This is a story of my fursona, Tristan, and his mate, Michelle, just enjoying the weekend together. This is just a short story to keep me in the habit of writing. It's been hard lately, but I'm making it. Anyways, if you like the story or have any suggestions, feel free to leave a comment. If you like this, I'll probably be writing more short stories with these two, and other short stories to keep writing. Thanks for the support by reading my story! Hope to be posting more and getting my two big stories worked on and more chapters posted. If you like this, give my other stories a look, too. Ok, that's it, enjoy the story, and thanks for reading it!

Day Off

Tristan smiled, as Michelle leaned against him, both lying on their leather couch. They were watching one of Tristan's many superhero movies together. Michelle made a soft sound and buried more of her face against the German shepherd's shoulder. He felt her arms squeeze him gently. His muzzle lowered and he kissed the top of the husky's head. She smelled of lavender, one of her favorite perfumes, knowing he loved it. Tristan hugged his mate closely, sighing contently. Today was Saturday, and they both had the day off. Since Michelle worked most nights, bartending at Underworld, and he worked the evening shift at the hospital, they didn't get to spend most evenings together. Tristan would usually make it home not too late in the night, but Michelle was usually already gone, her shift starting at the club's opening around 7 p.m. and not returning until 3 a.m. By the time she got home and slipped into bed, the shepherd would be fast asleep. Likewise, the husky would usually be asleep when Tristan woke. She would always wake to kiss him good-bye, but then return to sleep. The weekend was the only time they could spend any real quality time together. They would usually sleep in, enjoying the warmth shared, snuggling all morning, then wake and not do much of anything. Today, their plan was to relax all afternoon, go out to eat for dinner, and do a little book shopping.

As the credits of the movie rolled, Tristan stretched. "You ready to go eat, sweetie?" He couldn't move until she let him up. Michelle yawned.

"Sure, I'll start getting ready." She kissed him quickly, and then headed upstairs to their room. Tristan grinned, watching her black, fluffy tail swish behind her. He stood and stretched again, making a weird sound somewhere between a yawn and a roar. The shepherd picked up the remote he had placed on the floor. He pressed a button and the room filled with blues music. Well, the whole house with blues music. Tristan knew it would take forever for Michelle to get ready. So, he just wandered around the living room, enjoying the music. After about a song and a half, Michelle called down to him.

"C'mon! I'm just about ready. Get your tail up here and get dressed!"

"Yes, dear," Tristan said coming up the stairs. Entering their bedroom, he saw Michelle putting in some earrings. She smiled at him. The husky had changed into some slim jeans and was wearing a dark red V-neck shirt. The shirt brought out her gorgeous blue eyes. Tristan couldn't help but admire her cleavage. His eyes focused on her white-furred chest. She noticed, too.

"It's not like you haven't seen them before."

Tristan blushed slightly. "Well, yeah, but that doesn't mean I can't admire them still."

"You are such a male!"

"Uh, yeah, we both know that. What? Would you want a female? I'm ok with that as long as I can at least watch."

Michelle shook her head. "No, sweetheart, I only want you," she kissed him again, "even if your testosterone is way too high."

"Good! It should be!" Tristan called over his shoulder, taking his shirt off. He dug through his closet looking for a better one. Michelle looked over her shoulder at her mate. Along his back, where the black fur met tan fur, the black curled and twisted, resembling a tangle of thorns. The design followed his spine, decorating his back. A moment later and he had found what he was looking for. The shepherd grabbed a black button up shirt and quickly tucked it in his jeans and rolled the sleeves up. He went into their bathroom and sprayed some cologne on. Michelle was looking over herself in the mirror, applying some light make-up. Tristan snuck up behind her, grabbing her around the waist and kissing her neck. She murred, rubbing his head.

"Whose car are we taking?" The husky asked.

"I'll drive."

Michelle nodded, grabbing her purse. She and Tristan made their way to the garage and got in his Camaro. Backing it out, Tristan drove down their driveway and headed downtown.

"I'll have the 10 oz. rib eye, medium, with the loaded mashed potatoes and a Caesar salad," Tristan told the skunk taking their order. The waiter took his menu and looked at Michelle.

"I'll have the burger bites with fries," she told him. The waiter nodded and left. Tristan sucked down his entire glass of raspberry tea almost instantly. He ate another piece of their buffalo wing appetizer. Michelle giggled. "I don't know how you drink tea that fast."

"It's good," was his answer. The shepherd started playing with his straw wrapper. The couple was at one of their favorite restaurants. Being a weekend night, the place was packed with hungry furs.

