Silver stood in the bathroom staring at his reflection in the mirror, though he wasn't paying attention to it. He was conflicted. He was feeling strange and couldn't understand what it was. When he closed his eyes the first thing that popped into his head was his new friends smile, and when he thought of his friend he felt all warm and happy. He wasn't sure if it was just how friends feel of if it was something else. He had just met him! Why did he feel this way? He didn't understand.

He sighed and shook his head. Sky would find it strange if he stayed in the bathroom any longer, and he couldn't think of any way to explain it to him. So he gathered his thoughts and walked out the door.

He saw the human jump when he came out. He was obviously thinking or daydreaming, he just gave Silver an embarrassed smile that made his heart jump; he unintentionally blushed and smiled back. Sky then helped him back to his room and sat him on his bed,

"Thanks."

Silver said as he examined the room in more detail. He noticed a strange object in the corner, it was thin and had a black screen, with a wire connected to it running into the wall. He couldn't figure for the life of him what it was supposed to be. Sky noticed his intense staring and stated,

"That's a TV; you use it to watch programmes and play games, look I'll show you."

Silver watched intently as he got up and grabbed a strange rectangular object off his desk and pointed at the "TV". He gasped in amazement as it sprung to life and there were little people inside it! They were moving and talking like normal people but they were smaller and reacted to the strange object Sky had. Silver sprung up and went over to the magic box to talk to the people but they didn't answer.

"Hello, little people! My name is Silver. Hello? Can you hear me?"

"Silver." Sky interrupted giggling. "They can't hear you, they aren't real, well they are but its recorded, so it's just showing what they did when they recorded it."

"So they aren't little humans trapped inside this box?" He asked. Sky just burst out laughing. Silver blushed heavily, he felt stupid. He did however get to see him laugh which he found adorable, and he was quite happy he made someone else happy; especially his friend.

He finally calmed down and apologized for laughing at his ignorance of human ways. "At least you're feeling better, well enough to leap toward the TV!" Silver noticed this and laughed too. To make up for laughing at him Sky showed him his PS3 and told him what it was and how to use it.

"So it's called a PS3, and it's used to play games."

He summarised, his friend nodded and gave him a demonstration of how it works, he was still startled how the screen suddenly shoots to life, and he thought it was magic but his human friend had told him it was technology or something like that. He didn't really care how it worked he just liked watching what the little people do. He had come too really like a show called "Friends" as it was about a group of friends and what their lives. They got into lots of trouble and Silver laughed almost all the way through!

Sky was amused by the dragon's reactions to everything on the TV, he found it cute and it was nice to tell him about things in his life. Although he didn't have the heart to tell him that the people on "Friends" weren't actually friends and it was just staged by actors. He would miss that cute, dragon laugh if he told him anyway, and he didn't want to miss that; it was adorable! He began showing him the PS3 and the game "Grand theft auto" and he was delighted to see more of the "little people" as he referred to them.

Sky had to talk him through the difference of TV and videogames when someone killed his character and he got really upset. It was really cute but he felt really embarrassed afterward because he had nearly started to cry over a fictional characters death. Sky thought it was really nice how he cared for them, even though he didn't actually know them.

To avoid upsetting him again he swapped to a friendlier game, "Little big Planet" and showed his friend how to play. He enjoyed it lots as it was a lot happier and less violent that the other game and they both played it for hours, solving puzzles and helping each other out when they got stuck. It was great. Silver was great. Sky wanted to stay here forever with him and he wouldn't regret a second of it. He was the greatest, kindest and cutest being he had ever known and he was lucky to have met him. He meant a lot to him and he thought of him as a very special friend despite there short time together.

But apparently the universe had other plans as Sky heard his uncle stumble through the door and it sounded as he headed toward his room! Sky franticly paused the game and Silver gave him a disappointed look but Sky didn't have time!

"My uncles back! Quick hide in the closet!"

Silver protested but was quickly shoved into the closet. He only just fit but it was cramped and uncomfortable, he did what he was told however. He didn't want to get his friend in trouble, especially when he was this worried.

It was very dark and he couldn't see anything but he stayed silent. He could here Sky's uncle stumbling up the stairs and burst into his room. Silver's heart nearly leapt out of his chest! He could hear the talking, well Sky was talking his uncle was shouting and stumbling around. He heard a loud smash and then the door slammed shut. He immediately stormed out the closet and saw his friend, the one he cared for so much, lying on the floor with glass stuck in his arm and blood gushing out.

Sky looked up, tears streaming down his face and saw his friend, standing there with tears in his eyes looking upon him. He hated to see his friend crying, so he tried his best to smile through the pain so he thought he was fine. That only made him cry more. He suddenly bent down and carefully picked him up, he didn't realise how strong Silver was, he lifted him as easily as he would lift up a shopping bag!

He then, being cautious about his wretched uncle quietly snuck him into the bathroom and gently propped him up against a wall. Sky had never seen him like this, it's as if all the happiness has gone, only sadness left, He was silent. He caught a glimpse of the dragon's eyes and saw the golden wonders were now puffy, red and empty. It broke his heart to see him like this. So he had to do something.

Silver felt so sad he could die, to see his only friend like this, injured and crying tore him up. He wouldn't let it happen again, he swore on it.

"If that man every injures him again, I'll tear him to pieces!"

He repeated that over and over again in his head. Suddenly his thoughts were interrupted by a voice, a sad, tearful voice coming from the corner of the room.

"Don't be sad... please don't be sad Silver. It's horrible to see you this way."

He turned as he heard this to see his friend, crying more now. Not because of the pain, not because of his horrible uncle but because....because of him. That snapped something inside of him and he realised what he was doing. His tears started pouring out like a flash flood. What was he doing!?

"I'm sorry Sky, I'm sorry..." He repeated several times until he felt something strange, he opened his eyes to see Sky hugging him and trying his very best not to cry.

"It's ok..."

He whispered and then Silver hugged him back, a special kind of hug that only true friends can have. This filled his heart with nothing but happiness. He didn't feel sad anymore because his friend...His special friend will always be there with him....

"Let's get you cleaned up Sky."

He said with a slightly happier tone. He said as Sky looked up at him, the spark in his eyes was back and burning brightly. This caused a big smile to sweep across his face.

"OK...Then we can go see what the little people are doing." He replied.

"Yeah..."
