Werand had managed to get Vadan and Aeria a new room for the night knowing that neither of them would be able to sleep peacefully in the room knowing what had happened there earlier.
"Vadan will be here and Werand and I are right down the hall" Rin said as she patted Aeria's arm gently.
Aeria nodded her head; she had been silent the rest of the day only saying a few words here and there to calm Rin down.
"Are you sure you are feeling all right?" she asked.
"I'm fine" Aeria said though it was possible for anyone to tell from the sound of her voice that she wasn't fine at all.
Vadan was watching the two of them carefully, Aeria's normally sparkling emerald eyes were dim, and her tail continued to hang limply behind her, and ever time she answered Rin her voice lacked the confidence she normally held.
Rin hesitated at the door, it was obvious she wanted to stay and make sure nothing else happened, but she also wanted to be with Werand, she trusted Vadan to take care of Aeria, especially after what had happened with the Doberman.
"She'll be fine" Vadan said in an emotionless tone from his position, leaning against the wall.
Rin looked at him, their eyes locking. Her gaze told him what she was wondering.
Vadan registered the look that Rin was giving him, so he walked to the door and gently led her out, and just far enough where Aeria couldn't hear them. "She'll be fine" he repeated. "Ill make sure of it....no it is not because I have feelings for her" he said shooting Rin's idea down. "I had a younger sister" he sighed running a hand through his fur. "And......she was raped and then murdered" he said looking Rin in the eyes.
Rin blinked at him for a moment trying to comprehend.
"No one deserves it" He said wearily. "No one....I wouldn't even wish it on her....even if she is my enemy" He said forcing a lopsided smile to his face trying to comfort her.
Rin nodded her head slowly. "She doesn't know what you did yet" she said carefully. "It's up to you if you tell her" Rin leaned in and kissed his cheek gently, it was a friendly sort of motherly kiss. "Sleep well" she said before leaving for her room.
Vadan walked back in and found Aeria had all ready changed into her nightgown, it was an emerald green that matched her eyes, it hung loosely around her figure as she walked towards the bed. She looked up as Vadan walked in. "Stay on your side" she warned with a wary glare "and I'll stay on mine."
'Seems like she's back to her old self' Vadan sighed to himself. He pulled his shirt over his head and discarded it on the empty chair on his side of the bed. He pulled off his pants leaving him only in his underwear. He slid under the covers and dimmed the gas lamp next to him.
The room was silent as they lay there the only sound came from them shift on the bed.
As the night dragged on Vadan heard Aeria's breathing become even as she fell asleep. He sighed. Ever since seeing her in the river his body had started acting up when he saw her and now as she lay asleep in the bed next to her, he was fighting the urge to roll over and cuddle next to her. He recalled how she had clung to his arm earlier; all thoughts of her hate had left her while she had been afraid. Normally the thought of Aeria being afraid, since she tended to be a fierce figure, would have made him laugh, but now he just saw it as pitiful. 'She has feelings just like you' he told himself.

Aeria was curled up on her side of the bed; she was listening to the beating of her heart. Her thoughts were racing with the events from earlier that day. Most of them were focused on her time with Vadan. She had expected him to push her away, perhaps even make fun of her for being weak at that moment, but instead he had comforted her, and something deep inside her let her know that the last howl she had heard had been caused by him. She clasped the locket she had put back around her neck and kissed it gently as she found sleep tugging at her. 'He's not that bad' she thought to herself, even if afterwards he had returned to his uncaring self again. 'He has a heart after all' she thought as she finally gave away to sleep.

A shiver ran down Vadan's spine as he felt Aeria's warm breath on the back of his neck. "What happened to staying on your side?" he asked as he rolled over to face her. The dim light that came from the moon light her face as it flooded in through the window. He saw her eyes were closed, and she was still asleep. Her hair fell around her shoulders gracefully and the blanket rose and fell with each breath she took. Vadan took a deep breath feeling he wanting to move closer, as he did he smelt her fur, it smelled faintly of raspberries and vanilla. He leaned in carefully his brain trying to tell his body to stop but he didn't, his lips met with hers and he kissed her deeply.

Aeria felt a warm presence on her lips and she kissed back as she slowly came out of her sleep. She jerked back as she recalled where she was. She reached out and turned up the gasp lamp that sat on the bedside table. As her eyes adjusted to the light she saw a very stunned looking Vadan sitting next to her.
Vadan was startled to feel her kissing back, but he enjoyed the moment, until he felt her pull away and the light flooded the room.
Her paw flew instantly to her mouth as the realization came to her. "You-you- kissed me!?" she exclaimed.
Vadan, who had time to recover by now, gave her a blank stare. "Why would I do that?" he asked her coolly.
"I don't know why don't you tell me?" She asked, before he could move Aeria had slid forward and now had her claws pressing gently against his package threatening to pierce it if he didn't tell her the truth. 'I was wrong' she thought. 'He's scum just like the rest of them' she thought as she saw him tense under her gaze.
"I-I-I" Vadan found it difficult to come up with an answer, more so because he felt his boxers starting to tent underneath Aeria's paw.
"You what?" she asked as she started to press harder.
"I-" Vadan took a deep breath wondering if he could answer before she saw what she was doing to him. "IthinkIlikeyou" Vadan said quickly before he could think about it, all his words were strung together.
