#14 of Journey of the Chosen series

This long sexual love story is filled with adventure and danger for a fourteen-year-old teenage boy named Evin. He meets Dawn and a riolu early on right after being yanked from our world (The real world) into the pokemon world that he had once though was purely fiction. The pokemon world is at war though, in a way that Evin never imagined. After becoming a little more accustomed to how this new world really works, Evin finally begins a quest to get word of his survival back home to his sister and parents as he set out from Professor Juniper's lab in Nuvema Town. From there his adventures take him on his long quest throughout this new strange world as he slowly builds a relationship with both Dawn and his first pokemon riolu that had evolved into lucario soon after they met. Now it has been a few moths since his quest first began, and both girls have given themselves to Evin in both body and soul, and Evin's quest now balances on a knife's edge as his enemies close in around him.

Chapter Thirteen

Part 2 of 2

Death is only the Beginning.

Evin was suspended in the center of the stadium inside the containment rings with electricity arcing all around him in painful streaks, the executives both stood before him gloating as they said, "We told you that you would regret ever seeing us again. This could have all been avoided if you had only cooperated, but no, you chose the hard way."

Then the one with the remote cranked the output dial and made Evin yelled as the electricity inside his rings intensified. Both the executives laughed for a few minutes as they passed the remote back and forth, taking turns turning the knob. The grunts had by now secured the stadium and all the many other people could do was watch as the organization made an example of a boy who had tried to defend them.

It wasn't long before some people fainted from the spectacle, while others threw-up just as the smell of burned flesh drifted over the crowd. No one could hardly stand to watch as this continued, and after the first three minute of torture passed, all who were still watching, could visibly see smoke rising from Evin at the center of the stadium.

Evin held out as long as he could as he tried to get his powers to work so he could fight back, but the more he struggled, the more he felt his body spasm in pain. Soon his vision turned orange, then red, and then finally gray before everything went black. Both Dawn and Rika had already been panicking and pleading with Team Rocket to stop, but now all they could do was cry as they saw Evin dieing before them as he lost consciousness.

Rika tried time and time again along with Reshiram to wake Evin and break the cages even though they felt great pain from the electrifying fields of the rings. But all they could grasp when reaching for his mind was a dark void. Dawn begged the executives to stop, but every time she asked, they delighted in turning up the juice on Evin more just to see the horror in her eyes as her friend burned.

As this was happening the other Rocket members were completing the tasks they were there for, of relieving everyone of their pokemon and valuables. The executives made it a game to see what made the most people groan as they tortured Evin as they laughed about every little thing now from being drunk on their own success. Then something completely unexpected happened.

From within the rings Evin was in, the space around his body began to distort as black energy began to discharge from him. Then before surprise could be uttered from the crowded stadium, Evin's body seemed to slip into a black hole. The hole in the fabric of space was roughly half the size of Evin's body, but swirled with infinite energy as blue and silver lightning bolts rebounded out of the darkness in five-second intervals.

The executive that had the remote quickly punched a few buttons and two more black rings joined the first two. They upped the electric shock on the void, but didn't get any reaction in response. They could only stare in utter wonder and bewilderment at the dark vortex as they started calling out orders for the other members to hasten their efforts.

***

Evin slowly became conscious of the pounding in his head as he awoke in darkness. He could hear the steady drip of water as if in a hollow cave, but could see nothing. He felt cold, but could sense nothing else; everything was just black empty space. Then the thought occurred to him, (Am I dead?)

And when he began to think he must have died for what felt like fifteen minutes, He then started to feel a burning sensation rising up from his toes. The sensation continued to climb and spread until his entire body seemed to be incased in fire. He screamed soundlessly into the darkness as he felt like his bones were melting. Great waves of pain threatened to cause him to loose consciousness all over again. But somehow the welcoming darkness of unconsciousness didn't take him again.

It seemed like hours before the burning finally subsided, leaving him gasping for what he thought might have been air. Then he saw two scenes as if they were in pools of water, one was his old life where he saw his sister, his mother, and his father, and they were all in their old living room sitting together on the couch, just hugging.

The scene wavered a little and now he could see their faces; their eyes were red rimmed from what looked like crying, his father look almost ten years older then before with a large cut on his face that was beginning to heal up. His mother had worry wrinkles on her forehead, and his sister looked like she had been crying for days. He knew all too well what they were sad about, and had a longing right then to return to them.

