#13 of Internal Auditor

The consequences and fate of everyone is intertwined into one. The series continues.

Another chapter and dare I say, this is the penultimate. It has been a long ride through this series but the following chapter shall be the last. So, with that, I present to you this poorly written piece. Hah! Take that!

Internal Auditor 13

Black blinked as the image of the room slowly registered to his vision. A few blinks later and he had to cover his eyes as the sun beamed its morning rays upon him. Groaning in silence, he finally realized where he was. He was finally back at home, on a bed, with a comfortable blanket and warmth of the sun. Days before, the hospital facility was his only means of resting. Now, since he's been back home for two days, he was more than happy to feel the joy and pain of recovery.

Try as he might to rise from bed, his chest hurts like a bitch. At least he was alive. The thoughts of being shot continued to haunt his memories. Shaun, with the gun, about to click on the trigger and within instinct, he lunged forward to take a bullet for Smith. The bullet shot through his hardened skin and as far as he remembered, copious amount of blood oozed from his chest. By then, he had lost consciousness but before his vision fade, Blake was there. If he were to die from such a shot and without the presence of his brother, he may not leave in peace.

Now, he was glad that he was alive. Scooting to the other side of the bed, he grumbled at the sun's annoying rays. It practically blinded him. A knock came and he turned, smiling in exhilaration at the man that stood by the door.

"Glad that you're finally awake," his brother placed a tray of food on the table before sitting by his side. "How are you?"

"Never better," Black smiled.

"Pfft. Liar." Blake playfully punched on his arm.

"Argh! My arm! You've killed it!"

"Shut it," Blake smiled and kissed on his forehead. "It's your chest that hurt, not your arm. Get your anatomy facts right."

"What if my chest muscles are connected to my arm?"

"What if they aren't?"

"What if they are?"

"What are you going to do about it?" Blake moved in closer as their nose touched.

Black thought for a while. "I'll do this." And pulled him to a kiss.

Blake was slightly taken aback but he had yet to pull away. Why would he? Rather than arguing, he might as well give him the love that was deprived since his landing in the hospital. His fingers caressed against his head while tilting to the side, moaning with both eyes closed to feel the impact of his lips. Those tender and loving lips, up against his, the love that emits from their bond; it was utterly perfect. Words could not describe the escalating needs that he had lost few months ago from him.

When he was shot, Blake was nearly at lost. Even during surgical operation, he was tensed and kept praying that Black was alright. When he appeared, he thanked the gods that he was saved. All he needed was a heavy rest and with luck, he would be able to move about as usual in a few months. That was months ago and now; he's here, back on the bed that they called home.

After a while, their lips pried apart and a line of saliva connected between their lips. Blake had to lick it off and chuckled. "Guess you're healed in terms of kissing."

"Oh?" Black had wrapped his arms around the rhino's neck. "My kissing skill never left but I do miss those tender lips of yours. They are so subtle and tasty."

"Brother, flattery don't get you anywhere with me."

"But they do have an effect on you." Black noted at the stirring on his brother's crotch.

"Tsk, that's cause I've not taken care of that for a while now." Blake blushed and sat by his side.

"My oh my, such patience," Black drew his hooved paw on the rhino's bulge. "Must be aching for it, huh?"

Blake blushed even more but does not push that paw away. He was right in every sentence. Even though the urge was there to masturbate but the thought of his brother quickly pushed it off. There was no pleasure in self-indulgence if someone that you care dearly for was in bed and in pain. Now, however, Black was awake and partially back to his usual self. The wounds were healed but it left a scar from the operation. It hurts him to know that he was shot from such a noble act. The more he thought about it, the angrier he got with Shaun.

He gripped on his brother's paw and clenched, slightly boiled at the thought of the wolf. Black sensed his insecurity. "Are you angry?"

"Brother, I am angry at the man that shot you."

Black sighed. "Brother, do not look back on the past. Sure, I could have died but he's been arrested and in prison, isn't he? As far as I know, a trial should have been given. Unless, of course, Basil turned the table around."

Blake shook his head in disagreement. "Apparently, Shaun's plan didn't work. He was jailed, yes but Basil did nothing to bail him out. He destroyed all evidence that he had between him and his son. Everything was destroyed, even his identity. For now, Shaun is nothing but an outcast of the public."

"I... see..."

"Why are you so concern?"

Black smiled and held on to his paw. "Just wanted to get informed and up to date. Guess we're back to our old lives, living at this place."

