The fall and rise of a hero by Raven fox; An anthro male fox from 1943 ends up in the present. He crush on a female German fighter pilot gets him trouble with politics. He ends up as a mercenary of a rebel nation. Troubles happen at a nation, but a friend convinces him for his help. I know the Me-262 didn't show up till late 1944, but this work is fiction.

England at a US army air corps base 1943

Zach walks out of the briefing room with his wingmen. It's early in the morning, the anthro fox looks at the early mist on the ground. He walks to his fighter, a P-38J Lighting. The fighter is a twin boom construction powered by twin engines. Zach's Lighting is an experimental one. Instead of the twin Allison engines, it has twin Rolls Royce Merlin engines. He grinned at the sight of his fighter as he walked up to it checking on it. Zach ran his hand under the nose area looking at the five guns sticking out of the nose.

"Zach, a German pilot says that getting nailed by those guns, feels like sitting in a car getting hit by a train." Said a blonde hair human, looking at the guns.

"He was in a car that got hit?" Asked Zach with curious tone in his voice.

"I don't know, Zach. That's what he said when he was being taken to the POW camp. What are the chances of us running into your nemesis?" Asked the human Gary.

"We're going to escort a group of B-17s into Berlin. Good chance we might run into him." Said Zach with concern in his voice. He looked at Gary with a serious look. "If we run into that ace, dive and let me handle him. This guy is a pro, he's shot me down once in the channel. He also put a two hundred rounds in my plane, I barely made back to England. This is my third fighter. My first one is at the bottom of the channel and the other was a write off."

"Did you ever shot him down?" Asked Gary.

Zach nodded. "Yes, I shot him down once and damaged his fighter twice. He has a special place in his heart for me. Some how he has our radio frequencies, he calls me by name and taunts me."

"So this German pilot wants you as a kill." Gary looking at Zach.

Zach grinned at his wingman. "The German Luftwaffe has a price on my head and that pilot has every intention of collecting it."

Gary looked at Zach with a worried look. "Do they know you're an anthro?"

Zach nodded at Gary. "Yes they do. That pilot calls on the radio, I am coming to get you foxy and you're going to be my trophy." He finishes checking his fighter and climbs in it.

In route to Berlin, later that day.

Zach looks at the formation of B-17s below his fighter. He squirms around to get more comfortable. Zach looks around for any sign of enemy fighters. He knew in a few minutes the flack will start. "Man, it's to quiet. They are up to something."

"Hey Zach, long time no see. I missed you, plus the games we play in the air. Do you feel like playing?" A voice said on his radio, Zach's blood chills. He looks around outside his fighter.

"Who's on the radio circuit? You broke radio silence, you idiot." Said the pilot of the lead bomber.

"I am not a Yankee dog, human. I am a professional pilot who wants to play with a fox. So Zach, want to play?" Said the voice.

"You're an anthro?" Asked Zach.

"Yes I am, but you got to play with me to find out what type I am. Zach, I see that you have a nice shiny new fighter. What happen to your last one? Did I break it?' Said the voice.

Zach tightens his harness and exhales. "You put to many bullet holes in the last one, it got scrapped for parts. Yes, I want to play with you. Where are you?"

"Right above you foxy. I also have a nice new fighter. Welcome to the jet age Zach, you been such a good adversary. I got a feeling; I'll be collecting the bounty on you." Said the voice.

Zach's fighter gets rocked by turbulence by something going real fast. "Dam, a Me-262! You are going to make this fun are you?" He pushes the throttles to the stops, the engines roar.

"That's right Zach, put up a good fight. I want to savor this victory. I'll be seeing you on the ground after I break your new fighter." Said the voice, the jet banks towards Zach's lighting to start the duel. "Jet vs. prop, who's going to win this one?"

"Gunners, shoot that bogy down. He's going after the escorts. Little friend, get him to follow you close to us." Said the lead bomber pilot.

Zach nodded and flew close to the bombers. "No fair Zach, if you want to play. You got to do it out in the open. Come on foxy, let's do it." Said the pilot in the jet fighter.