"I swear! I can't take you anywhere!" Michelle laughed. "Stop acting like you're thirteen!" Tristan smirked, wadding the paper up and throwing it at her.

The husky flattened her ears. "Do you want me to spank you, in front of all these furs? I'll do it."

"I'd love to see you try!"

Michelle laughed and threw the paper back at him. "Puppy!"

Tristan stuck his tongue out at her. The husky was about to say something, but their waiter had returned with their food. As soon as the shepherd's steak had been set in front of him, he set to work on it. Michelle watched him in amusement. He always wolfed his food down, never taking time to enjoy it. She grinned, taking a bite of her mini-burger. Suddenly, her mate stopped.

"They forgot my salad!" He frowned slightly.

"Don't worry, we'll tell them to get it when our waiter comes back."

Tristan shrugged, and continued eating his steak. Moments later it was gone, and he was working on his mashed potatoes. Michelle took her time, nibbling on her food. Unlike her mate, she liked to savor good food and take her time. They were able to chat some before the skunk returned with refills of their drinks. Tristan told him about his salad, making the young fur apologize multiple times. "It's ok," Tristan assured him, "just bring it in a to-go box with our check." He laughed. "Relax; it's not affecting your tip." The skunk smiled and thanked him, rushing back to the kitchen. Michelle and Tristan enjoyed the rest of their meal, paying the check and taking their left-overs with them. After leaving the restaurant, Tristan took them to a nearby bookstore.

Entering the bookstore, a display with the newest best-selling romance series, stood before them. Tristan chuckled. Everyone knew it was filled with BDSM material.

"I suppose you want the box set?", he asked Michelle.

"Of course, you know bondage turns me on," the husky said, sticking her tongue out. "Besides, you want to read it more than me."

"What? No! It's totally not my genre." He cocked an ear down, "Although, I am kind of curious."

The husky turned to him. "Oh? Want me to tie you to the bed tonight then?"

Tristan smiled, "Yes, please!"

Michelle covered her face with her paw. "We're in a bookstore!"

"It's not my fault! The store is the one that put BDSM erotica on front door display."

"C'mon! Keep yourself controlled, dear."

"Fine!" Tristan followed the husky to the romance section. While Michelle looked for a story to keep her entertained, Tristan made fun of the stories. In his defense, he didn't mind the genre; he just liked to pull his mate's chain. It was ok; she'd get him back when they were looking at fantasy and sci-fi. Michelle called out to him.

"What do you think of this one?" she held up a book with the cover art depicting a very attractive vixen with her arms wrapped around a naked dragon, her hands strategically placed over his crotch. The title was Dragonflame, or something just as horrible.

"I think porn." He smirked at her, as she started laughing. "I mean, seriously, whatever the plot is, she's totally banging him."

"Duh, that's the point, dear."

"I guess. Whatever, I still like my fantasy better."

Michelle grabbed him and kissed his cheek. "Of course, you do." She smiled.

Next, the couple went to the sci-fi/fantasy section, and Michelle watched her mate stare at the wall of books. The husky giggled, seeing him pick up books, read the back, nod, and then replace it. After at least twenty, books, she finally asked, "Are you ever going to actually buy any of these?"

"Eventually."

"You're such an idiot."

"I love you, too." Tristan stuck his tongue out, continuing to examine books.

Michelle took the shepherd in her arms, murring into his neck. "Can we go yet? I'm ready to go home."

Tristan smiled, "Sure, let's go. I have a game to play anyway."

**********************************

Tristan turned on his Playstation almost as soon as he walked inside their house. He sat back on his couch, propping his feet up on his coffee table and getting comfy. The shepherd yawned loudly, waiting on the latest horror game to load. "What was I doing on here?" he asked aloud, loading his save file.

"You had just fought that boss, remember, the big spider thingy? The one that made you scream like a little girl, and after you beat it you took, like a ten minute break and downed half a bottle of Jack."

Tristan looked at her, lowering his ears. "That's not true. It was more like a third of Jack, thank you. I'm not an alcoholic."

"Yet, you fell in love with a bartender."

"A beautiful bartender with the best tail I've ever seen. Plus, she has gorgeous eyes."

"Aw, thank you. Now play the game." Michelle snuggled up next to Tristan on the couch; laying her head on his shoulder and watching him play. The shepherd sighed happily, beginning to play his game. His character explored a creepy town, looking for anything useful as monsters lurked, unseen, waiting to attack him. Tristan ran into a few and took some damage fighting them. Soon, he came to an important looking door in one of the buildings. He knew he had to open it, but he also knew something bad was going to happen when he did. His character just stood in front of it, waiting.