"You're not happy with what we have here?" Blake asked.

"I am. This is our home, a roof over our heads but at times, I wished we had more."

"Mmm...." Blake kissed on his forehead. "Well, guess what, we have enough. Before things went into chaos, I managed to bank in those cheques and they are cleared. So, once you've recovered, we'll get better things." He laughed.

His brother nodded and landed another kiss upon his lips. "You're just as handsome as I have looked at you before passing out."

"And so have you..." Blake leaned close and returned to a kiss of passion that burned within his soul.

In the end, both brothers couldn't contain their act of lust and finally freed themselves of the garments that clung on to their bodies. Blake was stripped down to nothing while Black lay in bed with only a pair of boxers. Their grins were obvious and they roamed about, hitting spots that turned each other on completely. Blake had his fingers against his brother's boxer and the outline of his enraged cock throbbed with each touch. If those moans were any indication, he swore that Black would have cummed right then and there. After months of sexual deprivation, it was doubtful that both of them could hold on for long.

Each gentle touch of their rough hide turned from a lustful moan to a long passionate session of make out. Black wrapped his paw against his brother's raging erection and in minutes, streams of pre drizzled from the tip, causing more than just a moan of desire. Blake cursed aloud and looked down at the result from just one touch, panting and groaning in need. Without a moment to lose, the injured rhino quickly gave hard and rough strokes upon that shaft and Blake had to hold on to his brother to keep himself steady. By then, his eyes were rolled back as the joy of pleasure surged through his senses. Droplets of pre had begun to mat upon his brother but Black took no heed of it. All he wanted now was to make him cum.

Blake hissed and clenched his teeth out of desperation. It was only a few minutes and he was about to explode? Where was his endurance! Long before this, he could have lasted for an hour and that was with heavy amount of pleasure and desire but this, the slightest bit of ministration on his cock placed heavy burden upon it. He looked back up, gazing into the eyes of his significant other. With mouth opened wide, his tongue rolled out, saliva dripping from tongue tip.

Try as he might to suppress the urge, it kept coming more and more. Black's skilled paw wasn't something that should be looked down upon. It was pleasing and yet, rough on the edges. His thumb played terrible games on the head and teased on its slit, milking another load of pre. From slow and heavy strokes, he finally pushed to the next level. With a pawful, Black rapidly pumped against the shaft.

"Fuck... fuck... A-Ahh..." Blake cried aloud.

"Kiss me."

Without hesitation, he did. Their lips intertwined and danced a song of love as the paw continued pleasuring. Soon... the end was coming. Blake moaned in the kiss and tried as much as he could to keep himself quiet. Alas, it was more than he could handle. With eyes closed and pushing down to his brother's lips, he burst and cried deeply. Strands of desire spurts forth from the tip and matted against their chest. Ropes after ropes landed and it doesn't seem to stop. Blake cried out even more but Black held on to him, continuously kissing to taste the love of orgasm that flowed through his body. Even after the initial spurt, the rhino kept going on. By the tenth shot or so, Blake began to convulse and landed on Black's body, placing pressure upon his injured body.

He hissed but paid no heed to it. For now, he had finally pleased his brother sexually. The warmth of his cum painted against his bare torso and he didn't mind it one bit. To him, it was a symbol of intimacy that he had between two brothers. No one could take that away from him. Eventually, Blake recovered from his orgasm. "Guess I needed that."

Black laughed. "Yeah, you do."

"Sorry about landing on you like that. Guess... I didn't have any self-restrain when I'm up against you, brother."

"Shh... it's alright. Don't fret."

Blake went silent for a moment. "Would you... like me to finish you?"

Black stroked against the rhino's head and smiled, practically enjoying it all. "Yes. Yes I would."

Hedging.

Everything boils down to hedging for most companies. Buy low and sell high. Profits all the way from the beginning till the end and when the ends does not justify the means, take up more hedge. By then, at least one would be successful and with each financial asset, one must be careful enough to see what the risk lays.

"Bonds, funds, pensions, debentures; every financial assets must be accounted for and hedging helps by instilling a derivative hedge to the cash flow." Basil spoke to the crowd.

At least a hundred of reporters and observers with interest over his speech were present. The famous wolf was to explain about the latest major investment that he had over several companies and with the help of his son's fallen organization, it served as a stepping ground for everything. More and more were present in the very hall and plenty of questions were answered smoothly without hesitation. To him, it was all about confidence.

