Synopsis:

The widely anticipated sequel to "Big Loads, Best Friends" is here!

As the summer heat continued to boil everyone and everything in sight, Daniel continued trucking along. Actively scheming to beat the heat, the gray wolf turned on the air conditioner to full blast and regularly doused his furry body in suntan lotion. News reports on the radio indicated that the scorching temperatures would continue throughout the season. Weathermen advised people to stay indoors and drink plenty of water to stay hydrated. Daniel was satisfied with his six-pack of Coca-Cola, which was conveniently kept in a cooler full of ice. He had the cooler placed underneath the front passenger side seat. Of course, with his diapers handy, Daniel had little reason to venture outside unless it was for showers, loading and unloading cargo, and stocking up on necessary supplies.

That was Daniel's strategy. Of course, not many truckers were as sophisticated in their planning. The veteran trucker optimized his daily life to cater to his basic needs and nothing more. He was satisfied. Still, he couldn't stop thinking about the coyote he met nearly a year ago. It was like yesterday when he discovered Rick, drunk and passed out in a bar restroom. From there, it quickly evolved into a friendship. Daniel was concerned about his friend's well-being and decided to return to the scene of the crime: where they first met. There was no guarantee that the 19-year-old would even be there, but Daniel hoped that somebody might know him or recognize him. Rick parted ways without leaving a phone number or any sort of trace for the trucker to follow. Daniel anticipated that nobody, at the bar, would know who Rick is. He wasn't from the area.

It was five in the afternoon and Daniel reached the end of his shift. He walked into the bar, wiped sweat off his forehead and sighed heavily once he entered the bar. The ceiling fans overhead were working fiercely to combat the stifling heat and the stench of sweat that lingered mercilessly in the air. He removed his sunglasses and sat at the bar with a crinkly thud. The leg gathers of his diaper bunched up, right underneath his scrotum. It was so hot that day that his sticky diaper felt like it was sewn into his fur. He gritted his teeth because of the discomfort and muttered incoherently to himself. Then he nodded to the bartender, who was washing a few mugs behind the counter.

"You again?" the bartender snarled playfully. "Haven't you had enough?"

"Apparently not," Daniel chuckled. "Liquor goes in. Liquor goes out."

"Can't drink the heat away, though."

"Maybe so, but if I had one Jack on the rocks -- I mean, like, one more over the line, I'll think that I'm in Cancun."

"Send me a postcard when you're there."

"Pour me one, and I'll be sure to deliver it."

Daniel paused and drummed his paws on the bar counter. He licked his lips, looked around the bar briefly and swiftly turned to the bartender. "Hey, uh... Bob, have you seen this 'yote, Rick, around here? He's shoulder height, kinda brown fur, likes sleeping in bathrooms."

"Oh, him?" said the bartender with his ears perked up. He shook his head. "That boy came in not too long ago. He handed me a piece of paper with a phone number on it. He told me to give it to you." He dug into his pocket and tossed a crumpled piece of paper on the counter. Daniel reached for it, tried flattening it out on the counter surface and looked at the phone number written on it. There was some handwriting underneath the phone number that was small. Daniel had to put the paper up to his muzzle to read the message. He could decipher only a part of it. What he could read was: "Let's keep in touch - R."

Daniel felt better, knowing that Rick was still around. However, the wolf took responsibility for not asking for his contact information when they last saw each other. Truthfully, he was worried about the coyote. But after having a drink, Daniel relaxed enough to take out his cell phone and call him. He finished his drink and dialed the number written down. He walked outside the bar with his paw up to his eyes in a vain attempt to block the scorching rays of the sun. He had the phone pressed to his ear as it kept ringing and ringing. No answer. Finally, it was picked up.

"Yessir?" Rick answered.

"Hey! It's my boy. This is Danny. How's it goin'?" said the wolf in a gruff, but slightly enthusiastic tone.

"Oh, I can't complain. You're in the area, I take it?"

"Yep. Just got the paper you left at Sweet Joe's Saloon."

"Right on. So, I'd love to chit-chat, but I'm on the road now. You know where Rockview is?"

"About an hour's drive west, yeah. Is that where you live?"

"At the moment. Got an apartment. Might have to get some air fresheners at the store if the diaper-dude is comin' over."

"What, in God's name, are you talkin' about? I don't stink," Daniel joked.