But then he saw the scene of the stadium, he saw Team Rocket taking everything from everyone, he saw Dawn, Rika and May in their electric ring cages. As long as they were still, they didn't seem to be getting shocked, but then he saw his own tormenters, the executives staring with frustrated awe at the rings in front of them. His mind was made up. He knew what this was. It was his choice to either go home and leave it all behind, leave and let his new friends find their own fates, be it enslavement or to free themselves, while he would just go back to his family in his world.

Or to return and fight for what he knew was right. Even if the reality was only a fake one that had been created by him, he knew he would feel wrong if he even considering leaving it behind in the current situation. He was deeply torn between the two, but nonetheless he whispered to the image of his parents and sister, "Wait for me." And as he said this he touched the image of the stadium and all went dark again.

Everyone in the stadium froze, pokemon and humans alike, feeling like something was coming. The members of Team Rocket had just gotten ready to haul away their catch, but were still spread throughout the entire stadium when everyone began to hear whispers of psychic power as fear took hold in everyone.

The people that had been in the audience had been forced to stay seated the entire time by the Rocket members, and had been stripped of their wealth and pokemon. Many including Dawn, Rika and May were watching the black hole that was still within the four rings.

No one knew what was coming, but everyone could feel the air tingling around them, as the black vortex seemed to finally become active after the last ten minutes of no activity. The hole that that had swallowed the boy whom had been being tortured, was basically the center of everyone's universe now.

The Rocket executives looked furious as they tried turning up the electric output of the rings to shock the daylights out of what ever was happening. Whispers of unfathomable multitudes of voices could be heard in everyone's minds as psychic power pulsed from the rift. The two executives began to feel unnerved as they looked around searching for a new foe to send more rings after. But having found nothing at all, they turned to the black hole once again that now seemed to be building in energy as it started growing in size.

The one with the remote immediately pushed several buttons on the device he had for more rings to join the four that were already there. Three more rings clasped around the others and everyone in the stadium could hear the amps of electricity rev-up. Dawn and Rika both looked on with amazement they didn't know what was happening or where Evin was, but the black hole he had left behind was still getting bigger. Bolts of silver lightning were starting to escape the rings as the vortex was on the verge of touching the devices themselves.

Just then everyone in the stadium jumped as bright sparks flew in all directions. The rings were just barely holding back a force that was so powerful that the electricity was beginning to lash out in all directions. Just as the rings were weakening, the Rocket executives panicked, and ordered so many more rings to enclose the one spot, that they totally encased the hole until nothing on the inside could be seen.

The diamond shaped prison held for a moment, as Dawn's and Rika's hopes sank. But just as everyone thought it was finished, they all heard a deep benevolent voice within their minds say, "Enough!" An explosion then shook the stadium as it filled with light. Then as the light faded, everyone saw Evin floating in the center of the stadium above the ruined rings.

Many of the people could also now tell something was different about him now; his skin was glowing with a silver sheen, while his hair was like a bright white flame. Then everyone watched as the boy in the direct center of the stadium that was floating above what was left of his torture cage flexed his reformed body.

Doing this expelled a large amount of excess energy from his body, which made some people feel lightheaded. Dawn and Rika were relieved to see Evin safe, but when they saw his face, all they could discern was anger and hate from his bright glowing silver eyes. His features were completely different than what they had ever seen, and for the first time they were afraid of him.

Rika tried to read his aura, but what she felt wasn't even close to her lover/trainer's presents. What she found was mixed with massive amounts of both light and dark, neither good nor evil, an ancient benevolent being with infinite other things on its mind that scared her. She gave Dawn a pleading look as she relayed what they were looking at, and all Dawn could do was look at Evin's face as tears flooded her eyes. This was not Evin.

***

Evin himself was not in control of his body, yet now his consciousness slowly became aware of what was going on and about to happen. Evin watched his arms begin to move of their own accord in a strange flowing pattern, and almost instantly a tornado formed far behind the outside edge of the stadium.

At first the members of Team Rocket tried to attack him, but nothing could get through as Evin's hands whirled in circular push and pull motions and psychic probes pieced the minds of all the Rocket members and their pokemon. When the probes touched their minds, many began franticly trying to run away as the entity in Evin's body quickly checked to see who was salvageable from the evil corruption and who wasn't.

