#3 of Your Average Pokemon Journey, With a Twist

Usual warnings incoming!

Hi there friend, I mean this in a friendly way... If you are younger than 18, go the fu** away, no one wants you except our friendly neighborhood pedies. Though this story isn't dangerous to the minds of the youth just the fact they have access to it already means they're being bad. Also to our lovely Japanese brothers and sister, I don't claim to own Pokemon nor do I wish I did. Lastly, main characters = (c) Me, Jeremiah_Nightwolf.

Thankies again for viewing my nonsense, hope it brings a glint of joy to your life. Happy Yiffing!

The sun was barely in the sky near the eastern mountains. Almost no one except your usual early risers was awake. Small groups of Pidgey were in the trees of the forest flapping their wings to shake away the dew that had formed in the night. All was peaceful and yet with our heroes, there was slight chaos. Jaden and Autumn had been walking already for a solid ten minutes, the video phone in Viridian's Pokecenter had been damaged in a storm so they were off towards Pewter City. Jaden was silent with thought on what had just moments ago transpired. He couldn't shake the feeling that something was very wrong; first there was little Autumn, then Scorch... How many more mutated Pokemon would he come across and who was doing the mutating.

Next to Jaden trotted Autumn, her leaf bobbing left and right as her body shifted. Her usual cheery smile was no where to be seen, replaced by a look of distress. She had her own worries about her. First on her list were the ever present feelings she had for Jaden. Her mind was telling her to forget about them and focus on more important issues but her heart begged to differ. Now she is faced with another troubling situation: more Pokemon are being used as she was. Just the thought of it brought rage and sadness to her already strained heart.

Jaden had just finished going over something in his head when he looked over at Autumn to strike up conversation. The look on her face told him he should remain silent but something in his head blocked out common sense...

"Hey Autumn, are you alright?" Asked a very concerned Jaden.

"What...? Oh, it's nothing Jaden..." Replied Autumn, her mind had been shocked for a moment but slowly drifted back into darkness.

"Don't give me that. Though I don't really know too much about you yet, I can sense something is amiss."

"It's just, everything that has happened in the past couple days just flashed by and it's hard to cope with all of it... I just need time."

"Well if there's anything I can do to help you just say the word." Jaden offered, he hoped this would cheer her up at least a little.

"Really?" She asked, a hint of happiness returning to her face as she looked up at him.

"Yes maim, I'll always be here to help. What kind of friend would I be if my aid wasn't available?" He asked jokingly.

Autumn smiled widely as she faced forward again. Not only did he cheer her up with his offer, he also called himself her friend which was a step up from "trainer." Jaden was still looking down at his companion, a smile of relief on his face. She seemed a bit happier from what he said and that was all he needed. He also couldn't help but notice the cute way her leaf bobbed from side to side. When they first met she was nothing but a Pokemon to him but now, she was starting to grow on him. Jaden was about to say something more to continue the pleasant conversation when a voice sounded loudly from behind him.

"Hey you, I challenge you to a battle!"

"Huh?" Replied Jaden both surprised and amused by the childish sound of the voice.

When he and Autumn had turned to face the person, they both had to muffle hints of laughter. Before them, stood a 3'5" kid with rainbow colored hair wearing clown clothes, his shoes were bright red along with his fake nose and his face was covered in paints ranging from red to yellow. Nothing about him seemed trainer-like at all. The only hints that he was a trainer were the Pokeballs he was juggling around in the air.

"What? Are you two dumb looking and deaf? I said I challenge you to a battle!" Shouted the kid.

"Dumb looking? Haven't looked in the mirror lately have you?" Chuckled Jaden, Autumn was laughing as well.

"Hey just because I have style doesn't mean you can openly act jealous! Besides, I've never seen anything as weird as that thing walking next to you..." Replied the kid with a sneer.

Autumn gasped lightly and looked at the ground. Weird...? Did she really look that bad? Nurse Joy didn't act funny when she saw her, but perhaps she was being considerate... She just couldn't believe she looked that bad. She wasn't vain or anything but... weird? Just then as she continued mulling over the word in her head she was awoken by Jaden shouting loudly.

"Listen up freak, there's nothing weird about her. She is the best Pokemon anyone would ever meet and if you don't take back what you said I'm going to shove my foot so far up your ass, the water on my shoe will quench your thirst!" Threatened Jaden, he'd never been provoked by anyone like that before but for some reason the words flowed out far more naturally than anticipated.

"Big words bitch, lets see you act!" Responded the clown boy as he threw a Pokeball into the air. With a flash of red light there appeared a small yellow figure, it was short and stout and had two arms that were bent up holding hit's head: Psyduck.

Jaden didn't even have a chance to think before Autumn jumped in front of him, she was ready to fight. After hearing Jaden defend her honor so loudly she was inspired, her heart was racing faster than ever before. She then looked back at Jaden and waited for his approval. Jaden saw her face, he knew she was ready. So with a nod he pulled out his Pokedex and aimed it at his opponent.