"Oh, no, no. My mistake. You shit roses and piss cologne."

"What's your address?"

"320 Park Street, Apartment C."

After the conversation ended, Daniel walked back inside the bar, paid for the Jack and told the bartender that he was going to leave it at one drink. Puzzled, the bartender shot back, "Only one? You ain't right, boy. Headin' to the dry cleaners to pick up your dress?"

Daniel laughed at that. "Me? Dress? C'mon!"

"You look pretty in pink."

Daniel reached in his pocket and pulled out a few dollars for the drink. "Here," said the wolf as he tossed the money onto the counter. "Buy yourself a lady." The wolf an the bartender shared a laugh.

To Daniel, getting in touch with his coyote friend was certainly a cause for celebration. He recently purchased two bags of diapers, which he didn't mind sharing. It was important for the lonesome trucker to stick with some company. Months of loneliness on the road took its toll. He avoided thinking about his situation by getting lost in some old-school bluegrass and 1950s rockabilly radio that played endlessly inside his cabin. From time to time, he thought about settling down with someone and having a serious relationship, but he'd later dismiss the sentiments as "lovey-dovey bullshit." Nonetheless, the wolf felt excited to meet up with Rick, something that felt like a giant step forward for his social life. He didn't want to publicly admit to that, though, since admitting to it would make him feel small.

He drove up the road and came across a weigh and fuel station. The law, in the state he was driving in, required all trucks exceeding 4,500 pounds to be inspected. The trucker sighed and pulled over to the weigh station, which was conveniently beside the highway he was traveling on. He looked at his dashboard for a quick second and noticed that he was almost out of gas. Once he pulled his truck up to an available scale, Daniel got out of his truck and stretched his arms. He yawned and leaned up against the truck's front door, waiting patiently for the scale to be activated. He looked up briefly and saw another trucker several feet in front of him, fueling his rig. Daniel put a paw over his eyes and squinted, looking at the other trucker who looked like he was wearing nothing but a shirt, underwear briefs, socks and hiking boots. The other trucker was a burly, male brown bear about six feet tall. Daniel couldn't help but wonder why the trucker dressed so provocatively like that, especially in the Bible Belt.

Upon closer inspection, Daniel noticed that the other trucker wasn't wearing briefs at all. It was a diaper! He barely recognized the bright blue tapes that covered the front of the bear's padding. He was in disbelief. He muttered, "No fucking way," before slowly approaching the guy. The bear, who acted casually and looked stoical in his large-fitting sunglasses, noticed Daniel walking toward him. The bear nodded his head as a silent greeting. He snickered as the wolf approached him.

"Hey, uh... when do you think you'll be done refueling?" asked Daniel.

"Depends on when you'll stop gawking at my 'lazypants,'" the bear chuckled. "Lazypants" is a term coined by truckers to describe diapers and truckers who were too "lazy" to visit a restroom. He looked down at Daniel's waist and tilted his head. "Oh, I see. Your elastic waistband is showing, bud." He pointed to Daniel's diaper waistband, which peeked over his jeans.

Daniel blushed, pulled up his jeans and tightened his belt. "Nice catch," said the wolf. "You have a lot of balls flaunting that in public."

The bear shrugged before removing the gas pump hose and finishing up on his rig's refueling. "It's hot 'round here."

"So?" Daniel didn't comprehend the response.

"Take off your jeans. Relax. In case you didn't notice, I don't give a shit. You think anyone here's gonna give one either? Worst they can do is point and laugh. Fuck 'em."

Daniel wanted to chide the bear for looking ridiculous, but deep down inside, the wolf liked what he saw. He was a little turned on by it too. Sure, wearing just a shirt and diaper around other truckers looked silly, unconventional and downright odd, the bear was a "dyed-in-the-wool" exhibitionist. He was calm, sure of himself and completely accepting of whatever came his way. In fact, the bear seemed to be making eye contact with other truckers who passed him by. Despite being open about his own diaper-wearing, Daniel exercised some restraint. He preferred to simply watch others reveal themselves. Similarly, when he first met Rick, Daniel witnessed the canid's transformation from uneasiness to acceptance, and from acceptance to interest. Here, Daniel was already face-to-face with someone whose was predisposed to shamelessness; not to mention the fact that he was fairly attractive for a middle-aged bear.