In an hour's time, he was done. Reporters were made to leave the room as Basil returned back to his waiting vehicle. As he approached the exit, a striped man stood in the way, alongside with a great wolf. Basil stopped in his tracks and chuckled softly. His guards were ready to take out these two intruders but he had something else in mind.

"Why don't we talk over a cup of coffee?"

Smith stepped forth. "Why don't we talk now?"

The guards flinched with both fist held up. "Get out of the way if ya' know what's good for ya'."

"Why don't you make us?" The wolf beside Smith cracked his knuckles and snarled angrily.

"Voden, no need for violence." Basil spoke and turned to his two guards. "I will be alright. Just wait for me in the car. I'll be with you soon enough."

Despite his guard's uncertainty and insistent to stay on, they eventually heed to his words and trusted the man. The two walked off with one hissing nearby Smith, taunting him with a death and glare. Smith looked away and shook his head. This obviously wasn't going to go well. Once the door was closed, the three were alone at last. Basil leaned to a wall and lit up a cigarette, puffing off smoke and sighed in relieve.

"So, what brings you here? If you're attending the public interview, it's over. I don't do reruns."

"We are not interested in your petty ways of claiming victory," Voden crossed his arms. "You have gotten more than what you have. Your ideals have won you once more."

Basil laughed heartedly. "My ideals? Voden, I have only one ideal: make more money."

"And you did that by neglecting your son." Smith snapped.

"What do you have against my son, huh? You his boyfriend or something? The last I remembered, you hated him. You were the one who wanted to stop him from all those 'bad' things and get him to justice. Now you have. Why do you care?"

"I care because I do not want him to lose the only father that he has in this world." The tiger retorted swiftly.

Basil puffed a ring of smoke and shook his head. "What happens in my personal life isn't of your concern, Mr. Smith. I know you. I know about your past, I know about your father as well. A jolly good man as I can remember but alas, we only met once. Quite the man..." and he points at Smith. "Just like you."

Smith clenched both paws together to form a fist. He didn't know the words to fight back. What he said was true and the truth does hurt him in a way. Yes, he angry and spiteful against Shaun but after knowing much about his father and how family is to him, he just had to help the poor man. Shaun was alone. No, he wasn't just alone but sad and deprived of love. The only one to shower him with it was this bastard but he did nothing to help him out.

Voden placed a paw on the tiger's shoulder and nodded. "Basil. I know that this is out of our hands but your son will be in court within a week. It's obvious that he's given you more money but why not take him as the son that he is, to you?"

"Because if I do, I will be going against my ideal," the last puff of smoke and he threw the stub away, stepping the final flame off. "I will lose everything."

"Then, you're no better off than just a leech. You're no idol, not even worthy of looking up to. You're just a filthy bastard who gets off from money," Smith spat out. "Money isn't everything. Money cannot buy you love and family. Money cannot - "

"Take it." Basil threw a stack of bills at him, smirking as it fell to the ground like pieces of paper. "Money means nothing to me. You don't know me. Don't judge." The wolf walked off with both paws in pocket. "Take them. Treat yourself to some fancy dinner or some sort. I don't need it. Careful though. There are a few hundreds in there. Don't want you getting robbed in the middle of the street or something." He opened the door and looked back, smiling. "Welcome to the world of hate and misery, Mr. Smith."

The door closed and the sound echoes through the hallway. Smith punched to nearest wall and gritted his teeth. For now, there was nothing else he could do but watch Shaun fall into the pitfall of death. Try as he might to save an innocent soul, Basil was uncouth. He may look like a man of class but all he has inside are the greed of humanity. Looking over to the bunch of money that was thrown at him, he sighed and picked them up, collecting every pieces of fouled paper.

"Smith..." Voden sighed and helped picking the rest up. "There is nothing we can do. I should have seen this coming earlier. Who would have thought that things turned up this way? I know I didn't."

"It's not your fault, Voden," The last bill was taken and neatly stacked into a bunch. "It was just unexpected. I should have known about it too but I failed as an auditor. Nobody likes an internal auditor."

"Not true. Speedy loves you."

"Yeah. Only an auditor will love an auditor. God, I'm such an idiot."

Voden pat on his back and smiled. "Come. We must be off. Your tiger is waiting." He held up the money. "Charity?"

Smith nodded. "Charity." And they were off to the outside.