"Psyduck: The duck Pokemon. This creature uses both water based and psychic based attacks. This Pokemon spends most of it's time holding up its head because of a severe headache. Be warned, the more pain the Psyduck's head experiences, the stronger it's psychic attacks become." Sounded the Pokedex. Jaden replaced the device back to his pocket.

"Autumn, whatever you do, don't hit his head." Jaden ordered.

Autumn nodded and jumped swiftly to avoid a water gun attack. The clown kid kept barking out orders as one water gun after another shot from the Psyduck's bill. Meanwhile Jaden was carefully considering each of the moves Chikorita could perform. Any physical attacks to weaken the opponent could in reverse strengthen Psyduck, so what could he do?

"Jaden, it would be beneficial if you would hurry up and give me a command!" Called out Autumn as she dashed by. A water gun blast nearly missed Jaden by a few inches and the clown kid laughed maniacally.

"Quick, keep dodging his attacks and get as close to him as you can. Then when you're close enough hit him with sweet scent!" Replied Jaden and Autumn nodded her response and made her way closer to Psyduck.

The clown kid had definitely lost his mind by now because all his Psyduck did was shoot water guns. Then without warning the kid yelled out a new command...

"Ice Beam! Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha haaaa!" He yelled and the Psyduck began shooting blue beams of light at the trees Autumn was climbing in.

Autumn nearly fell as she leaped onto a frozen branch and slipped. Luckily her claws dug into the ice just in time to save her from a very long fall. A few more leaps and bounds and she was a few feet from the attacker who was shooting so poorly into the forest that Autumn actually stood in place for a full minute before having to jump to another branch. She then dashed up the length of the tree and jumped out over the Psyduck who barely noticed until it was too late. Autumn had waved her leaf a few times releasing the same vapor as before and the Psyduck merely sighed and placed his hands at his sides in relaxation.

"Ok finish him with a Sleep Powder!" Added Jaden.

Autumn nodded and waved her leaf once again releasing a new bluish mist into the air. Now the Psyduck smiled and fell backwards as it passed out, a loud snore coming from him.

"No damn it! Fine you win this round but my next Pokemon will teach you to pay me some respect!" Yelled the clown kid as he recalled his sleeping Psyduck and threw another ball into the air.

Another flash of light followed and another new form appeared. This one was flying and had a moth-like appearance: Dustox. Jaden again brought out his Pokedex to get a scoop on his new opponent...

"Dustox: the moth Pokemon. This Pokemon is the evolved form of Cascoon. Dustox often are attracted to bright lights so many appear near large cities at night. Its green wings, though beautiful, are covered in a highly toxic poison to ward off predators." Chimed the device before Jaden replaced it to his pocket again.

"Hmm, Autumn I want you to sit this one out. Scorch, show us what you're made of." Jaden said as he threw out his Pokeball. With another dazzling flash of red light, Scorch appeared roaring out a flame. His body was as amazingly colored as ever and it didn't take long for the annoying clown kid to take notice.

"Oh my god what the hell is that?! Where do you find these freaks?!" Howled the kid as he held his stomach and laughed.

"Who you callin' a freak you rainbow colored piece of shit?!" Hollered Scorch as a vein in his forehead began to pulse with fury.

"What the... it talks...? Hmph no matter, my Dustox will put an end to your chatter. Now, use Poison Powder!" Barked the clown kid and the moth creature flew over head spreading a purple mist throughout the air.

"Damn, can't let that powder get to Scorch... Alright use Flamethrower and aim it at the cloud, try to burn the poison before it can reach you!" Ordered Jaden. Scorch immediately blew flames into the mist and the cloud of purple quickly dissipated.

"Now Tackle him before he can react!" Said the clown kid and the Dustox flew straight at Scorch and was closing in fast. Jaden was smart though and had already anticipated such a tactic.

"Wait for him to get close and when I say so jump above him and use Iron Claw! Wait for it... now!" And with that order Scorch leaped into the air just in time to dodge the Dustox. He then slashed fast across the bug's wings, shredding them like tissue paper with his glowing claws.

"No, how can this be..." Gasped the clown kid; he fell to his knees watching his Dustox crash into the ground. His head fell in shame as he raised his hand holding the ball and returned his injured Pokemon to its ball, "How could I lose, it's just not possible... There's no way some kid and his deformed Pokemon could defeat me..."

"Don't underestimate your opponent. Oh, and by the way... Never insult my friends again." Said Jaden as he returned a very satisfied looking Scorch to his ball. Jaden walked over to Autumn and picked her up in his arms. He then turned and walked down the road once again on his way to Pewter City.

"Jaden?" Said Autumn who was nestled in his arms.

"Yes Autumn?"

"Thank you..."

"For what?" Asked Jaden, though he had just won his first battle he was quite calm.

"For defending me like that, it was very nice of you..." She said as her cheeks reddened a bit more than normal.

