Chapter 11: Seattle Rose Rumble.

Lucas groaned... he wanted to stay asleep but his body wouldn't let him, sighing he got up and stretched and found himself in an unfamiliar room. He started to panic a bit but then remembered he was in Ian's room and what happened yesterday... The events back at his own were terrifying... he would probably have nightmares about it for a while. He was just glad Erin didn't seem to remember anything about what actually happened. And Ian had given him a blowjob... His face went blood red at that... That felt amazing, far better than his hand had ever felt... It was nice to be liked, and Ian gave phenomenal head... He sighed trying to think of something else or else he'd get horny...

He then started to think of that dream... it was so weird... That boy... Who was he? Who was that man? He felt sick to his stomach. When the boy was being raped he felt like he was as well. It was terrifying and the total sense of hopelessness was awful... he eventually noticed that he was alone and he was still nude. He felt somewhat hurt about waking up alone until he found a note next to the bedside table. He grabbed it and noticed it was in a messy scrawl that could only be Ian's.

'Dear Lucas,

Sorry if you wake up without me there... Dad needed my help with something... err... he knows about us and he gave us his blessing but yeah I'll see you when you wake up. Again sorry about leaving you to wake up alone. Love ya Lucas...

Love, Ian

Lucas smiled a bit at the letter... at least Ian was nice enough to leave a note but the last part made him frown a bit... he was sure that Ian just put it there to be nice he didn't really love him did he? They'd just met. He sighed, might as well get up no way he could go back to sleep now... he got off the bed and noticed his ankle wasn't hurting him... strange... He guessed Allison must have fixed it when he was asleep... which meant she saw him naked. He also noticed his uniform wasn't there... Ian must have put it in the wash which was nice of him... only problem is that he had no spare clothes... 'I knew I forgotten something!' he thought to himself annoyed.

Sighing to himself he began to rummage through some of Ian's clothes and found a pair of shorts and a t-shirt... he put them on and found they were huge... he looked ridiculous but he had no other choice it was either this or walking out the door naked.

He eventually walked out of the room he noticed Richard was sitting on the couch relaxing listening to music. "Morning!" he shouted at the wolf who jumped slightly.

"Oh, morning Lucas how'd you sleep?" the wolf asked him. He just shrugged a bit and sat down next to Richard.

"Slept well I guess... I had this weird dream though... How do you feel by the way? You passed out yesterday."

"I feel fine... when I woke up Monet explained to me what happened. Her theory on how some mages can control the elements and why is interesting... You look ridiculous by the way, like a midget wearing Ian's clothes... And um... next time you guys do...Whatever you two did be a bit quieter or cast a silencing spell around the room so nobody can hear you... you woke me up. Oh and how's your ankle? Monet said she fixed it but I wasn't sure..."

Lucas blushed even deeper at that causing the wolf to laugh.

"Ian and dad are busy contacting the Council... they will want to speak with you soon. Cases like you don't happen often," he stated sincerely, "And about that dream... what was it about?"

Lucas shuddered a bit, then sighed and began talking, "I don't really know, it was as if I was seeing from someone else's eyes. The boy in the dream was a fox like me only with reddish fur and green eyes... he was tired and dirty... he was trying to get the dirt out of his fur when someone started banging on the door. It was a bull... he said the boy short changed him somehow. Called him a whore... he grabbed the boy and tore the shorts he was wearing and he... he raped him." He stopped there trying to settle himself. Richard looked towards him in shock not knowing what to say. "I felt everything... as if I was the one being raped, every emotion he felt I felt... When the man was done he just got dressed and left..." he said finishing the dream. "And my ankle feels fine... like I never broke it... weird..."

"Wow... you okay?" Richard asked. "I never heard of dreams like that happening... and I'm glad you ankle is fixed... broken bones suck..."