It may look like a grim future for just one man but for many others, it was a new beginning. Basil managed to pull the economy back to the way it was and without the knowledge of many others as to how it happened. The name of just one man shall forever be in the depth of its creator's shadow, taking in all the glory that was supposed to be his; left to die with no one to care for. It seems that money, once again, triumph over what's good.

Shaun was shoved to the court room with force till he had to stumble forward and hold on to a railing to keep his balance. His court trial was today and based on the amount of evidence found against him, he doubt that this was going to be a long verdict. Heck, probably the shortest court case in history. He looked downwards to his feet to refrain from identifying anybody else in the room. Even in his situation, he had his pride to protect. He was partially ashamed of the deeds that he had done but he did it for a reason.

A paw landed on his shoulders and he looked towards the owner. Iris was standing next to him with a morning cheerful smile. The hawk tried to lift his spirit as high as possible but knowing the circumstances and end result, it may not be possible. Even so, he tried his best. Iris nodded. "I will be here. Don't worry."

Shaun sighed to himself. Everything would be over soon. Soon enough, I'll be at my rightful place in this rotten greedy world.

A bang came from the judge's seat and the case proceeded forth. One by one evidence was thrown at him and it was clear that he was guilty in all cases. It wasn't surprising when he saw a few witness called forth, whom were the ones that worked for him. They spoke with arrogance and acted as if they were innocent, pointing fingers accusingly at him. Better yet, he was accused of actions that he did not do. Lies after lies were thrown at him but nothing could be done to protect his welfare. In the eyes of the jury, he was already guilty.

After much evaluation, his lawyer came forth to plead innocent on him. Of course, he hadn't had enough evidence to cover everything up and in the end, he lost as well. Shaun gritted his teeth and tried to hold himself from punching on the railing that kept him off from the public. He was angry at such accusation that came from his helpers and they did nothing to make it lighter. Instead, they poured oil towards burning fire.

Well by noon, it was lunch break and the jury had time to think about their decisions. Knowing the consequences, they wouldn't need too long of a time. Iris brought him out from the cubicle and placed him a scheduled place that was designated for a criminal like him. The room was much better than the prison cell he was used to. A chair and table, that's a must and the room was adorn with a few beautiful lights and furniture. If he didn't know any better, the stuff in here was fully refurbished.

Iris closed the door and hugged at the wolf tightly. "How are you feeling?"

Shaun sighed once more, hesitantly gripping on his feathered paw. "Not so good. Father didn't even come for the trial to make things better. I doubt he would. Knowing father, he's going to leave me to rot in hell."

"No... Shaun... you're not. I am here, by your side." He hugged tighter still.

"Iris... we..." Shaun paused midway. "We cannot be together. Please don't make it harder than it is now."

"But why? Because of my status?"

"No, because of my situation. You cannot love a man that's going to be in prison for life."

"Then, I shall be your warden till you're out of here. I can do that. I will make it happen."

Shaun tried to pry himself away but the man's grip was far tighter than he thought it would be. He kept fighting back, fighting back the urge to just leave this place and get a new home; to start anew with a new name, address, no relatives, no relationship; just him alone to burden no one. To be in a relationship meant commitment but he just couldn't commit as much. He was nothing more than a useless piece of garbage that his father had brought into this world. Who would love him when his only father had not shown his love?

Not only that, he was going to be placed in prison for the rest of his life.

"Please stop. You're hurting yourself."

Iris didn't let go, nor did he retaliate. Instead, he held on and nuzzled against his neck, churring at the wolf's smooth pelt, inhaling the scent that belonged to him. Their bodies backed up together, his feathered paw going under the Shaun's shirt, massaging at his chest and middle torso, feeling up against his wonderful stature. He couldn't take no for an answer. This was his fantasy and dream since he started seeing him. From the first day he laid eyes on him, he knew how sophisticated and far from reach this wolf was. But now, at this moment, he had him wrapped around his arms. It may not be consensual but it was a dream fulfilled.

"I will protect you, as the knight that I am." Iris whispered.

Shaun stopped fighting back and hung his head low, unable to break free any longer. "Do whatever you want. I have no fight against you." And a river of tears ran down his cheek. "You will regret the day you muttered those words."

Iris smiled and continued to show his passion for the wolf. "Doesn't matter. I may regret it but I know that I've found the one that filled the void that is in my heart."