"You're welcome. When I heard him insult you the way he did, something inside me just clicked on. It was weird and intense; I don't know how to explain it." Replied Jaden. Though he said he couldn't explain it, he knew exactly why he reacted the way he did. Over the past couple days; with everything that was going on... he was beginning to feel for her more and more.

After walking for about three hours Jaden felt as though they were walking in circles. The forest was quiet around them aside from the occasional Beedrill swarm passing over head. He had set Autumn on the ground not too long ago after realizing he couldn't feel his arms anymore. He swung his backpack off his back and around to his front so he could open it. From within he pulled out a bottle of water and a granola bar he'd saved in case of emergency. He noticed a shady spot under a nearby tree so he walked over to it, Autumn following close behind. As he sat down on the grassy forest floor Autumn curled up beside him in a ball. Jaden chuckled to himself as he watched her, she was so cute sometimes.

"Ever think we'll see civilization again Autumn?" Asked Jaden as he took a bite of the granola bar.

"I have no idea... but as long as you're here with me I'm fine." She replied sweetly as she looked up at him and then nuzzled her face into his side.

"Funny... I was just about to say the same thing." He added as he rested his hand on her back eliciting a slight shiver throughout the Chikorita's body. She smiled as her cheeks grew redder, he always had such a tremendous effect on her with just the slightest touch.

Jaden had finished half of the granola and thought for a moment before speaking, "Are you hungry Autumn?"

"I'm fine Jaden, you..." She said before being cut off by her own stomach as a rather loud groan sounded from her belly, "...Alright so maybe I'm a little hungry."

"Here you go then, I'll be alright for a while but after that battle earlier you must be famished." He said as he laid down a handkerchief in front of her with the half granola bar resting on it.

"Are you sure, I'm sure I can..."

"No, this is a direct order from your trainer. Now eat the dang granola." He laughed as he opened the water bottle and drank. Autumn chuckled under her breath before eating the granola bar. She had been extremely hungry but she was too proud to whine about it, especially to Jaden. After the bar was gone, which only took a few seconds due to the level of hunger; Jaden drew out a bowl and poured some water into it.

"After you've finished off this water we'll continue on down this path. I'm willing to bet that Pewter is just a few minutes away." Said Jaden as he leaned back on the tree.

"How do you figure that oh wise master o' mine?" Asked Autumn with a chuckle after lapping up some of the water from the bowl.

"Well smart butt, there's a sign right there that says, 'You are now five minutes from Pewter City, have a great time visiting!' So there." He replied crossing his arms.

"Well that's convenient." Laughed Autumn as she stood up and stretched after finishing off the water. Jaden quickly packed up the bowl and refuse from the perishables before replacing his pack over his shoulders. Autumn then led the way in a run, Jaden following close after her towards Pewter.

Meanwhile, in an underground facility, sensors are picking up the signal of someone very familiar...

"Hey doctor, take a look at this." Said a man in a white lab coat sitting at a computer console.

"What is it this time, you know I'm busy with my worksheets?" Replied another man as he stood up from a nearby desk and walked towards his assistant.

"It seems experiment number one has come within range of our sensors. I'm tracking her now with our satellite."

"Good work, can we get a visual yet?"

"Hold on I just need to pinpoint the signal and get some coordinates... there. Now to punch them into the computer and send the data to the satellite... Done, let's see what has become of our girl." Said the assistant as he and the doctor focused on the screen. After a moment the large view screen over the computer flickered to life and began displaying the earth from afar. The assistant then began zooming the cameras feed closer to the target until a picture of Autumn running along a path in the forest was clearly visible.

"Ah yes, there is our little guinea pig. But who is that kid with her? Could she have been caught?"

"Well doctor there is really only one way to find out. Shall I send them out?"

"No, let's just keep an eye on our little angel. I want to see the extent of her abilities and how well she interacts with humans..."

Back on the path to Pewter...

Jaden had finally caught up with Autumn who had stopped running when she reached the top of a rather steep hill. He was totally out of breath by the time he reached the summit beside her. He placed his hands on his knees as he breathed deeply, trying his best to catch his breath.

"That was a rousing good run... Thanks for stopping." He laughed.

"No problem, I was just admiring the view of the city." She replied. Jaden looked up and out towards Pewter City. There was a large residential area with colorful houses and cars lining the streets. A few blocks down from there was a rather small commercial area, at least when compared to bigger cities like Saffron or Celadon. As he looked further he could see a few construction projects, a large park area and near the edge of the park stood the official Pewter Pokemon Gym.

"I have a feeling a lot is going to transpire while we're here." Said Jaden as he continued staring off toward the city.

"Why do you say that?" Replied Autumn.

"I don't know, just a gut feeling I guess. Like, something weird is going to happen any minute..." Just as he finished his sentence the clown kid from earlier past by on a rather tall unicycle.

"I'll get you back for what you did, I promise you!" He yelled as he began to speed up because of the decline. He then screamed at the top of his lungs all the way to the bottom, or at least until he hit something solid causing a loud bang.
