Finally, the fourth of July was finally here! "Alright! I can't wait to hit the beach and start partying!" Amy said as she put on her bikini.

"So Derrick, tell me, are you going to the barbecue tonight to see the fireworks?" Amy asks.
"I sure am, and I'd be more than obliged to accompany you." Derrick retorts.

They both laugh, and then suddenly realize they're holding hands, fingers intertwined, both of their faces turn red.
"We've still got a while before it gets dark, wanna get somethin' to eat?" Derrick requests.
"Sure, why not? I could eat." Amy replies. They go to a nearby food shack and grab a bite to eat as they engage in small talk. "That was pretty good." remarks Amy. "Yeah, it wasn't too shabby." Derrick replies. The two finish eating, they go back down to the beach and relax on a towel under the hot sun together until nightfall.
As nightfall comes, more people start to show up. Grills start lighting up and music starts playing. Amy and Derrick wake up, realizing they had dozed off.
"Oh crap, we fell asleep! At least we woke up in time." Derrick yelped.
"We fell asleep? Gee I was wondering why I woke up." Amy remarks.
An announcer comes on the speakers and says, "Ladies and gentlemen! Get ready for the beginning of the fireworks show!" Everybody on the beach starts cheering and clapping their paws. "Let the show begin!"
As the show goes on Derrick and Amy enjoys themselves; as well as each other. Derrick puts his arm around Amy's shoulder. Amy looks up at him, kisses him on the cheek, and nuzzles into his sculptured chest. After the grand finale, the couple share a romantic kiss.
"I had a lot of fun tonight Derrick, thank you." Amy blushed.

Derrick and Amy arrive at Derrick's beach house, "Here we are, my humble abode."