The figure in the jet watched as the P-38 flew toward the jet. "All right, let's do it." Said Zach's voice on the radio. The jet pilot smiled.

The crews in the bombers watched as the fighters dueled in the air. The lead bomber pilot watched the two fighters' dog fight a thousand feet ahead of his bomber. He watched as the other P-38s dog fight with Me-109s. "That's the only jet in the air and it went after that one P-38. What is going on here?" The bomber pilot looks at his co-pilot who only shrugged. Then the flack started bursting in the air and a dark blue and light blue tunnel opened up near the dueling fighters. Both fighters vanished along with the tunnel.

"Where did they go?" Asked the co-pilot.

"I don't know, I am reporting that they shot each other down. This is our last mission; I have no intention of being accused of seeing things. I want to keep my wings and my flying status." Said the lead bomber pilot looking at the co-pilot who nodded.

Present day, skies over San Diego.

At a flash of blue light two air craft suddenly appeared. A P-38 lighting and a Me-262 jet fighter. The lighting dove and did a tight maneuver to get behind the jet. Zach pressed the button to fire his guns and nothing happens. "Zach, are your guns not working to?" Said the jet pilot.

"Yes, I think we better call this a draw till next time." He sighed as he looked at the sky line.

"Zach, I don't think there's going to be a next time. We're over California, I recognize the coast line. I was here before the war; I think you're the victor in our duel. The Luftwaffe is going to be upset at me giving your military an intact jet fighter." Said the jet pilot.

"Unknown air craft, you're flying in restricted air space! You just gotten intercepted by naval air craft. Please follow them to the air field." Said a different voice.

Zach turns his head and saw an F-18 flying right by him. "Well my friend, I think your Me-262 is not much of a prize if we can build something like that. Why are they here instead of Europe?"

"Zach, something weird happen. I think we're at another world. Those planes look faster than mine, plus my guns are inoperable to. I think we're both are going to be POW's, you been a good adversary." Said the jet pilot as they flew in formation.

F-18 following the fighters.

"Base, this is Iceman. I have the unknowns, one Lockheed P-38 lighting in mint condition. One Messerschmitt Me-262 jet fighter, looks like it just came off the assembly line. I didn't know that there is air worthy ones flying." Said the pilot in the F-18.

"Iceman, this is base. Keep an eye on them; there is no air shows scheduled at the moment. Follow them to the base, if they deviate force them back on course. We'll get in a lot of trouble if we wreck some ones antique aircraft, so don't shoot." Said the voice on the radio.

"Rodger base, they are following us to base. Base, the nacelles look different on the P-38. They look like the ones off a P-51D Mustang. Some one put a lot of work on the P-38 to have it powered by a pair of Rolls Royce engines." As the fighters landed on the runway.

Naval airbase San Diego.

The navy captain watched as the P-38 Lighting followed a vehicle to a hanger. He watched as the props wind down to a stop. "Dam, some one put a lot of money on this antique bird." He said looking at the four blade props instead of three blades. The pilot climbs down a ladder; he walks up and salutes the captain. "You're military?" He asked the red anthro fox. Who's walking with a slight limp.

"Major Zach Harrison of the US army air force, sir." Replied the fox.

"Captain John Garrison of the US Navy. Do you know what year it is?" Ask John.

"Sir, its 1943 sir." Replied Zach.

"Major, it's......" John is interrupted by a loud mechanical scream of twin turbo jets. He turned and saw a black Me-262 taxing next to the lighting. A minute later the engines shut off. A ladder is wheeled up to the jet. John watched as the canopy opened and a tall figure in a black flight suit stepped out and climbs down the ladder. The figure is female from the curves on the body. John noted the gray colored tail and knows that the pilot is a female anthro. She walked up to the two looking at Zach with light blue eyes. The pilot who always called Zach on the radio wasn't a male, but a female anthropomorphic gray wolf.