"You want this pump?" asked the bear. "Take off your jeans."

"Right here?" He was surprised at himself for even entertaining the idea.

"Right here. What's the hesitation for? Are you wet, messy, or something in between?"

Daniel blushed. He didn't want to come across as "chicken" so he quietly unfastened his belt, jerked down his jeans and kicked them off his ankles. And there he was: plaid shirt, thick disposable diaper with signs of wetness and an embarrassed wolf. He slowly swished his tail and nervously scratched the back of his ears. "Happy now?" asked Daniel.

"Nope." The bear opened up his truck door and hopped inside his cabin area momentarily.

The wolf stomped his foot angrily. "The Hell do you mean 'nope'?"

"Shut up for a second. Let me get something," he shouted to Daniel from inside the truck. When he came back outside, he had in his paws a Polaroid camera. He quickly raised the camera up to his muzzle and took a very revealing snapshot of Daniel in his diaper. The wolf was so shocked, he could barely process what just happened. The blood quickly left his face. He hurriedly jumped back into his pants and pulled them up. "What are you? Crazy?"

The bear calmly shook the Polaroid photo that he just took. "The name's Trevor, by the way."

"Daniel's mine," said the wolf with his arms crossed. "Oh, and why did you take a photo of me?"

"Enough with the questions. Can I call you Danny Boy?" asked Trevor before humming the classic Irish ballad.

Daniel shook his head and cracked a smile. "I can't believe this."

"Well, believe it."

"But I --"

"Stay crinkly, my friend." Trevor stepped back into his truck and closed the door. He poked his head out the passenger side window and told Daniel, "I'll catch you on the flip side, Danny Boy."

To Daniel, seeing another trucker in diapers was an unprecedented sight. It was also significant in that none of the truckers seemed to mind. As Trevor drove his rig toward the sunset, Daniel couldn't stop thinking about what happened. He carried on business as usual: getting the rig refueled and weighed. He chalked up his frazzled state of mind to the heat beating down on him. Once in a while, he tightened his belt and made sure that his diaper waistband wasn't hanging over his pants. There were times when he didn't want to wear pants, if abandoning social courtesy was ever an option. "I'll leave that up to Trevor," Daniel thought.

The route to Rockview was congested with bumper-to-bumper traffic. Daniel sat in the driver's seat, tapping his paws on the steering wheel while listening to some doo-wop classics from the 1950s. Though the air conditioner was running in full blast and the windows were rolled up, Daniel felt overheated. Since nobody could see him, Daniel removed his sweat-soaked shirt and let his furry body cool down. The jeans felt a little tight, so he removed those with some finesse. He remained seated as he slowly removed his jeans, folded them up and tossed them onto the passenger seat. Finally, he was down to his diapers -- and he didn't seem to mind. He rubbed his diaper for a moment to check for wetness. He wasn't wet enough to merit a change. He dripped throughout the ride to Rockview. As long as he was seated, Daniel didn't feel the urge to pee.

When he was with Rick, Daniel was more assertive and confident when it came to his diapers. When Rick discovered several pre-folded diapers placed on the floor of the passenger seat, he asked Daniel if he wore them. Daniel replied briskly, "Yes, I happen to wear diapers. You got a problem with that, boy?" and enjoyed watching the coyote sweat over the awkwardness. Since then, Daniel never thought twice about wearing them and owning up to it if someone asked, but he felt upstaged by the exhibitionist trucker, Trevor. He sincerely thought that his cockiness was his unique trademark. Knowing that there was another trucker out there who was into it as much as -- if not more than -- him, Daniel entertained the idea of a playful rivalry. But seeing Rick was more important. At least Daniel had a story to tell him.

Daniel loved his new smartphone. He loved doing various things on it, including map-viewing and getting directions. He typed in his route and his destination. According to the application he was using, he was in Rockview and was only minutes away from Rick's apartment. The wolf was getting a little aroused, just thinking about the things he wanted to do with Rick. What mattered to Daniel was his goal to make sure he spent some quality time with Rick. He was attracted to the 'yote and knew that the 'yote was interested in him. But after encountering Trevor, "Danny Boy" couldn't stop thinking about the sexually provocative bear. Daniel felt like he was being tested.

