing her to the front to consciously realize her companions head was in between her thighs and that it felt nothing short of amazing. She didn't know if she could consider Lila's consent her own. Certainly they were both technically Micha but all of her awareness wasn't split that way. They might as well have been two different people. But even if it were the case Jason couldn't have known - or even been thinking about the fact - that Lila might shove the reigns at her. With this in mind she settled back onto his chest and listened to him breath.

"I was trying to apologize." He finally admitted. She rolled over and gave him an incredulous look before speaking. "Is that how humans say they're sorry then?" she asked. She frowned and smacked him when he immediately burst out laughing. "No it's not. But I won't complain if you want to put it up for tally as I try to get back in your good graces." He said. She tipped her head to the side and merely watched him. He looked younger when he laughed and it reminded her that he was a mere seventeen or eighteen summers.

His smile was bright and open despite all he had seen and done. She liked the way the corners of his eyes crinkled when he laughed and how he ran his hand through his hair as he stopped. She pieced together an image of a much older man with his smile and his eyes and tried to put a face to his father. He paused to look down at her and gave her a curious look. She crawled on top of him and rested her front paws against his chest even as he stiffened. She ignored his remaining arousal and leaned forward. She poked her head between his shoulder and his neck and reveled that his hair was now long enough to tickle her cheeks. How long had it been since she had left her sisters and mother? "Tell me about your father?" she asked. He rested his hand on her lower back and rubbed small circles there. "Only if you tell me about yours." He rebutted gently. "I don't...Only Cassie knows about him." She said. By the time she had become Micha she had forgotten her father and her mother. Her two older brothers. She couldn't even remember the name of their farm, though she knew she had grown up on one. "Then let Cassie talk about him." He said. She relaxed into his chest and he sighed. "You first." She urged.

"Oh gosh. I don't even know where to start. My dad... I don't know. He was a really big hairy guy. Barrel chested and the loudest person in town. He never shaved a day in his life. He had hair halfway down his back and beard he used to braid. My little sister used to put these little daisy wreaths in it. He was a really big, strong guy but really nice. He was patient to a fault. I got along with him alright. The only time we ever fought was when we talked about what I was going to do with my life. I wanted to stay and farm, he wanted me to get out and do things. I'm not sure what things but he said he'd sell the farm before he let me hide their my whole life. Eventually I just stopped talking about it. I never got to meet my mom but everyone tells me I look like her. My dad is a foot and a half taller than I am and certainly more solid. Kind of an imposing figure if I do say so myself. He never remarried after my mom but he took in a little girl when I was about ten. She couldn't have been more than a year old when he took her in. When pa was working I was helping out with her and vice versa. I don't really know what to say about him. He was my dad." He said.

He tapped on her lower spine with his thumbs and blew out a breath. "I haven't seen him since I signed on but he was very alive when I left him. I like to think he's still out here. I know he can take care of himself. And what about you? What was your father like?" he asked. Micha reached gently for Cassie and paused when she leaped forward. Someone was eager she mused.

She rubbed her face over his and he held back a sneeze as she cocooned up to his side. She scent marked him as pack before settling down to press her wet nose against his cheek and growl. He froze and stared at the dark bumpy ceiling of their home. She snapped her teeth near his ear before leaning back to give him a frown. It was the frown of a very annoyed child and he grimaced to think she might throw a fit.

"You are a very naughty man." She said. He blushed an impressive shade of beet red before he attempted to defend himself. He hadn't thought they would share the details of the earlier incident with Cassie. She was just a child. "I see why you let me lay on your lap now. I'm just a puppy to you." She said venomously.

"No Cassie. No. Really that's not what I meant at all. I was just angry and frustrated and it made me want to say a mean thing to you. And I did and I'm sorry." He rushed.

The heat of her stare made the back of his neck prickle. He had witnessed many temper tantrums in front of the school yard and he hadn't known how to deal with those either. If the girl perched on his chest decided to start wailing he would have no choice but to sit in silence and deal with it. He sorely didn't want that. She stared down at him for one hard moment before a smile broke out on her face and she smacked him playfully.

"Well why didn't you just say so silly?" she teased. She nestled her head in between his neck and shoulder and for a long moment, he just sat there, hands frozen hovering somewhere along her back and his face fixed in a perplexed grimace.

He slowly lowered his hands to her back and let out a long swooping breath before deciding she was clearly utterly mad.