Zach watched in awe as the female wolf walked toward him and John. She's taller than Zach and has a medium build with a 38 D breast size. The wolf takes off her helmet and shakes her head releasing her long black hair. She grins at Zach. "Well hello foxy, looks like I am not collecting that bounty after all." The wolf turns to John with a smile. "Are we still fighting, Yank?"

John laughs at the female wolf. "No we're not; the war has been over since 1945. The year right now is 2005, so stand down. The leader of Germany is visiting San Diego today. The base commander called the leader and they are coming to pick you up. So, what's your name and rank?"

The wolf looked at Zach, then at John. "Major Marie Heinz of the German Luftwaffe." She hands her side arm to John. Marie looks at the F-18's landing on the field and at her Me-262. "So, it's the year 2005. What else happen to air craft other than the elimination of prop fighters?"

John grinned. "They have gotten faster and bigger. The German government has asked us to keep an eye on your fighter." He points to the Me-262 that has gathered a crowd of personal looking at it. "Your government is going to load it on a 747 cargo air craft and fly it back to Berlin. Right now, it's the only real one that flies. So you two please follow me to my office." The two anthros looked at each other, shrugged and followed the Navy captain. They took a look at the old war birds sitting side by side as ordinance personal removed the ammunition belts out of the fighters.

One hour later, Base XO office.

John listens to the two anthros story of what happen to them. "Well that is interesting, two hours ago to you two. You were trying to kill each other over the skies over Berlin."

"He had a bounty on him sir. The Luftwaffe had a price on his head. He shot down thirty pilots, plus he shot me down once and damaged my Me-109 twice." Said Marie looking at Zach.

"You shot down ten B-17s, damaged fifteen more. Plus you shot down twelve of our fighters, me once over the English Channel. I barely made back to England after our last meeting." Zach replied looking at Marie.

"Zach, I am curious. I shot up one of your engines and the other was barely running. There were big holes in your right wing, how did you make it back to England? I thought you went swimming in the channel again." Marie chuckled looking over at John, who is looking at Zach.

"I ended up crashing on the beach. I glided the last two miles; the Royal marines on the beach had to pull me out of my wrecked plane. I got two rounds in the leg and one in the shoulder. I spent a week in the hospital from our last meeting, plus my second purple heart. That's why I walk with a slight limp." Zack loosens his shirt and showed the scar on his right shoulder. The fur has almost grown back, but the scar is still visible. He rolled up his right pant leg and rolled down the sock. The black fur on the calf is almost grown back, but there's a jagged scar at the muscle area. Zach pulled up the sock and rolled down the pant leg.

Marie looked at Zach. "I am sorry; I didn't know I hit you. I was aiming for your flight controls. The bounty on you was double alive. You never hit me when you got me those three times."

"You were doing your job, just like me. You were defending your country like any member of the armed forces." Said Zach looking at her.

John watched the conversation between the two anthros. He knew Zach will be dismissed from the armed forces due to the injury to his leg. The Luftwaffe pilot will be train to fly the Mig 29. She will be welcome back to Germany to a hero's return. "Well, interesting story you two. Zach the US Air force is taking custody of your P-38 lighting; after all it is US government property. It's going to a flight museum and is going to be flown at air shows; after all it only has one hundred hours on it. A couple of personal from the air force are going to be here in a couple of hours to take you Edwards air force base for debriefing." He looks at Marie. "The leader of Germany shall be here in a few minutes for you. Now both of you will stay in this base for now."

Two weeks later.

Zach walked out of the air base in a foul mood. He has been dismissed from the armed services. A senator didn't like the idea of him liking a German citizen. He was given a choice cut off his relationship to her and stays in flight status, or turn in his resignation. Zach chooses the later. "This isn't the country I defended sixty five years ago. Those crooks can have it. I'll find something to do for a living; at least Marie still contacts me."

"I have a job offer for you Major Zach. Still want to fly a fighter? Fly for a country that respects their members of the arm forces? Work for a leader who doesn't care who you have feelings for?" Said an all black colored wolf wearing a khaki colored outfit.

Zach turned to the wolf. "I am listening, you have my interest. I am twenty five years old and still in good shape."