Without knowing exactly where Rick's apartment was, Daniel parked his rig in a mall parking lot and walked two blocks to Rick's apartment with a backpack full of diapers. He looked down at his clothes and wondered what it would be like to take it all off and walk around in his diaper. Daniel figured that he would be embarrassed. After all, what kind of masculine, scruffy-looking wolf would do such a thing? He blushed at the thought. It interested him. The idea of voluntarily taking one's clothes off and strutting around in diapers made Daniel feel powerful in that he could make that choice if he wanted to. At the same time, it would make him feel small, helpless and burdened. Then he imagined Rick in the same situation. "What fun that would be!" Daniel thought. As he visualized the mental image of Rick walking around in public wearing only a diaper, Daniel chuckled to himself.

He arrived at Rick's apartment and knocked on the 'yote's door.

"Who goes there?" asked Rick.

"The Pope."

"Shucks! I was hopin' you were the guy with the mutant baby diapers."

Rick unlocked and opened the door. When he saw the wolf, Rick opened his arms wide and embraced him. Daniel rubbed the 'yote's back and patted him a few times. Rick was smiling from ear to ear. He could barely contain his excitement, but he managed to maintain a relatively cool demeanor. Rick looked a little older compared to the last time they saw each other. He looked groomed and well-rested. Rick paused for a moment, looked at big Daniel in the eyes and gestured him to walk inside his apartment.

"Glad to see you, man," Rick said to Daniel.

"Oh yeah... it's been a while!"

Daniel closed the door behind him and walked around Rick's small living space. He looked around the living room, which was messy. The place was full of cardboard boxes, clothes, books and random electronics. It looked like Rick was in the process of moving everything into his apartment. Rick cleared some space on his coach for Daniel to sit down. The trucker flopped onto the couch with a loud, crinkly thud. Rick overheard the crinkling and chuckled.

"I have a bathroom, you know," joked Rick. "Just putting that out there."

"Thanks, but I'm already taken care of," replied Daniel, who patted his pants playfully.

"Good boy."

Daniel wagged his tail. "So what have you been up to?" he asked as he watched Rick walk into his kitchen to fetch a few cans of beer.

"Well, I've moved into my own place. Free, free at last! Then I got a job working bussing tables at Mel's Cantina up the road. I got promoted to manager-on-duty because I'm awesome, but you know that really. It's a little bit above minimum wage, but y'know, I'm scraping by. Breaking even, but always looking to make a little cash on the side somewhere."

Daniel took a beer from Rick, who passed him by from behind and dangled the can beside the side of the wolf's head. The coyote walked around the couch, opened up the beer and took a sip. He chose to stand in a corner of the living room, facing Daniel.

"That's great!"

"You?"

Daniel cleared his throat before taking a refreshing sip of beer. Once his thirst was quenched, he set the beer down on Rick's coffee table. "I've been truckin' along. Working and --" The trucker belched suddenly and loudly.

Rick was amused. "You don't say?"

Daniel tapped his chest as he felt gaseous pressure escaping his chest. "Yeah. She couldn't believe how huge it was!"

They laughed for a few minutes.

"Okay, okay. I have to know something. What's in the bag?" asked Rick.

Daniel unzipped the backpack, which was on the floor beside his legs. Rick came over to inspect the backpack's contents. There were several diapers neatly stacked; complete with baby powder, wipes and skin lotion. Rick gave a thumbs up before having a seat beside Daniel.

"Nice!" Then a thought came to him. "Oh! That reminds me... A little while ago, I bumped into this dude at the restaurant. He was this big guy. He walks into the place. I look down at his waist for a second, and I'm like, 'Holy cow! He's got a diaper on!'"

The wolf's eyes got big. "No kidding!"

"No pants, no shorts. Not even short-shorts. Just a t-shirt and a diaper! The customers looked at him, then looked me while I was looking at him in shock. The guy had balls, man. Balls! Coconut-sized ones."

"Wait!" Daniel covered his maw for a second. "Let me guess. He's a bear, a little on the older side. Brown-colored fur? Sunglasses?"

Rick pointed to Daniel. "Nailed it! You know that guy?"

"I bumped into him on the way here."

"Figures," joked the coyote.

"I just parked my rig on a scale at a weigh station in Louisville. Right next to the station is a few diesal pumps. One of them was occupied by this rig. And I see this guy, just standing there in a diaper -- and I'm thinkin', 'This can't be real.'"