"I'm fine... nothing happened to me... I actually wonder if it was really a dream or something else... I think it might have been a vision..." Lucas muttered. "Like the one I had before when my magic got unblocked..." He then looked around. "Where is everybody?" he asked.

"Erin dragged Monet and Greg shopping in Seattle... they left about an hour ago... They should be back later today..."

Lucas just sighed. After what they'd just gone through, Erin goes on a shopping trip. Figures..."How on earth did she get those two to agree?"

"She just bugged them until they agreed to go," Richard laughed.

Lucas just shook his head, "Sounds like Erin," he muttered. "Is there anything to eat? I'm starving..." he asked and Richard nodded.

"Yeah, I should be able to get you some food in the kitchen come-on!" He replied as they went upstairs in search of food.

Xander ran as fast as he could... he had managed to sneak out of Derrick's harem a few hours ago before anybody was awake. Last night had been the final straw. He needed to escape... he could head north. Canada wasn't that far away. He could find a place in Vancouver maybe? He would be sure to avoid the pimps this time. He could find a proper job somewhere... he should have never trusted Derrick. A thirty year old man who wants to sleep with a sixteen year old was nothing but trouble...`Seventeen' he reminded himself today was his birthday... and he was spending it running away from his pimp... "How do I get myself into these situations?" he asked himself.

When he first met Derrick the bull had been so nice. He'd given Xander a place to stay and showed him the affection he had been starving for... then they slept together the first time and it was amazing. Then that bastard bull showed his true colors... but it was behind him now, he was free. He'd have to survive somehow...

Why did he have to trust Derrick? Was he really that starved for affection? He'd forced Xander to go out whoring himself for money and then he shoved him into that dirty apartment... He was so tired of being used and even more tired of being abused. He was tired of running in general... he had been for years. It was raining of course and he was only wearing a filthy shirt and the shorts he had been wearing before Derrick had raped him and he was freezing. Stupid Seattle weather! But once he reached the forest all would be good. He was safe there he felt at home...

"Damn... if I don't find shelter I'll get sick and I can't afford to go to the hospital..." Yes that was his plan... go to Canada and hope to find a job and shelter make it on his own for once... he was so focused on his goal he made a wrong turn and found himself in a dead-end. "Shit!" he muttered.

He was about to turn around until he found two men wearing trench-coats blocking the way. They had the bottom of their faces covered by scarves and they were wearing sunglasses to hide their eyes. "Um... hi?" he said to them before turning round to see several more. "What do you guys want? Did Derrick send you? If so I'm not going back!"

One of the men, a pug chuckled coldly, "We don't know any Derrick but we are here for you kid," the man said taking out a buzz-baton. "Freaks like you don't deserve to exist!"

That... struck a nerve with Xander, "What do you mean? Gays? Fuck you then!" he shouted.

The pug just snickered at that.

"Oh I'm a fag myself... so no I mean you infernal magic users!" Xander started laughing at that. "What's so funny twerp?" the Pug growled.

"Magic users? You're insane! Magic doesn't exist..." he shouted.

The Pug just shook his head, "Don't play coy with my Changeling... we've been watching you for a very long time."

Xander felt confused at that. What the hell was a changeling? "I have no clue what you're talking about! What's a changeling!?"

The Pug just chuckled at that, "Wouldn't you like to know... boys, grab him. We can play with him a little bit before he dies no reason to waste such a cute ass..."

Xander was cornered and these psycho's wanted to kill him... he had no way out. He doubted he could fight his way through them, "Please, let me go... I'll do anything!" He begged.

The Pug just kicked him causing him to cough up blood. "Pathetic! You aren't going to fight changeling? Might as well kill you right here and now then!" The pug sneered at that and hit Xander with his baton.

The electricity ran through his body causing him immense pain. He tried to stifle his screams but it wasn't working. The man buzzed him again and again and again. Xander tried to block everything out like he did when Derrick raped him but he couldn't. He was so sure he was going to die when he heard a girl's voice shout out.

