The Gift Of Beauty

It was a warm, dry, glorious Autumn evening in the beach town of Karakiky. The sun was just about hanging above the horizon, the delicate orb in the sky casting its sweet rays over the golden sands and the rippling, crystaline, blue sea. A dull swish of the waves lapping at the shore filled every particle of the air, not silenced by the usual whirr of the town life on this special night.

A set of footpaw pads were sunken into the sands, each one getting slowlyy washed away by the waves. The prints in the ground didn't last long in a place like that, these were made only moments ago. But they stopped, a lone couple standing there and letting their shadows over the flat expanse of golden particles.

The duo were stood together in possibly the closest way possible. They were stood shoulder to shoulder, one arm of each partner wrapped around the other and holding them close. One's head was rested on the other's own, both staring out at the shimmering waves and smiling hiddenly in contentment for each others heat. Even their tails were intertwined, both looped in a loving knot of fur on fur.

Even as a couple, they hardly budged even a bit, each not wanting to leave the embrace of the other. It was really a serene scene, the sun having dropped just a little, now casting romanic, ruby red light over everything. If there had been any possible way to make the beach shine any more after that, it would most likely blind those that gazed upon its silky, unmoving surface.

Finally, one of the pair shifted him or herself, it was impossible to tell which it was for sure from behind and in the light. The figure moved it's muzzled head off of the others shoulder, looking up with a sparkle in its eyes.

The other partner turned their head to face the other, looking down softly into those pretty, gleaming eyes. Both uttered precisely together the same three words that they had many times, even some on this very spot. Those three words were those that most could throw around easilly, but not these two, there was intense meaning behind them.

Those three words, were 'I love you'.

It took a mere moment to let the deep statement echo on the breeze itself, seeming to surround the beeach itself. The pair became enveloped in a vortex of their own passionate voices. Neither partner seemed to budge for another moment, enjoying that feeling of their closeness and feelings for each other.

With a slow closing, both of the now-shadowy figured leant into each other. A soft noise and a meeting of their lips, a tender show of what each meant to the other. And as the sun finally dropped completely over the horizon line, the two were thrown into the darkness, left in that most loving of embraces and catching one last 'I love you' on the wind.