The many that were deemed un-savable were thrown into the vortex, where they were tossed around until dead, and the others were incapacitated and had their memories wiped of ever joining the organization. Then the twister vanished as Evin's arms crossed over his chest and the rings that had everyone trapped shattered to millions of pieces like delicate glass.

Evin's body then slowly began to descend down until his feet touched the ground. Just as his feet touched the ground though, Evin's body stopped glowing as the entity left, causing him to sway as he tried to regain control of his body.

His hair returned to normal, but instead of having any of his brown hair left, it was now pure platinum colored. Then with the last of his strength depleted, he fell to the ground to his hands and knees, breathing hard and fast with sweat pouring from his body as he fought to stay conscious. It took everything he had not to end up flat on his face. He could feel his powers trying to lull him into passing out so they could turn inward just like the others had described from the last time he passed out.

Everything was sore, it was as if he had just finished a fifty-mile marathon in minutes as his body shook with exhaustion, and it was just then he noticed. Everything was dead silent, and everyone except Victini and Reshiram, where in awe at what they had seen.

Rika couldn't help but feel the shift of aura inside Evin's body, the flux of power was enough on its own, but since she had been monitoring him so closely, she saw every step of his transformation. Dawn was still in shock though, and couldn't dispel the look she had seen on Evin's face and was just as hesitant to make a move as the rest of the people in the stadium.

Finally when it became apparent that Evin couldn't move, Rika collected herself and ran to his aid along with Victini. Once she was close enough to him, she could feel that Evin was in a stunned shell-shocked state, and his aura was barely in existence because his energy was so exhausted. After a moment to gather her own energy she restored some of his by transfusing some of her aura to him.

Evin felt a little relieved as she did this and tried to stand, but almost fell until she caught him. She and Victini then helped him up and let him use Rika for support as they walked out of the stadium without a sound, while many eyes stayed focus on them. They returned to the tunnel where Evin had first blasted his way into the stadium and sat on a bench while he still tried to regain his spent energy and breath.

Reshiram had to speak to Dawn to get her to understand what had just happened and even then it took a while for Dawn to snap out of her reverie. She called back her pokemon and picked up Zora and Shadow who had been unconscious near her, and went in the direction she saw Rika and Victini take Evin. The dust in the stadium finally settled and then after a short while, quiet talking could be heard from the audience that still hadn't moved from their seats.

The Nurse Joy from this city was worried about what had just happened, she had learned of Evin and his plight only a week before, but had never expected something like this could ever occur. Just then everyone in the stadium heard the sound of the police sirens as the officers arrived to find a mass of fearful, awed, and confused people, that didn't know what to do next.

Just as Dawn came to Evin's side in the half collapsed tunnel, his watch phone began to ring. When he answered it, Professor Juniper appeared on the screen with a worried look and asked, "What happened out there? I saw everything on TV just now, and then saw you helped out of view of the cameras looking hurt after everything was over."

Evin was exhausted, but said, "Honestly, I don't know what happened myself. Team Rocket staged an attack on the stadium to steal everyone's pokemon and valuables. We stepped in, but were overrun and they had me at their mercy until I blacked out. After that, things got... weird. I ended up having to make a choice of whether or not I wanted to stay in this world. Its kind of obvious what I chose, but every bone and muscle in my body is screaming in pain right now after what just happened."

The professor contemplated for a moment then said, "Everyone now knows you have powers, and after that display I think both Team Rocket and Plasma may be a lot more dangerous towards you and possibly more aggressive all around. Did the snag machine get damaged in all of this?" Evin looked the device over for a minute and then said, "No, it doesn't even look scratched, cant say for sure though, I had a lot of electricity passing through me for a while. What should I do now? Everyone here is in shock at the moment from what I just did, including myself."

The professor then said, "There's not much you can do right now, Officer Jenny will surely come looking for you in a few minutes, so just stay put until she dose and I'll let the nurse know you might need a checkup." then the watch went blank. Evin's mind did likewise. After finishing his talk with the professor, he felt like his thoughts had just been swallowed up by a black hole. Processing the simplest of sensations seemed to be about all he could do at the moment.

