While I knew this other kitsune was strong, she could also be easily distracted. I remembered the laser pointer pen in my back pocket, quickly I reached for it. As Kyuri managed to redirect her captor's attention long enough for me to retrieve it. The second it was free a the little green dot flashed within her field of view. Her ears perked up and twitched excitedly at the shiny green dot.

Luckily for Kyuri she learned how to control her impulse to chase small shiny objects. Though squirrels were a different story but, sure enough the laser pointer worked. The other kitsune dashed after it like a bullet, letting Kyuri go a second later. I rushed to Kyuri's side as the other one kept chasing the green dot along the ground. "That was low effective but, low Orion. You know us foxes have self control issues with crap like that." Kyuri whispered angrily into my ear.

"Be, thankful the trick worked and it got her to release you, now we can get out of here." I mumbled. While making the pointer to go in a zigzag pattern along the ground. It took Kyuri a few stressful moments to prep a teleport spell. Once it was ready I let go of the power button and we vanished in a split second. When the other kitsune realized she had been played for a fool. She howled angrily into the sky and began tracking us down again.

When the spell ended we were many miles away from the university and our enemy. "You know she won't give up that easily and the same ploy won't work twice." Kyuri informed. "I surmised as much already, just who was that kitsune?" I replied. "Renka, she comes from the clan Nyko Feather. They're the best trackers my world has to offer. What's worse they don't give up until their job is done." She informed as we started moving again. "That's really comforting, Kyuri." I whined.

"Sorry, but, it's the truth, Renka is the best tracker of her clan except for her leader." She said. "Lovely, so the kyubi of her clan is the very best but, how. I thought kyubi were responsible for the clans well being and safety." I stated questioningly. "Oh, make no mistake your correct in that assumption. The kyubi of clan the Renka comes from just so happens to be her mother. So literally to be the best you have to learn from the very best one's clan has to offer." She informed.

"Ok, talk about creepy and comforting at the same time." I replied semi-sarcastically. "Would you be shock to learn the Kyubi from my clan is my mother." She pointed out. I did a bit of a double take at the info she just provided me. "Speaking of clans which one do you come from?" I wondered trying to keep up with her pace. "Healing Whisp." She said in a soft tone. As I went to ask her to repeat her comment, she showed me her clan mark on her chest.

I'd seen a small portion of it before when she'd wear certain tops. This time around I got more than just a peek. Her clan mark was interesting it was a pair of sixes, though the one on the left was reversed. Without warning a soft slap broke me from my trance. "You know now isn't a good time for you to be thinking with your second head." She stated as her tails swished angrily behind her. "Sorry." I replied.

"Let's get moving before Renka picks up our trail." She informed. "Where would be safe from her for a while? Since your unique energy is like a beacon, no offense, Kyuri." I wondered. "None taken, Orion but, you do have a point." She said. "So what's the game plan before our reprieve is ruined." I pointed out. "There is none except for one option but, it's a last resort." She replied in a strange tone.

"Should I be concerned right now?" I asked unsure of where she was getting at. "The only place Renka would have trouble finding me is back in my world. There's a problem if I go back to my realm you'll be transported also." She replied. "Okay that doesn't seem to be a bad thing." I said. "That's not the case if you go back with me, we'll be returned to the point when the storm brought me here. Though we also will be separated again it would be some time before we reunite." She informed.

"With this mark you and I are never truly apart Kyuri or did you forget." I reminded holding up the mark. "Yes, I haven't forgotten but, there's a back draw, Orion. This spell requires a lot of power which I may need to borrow some from you. Though it may result in you regressing in age but, I can't say for sure. I'm not a full fledge kyubi so the spell may cause me to lose a few tails also. I need ask you this are you sure you're okay with everything I've told you?" She informed.

"Yeah, some things are worth the risk if it means your safe. So what do you need from me, Kyuri?" I replied encouragingly. She took my hand with mark on it and I could feel her power beginning to build. At first I didn't feel anything until this strange burning sensation grew in my hand. Kyuri began speaking in the language of the foxes. Everything started blurring together and the pain I felt grew beyond normal tolerances.

Like a bolt of lighting all that I've seen, felt, or ever learned was stripped painfully away. When I finally regain coherent thought I was in the arms of a dark silver three tailed vixen. As I went to speak all that came out was babbling and cooing. The middle age looking vixen looked down at me and smiled warmly. "What's wrong my little one are you hungry?" She said in a loving voice. Her nurturing voice soothed me instantly and I drifted off to sleep in her loving embrace.

In the few short years that followed that day, I grew up quick and learned about my new home. The vixen that had taken me into her home I'd later find out she was special. Her name was, Ashandria one of the three legendary tri-tailed kyubi. A master martial artist of the highest caliber, nobody in this world or the next could defeat her. She saw fit to teach me everything she learned over her long life. Granted she was a tough and strict teacher when we trained.

The rest of the time she was a truly loving mother and friend I could always count on. Yet, something felt missing I remember my past life before coming to this place. Even Kyuri's mark had nearly faded away over time but, I knew she was out there. Eagerly awaiting for the day we would reunite and be together for as long as time would allow. Sadly, something about today didn't feel right even, my step-mom acted weird.

"Orion, my son would please join me in my room when your finished." Ashandria said wearily. "Alright, mother I'm almost done in the training room." I replied putting the training equipment away. After washing myself and putting on some fresh clothes I walked over to her room. I gently wrapped against her door and she permitted me inside. Every since she adopted me I've never stepped one foot in her bedroom.

