Savanna Ivy: The Story of Lilah- Chapter 1

This is the first chapter of the story that I am developing. I tried to make it as detailed as possible and tried not to make it look awkward lol.

If you guys are wondering what Lilah sounds like, she sounds like Megan Fox lol. I imagined her sounding like that LOL.

Lilah carefully stretched her claws, feeling the rumble under her feet as she stared intensely at the grazing buffalo in front of her. She licked her lips in hunger, her charcoal grey pupils slowly turning a feral black as she imagined the sensation of her large, sharp teeth sinking into the fresh flesh of her kill. She stifled a hungry, anxious growl that almost erupted from her throat as she moved towards her prey quietly. She slowly picked up speed, her pale, almost whie, beige body moving fast while her nimble feet began to feel as they barely touched the ground. Her ears were now flat against her head and her breathing was building in excitement. She was weightless and a rogue goddess. She suddenly leaped into the air, the rays from the lemon-yellow sun reflecting of her smooth fur as she readied her claws. She felt herself fall upon her prey. She felt her claws sink deep into flesh of the animal. She heard it scream in angst, already knowing its fate. She quickly sinked her teeth into its flesh, euphoria overtaking her instantly. She dug her teeth in deep, blood immediately rushed in her mouth. Shivers ran down her back as the crimson liquid flooded in her muzzle.

The strength of the wild buffalo almost slung her off until she pulled hard ripping a chunk out of its neck. The buffalo died instantly. The buffalo slumped to the floor, all of the life drained out of it. Lilah quickly devoured the generous chunk of meat in her mouth and hungrily finished the dead buffalo until there was nothing left. She cleaned her muzzle afterwards and let out a huge sigh. Being a rogue lioness was hard. Lilah thought back to her ex-pride, noble and controlling. Unfortunately, a lioness going against arranged marriages was one to be exiled. Lilah sneered at the thought of the anger that radiated towards her resistance. She could even feel it vibrate on her even if she was miles away from where they were. Lilah then continued to walk through the tall grass, not knowing where she was headed. She was already half-expecting to die alone. The thought almost brought her to impromptu tears but she quickly regained herself. She had to stay strong...for herself.

She suddenly felt her feet hit solid dirt, shocking her from her thoughts. She quickly looked back and saw that she reached a clear path and a wave of calmness washed over her. She walked down the path, beginning to become more curious. The path led to greenery; emerald green grass, fragrant flowers of all kinds and fertile dirt under her paws. The smell of lush nature hit her instantly and she swooned at the lingering aroma. The tangy smell of fresh and growing fruits: passionfruit, bananas, and rare berries made her mouth water slightly. The sun was hanging low in the sky as the warm evening breeze wafted across the beautiful discovery of land she had stumbled upon. Lilah cheered happily to herself as she saw a pond of fresh water surrounded by the generous, long blades of grass. She lapped at the cold, almost sweet-tasting blue water and was overwhelmed by the beauty of where she was.

"Where am I?..." she finally spoke to herself. She immediately fell in love with this place as she ventured deeper, drinking everything in and shivering happily as she felt the heavens gift her with a another pleasant breeze. But suddenly, the breeze ran a cold fear within her and her eyes widened, her ears flattening on her head. She smelled a lion, a male lion for that matter. His musky, male scent wafted through the air, dominant and fearless. She quickly circled around where she was standing, her breath becoming ragged in fear. She could sense that he was in the grass and scanned the grass, frantically.

"Whywhywhywhywhy...," echoed through Lilah's head.

She took a step forward and let out a fearful scream as the lion she was searching for casually walked out of the grass. He let out a shocked scream as well as he heard the girlish shriek from the young lioness. He looked at her wide eyes in bewilderment and realized he was holding his breath. He quickly let it go and straightened himself up. Meanwhile, Lilah's frantic breathing slowed but she was still a bit frightened. She studied his thick brownish-gold fur that complemented his reddish- brown mane. Under the loose mane hair that framed his face were dark red eyes and a nervous smirk on his golden muzzle, but his eyes showed his confusion. Lilah watched as the lion squinted at her, finally realizing that this lioness was unknown to him. He admired her beautiful pale white-beige fur and the ebony tuft of her tail.

"Uh, hi there," he said, letting out a small chuckle after a moment.

Lilah's ears wiggled a bit out of acknowledgement. He watched as she blinked her black-grey eyes and watched as her mouth flutter a bit, at lost for words.

"H-hello." she sputtered quickly. Lilah tried to smooth her voice out and relax. The lion radiated a friendly vibe which made her a bit more comfortable in his company.

"My name is Lilah," she said, introducing herself. The lion's smirk widened and gave her a small bow of courtesy.

"I am Simba, welcome to my lands," he said, a hint of authority in his voice. Lilah raised an eyebrow at his statement.

"Your lands?" she said questioningly. Lilah watched as he shifted to sit down and he raised an amused eyebrow at her.

"Yes. I am King and these are my Lands," he said simply.

Lilah hesitated and did a quick once-over of the area. "It's very beautiful here..." she said quietly.

Simba nodded slightly and immediately noticed how beautiful Lilah was. Her dark eyes were shiny and almond-shaped with black outlines, her almost heart-shaped nose and her smooth nicely shaped legs, the curve of her back, the femininity of her soft-looking paws. She looked soft but strong which to Simba was an enticing combination.

"Lilah," he said her name without warning. Lilah looked at him instantly, her tail waving in curiosity. Simba swallowed, her name sliding off his tongue.

"It's getting pretty dark, huh?" Simba started. "Come, I want you to meet the rest of my pride," he gestured as he began to walk. Lilah hesitated for a moment, not sure of herself until she finally began to catch up beside him. The scent of him making her muscles clench but quickly loosening to normal.

"Are you a rogue?" Simba asked, still looking forward as they continued walking.

"Yes..." Lilah answered quietly. She looked at him and saw the softness in his face.

"Well, you are always welcome here, if you like," Simba said, finally looking at her. The friendly smile on his face warming her heart.

"Uh, yeah, sure," Lilah said with a new vigorous jump in her tone.

The two smiled at each other as they both headed towards Pride Rock in the setting sun.
