Why so much love?

I stopped again and watched them. Shining armor now looked to be a bit more serious as his hoof remained at his chin. He was obviously thinking and I couldn't blame him. If I were him I would be either curious or afraid. "Please understand and trust me when I say that I will never attack you or anyone in this land unless I feel I am endangered. I will defend myself only." I assured them all. I sighed and held my head in my claws. "I... I feel horrible, honestly." I said, scratching my head through my hair softly. "So much death at my own hands. it is a horrible reputation to have, and even worse feeling in my own heart knowing that the thousands I killed during the chase, everyone one of them had families somewhere."

I deeply sighed, closing my eyes and remaining silent. A warm feeling of something touching my wing on my back came and I opened my eyes to see that princess Luna had come to my side and rubbed my back softly. "I thou know'st of thy feeling. It is a hard and horrible one, for I too used to be monstrous. I turn my head to look at her face. Her eyes seemed to be distant, obviously remembering something hurtful. "You see Sanrose, Luna here, used to be Nightmare Moon." I heard Celestia say. I looked to Celestia curiously. "Nightmare Moon?" She nodded softly and looked to Luna, who now looked saddened and a little depressed. "Yes, I was once a pony that hurt others." Luna said with her voice confirming her sadness."

I was told the Story of nightmare moon, and how the world was in fear due to Luna's evil side. For once, I was actually happy. I had found someone to relate to. After her story I wrapped a gentle arm around her and hugged her slightly with an arm. "Princess Luna, I may not have been here during that time. But I forgive you for what you did, and I am happy that you are now the good, um... pony you are now. I shall hold nothing against you about your past, for it is no longer whom you are." I told her sincerely, trying to cheer the Princess up. I hated seeing sad people, especially a princess like Luna.

I heard her sniffle softly as she gave a soft hug back to me. "I thank you, Sanrose. Your kindness means very much to me. There are still many ponies whom fear me." she said lowering her head a little. I reached out and put a claw under the chin of her muzzle, lifting it back up. "Come now dear Luna, Show a smile. You are Princess Luna are you not?" I asked her. She nodded slowly and looked into my eyes. i looked back into hers and smiled. "Then show the pride of being the wonderful and caring Princess you are and show a smile. Believe it or not, but showing even a small smile, even when you're not happy, will improve how people feel about you." I said to her while i released her chin.

i noticed that Celestia was smiling while I did this. I looked over to her and to shining armor who now was standing on all four hooves and conversing with a guard that had come in while I was conversing Luna. Shining armor nodded and turned to the princess's. "My princess's, Lunch is ready in the dining area" Celestia nodded and looked to Luna, "Shall we go to lunch dear sister?" Luna nodded and walked to Celestia's side. "Yes, that would be nice. I wonder what the cook has come up with this time."

I nodded and felt my stomach growl, at the mention of food. I covered my stomach since it was very audible which caused the princess's and shining armor to look back at me curiously. "Sorry... heh, I don't really know when the last time I ate was, and I haven't been eating heartily for the past two years back home. So i'm just a tad hungry. But, I will be fine, go on ahead, have a nice lunch." I said with a smile when my stomach growled louder, catching the attention on a nurse nearby as well. I sighed in defeat, "Okay... so i'm really hungry..." I said with a blush of embarrassment.

Luna looked to her sister and asked, "Shall we let him join us for lunch sister?" Celestia nodded with a smile. "Yes, that is a wonderful idea. Sanrose? Care to join us?" I looked at them surprisingly, "You wish for me to attend your lunch?" I asked with my eyebrows raised and pointing a claw to at myself. They both nodded with smile. "Um... I do not wish to intrude my' dears, I am just a humble warrior prince and don't want to disrupt anything. I do not yet know of your customs." they both giggled softly and smiled to me. "What better way to learn than with the princess's?"

I sighed and cursed my shyness. You would think that after sixteen-hundred years of living you would learn to not be as shy. "Alright, I will be honored to join you princess's, thank you for allowing me to attend with you." I said with a slight smile. They smiled back to me and Luna watched me carefully as I turned my body and lowered my legs off the bed, stretching them out. Using my arms I pushed myself off the bed and found myself much higher than I initially thought I was. I stood up fully and noticed how I was about the same height as Celestia, and a couple feet taller than Luna.

Shining armor was indeed the shortest of the four of us and they all seemed to marvel at my height. I stretched out my arms and tail, along with my legs again, feeling my muscles and bones shift and pop a little. "Ahh. That feels good. I have no idea when the last time was that I stood up and stretched like this, hehe." I said with a short chuckle. i walked started to walk to them when i lost my balance. I quickly caught the bed with my hand and propped myself up. "Lordy, I must not have been moving at all for a while." "Well, you were out for just over a week." Shining Armor said, laughing afterwards. "That may be it." i said back with another chuckle. I slowly stood back up and found my balance; I gave a short nod and slowly walked towards the princess's. "Are you okay?" Luna asked. "Heh, honestly, I feel absolutely amazing." I said with a smile to the dark princess. "But, um... may i have my armor and shirt back?"