Things has gone to past and time flew by as it went. Soon enough, it was back to the court. As soon as his lawyer came forth to retort any defenses to prove him as innocent, the counter party called forth more witnesses to backfire at him. Each word spoken felt like a daggers through his heart and all these while, he trusted them with his life. However, it was not surprising that they were to do the same to him as he has done the same as to them. They wanted the money that they had earned from laundering the financial assets but he kept them all to himself, not giving a single cent but placed them under contract paper as share option.

To them, that was uncalled for and now, this was their form of revenge to get back against him. When the last witness has spoken, his lawyer had nothing more to say or refute. He sat there, with head hung low and taking short glances towards Shaun. Shaun had lost. He had finally lost the case and the points and accusation has been evaluated. The judge has made his final decision and with a knock from the hammer, he was found guilty and sentenced to prison for about twenty years.

Shaun was stripped off any assets that belonged to him and had nothing more than just the clothing behind his back. Now, his new home waits in prison.

"Case Dismissed."

Those were the judge's final words and he was quickly taken away to be sentenced. From afar, Smith watched as the wolf was taken away. There was no screaming or shouting. He willfully followed and accepted his punishment. There was nothing more he could do. That was his future from now. The tiger looked away and tried to hold on to the rage the dwelled in his soul. Not even a single hair of Basil came to witness the case of his son. That man practically abandoned his own flesh and blood! What father would do such things!

Smith punched towards the wall behind him. This wasn't supposed to happen. This was not in his contract when he applied for a position as an internal auditor. Everything that occurred within the company was something he wouldn't dream of happening but it is. It's happening right here, right now, in front of his eyes. Deception, lies and arrogance; that was what the company was all about.

When another paw held on to his, he felt the comfort of his significant other. Speedy looked forlorn but he tried to open up a small smile. "It's over. Justice has been served."

"If that is so, why am I not satisfied with the outcome?"

"Because you're too kind towards him. He treated you like dirt and yet, you care for him?" Speedy kissed on his forehead.

Smith growled and spat to the ground. His kindness would be the death of him and if he didn't stop this act soon, there's no telling what would happen. Then again, he just couldn't let it drop as it is. With a final glance towards Shaun, he sighed. At that exact moment, the wolf turned and made eye contact with him. Smith tensed for a moment as his gaze fell upon him, scrutinizing the man as if he was a piece of meat. He fairly expected him to shout or curse but he did none of those. Instead, Shaun smiled and gave a heartwarming nod. That simple act of acknowledgement was something that he would never have expected. If he didn't know any better, Shaun was grateful for something. But for what?

He watched with a final end when Shaun's shadow disappeared. That was the last he saw the wolf.

Shaun... I wish that you would have a better life after. I promise, when you're out of prison, I will be there to greet you. Do not give up hope. I pray that you will endure the pain. I am sorry...

From the outside, Basil sat in his car and waited for his son to appear. The sudden burst of the door made him jerk his head back and watched as swarm of reporters and journalist questioned about him. Myriad of camera flashed and took several pictures of the wolf. Shaun did nothing to cover up and allowed for publicity. Questions after questions were bombarded towards him but none were answered. Iris cursed and bellowed for a pathway to be made. Some were hard headed and he had to forcefully push them back while others gave way.

Through the chaos, Basil watched in silence as his son was taken away.

"Master, this is your final chance. You will never get a chance like this again." His personal servant spoke with honesty.

Basil continued to be silent. The procession continued on but as soon as the vehicle opened up from behind, Shaun quietly went in without a fight; looking down below to avoid any more gazes and pictures taken. He didn't want any more of this and had had enough of them. The hawk threatened to punch if any of them dared to cross over him.

"Master, once again. Your final chance."

Shaun... The voice quietly rang in Basil's mind. The wolf continued to watch. With a forlorn look on him, he silently wished that the boy would have taken a chance of a glance at his direction. His eyes never prying away from the boy; his boy... his son.

His prayers were answered.

Shaun looked up for the last time and saw the face of his father.

Father...? His eyes widened. Father... is that you?

Basil nodded. Yes, my son.

The young wolf started tearing up when he saw the nod. D-Daddy...

In that instant, the door of the vehicle closed as Iris entered in. Shaun couldn't control whatever emotions he had and tried to stop the door from closing but he was too late. The wolf screamed and began crying with tears of utter sadness. He couldn't suppress his emotions any longer; he regretted everything that he has done, he regretted his actions that placed many at conflict. Everything was for him but why would he push him away.

...Daddy...

_ .... I love you..._