"Hey, leave him alone!"

~~~~
Erin sighed a bit. This shopping trip wasn't going so well at all... The weather sucked and both of the girls had been forced to borrow clothes from Richard and looked ridicules in them. They had nearly got arrested because somebody had tried to drive on the other side of the road, "Seriously! How did you not notice that you were on the wrong side of the road?" She shouted at Greg.
"Hey, it's not my fault! I've never drove in this country! For all intents and purposes you people are driving on the wrong side of the road..." he argued back.
Allison was watching the whole thing go down with the faintest bit of amusement at the two bickering. "I still have no idea how you got me to leave Ian..."
Erin just rolled her eyes at that, "Ian's a big boy. He can handle himself for a few hours Greg, really you said it yourself you'd have to be an idiot to attack Mr. Jordan... It was nice of him to agree to teach me how to use my powers though... But really Greg, Ian's tough he doesn't need you looking over his shoulder all the time..." She told him calmly.
He just glared at her, "So what? I just ignore my duty because my charge can handle himself!?"
Erin just sighed, "I'm not telling you not to do your duty, just to know you don't have to be at his side all the time... do you know have any hobbies? What do you do when you aren't watching Ian?" She asked him after a moment of silence she sighed. "See! You have no life outside Ian... He being your charge or not you have to have your own thing..."
"Listen Erin, I can understand what you mean but I will not let anything distract me from my duty... It's in my blood Erin, my dad was a Protector as was his father and on and on... my family has been serving as Protectors for the Mansfield family for over 200 years... It's the only way I can really feel close to my dad..." he said looking down. "That's the reason I became one... I started training when I was nine... By the time I was fourteen I was a certified Protector..."
"Oh, I didn't know... I guess it would help you feel close to your dad. He was Mr, Jordan's Protector right?" she asked him and he nodded. She gave a small smile and grabbed his arm since she couldn't reach his shoulder. "Listen, you are amazing at what you do... Ian relies on you a lot but you have to let him be his own man..."
Allison eventually decided to speak up, "She has a point Moore, Mansfield needs to stand on his own. The boy is seventeen; he does not need to be coddled any longer. The boy needs to grow up and quick..."
Erin frowned at the other girl at that, "Um... thanks for that Allison but not what I was going for... but yeah Greg it would be best to leave Ian alone sometimes considering he and my brother have a thing going on. It would be good for them to have a bit of privacy..."
They all fell into a few minutes of silence while Erin played with her umbrella trying to keep herself from getting wet. She had planned on getting some new clothes for Allison... apparently her entire wardrobe didn't have a single girly thing outside the Greenheart Academy Uniform. Erin was determined to remedy that... Getting Allison to actually try on any of the things she picked however was proving a challenge. Once they walked into one of the trendy boutiques she immediately dragged Allison to the girls section Greg following awkwardly behind.
"I do not see why this is necessary Erin, should you be not resting? You just got freed of taint not ever a day ago..." Allison said. She wasn't sure exactly sure how the vixen had convinced her to do this. Erin wasn't using a charming spell... she would've sensed it...wouldn't she?
"Come-on Allison, I couldn't be even more rested... I had a feeling that we should be here for some weird reason..." Erin admitted then saw a very cute outfit. "Oh, look at this! It would look adorable on you!" she exclaimed. It was a black t-shirt and mini-skirt combo with a small belt. "And what luck! It's in your size!"
Allison just gave her a blank look before realizing what was happening, "Oh no, you are not going to force that thing on me!" Allison shouted causing the other patrons to give them odd looks. She just sighed trying to explain herself in a more calm matter. "You know my opinion on clothes Erin; I do not like skirts or frilly things... I prefer more practical clothing."
Erin just grinned, "You can't be practical at everything... besides my momma always told me one thing every girl needs is a little black dress..." she said shoving a pretty black dress along with the outfit towards Allison.