Rick laughed. "When there's a lot of heat and you're under the sun for a while, people start seeing things."

"I know, right? So I was walking up to this guy, still not completely sure that he was wearing a diaper. And sure enough..."

Rick shook his head. "Did you catch his name?" he asked.

"Trevor."

Rick snapped his fingers and pointed to Daniel. "Trevor Irons?"

Daniel shrugged. "I guess so, I --"

"My boss told me about him. Told me he's a freak, but tips well and is friendly."

"As long as he doesn't leak on the seat, right?"

Rick chuckled and nodded. "He comes in, I believe, every Tuesday."

"That's tomorrow."

"What do you think we should do, Daniel?"

"Let's pay him a visit. For now, let's have a few drinks and enjoy the rest of the night."

Because he had the rest of the week off, Daniel asked Rick if he could spend the night in his apartment. Rick happily obliged. The trucker was relieved that he could spend at least one night inside more spacious living quarters instead of his cabin. He was also tired of all the driving he had to do; it was taking a toll on him on a day-to-day basis. He went to sleep that night, feeling wasted and overheated from spending all day under the harsh sun. The two things that aided his transition into sleep was the ceiling fan overhead and his cozy diaper. The wolf sprawled out on Rick's couch with a pillow to rest his head. He tossed and turned on the couch until he finally settled on a comfortable position and fell asleep.

Half-asleep, Rick stumbled out of his bedroom around midnight to check on his padded buddy. By then, Daniel was out cold. The 'yote looked over the couch and saw Daniel drooling in his sleep and snoring loudly. Rick smiled and wandered back into his bedroom. He walked through his short hallway with his diaper on. He pulled up his waistband while he dragged his tired feet into bed. He had trouble sleeping, even though the four cans of beer he had earlier should have already knocked him out. He was excited to finally see Daniel again. He was also excited that he was in diapers again. He didn't wear any since he saw Daniel last. Despite his drunken haze, Rick's mind was swirling with seemingly random thoughts. He didn't want to admit to it, but Rick was wide awake.

As he struggled to fall asleep in bed, Rick felt his stomach aching. He had some fast food for dinner: cheeseburger, fries and a large soda. It didn't seem to agree with him. He tried to ride out the pain by laying on his back motionless with a thin blanket covering his body. The pain got worse. He started to sweat and his heart was beating quickly. Along with the gnawing pain in his stomach, he suffered a heartburn. He cursed silently to himself while he rolled off the bed. He was about to walk to the bathroom and check his medicine cabinet for gas relief medication when he stopped. The rumbling in his stomach had turned into a feeling that something needed to be expelled; something large and unpleasant. Right away, he realized that he had a diaper on.

Squatting down beside his head, Rick dared his body to completely let go of everything that was bubbling inside of him. A few muffled farts erupted out of his protected tailhole. He bent his knees a little lower. Finally, he felt a solid load discharge very quickly into his diaper. He could feel the diaper expand in the back for a brief moment before the bulge withdrew itself and the mess flattened out. Before he could feel the result of his dirty deed with his paws, Rick started peeing uncontrollably. He kept thinking, "I'm so dirty!" as he wet the diaper. It could barely be seen because all the lights were off in his apartment, but Rick was developing a damp wet spot in his diaper that expanded out. It only took a few seconds before the lettering on the diaper, which showed the brand name, was blurred into a blue blotch. The light yellow wetness indicators faded. The diaper was getting heavier and heavier, packed with musky coyote piss. He was wetting so much that he was concerned about leaks. He aggressively groped his diaper crotch, hoping the flow would stop. When it did, Rick sighed in relief. There were no leaks. His diaper was completely full.

He took the momentum and reached into his diaper to jack off. He stood up, grabbed his already-hard shaft and stroked himself a few times. And that's all it took. He ejaculated several times all over his chest. He looked down at his cum-soaked shaft as he ejaculated. You could see the whites of his big eyes as he witnessed his own strong climax, which nearly brought him to his knees. He panted heavily like he was dehydrated for several days. His eyes rolled to the back of his head as he felt the warm afterglow of his orgasm, which nicely complimented the feeling of wearing a thick and outrageously damp diaper. But suddenly, the joy he experienced was cut short when his saw big Daniel standing in the hallway. The wolf watched nearly the entire ordeal. He applauded with a slow clap before walking into Rick's bedroom.