The wolf grinned showing his huge teeth. "I know about you, they dismissed you because you liked a wolf who was once your enemy. I seen her, I don't blame you for liking her." He noticed Zach looking at his right leg. "Don't worry about that, if you can still walk. You can still fly a plane, plus female wolves like scars, even the ones in Germany."

"Let's talk; right now I have no home. My friends are either dead or at a rest home. The ones at the rest homes have nothing to do with me due to liking a certain female wolf. The only friend I have right now is at Germany training to fly the Mig-29." Said Zach following the wolf.

The wolf puts an arm around Zach. "I have a feeling we're going to be good friends Lt. Colonel Zach. My name is Khan; I am a pilot like you. My leader runs a little country in East Africa. It's a nice place, a little warm but a nice place to live. Working for us, you can visit your friend in Germany once in a while"

The gate guard watches the two anthros talk to each other. The anthro fox shook his head as they walked a way. "Dam politicians, picking on a good fighter pilot. I have a feeling this decision is going to bite them in the ass someday." He laughs to himself. "Looks like the country of Palistinia just got them a dam good pilot to fly their mirages. Good plane, put a good pilot in one, you got a deadly combination. We foxes are dam good pilots."

Berlin Germany at an air base, two days later.

Marie is at a classroom studying the flight manual of the Mig-29. She whistled while reading the specs of the plane. A male gray wolf walked in with grin. "Was that for me, I hope not. I am married Marie."

"No, sorry about that Colonel Max Lutz. I am surprised of how fast this fighter goes. The Me-262 I flew has the max speed of 650 mph. This Mig-29 goes almost three times the speed of the Me-262." Said Marie looking at her CO.

Max looked at the female gray wolf that technically is almost three times his age, but legally twenty six. "Well major, I envy you. I always wanted to fly the swallow. We have a few in museums, but none of them can fly. If you're wondering, your Me-262 just arrived at our air craft restoration hanger."

"That's good to know. I flew it on a few combat missions before my trip through time. That fighter has less than hundred hours on it." Marie said with a grin.

"Oh, I got some bad news. The Americans dismissed Major Zach Harrison from the armed services. Some stupid senator didn't like him being friends with you. The idiot gave Zach a choice cut his friendship with you or resign, Zach resign. He must like you a lot even thou you almost killed him twice." Said Max watching Marie's reaction.

"I must have done something to a family member of that senator. I like Americans, but I hate the people running that country. Where's Zach at sir?" Replied Marie with a concern look.

Max sighed. "We were five minutes late in getting him. A pilot from the country Palistinia got him. Zach is now at that country working for them as a pilot. We have a relationship with that country, but the Americans don't. As for that senator, you did shot down his fathers B-17. He did survive, but that worry about that American idiot. I heard about the injuries you inflicted on Zach, but he forgive you and still wants to be friends with you. To me Marie, Zach is more of a man than that senator. Zach has the guts to forgive you. Don't worry; we'll keep an eye on Zach. The Americans lost a good pilot and the air force in Palistinia gain a good one. Put a good pilot in a mirage and you get a deadly combination."

Marie's eyes widen at the last sentence spoken by her CO. "From what you just said Palistinia's air force just has gotten more of a threat to its enemies."

"You're so right, Marie. Their air force was fair to good, but now with Zach working for them and training them. You know what I am talking about; you fought him over our skies." Max looked at Marie.

"Sir, I am glad we have a relationship with that country. Zach is the only allied pilot that shot me down. He did shot down thirty of our best pilots. I did some reading, the US doesn't have a pilot in the military to match him, and we do have a pilot that does." Replied Marie.

"Who?" Asked Max.

"Me, but like you said sir we do get along with Palistinia. I am looking forward of seeing him again, after all he did choose my friendship over serving in the US armed forces." Said Marie with a grin.

One month later at an air base in Palistinia.

