Well I looked back and felt that the first story needed a little work as i rushed it :P and I ended up re-writing the entire thing! So enjoy! And I'll be working on the next chapter soon! Thanks for reading! Oh and before I forget credit to artist of pic ^-^

PS Sorry if there are spelling errors, its like 2am so im a bit tired. If you seen any please point them out in comments! Thanks! Oh and I'll still keep the first one up as well! :)

The Elemental Stone. The source of all dragons prowess and a mystic artifact as old as time itself. No one knows what it's made of or how it was even made. It's just always been there. No one dares tamper with it, even the most hardened criminal would stay well away from stealing it, for fear of the repercussions. So no attempts of stealing of have been made.... yet.

Silver awoke suddenly, he felt very sweaty and anxious. He could hear screams emanating from a nearby area that was very familiar to him. The more seconds that passed made him certain of the location. Terror struck him like a mallet as he realized the urgency of this situation.

"Oh shit the E-"

He didn't even finish his own sentence as he grabbed his clothes from nearby and threw them on as fast as possible then bolted out his bedroom window. The air was freezing but he payed no attention as he flew nearer and nearer to the source of the screams and his destination, The Shrine of the Elemental Crystal.

Silver is a 15 years old and is a fairly ordinary dragon; he is 5ft 4 with a well sculpted body covered in hard, shiny scales. His body stature is similar to an athlete. He has a scruffy, spiky mane of black hair encircling his horns. There is a distinctive, jagged skin pattern running down his neck all the way to the tip of his tail that is a deep shade of blue, and eyes that are a beautiful shade of gold.

There was one thing however that made him stand out from all the other dragon's, his scaled body was coloured a glistening silver, which was unheard of throughout dragonic history. His birth therefore was a rather shocking day and everyone was scared of what it meant. From that day Silver was shunned by all the other dragons, they were scared of and treated him like a stranger, even though he was just like them.

Earlier that day he had got up and did his usually morning routine. He lived alone because of his mother dying at an early age. Silver loved his mum and was devastated when she passed away, he was only 4 but it caused a lot of problems and he ended up closing his heart to everyone else, although they weren't exactly jumping at the chance to help him. It made him really mad that everyone treated him differently because he was different. He walked out the door and flew off to school.

Silver was flying as fast as his wings would let him, torrents of night winds streaming past him trying to slow him as he was tracking the location of the screams, faster and faster he flapped his wings brushing off the harsh night air that struck him like sharp, icy blades as he neared his destination and his fears were realised...

Silver had chosen to wear some tight blue jeans and a black shirt with three golden triangles in the centre. He also had a gold ring around his horn, sort of like an earring. He slowed and began to descend as he reached his school. School was dull and he hated it. Everyone there just gave him weird looks and totally ignored him. Once someone had tried to talk with him but before he could say anything they ran off shaking. Why were they so afraid of him? What did he do to them?

He chose not to think about it and just went through the motions, listen, make notes and say nothing. Lunch time was the best time for Silver because he could go sit in his favourite spot; it was just infront of the Elemental Shrine.

The shrine was on a high cliff above town and near the edge was a tree that Silver liked to sit in. He spent a lot of time there, admiring the view it gave him of the entire town, not to mention the great view of the shrine. The shrine withheld the Elemental stone, a sacred treasure to dragons and it plays an important role in a dragon's life. When a hatchling reaches 5 years of age. They are taken to the stone and it will decide what elemental prowess they shall receive. Most common are fire and water, less common are earth and ice, much rarer are prowess like lightning ect.

Silver was gifted the power of wind; a mighty power that few ever obtain and almost as uncommon as his shiny sliver scales. He however didn't see it as much of a blessing; it only decreased his chances of ever being a normal dragon.

Silver liked the view from his favourite spot but that wasn't his only motive for staying there. He wanted to catch a glimpse of the Elemental Crystal, or Elemental stone as he has overheard people calling it recently. But to no avail, it confused him why he couldn't remember what it looked like, but then again he had noticed that nobody seemed to know what actually looked like, no one seemed to be able to remember which struck him as odd, but he wrote it off as simply being that they were too young to remember it.

Although he had heard rumours about its appearance, it had been described as colourless yet contained every colour known to dragon kind. This intrigued Silver and further fuelled his desire to see it for himself and prove the gossip to be either true of false.

He had drawn very close to the shrine and slowly descended onto the base of it, he then proceeded to sprint as fast as he could up a fight of beautifully crafted marble stairs and stumbled into a gruesome scene that caused his stomach to lurch at the sight of it; At least one-hundred of his kin, lying there in a pool of steadily growing blood...motionless. There were so many, of many different ages, he even recognised some from his class.

Both sadness and anger welled within him as he bellowed.

"Who could have done such a thing!?"

He mourned their untimely passing. Although none of them were his friends of loved ones it still saddened him that so many of his kin were killed mercilessly. He wondered who would have done this, and why. What reason could they possibly have to justify this!? Just then a deep, emotionless voice broke through his frantic thoughts.

"I believe your looking for me."

Silver turned, fire blazing in his eyes and anger clearly prominent in his voice,

"WHY!? WHAT REASON COULD YOU HAVE TO DO SUCH A VILLAINESS THING!?"

He demanded to know why anyone would murder so many innocent lives! The dark figure stepped forward, unfazed by the dragon's words and gazed upon him fiercely as he simply replied,

"For the stone."

Before Silver could even reply to the murderous scum in front of him, the figure opened his mouth and surrounded him in a forest of black flames. The flames were the colour of pure darkness and he could feel them burning his body, using it to fuel their unquenchable thirst. He cried out in pain,

"Y-you bastard!"

The figured chuckled at his outburst and opened his mouth again to intensify the already raging flames. Silver cried out even louder, if felt as if it was burning his soul. The worst part though was that the stranger seemed to enjoy the pain he was delivering to him. This boosted his hatred for him. He quickly swung his winds forward repeatedly activating his wind element but to no avail.

The strange flames were totally unfazed by his mighty gale. If it was fire it should have been easily extinguished by his gale, so what was it? And who is this powerful stranger! He knew he probably wasn't going to survive to get those questions answered, he could feel his life force slipping away as he accepted his fate.

A voice burst from deep within his mind and shouted at him,

"No! You can't let it end like this! GET UP NOW DAMMIT!"

Silver was startled by this, but he seriously didn't know what he could do in this situation. He could barely move as it is and it was clear he was no match for the mysterious power this stranger possesses. Even his legendary wind element was useless. The only thing he could do was wish for someone to save his life and hope it came true. So he did. He wished really hard and didn't give up hope.

He could feel his body giving away but he refused to give in. Just when all seemed lost and he was moments away from passing out when a mysterious light appeared from nowhere and washed over him, causing the flames to instantly dissipate. His screaming muscles were relieved of further pain and he was thankful for it. He wanted to find out who had extinguished the flames and saved his life. But his body finally gave in as the pain became too much to handle. He felt something soft below him, like a bed, warm and safe. This feeling enveloped his entire being and a brief smile formed on his lips and he slowly drifted out of consciousness...