After having my clothing and armor returned to I, shining armor left us to take care of other duties. We finally reached the dining area to be greeted by two more ponies, one by the name of Princess Cadence, and the other by the name of Prince Blue Blood. I waited for the princess's to take their seats before I took an empty one near the prince. "Oh my! What is this... thing doing at our table!?" The white unicorn exclaimed. "He isn't royalty like us; please make this... peasant sit with the rest of the lower class." We all looked at him surprisingly. Celestia was about to say something when I put my hand up to stop her.

"So, Prince Blue Blood, I have a question for you." He looked away with one of those, 'I'm better than you so I don't need to listen to you' kind of looks. "Do you realize who you are addressing?" he still just Kind of shrugged with the same look. "I am Sanrose Kigagjoriean Dreagneos. Prince of the Dragon race." I laughed heartily inside and I grew a smile as I saw his eyes go wide. "Yooouu... are a Priiince?" he asked me while pointing a hoof towards me. With my smile i crossed my arms and nodded. "Yes sir, indeed I am. And I do not appreciate those names in which you were calling me, "He lowered his hoof and sat up straight as he was now quiet, beginning to eat his lunch.

Lunch consisted of something I was definitely not used to. I mean, yes they were Sandwiches, but... where was the meat? There was also a salad with many different clean vegies in it, with a red syrupy dressing on top. Not to be rude I took a small bite of the Sandwich and tasted it, it was a mixture between sweet and bitter with the different seasonings and veggies in it. i set the sandwich down and wiped my mouth with a napkin, trying to be clean and proper as much as possible, not wanting to be disrespectful of course. I looked to the group and asked, "Are the people of this land all vegetarians? Or just the royal family? Is this just the lunch style for today?" Cadence nodded her head while saying, "Yes, we are indeed vegetarians. She answered." i nodded my head and took another bite. "are there any meat markets or places to get meat?" they all looked to me in horror at what i had just said.

I sunk back in my chair as I watched their faces expressions. "I-I'm sorry. I did not mean to disrespect anyone. I am just accustom to eating meats along with the other dragons." Princess Luna nodded slightly. "Here in Equestria we do not eat other. We eat the fruits and veggies that are grown by the earth ponies." I nodded in understanding.

I sat there in silence, continuing to eat the Sandwich. It was actually very good even without the meat. I began to think in my head on the possibilities on how I might have come to this land. I looked up to Celestia and raised my hand slightly, "Um, Princess Celestia? I have another question to ask." She nodded her head towards me to continue. "Do you know how i came to this land?" "Honestly, we do not know. But I do know how you were found." A look of curiosity came to my face and I nodded to her to continue. "You were found by a young dragon by the name of spike, just outside of Ponyville." My mind continued to think as she spoke.

"He was looking for gems with his dear friend rarity when they found you under the ground, encased in stone." My eyebrows went up upon hearing this. "They dug you up and they're friends transported your statued self to here to Canterlot, where you were placed in the garden next to many other statues. We then went for lunch about this time when you broke free of your seal. and i must say that I have never in my life heard something roar and show so much power in a moment." I tilted my head curiously. "What do you mean?" I asked.

"When you broke free, there was a bright blue light that was even brighter than the sun, and you roared loud enough to rattle the windows in the castle. I am guessing that you do not remember that?" I nodded my head again. "Yes, indeed I do not recall that moment. And I must apologize for my entrance and delaying your lunch." she smiled and shook her head slowly, making sure to keep her mane from flying around. "It is quite alright my dear prince. There was no harm done." She smiled to me. I looked over to Luna and noticed that she seemed to be staring into my eyes. My eyebrow rose, "mmm... Princess?" Her head shook and she looked away with a blush. "I-i'm sorry.

I reached up and felt my face to find if anything was different. I brushed against the scar that ran over my left eye and sighed. Shaking my head, i stood up from the chair that was at the table. "Princess's, Again, i must to thank your care and hospitality for me my' dears. It means a lot, It truly does." I said giving a slight bow, "Especially to a rouge dragon prince that is hated by many. But I am afraid that must be going. The meal was actually very delightful but i do not wish to bring any harm to your wonderful kingdom."

I looked to the princess's and even prince blue blood seemed confused. "Why must you go?" Cadence asked. "I am a wanted man my' dear. If the Humans and Anthro's come to this kingdom, they will kill everything to get to me, just to end my life." They all seemed to chuckle and giggle the princess's covering their mouths at this statement. "Did... I say something funny?" They all shook their heads and uncovered their mouth. "You see Sanrose, Humans have been extinct for thousands of years." a small smile crept over my face. I wasn't happy that they were gone through, "So, it would be highly unlikely that you will be hunted. You will be safe here."
