Onyx was thrown through a whirlwhind ofswirling lights and dizziness. He felt his body slam something solid and was suddenly on the floor of what looked like the inside of a pyramid. Looking around, he discovered there were torches all around the room, dimly lighting the place. Directly ahead of him about five paces was a squat golden throne, With a dark figure on it. Two green eyes bore into what felt like his very soul, And onyx froze. "Come forth." The voice said, Distinctly female. It was strong and commanding, and seemed to echo with power.
Standing hesitantly, Onyx checked his paw. Still in cub form. Taking a slow step forward, Onyx resisted the Powerful urge to shrink back. Becoming more confident , he took another step. Soon the silhouette of a feline, lounging on the throne, Came into view, Two piercing yellow eyes burning into his. "Oh, dear. Let's get you back to normal, Shall we?" The voice stated. Onyx began to feel back to normal, Growing until he was back to his normal form. Looking at his paws, he yelped. He was dressed in a black Egyptian Toga, Complete with gold sash. Upon his shoulders were armplates. He felt silk touching his Head and reached up, Finding he also wore a headdress.
"Muuuuch better." A tall, Lithe Black feline padded into view, Her footsteps silent. She wore a long white silk dress, with Egyptian hyieroglyph in gold all over it. Bangles and jewels adorned her wrists and ankles, And her eyes seemed to glow. "I, Am bast. Goddess of the cats, And your first of kin. I have watched you grow, onyx. And I must say, I'm impressed." She smiled, her teeth glimmering In the dim torchlight. Gasping, Onyx took a step back. "B-Bast? My...lineage?!" Onyx instantly dropped to his knees, Bowing before the goddess.
She rolled her eyes and tilted his chin upward, motioning for him to stand. Complying shakily, Onyx glanced to baxley. "Patience, all will be revealed." She smiled. "As you may very well know, This world has fallen away from the knowledge Of me, And my brothers and sisters in general. But you, You've got potential. But to know who you really are, You've got to Get down to business. Baxley! Come here!" She ordered, crossing her arms and fixing him with a golden-eyed glare.
The fox stepped past onyx shakily, His clothes morphing themselves into Egyptian armor as he walked. His Dagger formed on his left hip, In a solid gold sheath. Putting her paw on his shoulder, She looked deeply into his eyes. "I want you to go with Onyx. He's going to need your help very soon. And It involves you. I promise you'll find out soon enough. But someone very important to me has asked that you two go through The Trouble to find it all. To find yourselves." She whispered, Looking on the verge of tears. Onyx leaned forward, Trying to pick up what she was saying. But they seemed warped, Obviously some kind of magic.
The cat goddess stepped back, Beginning to fade. "Onyx, I have not the time to explain it all. Take baxley and head to Egypt. There you will find a secret temple in which to meet Ra. He will explain everything, and you'll finally be complete.." She disappeared from view, Her words echoing.
The torches turned gold, Whirling and licking towards onyx and baxley like some kind of demented hellfire. It began to swirl around them, Leaving them unable to see the temple. When The fire cleared, They were standing At the abandoned house that led to onyx's dimension, Dressed in their normal clothes. Looking to baxley, Eyebrows raised, Onyx waited till he had gained his bearings before speaking. "Looks like we're going on an adventure!"