He wasn't sure he could handle any more stress, much less dealing with the complications of explaining himself to the police. His brain felt tired and fatigued as he let his head rest in his hands, and when he thought about what the entity had made him do, all he wanted to do was be alone. He not only felt ashamed that it had been his hands and powers that had killed so many, but he knew that he had also frightened those closest to him.

Reshiram moved into the doorway to stand guard as more commotions started breaking out, and people started moving. She wasn't about to let anyone come near Evin while he was in such a weak and confused state after such an event. Though after a while like the professor said, Officer Jenny and the rest of her police force, did eventually quell the commotions in the stadium and people began to finally leave after getting their things back. It was a while longer before both Jenny and Nurse joy walked over to the hole in the wall where Reshiram still stood watch.

Reshiram let them pass, and Evin explained as best he could how it all started as Nurse Joy checked him, Shadow, and Zora for injuries. After he was done explaining up to the point when the entity left his body, everyone was silent again. Everyone knew there were dead members of Team Rocket, pokemon and humans alike, scattered throughout the forest behind the stadium. Normally Officer Jenny would have no choice but to arrest someone for so much death, even in the name of good it fell under vigilantly jurisdictions.

But this was hardly a normal situation and with things as they were, she wasn't sure what to do. After a while she finally decided that if it was the will of some kind of god that those people died, then they had it coming, and soon after let the subject drop from her mind. It was a while longer before Nurse Joy finished checking Evin, Dawn, and the pokemon they had before May finally showed up.

A lot like the other people in the stadium, she had been scared of what she had seen, and had been afraid to follow after them after Reshiram took a guard position at the entrance to where she knew Evin and Dawn were. She apologized for taking so long to join them and sat next to Dawn and asked Nurse Joy, "So what happens now?"

Nurse Joy finished what she was doing then said, "Well, Dawn already has her ribbon, so there's no need for anyone to really come back for anything on the contest, because the contest is most defiantly over. But I'm afraid a very large portion of Evin's big secret is now common knowledge. This is because not only did everyone here see what he did, everyone watching the contest on TV also saw too.

No one outside of Team Rocket and our own groups know the real the details about Evin, so it is a good thing no one knew his name. But many have just seen him do something very extraordinarily frightening. Some will look to him as a hero, others will shun him, many will fear him, and more will hate him because they feel inferior to him. It's a vicious cycle, but now unavoidable. The best thing Evin can do now is lay low and not draw a lot of attention to himself for a while."

Finally, Evin stood from his stupor and said, "We best get moving then, before anymore surprises happen. Tonight we will rest at the pokemon center and tomorrow I'll have my gym battle and we will move on before people regain their senses. The less time people in this city have to contemplate what just happened today, the better.

After the gym battle tomorrow, I'm going to visit a friend before we go to the next city." Dawn and May, didn't know what friend he wanted to visit, but Rika could sort of guess who he meant. Dawn questioned him, but all he told her was that he intended to thank his friend for helping him and Rika in their time of need. May asked what rout he was taking and after he told her she said, "That's the same rout I need to take to meet up with Ash." but when Evin said he was headed to Lostlorn Forest she slumped and then said, "I guess that's where we will go our separate ways then."

After their course of action was decided, they all moved to the pokemon center, though for Evin it was a rather painful walk. Every muscle in his body seemed to want to rip off the bone in agony. Rika just being close to him could feel the pain he was in, and no matter how hard she tried to block his pain out; there was just too much to stop.

Evin ended up sleeping on his own bed for the night, since having fun with girls was out of the question, and not only that but the mood was wrong too. Dawn spoon-fed him some soup before letting him sleep, and she spent a large portion of the night thinking about what had happened. She tried to forget what she had seen that day, but the image of Evin's angry glowing silver eyes seemed to keep haunting her.

The room was quiet when Dawn finally did find sleep and the pokemon also seemed to rest at ease, but Evin was still being tortured from the images he had gleaned from the evil minds he had been in direct contact with. He saw what their evil twisted plans had been, what their desires were and what their over all goals had been as well.

The nightmare told him that Giovanni was building something that was going to use legendary pokemon as the power source for some sort of device. Though Evin couldn't see any details as to what the device really was. Then his dreams drifted on to a more subtle relaxing experience as he remembered what his home was like before he left. A dreamed of a memory he once had of his mother calling his father, his sister, and himself, from the forest to come to supper. With the start of this dream he regained most of his former tranquility and the night progressed without disturbance.