"Feeling better?" he asked Rick.

Rick nodded. "God yes," he mumbled back with intoxicated slurring. "I thought yer asleep, no?"

"I smelled something funny," said Daniel with a smile.

"Wonder what that could be..."

"Need a change, bud?"

"I can do it, but --"

Daniel chuckled. "No, no you can't. I don't trust you."

Daniel yawned as he walked to his backpack full of diapers. He retrieved one and walked back to Rick's bedroom. He had the coyote lay in bed on his back. Daniel untaped the stinky diaper. Once he unfastened the tapes in the front, the wolf caught a whiff of something fierce. He jerked his head back and held his nose. "Hot damn!" he exclaimed to Rick. "You sure know how to leave an impression."

He slowly removed the diaper from underneath Rick's tailhole. Immediately when he saw the big present that Rick left behind, Daniel hurriedly folded up the diaper, tied up the tapes and tossed the professedly demon-possessed undergarment into a nearby trashcan. He jogged back into the living room to retrieve his backpack, which contained some wipes and baby powder. As tired as he was, Daniel knew he had to do some major clean-up work. He took out the wipes and gently applied them on Rick's messy rump. Fortunately, he got most of the mess off of Rick's fur after a few strokes. He used another wipe to rub around the coyote's stale-scented crotch. That part was easier to do because it was less intimidating.

Rick blushed and thanked Daniel.

"Sometimes, I guess... it's a little easier to change your own messy diaper." Daniel was generously understating it.

"I should've pooped more," Rick teased.

Daniel sprinkled some baby powder around Rick's waist, rubbed it into his fur and skin. Rick sneezed.

"At least it's not cocaine," joked Rick, who had a little powder under his nostrils.

Daniel shook his head at that line. "You're drunk and you're still this funny? Not good!" he cackled.

"Hurry up!" Rick whined. That was the last thing he said before falling asleep.

Daniel noticed that Rick was sleeping by how lifeless and heavy his body became. "Now what?"

Daniel unfolded the new diaper, laid it out, and raised up Rick's waist so he could slide the back of the diaper underneath him. He quietly connected the tapes from back to front while Rick inhaled and exhaled heavily, but peacefully. The trucker could hear a few birds chirping outside Rick's bedroom window, followed by the sound of a few cars driving around. When he was done changing Rick, Daniel leaned over and kissed the young coyote on the forehead, rubbed his headfur and went back to the couch. Once he flopped back down on the couch, Daniel fell asleep without much hesitation.

The alarm clock next to Rick's bed buzzed for several seconds. It was seven in the morning and the coyote had to go to work for his nine o'clock shift. The buzzing woke up Daniel, who slowly got up from the coach and walked to Rick's bedroom. As he made his way through the hallway, the wolf rubbed his eyes, scratched his armpits and checked his diaper to see if he was wet. Sure enough, he was; it was damp from front to back. When he got to Rick's bedroom, Daniel noticed that the 'yote was snoring heavily despite the loud buzzing. He checked the clock, found the snooze button and pressed it. The alarm stopped, but Rick was still asleep. Daniel chuckled a little as he formulated a plan to wake up his sleepy friend.

Daniel took his finger and moved it around the 'yote's muzzle as if it was a pestering fly. He also made a buzzing noise to make the impersonation more realistic. "Bzzt-bzzt-bzzt!" Rick subconsciously tried swatting Daniel's finger away, but the wolf persisted and tried his hardest to maintain his composure. After a short while, Daniel delicately placed his finger on Rick's nose. Rick sniffled a little. Suddenly, Daniel pinched his nose, and that caused Rick to slap his own face. Rick jolted his body up in bed, opened his eyes wide and saw Daniel standing over him, laughing hysterically. Rick flipped him off and turned to his side. He was about to close his eyes again, but Daniel reminded him that he had to get up for work. Rick snarled at Daniel and got out of bed.

When he pushed the blanket off of his body, Rick looked down at his diaper. He was dry. He was sure that he soiled it the night before.

"Wasn't I...?" Rick pointed to his diaper.

"Yeah. You kinda were."

"You changed me?"

"Had to. Otherwise, I would have confused you for a very angry skunk. How's your hangover?"