Zach grinned as he stepped off the mirage fighter. He loved flying the delta wing aircraft. The country of Palistinia pays him a decent pay check; he lives in a small house on base. He also trains the new pilots in air combat. In Zach's opinion, the mirage is a nice fighter. It has taken a few flights to get the feel of the aircraft. That's one thing about the anthro foxes. Something encoded in their DNA makes them a good pilot; it usually takes a few hours for a fox to master an aircraft. After a fox flies an aircraft for so many hours, they act like they flew the aircraft for years.

Kahn grinned at himself as he watched Zach limped toward him. He liked the fox like a younger brother, but the fox is almost three times his age. Kahn's kids liked Zach to; right now they are starting to call him uncle. In Khan's opinion, he was lucky to get the fox. He beat a few Germans to Zach by five minutes. "Sorry my German friends, I think he prefers working for us. Our country is more laid back than Germany, less stress on an eighty-seven year old fox. Besides why should the more developed countries hogged up all the foxes. We want good pilots to." Kahn thought to himself as Zach limped up to him shaking his hand. "How did the flight go?"

"Very good Khan, your mechanics got the controls just right. Have those adjustments done on the rest of your fighters and your pilots will have good aircraft to fly." Said Zach looking at the mirage fighter.

Kahn nodded. "How's the training going on the new pilots?"

"Good, this group has potential. They're a little rough, but I'll straighten them out. You got to push them to the breaking point to make them into somebody who doesn't make any mistakes. You can't blink in a dog fight; I sneezed and got a couple of bullets in my leg." Zach said looking at Khan.

Kahn followed Zach back to the building to get debriefed. It's a typical day at Palistinia, hot and dry. The heat doesn't bother Zach, but Khan is thirsting for a long drink of water. "Well Zach, the new guys say you're a little strict. But you're more qualified in training new guys aerial combat, few of us have been in an air combat situation, but you have more hours of combat. I am glad we got you instead of a more developed country, in a few weeks we're going to go to Germany to visit your wolf friend." He thought to himself.

Two days later Berlin air base.

Max walked in Maries stateroom with a serious look. "Our sources say that Zach is one of the main pilots and he's training their pilots in aerial combat tactics. He's also advising the aircraft mechanics on doing adjustments on their aircraft."

"Good thing that we're friends with that country sir. I'll feel sorry for the Americans if they try something with them. I heard that Palistinia's anthros are mostly wolves." Said Marie looking at her CO.

"Some humans, a few rodent anthros mostly ferrets. Your right, most of the anthros are wolves." Replied Max

"Wolves and foxes are evenly matched when it comes to piloting skills. But foxes for some unknown reason, master an aircraft in less than ten hours. I just started flying the Mig-29, if I went against Zach right now in his mirage. I'll be joining a few squadron friends from the 1940's. I have only five hours on the Mig-29." Said Marie with a serious look.

"According to our sources, Zach already has close to sixty hours flight time on the mirage. He's already mastered it?" Asked Max looking at Marie, she nodded. "Well, I found out some personal from Palistinia are coming to visit us in a few weeks. Zach is going to be with them."

Marie smiled. "I won't mind seeing my old friend Zach."

Three weeks later, Berlin air base.

Marie and Max watched as the Airbus A-330 land and taxied to a hardstand. They noticed the large jet did a smooth approach and landed with precision. Due to the US not having anything to do with Palistinia, the country buys it's airliners from France along with its fighters. The door opened after the ladder was put on it. A few wolves walked off the airliner talking to each other. Then a black colored one with a reddish tan colored lean fox. "Max, you said that Zach is with them." Said Marie looking at the personal from Palistinia.

"Hi Marie, you are sure looking nice today." Said the reddish tan colored fox.

"Zach, is that you?" Asked Marie looking at the fox. He nodded looking at her. Zach has changed in little over a month. His fur coat is a reddish tan instead of a dark red. Zach's build is lean and muscled instead of scrawny. Marie felt wetness between her legs looking at him then nodded. "So what do you think flying on a jet airliner Zach?"

He grinned showing his white teeth. "Pretty nice, I was the co-pilot. Can't believe that a control stick like on a jet fighter moves that large jet. You should try flying one of these." Said Zach pointing at the large twin engine airliner.