When I closed the door behind me and turned to face her. She wasn't herself her breathing was weak and labored. I swiftly rushed to her side and taking her hand into mine. "Mother, what's wrong you look drained?" I asked worried. "Relax, my son all will be made clear soon." She said weakly. "I...I don't understand mother." I replied with confusion in my voice. "Give me your left hand, Orion and I'll show what is going on." She stated. Hesitantly I did as she asked of me and placed my left hand into hers.

"Orion, though you're not my natural born child you've given me the greatest joy. The ability to pass on my knowledge to the next generation and also to someone that wouldn't abuse it. Now my son you shall bare my clan mark of Leaf Claw. Hold still while I grant you the last of the power that courses through my veins." She informed focusing all her strength. A warm tingling sensation coursed through my body. When the last of her power flowed into me, she let my hand go.

When I relaxed my mind and body I looked at myself to see anything had changed. Sure enough a faint glowing appeared on my upper left arm when I looked. It was my mother's own clan mark, I turned my attention back to her only to see that she aged rapidly. The elderly vixen looked up at me with a weak smile. "Wear my mark with pride and go fulfill your destiny my son. Remember I'll always be with you in spirit till me meet again my son. I love you." She said as her body began to dissipate.

As she faded away a single tear rolled down her cheek and fell to the floor. With that Ashandria had passed on to the next realm to be judged by the ancestors of her clan. "Goodbye to you to mother I promise not to let you're teachings and gifts to go to waste." I replied looking up to the ceiling. The next thing I did was walk out to the small shrine my mother prayed to. I lit a few candles, incense wicks and said a small prayer to help mother on her way.

Once nothing more could be done I spent a little time covering everything up with protective coverings. Gathering all the supplies I could carry then set out on my journey. The next few weeks I traveled through many small towns and a couple of cities. I got a lot of strange looks but, nobody dared to bother me. It was rather strange until someone pointed out that the clan mark on my left arm. Was that of one of the legendary kitsune from the Valurean War that occurred millennia ago.

Naturally I was confused by what the stranger said to but, yet somehow instinctively I knew. Granted being human I stood out a lot in world of only kitsune. The clan mark my mother gave me only added to the popularity I received. So like all the places I've been to, I resupplied and left before any problems arised. When I left the city limits I headed north towards the valley that underlined the mountains.

Traveling along a frequently used road, listening and enjoying the sounds of the forest. I came upon a long wooden plank stairway that led up to a small monastery. Something told me to go up the staircase and see if the monks would allow me to stay the night. As I walked up the staircase the mark, Kyuri had given me began to pulse. Remembering that when we were close it would react accordingly. So I ran up the stairs as fast as my legs could carry me.

When I finally reached the top of the stair case I saw a young two tail kitsune. As I drew closer she was huddled to her knees and crying uncontrollably. The moment I knelt down and placed my hand on her shoulder she jumped to the side. Her right leg swiftly connected with my jaw sending me reeling back. "STAY BACK, DON'T COME ANY CLOSER, I'M WARNING YOU!!" She screamed in fear. Rushing to the nearby building and slamming the sliding door shut.

Feeling horribly confused at the entire situation I decided to poke around. Hopefully I'm able to piece together this little mystery and help her find peace. I walked around the entire property looking for any clues or signs of a fight. Sure enough I caught the faint scent of blood in the air so I tracked down the source. When I got there another scent filled the air it was musty vaguely similar to arousal. It dawned on me another male kitsune was here and tried to rape her.

The only question is who and for what reason would they try to harm her. I decided to stay and clean up the place then try to earn her trust until I knew more. As the days slowly passed I repaired the damages to her sleeping quarters and the meditation hall. Each day I'd sit on the stairs next to the room she locked herself in. Trying to coax her outside and reassuring her I meant no harm. Sadly each attempt would fail, so I'd leave her meal by the door and walked away.

One day a small blessing came my way as I sat around watching the sunset. I heard a door open then footsteps approaching me from the building next door. The footsteps stopped a short time later though I didn't bother to turn around. "It's good to see you've come out, is there something I can do for you priestess?" I asked calmly not moving an inch. "I thank you for staying here and keeping the place tidy. Along with making sure I was safe and well protected from harm." She replied.

"Would you feel comfortable telling me what exactly happened to you?" I asked politely. "I'm sure by now you've figured out what took place here a couple of weeks ago. A kitsune disguised himself as a human, came here and tried to claim me as his mate." She informed holding back her emotions. "From the looks of what I find you were able to fight him off." I stated trying to hold my anger back. "I...I was able to before he was fully able to breed me. Though I did lose my virginity to him and now no male will want me." She pointed out.

At that point she broke down crying heavily, so I pulled her into my arms. I did my best to comfort her and reassure her that a male would be happy to have her. As I took her right hand into mine the mark on mine began glowing brightly. The memories of our past lives came rushing back like a flooding river. "Kyuri, my love no matter what has happened to you I will always want you." I informed holding her tight. "Thank you, Orion that means so much to me." She said leaning against me.

As she looked up into my eyes I saw those deep blue eyes shining up at me. Our lips slowly moved closer to each other we were just about to kiss. When a presence made itself known judging from the power I sensed it wasn't friendly. "HEY!! Get away from my female or you'll suffer my wraith you freak." The voice warned angrily. Kyuri remained sitting as I quickly jumped to my feet. Spinning around on my heels, turning swiftly to face this possible new threat.
