Chapter 15: Final confrontation
#15 of Spyro: Light shall triumph
In my last chapter Cynder and Naomi had the day to them selves. So they decided to walk about and talk. When they got to Spyro and Cynders favourite little patch they laid down for awhile. Then Naomi revealed she was pregnant and was nervous about telling Galinoth. After some convincing from Cynder, Naomi was going to tell Galinoth the good news. The next day Galinoth had told them he had found something. When they others went to look they were amazed at what they saw.
Chapter 15: Final confrontation
"What is that?" Cynder asked. She was clearly in awe at the sight.
"I don't know." Naomi replied.
By know the thing had landed in the ocean. Everyone could finally see the beauty of the construct.
"It's a city ship!" Naomi said. The awe in her voice had grown considerably.
(The city ship is similar to the one from Stargate Atlantis)
"A city ship?" Volteer asked.
"It's a ship that my people used to colonize worlds before the great betrayal, the ship is the size of a large city and can support up to 100'000 thousand people." Naomi replied.
"How many of these things are there?" Spyro asked.
"They were thought to be destroyed during the great betrayal, this is a find of a lifetime!" Naomi exclaimed.
"Is it possible to have a look inside?" Volteer asked.
"Why of course." Came Galinoth's voice. "Let me just lower the shield."
With what sounded like a creature roaring, the orange dome that encompassed the city ship began to disappear. When it fully disappeared the others were told they can come and have a look. It wasn't until they got very close when they realised how big the ship was.
"It's huge!" Cynder exclaimed.
"Oh trust me you haven't seen nothing yet." Galinoth said. His voice was loud; Spyro figured that he was inside the city ship. Galinoth had told them where to land and what route to take to find him. It took them an hour of wandering around what seemed like endless corridors but they finally found Galinoth laid back in what seemed like a glowing chair.
"You found me; I'll just be a minute." Galinoth said.
"What are you doing?" Ignitus asked.
"I'm checking all the ships systems to see if there is any damage." Galinoth replied.
"How can you do that without a terminal?" Naomi asked.
"This is an ancient piece of technology that is at least 70,000 years old, this chair im in allows me to interface with the ships systems and lets me find almost anything wrong within the ship." Galinoth replied.
"How did you get it here then?" Cyril asked.
"This chair also allows me to pilot the ship." Galinoth replied.
"This is a wondrous creation." Volteer said.
Just then Galinoth's face turned serious and he closed his eyes. Then a robotic voice came over the intercom.
"Initiating scan." The voice said.
"What are you doing?" Cynder asked.
"I sensed a presence, im scanning the city to see if its here." Galinoth replied.
Then an alarm began blaring.
"INTRUDER ALERT, INTRUDER ALERT."
"What is happening?" Terrador asked.
"There is something here that isn't supposed to be." Galinoth replied.
"Can you find the intruder?" Cyril asked.
"Just give me a second......" Galinoth said as he began to locate the intruder.
The robotic voice came back.
"Intruder is in the research facility on deck 24." The voice said.
"Download co-ordinates into transporter bay and lock on to the life signs in the chair interface room and transport to target on my mark."
"Everyone ready to go?" Galinoth asked.
"Always." Spyro replied.
With a smile Galinoth ordered the transport.
"Mark." Galinoth said.
With a flash of bright white light Spyro, Naomi, Cynder and Galinoth went to confront the intruder.
Meanwhile in the re-search labs....
The intruder was scouting out the new vessel.
"I could use this ship as my new fortress." The figure said.
Then searing light appeared in front of him and four figures appeared.
"It's the Dark master!" Spyro Shouted.
"Well, this is unexpected." The Dark master said.
"HOE DARE YOU DESECRATE THIS HOLY CITY!" Galinoth bellowed. He charged straight at the Dark master. The blow sent him reeling and the ferocity was even worse then when the blood fury had taken hold.
"Has his condition taken hold again?" Cynder stuttered.
"No it hasn't." Naomi replied.
"Then how is he so strong?" Spyro asked.
Then it hit Naomi like a ton of bricks.
"He is so strong because this holy place has been desecrated, his righteous fury will no know bounds!" Naomi shouted.
"Righteous fury?" Spyro asked.
"It occurs when an intruder enters a holy place, this city for example; the Dark master has invaded this city, Galinoth was here and his anger at this desecration shall know no bounds." Naomi answered
"I see." Cynder said.
By now the Dark master was fighting back, unsuccessfully. Galinoth's fury had built up until he could hold it no more. He was a force to be reckoned with. His blows were lightning fast and as hard as a ton of bricks. Each blow finding purchase upon the Dark master and causing tremendous pain.
"RRRRRROOOOOOAAAAAARRRRRR!!!!!" The Dark master let an almighty roar out as his dark powers increased his strength to unimaginable levels which now rivalled Galinoth's. Galinoth was been pushed back by this sudden attack.
"I shall kill you now Galinoth!" The Dark master bellowed.
"I'd like to see you try!" Galinoth retorted.
They were exchanging blows left and right. Neither of them was gaining an advantage. They began to circle on another waiting for an opening. With lightning speed the Dark master used his tail like a spear and plunged it through Galinoth's Shoulder. Then the Dark master pulled the struggling form of Galinoth closer to his face.
"Now I kill you." The Dark master whispered.
The Dark master began to raise his front paws which had razor sharp talons on the end for the killing blow. With frightening speed he slashed his claws across Galinoth's chest and watched the life drain out of his eyes.
"NNNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOO!" Naomi bellowed.
"Now its time to finish what I started!" The Dark master bellowed
The fight was short but bloody. The Dark master was triumphant but at a cost. There were wounds that would take time to heal. Spyro, Naomi and Cynder were on the floor, bloody and tired.
"Time to die!" The Dark master bellowed.
Just as he was about to land the killing blow a lance of pure white light smashed into his side and sent him skidding across the floor. He looked up to see where the blow had come from and was shocked to see where it came from.
"But I killed you!" The Dark master bellowed.
"You cannot kill me." Galinoth replied. But his voice was different. It was his voice but at the same time it wasn't.
"What is happening?" Cynder asked meekly.
"The spirit of the great one is within him." Naomi replied.
Just then the Dark master unleashed a flurry of dark energy bolts at Galinoth. Each bolt stopped just before Galinoth and disappeared without a trace.
"How did you do that?" The Dark master asked. Fear was beginning to creep its way into his voice.
"I AM AN ANGEL OF DEATH!" Galinoth bellowed.
Without warning Rays of light erupted from Galinoth's hand and struck the Dark master in the heart. When the Barrage stopped The Dark master slumped to the floor, dead.
"He killed the Dark master!" Cynder exclaimed.
As soon as Cynder finished talking they heard a crump and noticed that Galinoth had collapsed.
"GALINOTH!" Naomi screeched.
That's chapter 15!
Im afraid to say this but chapter 16 is the last one in the series.