"You're not limping anymore Zach, what happen?" Asked Marie watching him walk.

"The higher ups sent me to Switzerland to have my leg operated on a few weeks ago. It's good as new." Said Zach as the group walked to one of the buildings. Marie looked at the group of wolves from Palistinia; they only have on sleeveless T-shirts and shorts. She looked over to Zach; he's wearing the same clothing as the wolves. Marie can see his nice sculpted body thru the T-shirt and his well muscled legs. His right calf has a bandage on it. "Can't believe I flew a large plane at a Luftwaffe air base without getting shot at." Chuckled Zach, everybody laughed as they walked in.

A few hours later.

Marie is talking to Max; they are at the room where a while back they were talking with the group from Palistinia. "Well Marie, he seems to be doing well there. Did you see how he flew that large jet?" Replied Max sitting at a chair relaxing.

"Yes, he's changed sir. He was scrawny and slightly overweight. Now he's lean and has some muscle on his body. What has happen to his fur coat sir?" Asked Marie looking at her CO.

"His body adjusted to the desert climate. Zach's coat went to a lighter color so that the bright sun wouldn't bother him. Do you still want to be friends with him?" Max asked looking at Marie.

She looked at her CO, thinking that Zach will still be at the US if he would of broke his friendship with her. "Yes sir, I still want to be friends with him. I think he got himself in shape to impress me." She laughed.

"That's good to know. I can't believe the traffic in California keep us from getting him a while back. Oh well, he seems to be happy. If he stayed in the US he would be at a desk off flight status and still be slightly overweight. Still walking with a limp, because the higher ups in the US air force wouldn't have had his leg operated on. The people running Palistinia might be called rebels in the US, but they care for their citizens. Their air force is set up for defense and planes for hire. Sometimes a small country hires them to help them out. We did hire them for a couple of hostage rescues." Replied Max, giving Marie a keep this to yourself look.

Hour later Zach's room.

Zach is getting ready to go to his bed. He yawned and is pulling the covers off when there's a knock at his door. Zach opens it and saw Marie standing at the doorway wearing a T-shirt and shorts. She walked in giving him a kiss.

"I waited over a month to give you that Zach. I heard what that US senator did to you. Did he really want you to sever our friendship?" She asked looking at him.

"Yes, he wanted me to call you and tell you that I didn't want to be your friend anymore. To me that wasn't fair, you had a couple of chances to end my life and you didn't." Replied Zach looking her over.

Marie smiled at Zach running a finger down the front of his chest. She removed her T-shirt tossing it on Zach's bed, them removed her shorts. Zach looked at her firm breasts and lean muscled body. "Ok, just to let you know. The last time I had sex was back in 1938, so I am a little out of practice." Said Zach removing his clothing.

"Oh Zach, it's just like riding a bike. Once you learn, you never forget." Replied Marie lying on her back on the bed. Zach looked at the female wolf on the bed and climbed on top of her. He gave her a kiss feeling her hand grabbing his penis. Zach moved his hips toward her feeling his penis entering her vaginal canal. Marie moaned and grabbed his ass stroking it. Zach then felt her arms hugging him and her hands massaging his back. Marie then wrapped her legs around his hips locking him right at her. He felt her vaginal muscles pull on his penis as she orgasm, then she loosen her hold on him. A few minutes later, she did the same thing with her legs. But, she gave him a tight embrace putting his face in her cleavage. She rolled over letting him be on bottom. Zach looked up at the wolf, feeling her long hair on his face as she kissed him. A few minutes later his face is stuffed in the cleavage again, but Marie let out a loud howl.

Kahn's room, next to Zach's

"Well sounds like they're having fun. I got a feeling Zach is going to be tired tomorrow morning." Kahn said to himself. He then heard a fox cry from the room. "It's about time Zach. I was beginning to think your plumbing was blocked." He laughs to himself and falls asleep.

Zach's room.

"That was great Marie; I am glad that I choose to keep our friendship." Said Zach looking at her light blue eyes.

