Ten Century War
My name is Drake. For centuries, two races have been fighting each other and many died because of this long, hard war. Some didn't want this fight. They would rather we all just got along, then one day I met one person who changed everything. There are two things you should know before I start. Number one: this war, was between Dragons and Humans. Number two: I'm a Dragon. So let me tell you everything I know about all this. This is the story of two unlikely friends, of two brothers, and of fighting. This.... Is my story.
"Alright, So we've got everyone in place?" I ask. "Yeah, everyone's in their position" Max,(a close friend of mine), responds. "Alright, let's go." "ATTACK", I yell to the other dragons with us. And so our raid on the human town begins. Blood,screams,death,fire, everywhere.....
Then, I feel a heavy object hit my wings and wrap around them tight."I can't fly!",I think to myself in a panicked state. I recall crashing through trees, dirt, and a small boulder or two in my crash. The last thing I remember before I black out is,"Why do I always get so cocky on these raids." Then darkness.........
"Ugh, I feel like I crashed into everything, Oh right." I think to myself. As I try to get up and untangle myself from the ropes wrapped around me I feel a sudden shock of pain wrack through my whole body. "Ahhhh !!!" I cry out in pain. "If I move then I risk passing out again." "Even on the ground immobilized at least if I'm awake I can still breath fire at an attacker."
"CRACK.",as a twig breaks from someone stepping on it. "What was that?" I wonder to myself. As the movements get closer I begin to hear talking "Humans?! Well at least I won't go down without a fight." I think as I get ready to fight.
"I still can't believe I managed to catch the Ringleader of the whole Dragon raid system, I mean I caught him... Or her I don't know if it's male or female, not like it matters but still." I realize the human is talking to them-self. And a male human as I distinctly can tell by the deepness of the voice.
"I mean but still I ..... OH MY GOD, it's right there" the human says as he finally finds me. "Oh my god, I can't believe it I'm seriously like two feet from the most dangerous dragon ever and it can't do anything to me. Haha YEAH I DID IT." since the human seems a little too cocky ,like myself so I decide to show him I can still get him with a fire ball if I want. WHOOSH, my fire ball hits the ground right in front of his feet. "WOAH", he shouts as it explodes just inches from him. "I bet you wish your net had wrapped around my muzzle too, so I couldn't have done that, huh?" i say to him while smirking. "Yeah, I kinda do", he replies uncertainly,"but how can I understand you?", he asks me. I sigh and shake my head, "Dragons have the gift of tongues you moron.", I drawl. "No need to be rude, I was just asking a question?". "How 'bout you cut these ropes off and I can ask you a question, with my claws", to emphasise my point I unsheath my claws which make an audible "shcink" as they come out. "Uhhh, no thanks, I kinda like life.", he backs away a bit as he says this. "What's your name human?, I ask while staring at him intently, "I'm Alex.....what about you?", he asks back a bit hesitantly. "I'm Drake, but why do you need to know that?.....Especially since I'm about to kill you." "WHAT!?!", he shouts as I suddenly leap at him, as if the ropes had fallen through my body. I grin viciously at him as I ask him, "Any last words?". "Just one question, why do you fight, Why do I?" Alex asks, "I was just trying to prove I wasn't completely useless." As I ponder his question I idly flex my claws into his chest. "Hmm, ok I'll make a deal with you, you listening?" "My deal is, "I obviously can't fly right now considering my landing broke a lot of stuff." I continue, "But I know some different plants that will heal me much faster than I would naturally, maybe in a month or two instead of a year, if you bring me the plants I need, I won't kill you, deal?" I finish watching him as he thinks about it. "Deal." He says finally.