Rick rubbed his head. "Not as bad as I thought it would be."

Daniel left the bedroom so Rick could get ready for work. Meanwhile, Daniel combed through Rick's fridge to find a drink to wet his whistle. By the time he came across a bottle of beer -- something good enough to chase away his own hangover -- Rick made his way into the shower. This was an opportunity for the trucker to change out of his diaper and relax.

As he tried changing his diaper on Rick's couch, Daniel analyzed his current situation. He was enjoying the time he spent with Rick. He considered him a friend, but over time, he was developing feelings for the guy -- strong feelings. He appreciated Rick's youthful charm and easy-going nature. He knew that Rick had feelings toward him. Why else would the coyote let his guard down so much around him? There was chemistry. There was no denying it. He was unsure whether he should be the one who breaks the ice. He didn't want to come across as too aggressive, despite the fact that he'd been longing for some affection. After spending days -- sometimes weeks and months -- on the road, Daniel really wanted to settle down with someone. Rick was the one that he wanted to settle down with.

He imagined spending a night together in bed, padded up and under the sheets. In his ideal scenario, Rick would rest his muzzle on top of Daniel's diaper and sniff it. He would also rub Rick's diaper slowly at first, making sure that he stroked around the horny wolf's shaft, which was constantly brushing up against the warm, damp surface. Another scenario involved Rick laying on top of Daniel. Rick would be laying on his back and Daniel would wrap his paws around the coyote's diaper. Both his diaper and Rick's would be touching. He would wait patiently until the coyote wet himself. Ideally, Rick would wet so profusely that his diaper leaked on top of Daniel; in turn, Daniel would tease Rick for wetting the bed. The wolf got so preoccupied with all that daydreaming, he forgot to apply the tapes of his diaper. He laid on the couch, looking happily befuddled.

Yet Daniel felt out of place. Being inside housing seemed foreign to him. He wasn't in a hotel room, and he wasn't in his cabin. At first, the wolf didn't feel like he belonged here -- but he knew the feeling stemmed from his inability to stay in one place consistently. He was always on the move because that was the nature of his job. He liked the idea of waking up in the morning, knowing he didn't have to drive from destination to destination -- and continue living in an infinite loop. He looked around the coyote's apartment, studied the walls and the peace contained within him. He checked his phone for voicemails from work. There weren't any. All he heard was the sound of water pouring onto a bathtub in a bathroom just a few feet away. With that sound in mind, Daniel closed his eyes and meditated. He inhaled generously and exhaled masterfully. He could do so without feeling a sense that he was being rushed or under some tedious, repetitive obligation that always snowballed into a seemingly endless cycle of driving.

By the time Rick got out of the shower, Daniel was fully dressed and drinking a bottle of beer. Dripping wet, Rick walked over to Daniel with a towel wrapped around his waist, snatched the beer out of the wolf's paws and took a swig. He handed the beer back to Daniel, smiled and walked into the bedroom. As he got into his clothes, Rick spoke to Daniel.

"So, what happened last night?" Rick asked.

"I'm not saying anything," Daniel replied coyly.

"One thing's for sure, and that there's a dirty diaper in the trash -- and I assume that's mine, right?"

"Yes sir..."

"Was I well-behaved?"

"More or less," Daniel snickered.

They left Rick's apartment ten minutes before nine. Appearing in his work uniform, Rick walked into Mel's Cantina with Daniel by his side. Rick walked behind the front counter where there was a cash register and a flat-screen computer that managed the restaurant's daily operations. Rick clocked in for his shift, pressed a few keys and logged into the system. Daniel stood with his paws in his pockets, looking around and checking out the atmosphere. The restaurant wasn't open yet, but the cooks and dishwashers were busy in the kitchen, doing prep work. Daniel drummed his fingers on the front counter as Rick moved around the restaurant, making sure all the tables were properly stocked with utensils, napkins and condiments. He checked the till to make sure he had enough cash. He checked the credit card processing terminal to see if it was in operation. Once he determined that everything was operational, Rick turned on the overhead lights, ceiling fans and some old-fashioned Mexican folk music, which immediately agitated the wolf.