"You were wonderful Zach; I can't wait till tomorrow night." Replied Marie with a look of lust in her eyes.

"Oh boy." Zach thought to himself as the lights turned off and he felt Marie put him in an embrace. She gave him a squeeze, and then she rested her head on his and fell asleep. Zach looked ahead feeling her breasts on his chest and her large limbs wrapped around him. He closed his eyes and fell asleep

Two days later Berlin air base.

The group walked to the A-330 parked at the taxi way. Zach is walking with his legs slightly spread. The other wolves chuckled at Zach, Marie walked up to him. "Zach are you alright?"

He looked at her with an embarrassed smile. "Yeah, I am fine. There was a slight mix-up this morning; I am wearing your underwear. It's alright, but it's a little tight in the scrotum. I'll give them back to you when I come back to visit you." The other wolves laughed and Marie's ears flushed red.

"You can keep them. I'll mail yours to you Zach." Said Marie looking at Zach.

"Just don't wash them, I'll see you later. Please mail me some pictures of you." He gives her a kiss and walks up the ladder to the plane.

Marie and Max watched as the airliner taxied to the end of the runway. They watched as it took off, the A-330 wagged its wings as it gain altitude.

"That was an interesting meeting." Replied Max as he looked at Marie.

"Yes sir it was. Request permission to do a uniform change?" Asked Marie looking at Max.

He chuckled and looked at Marie. "Granted, you'll be seeing him in another month. During this time of year, the personal from Palistinia come by once a month to visit and do deals with us. Just remind Zach to pay attention of the clothing he picks off the floor." Max walks to his office laughing. Marie shakes her head and walks to her room.

Two weeks later US base at Magaster West Africa.

The attacks happen at the early morning hours. The wave of fighters damaged the runways. The base ended up surrounded by tanks from the neighboring county of Tirickenstan. The communications were spared on the base, so the personal can be ordered to leave. They were given five days to leave. Two days later the aircraft carrier USS America was sent over to give assistance. The fighters fired a bunch of missiles at the carrier, damaging the launch catapults and flight deck.

Berlin air base. One day later.

Max and Marie listened to the speaker phone from the US air base at another part of Germany. "We can't send any support to that base. If we send any long range bombers, those tanks will shell the base. We don't have any bases near by; do you guys have any suggestions?" Said the US Base commander.

Marie looked at Max and grinned at him. Max nodded and turned to the phone. "Yes we got an Idea; it will look like retaliation. Palistinia is good friends with Magaster; they really don't get along with Tirickenstan. The catch is, we need fifteen million US dollars and avionics upgrades for thirty S-17 radar systems that goes on the French made mirage fighter jet. Take it, or leave it." Said Max with a grin.

The speaker is quiet for a second. "All right, we wonder why you guys support those rebels. They remind us of the Confederacy of from the south from the 1860's. I can't believe the flag of that country is the Confederate battle flag. Just between you and me Max. If it were up to me and I was running the USA. I would have a normal relationship with that country. I'll be sending the stuff you want, I wish them luck. Thanks for your help Max." The phone goes silent.

Marie smiles and looks at Max. "So there are still humans that have honor in them. I thought that they are dieing away."

Max grins. "There are still good leaders in the US. President Jefferson of the US is a good leader, but some senators have his hands tied. I hope at the next election some of them get voted out of office. Let's get a hold of the leaders of Palistinia. Stay here Marie; I might need you to talk to Zach." He dials a number on the phone.

Over the skies of Africa. Heading toward Magaster, one day later.

The five Mig-29s are heading to attack the tanks surrounding the US base. The Mig-29s have the iron cross painted on the tails. Marie looked around thinking to herself. "Zach, what choice did you make? Are you going to help us or you are just going to sit this one out and let your fellow country men do this?"

A minute later, thirty mirage fighter jets joined up with the German fighters. The mirages had the Confederate battle flag painted on their tails. "Marie, I can't let you have all the fun can I." Said Zach in her headset.