"Open the door!" Michelle cried.

"No!"

"Why not?"

"Because I only have one shotgun shell, and maybe a full clip of handgun ammo, and there's probably a really bad monster in that room."

"Quit being a girl and open it!"

"Fine, I'm going!" His character opened the door, stepping into a scary room, with flickering lights. On the other side of the room, something glimmered. Tristan inhaled, moving toward the object. His character picked it up. Tristan cheered. It was a key he needed. Just then, there was a loud noise, and a horrible monster dropped through the roof. Both Tristan and Michelle jumped.

"Shoot it! Shoot it!" She screamed.

"I am!" Tristan's character shot it with a shotgun, and it flinched. His character switched to the handgun and fired repeatedly, as Tristan kept hitting the shoot button. "Die!" He screamed at the TV. There was a clicking noise, as Tristan realized he was out of ammo. The evil creature moved towards his character. Tristan screamed more, as his character ran out of the building. "Not good, not good, not good," the shepherd muttered, looking for ammo. There was a crash, and the monster followed him outside. "Worse!"

Michelle laughed at her mate's peril, scared by his characters predicament, but amused by Tristan's reactions. "Run!" She told him.

"I am!" Tristan screamed again, as the monster managed to hurt his character with a giant claw. "My health! That's not fair!" The character now moved with a limp and was holding his shoulder. The creature swung its claw towards the character again and a button flashed onscreen. Tristan hit the button too late and watched his character impaled by the monster's claws. The screen turned red, and "Game Over" was displayed in brighter red, dripping as if it were written in blood. Tristan howled. "Dammit!"

Michelle giggled. Her mate took these games way too seriously, but that's what made it so amusing. She also actually did enjoy the story of the game. With Tristan playing, she never knew what was going to happen. In a way, she was more into the game than he was. She nuzzled his neck. "Going to try again?"

Tristan sighed. "No, I can't beat him right now. I need to walk away." He turned his system off. "Thanks to that thing, I won't be sleeping tonight."

"Lie! You sleep like a pup every night, scary game or not."

"I may have nightmares."

"Then I'll chase them off." She kissed Tristan, letting her lips linger against his. He kissed her back, pushing his tongue against her mouth. Then they were holding each other tightly, kissing, on the couch. After several minutes, they stopped, both panting. Tristan had pulled Michelle on top of him and was staring up at her. She licked his nose. "Bedtime?"

"Bedtime." The shepherd agreed. Michelle let him up and led him upstairs to the bedroom. The husky immediately went into their bathroom to change. Tristan just slipped off his clothes, throwing them to the floor, leaving only his boxers. He slipped into bed and waited for his mate. When Michelle came out, she was in her underwear, too, both canines preferring to sleep in their underclothes. She saw his clothes and glared at him.

"Seriously? On the floor?"

"I'll get them in the morning."

Michelle got into bed and pulled the covers tight. Tristan instantly pulled her close, locking her in a kiss. Her paws went to his back, rubbing and kneading his fur as they kissed. The shepherd felt her squeeze the base of his tail, sending a shiver up his back. He murred, exploring his mate's neck with his lips. Michelle squeezed him tighter against herself, enjoying the shepherd's tongue against her fur. The husky also felt him fondling her breasts. As Tristan's kisses moved lower, so did his paws, which were now around her panties. In another moment, they were inside them, feeling the husky's folds. Michelle couldn't help but murr, enjoying her lover's sensual touching. Without feeling him, she knew Tristan was aroused. Slowly, the shepherd began pulling her panties down. Michelle stopped him. "Not tonight, hun." Tristan whined. Michelle started kissing him again, pressing herself against him. "We have all of tomorrow," she whispered in his ear, gently squeezing the bulge in his boxers. Before the shepherd could dwell on it, she kissed him, forcing her tongue into his mouth. Tristan couldn't focus on anything other than his mate's passionate kissing and the feel of her body against his. The canines held each other, kissing, for several minutes under the warm blankets. Finally, they broke it, and settled in for the night.

Michelle sighed, curling up comfortably. She felt Tristan snuggle up beside her, wrapping his arms around her body, and his tail around her legs. The shepherd's breath fell on her neck. He kissed her neck. "Good night, love you."

She murred, rubbing his leg. "Night, love you, too."

Both furs fell asleep, their bodies pressed warmly together, as the moonlight fell through the bedroom skylight.