Daniel noticed how much his coyote friend changed since they last saw each other. Though he retained his sense of humor, Rick was more responsible and alert. At a young age, Rick had earned enough money to pay for rent, keep a roof over his head and drink himself into a fine stupor without the gnawing feeling that he was being derelict in his responsibilities. He was impressed with the 'yote's determination to be successful.

Then, for a moment, Daniel looked at himself in contrast. He played out his life in his head several times, but he was starting to loosen his grip on the steering wheel. He really didn't want to be a trucker anymore. "It's been a good run," the wolf thought. Because he was with Rick and had some time off, Daniel had the luxury of hearing his own thoughts play out. He had the opportunity to weigh the pros and cons. That morning, he thought about the pros. Daniel wanted to be around company, even if said company had smelly diapers that needed changing once in a while. He could handle it. He also wanted to immerse himself in nature and get lost somewhere. In order to do those things, Daniel realized that he needed a new job; something that matched or exceeded his earnings as a trucker. Fortunately for him, Daniel squirreled away a lot of money. Because he was always on the road, Daniel slept mostly in his truck cabin and rarely in a hotel room. He did, however, spend generously on diaper cases and related accessories.

The restaurant opened at ten, and customers came pouring into the restaurant. Rick helped wait the tables with staff while Daniel watched with his arms crossed, smiling warmly. Daniel never stood idly by to watch the ebb and flow of restaurant business before. He found it all to be too chaotic for his tastes, but he admired Rick for handling the pressure and owning it gracefully. Because he was around so many people, Daniel grew a little self-conscious about his diaper wearing. Despite being a diaper-dependent creature, Daniel remained courteous and caring for others around him. That's why he would always freeze when he wet his diaper around people. He felt guilty for doing it, but that guilt would always manifest into warm satisfaction. It was what some call a guilty pleasure.

Feeling that he was wearing out his welcome in the restaurant, Daniel left and sat outside on a bench that was close to the front door. He stared at the traffic passing by. Some people were driving faster and more frantically than others. Others were driving too slowly and impeding the flow of traffic. Daniel aptly called this the "clusterfuck of his life" since he's spent several years living on the road. God forbid people would obey the traffic laws and not cause so many headaches. As he was caught in the disarray of vehicular madness, Daniel started wetting his diaper.

He wet like a broken faucet shooting out water from its nozzle into a plastic-covered sink bowl. The soggy diaper fizzled with a low-toned hissing noise and expanded simultaneously. He closed his eyes and sighed meditatively while he relieved himself. Underneath his pants, Daniel's diaper was getting damper, darker and drooping lower. He wet so much that an outline of his sheath was slightly visible. The absorbent layer, which showcased the diapers bulkiness, had nearly disappeared because of the extensive wetting. He instinctly rubbed his diapered crotch to make sure that he wasn't going to leak through his jeans. Then he realized that he was able to pee while sitting for the first time in months. He celebrated his strange accomplishment by sitting quietly, enjoying the musky wolf scent that lingered around him. "I'm a good puppy," he concluded.

Trevor parked his rig in front of Mel's Cantina and came to a screeching halt. This snapped Daniel out of his daze.

Just as Rick said he would, the diapered bear appeared. As he walked up to the restaurant -- dressed in his usual t-shirt and diaper -- Trevor noticed Daniel. "Danny Boy!"

Daniel rose up from the bench and shook the bear's paw. "Well look who showed up!" said the wolf cheerfully. "Guess somebody forgot to wear some pants today."

Trevor chuckled and shrugged. "Who needs pants? It's hot out here! Speaking of 'hot,' how about you come inside and grab a bite with me -- or did you already?"

Daniel shook his head. "No, no." The trucker opened up the door for Trevor. "Ladies first."

Inside, Rick stood by the front door with two menus ready for the two gentlemen. "Party for two?"

"Or how about three?" said Trevor. He came up to Rick and gave him a suggestive grope of his backside. A loud crinkling noise ensued and the coyote blushed. "My little pet."

Daniel's jaw dropped. He pointed to Rick and then to Trevor. "Pet?" he said, looking at the 'yote.

"Can we talk about this later, Dan?" Rick muttered.

"I would like to, yes."

"Oh-ho-ho! So you two know each oth -- oh, so you're THE Daniel?" Trevor slapped his forehead and laughed heartily, unfazed by the sudden awkwardness between Rick and Daniel. "That's great. That's really, really great. What a small world!"