She grinned to herself as a mirage pull up beside her. "Well Zach, it looks like were going to fight side by side this time instead against each other." Marie heard a laugh in her headset.

"Let's do it! I am doing this to help you guys out and the country of Magaster. They are our friends and they buy stuff from us." Said Zach as the planes started the attack on the tanks.

The mirages and Mig-29s attacked the tanks on the ground. A while later, the fighters from Tirickenstan started to attack the aircraft. Marie watched as the mirages shot down the enemy fighters. The fighters from Palistinia didn't lose one fighter; neither did any fighters from Germany. "Marie, it looks like Zach did a good job training the Palistinia air force. They would have lost one plane in a situation like this." Said Max in her headset. She nodded as the fighters circled the US base. "All fighters return to Palistinia air base including the ones from Germany." Said Max in the radio circuit. The fighters turned east and headed back to base.

Washington D.C. one week later.

Max and Marie along with three humans are getting awards at rose garden at the White house. The five personal from Germany are wearing the dress uniform of the German Luftwaffe. A few minutes later a bunch of anthro wolves, ferrets, humans and a reddish tan fox walked in. They are wearing dress shirts and slacks.

"Dam rebels." Whispered senator Jackston, as the personal from Palistinia sat down.

"Shut up, racist. If it weren't for them. You yanks would have lost that base." Hissed Max to Jackston as he walked by the senator.

Jackston stood up and glared at Marie. "I have a bone to pick with her to. She shot down my dad back in 1942. I am going to do something about this right now. I can't believe a crippled fox choose being her friend over serving in the US armed forces." He draws a gun and shoots at her.

The bullet didn't hit Marie; it hit a male fox in the chest. Zach jumped in front of Marie and fell to the ground. It took all the military personal at the reception to hold back the anthros that wanted to tear the senator to pieces. Senator Jackston is arrested by the secret service and is being lead away.

"Stop, I want to talk to that little boy." Said Zach standing up. He rips open his shirt pulling the mushroomed bullet off a white vest he's wearing. Zach flinches when he moves his arms, then he glares at Jackston. "I called you a little boy, because you're acting like one right now! I may look younger than you, but technically I am eighty seven years old. I am more mature than you. I know she did some bad things to some of our bomber crews, but she was doing her job like I did when I shot down thirty of her friends. I know she almost killed me on two occasions. But the difference between you and I senator Idiot is that I have the guts to forgive her for what she did to me. I heard that your father did escaped and made it back to England. He got a boat ride back to England. I on the other hand to tread water for a couple of hours till a British destroyer pick me up. So technically I should be more mad at her than you senator numbskull. So little boy, me and my friends are going to walk out of here get on our Airbus and go back to the sunny skies of Palistinia. You just embarrassed the USA by acting like a two year old." Zach walks away with the humans and anthros from Palistinia and the personal from Germany.

"Wait, I am sorry that this has happen. Let's talk about settling our differences ok?" Said President Jefferson looking at the group.

Zack looked at his friends and grinned. "All right sir, we'll talk. One thing sir, we are not changing our country's flag for the liberals and ACLU." As the groups sat back down.

Six months later at Palistinia

Zach looked into Marie's light blue eyes. They are getting married in a few months. The US started a relationship with the country of Palistinia. Some companies in the US are glad that they can sell some of their products to the country now. Senator Jackston got sentenced to life in prison for attempted murder of a German citizen with no chance of parole. Marie requested a transfer in the reserves and she got it. Zach is still an instructor for the Palistinia air force. Marie is now living with him, but still goes to Germany once a month to keep her flight status.

"I love you and I forgive you for shooting me down twice." Said Zack to Marie.

"I love you to Zach, just for your information. Those thirty pilots did survive their landing on the ground after you shot them down. So don't worry about those guys any more ok?" Replied Marie looking at Zach.

"Deal!" Said Zach as Marie embraced him in her arms as they fell asleep in the bed.

THE END

I made up some fictional country names so I won't offend anybody. I had this idea of a story in my head for a long time before I wrote it. Raven Fox