After about an hour of shopping Erin was finally satisfied. She had gotten Allison both of those outfits as well as two others she also bought herself a new shirt and some new clothes for Luc. They were heading to another store when something caught Erin's attention. She could've sworn she heard screaming.
"Something wrong Erin?" She heard Greg ask, but her focus was drawn to the sound of someone being tortured.
"I think someone's getting mugged! Come-on we have to help!" she said before running off towards the direction of the noise.
"Erin no! It might be dangerous!" Greg shouted but she wouldn't listen, "Damn girl, wait up Erin!" He shouted running after her... he wouldn't want to think what Lucas would do if she got hurt.
Erin hadn't heard Greg's shouting she was so focused on her goal. She tracked it to an alleyway and ran into it. She was shocked to see several grown men hitting a small fox boy who had to be not much older than her or Luc. "Hey leave him alone!" she shouted distracting them turning their attention towards her.
They all wore a small badge on their coats a symbol she didn't recognize, 'Okay Erin, think how do we use wind magic? Um... I have no clue... damn...' she thought to herself. She still didn't have a clue how to use her powers yet.
"What do you want girlie?" One of the men, a fat pug asked her coldly.
"Leave that boy alone!" she shouted.
The Pug just snickered, "No chance ya little bitch... leave or we will kill you as well."
That made her blood run cold... Kill? What had she got herself into? But she couldn't let an innocent boy die... so she shook her head, "No, not without the boy... and the proper term for a female fox is a vixen not a bitch..." she stated calmly.
"Very well then, shame though you are quite cute..." The pug said before grabbing his baton thing and running towards her but he was intercepted by a tiny blur. Allison had grabbed his arm and twisted and Erin winced when she heard a nasty sounding snap! She had easily broken his arm like a twig. She quickly then let go of the now useless arm and dodged another strike before getting behind and grabbing the man's neck and... Snap! The Pug fell to the floor dead. The other men just gasped in shock their leader was killed by a little girl! Allison took advantage of this and took out another of the men.
Erin was just watching her on shock... Holy shit! Allison just killed two people in a span of a few minutes!
Stand still you little brat!" One of the other men a Lynx said before he himself was quickly dispatched there were only two more left. One of them tried to attack her from behind before he sank down into the earth the ground swallowing him whole.
"It's not very nice to attack somebody from behind." Erin heard Greg's voice say from behind her as Allison took out the last man.
"You... you just killed five people just like that..." Erin stated in shock looking towards Allison who only shrugged.
"They were hunters Erin; they would have killed you with no remorse..." she then turned towards the fox whom had been bunched up against the wall terrified, "Are you okay?" she asked him concern colouring her tone.
The boy winced and backed further into the wall as if trying to phase through it, "Please don't hurt me..." the fox begged.
Erin frowned at that and walked up towards the boy. She sat down in front of him, "We aren't going to hurt you... Answer the question though; are you okay? Those bad men didn't hurt you to badly did they before we got here?" She asked him kindly.
He just looked away afraid... "How do I know that I can trust you?" he asked her.
She paused at that before coming up with an answer, "You can't know you can trust anybody before you try... We want to help, so please tell us if you are alright? Allison here is a top-notch healer and she can fix you right up..."
She noticed Greg looked at the boy for a few minutes before he stiffened, "Erin, stand back! That boy's a changeling!"
Erin just gave the tiger a blank look having no idea what he was talking about. There was silence for a few minutes before the fox decided to speak up.
"That's what those men... those... hunters? Called me... a changeling. What is a changeling?" he asked quietly.
Greg looked towards the boy in shock, "You don't know what you are do you?" the Tiger asked him calmly.
The fox boy only shook his head.
"Very well, a changeling is a person who is half Fur and half Fey... Seeing as you live here you must live with you Fur parent... tell me which gender is your Fur parent..."
"My mom I guess... Never knew my father, she never spoke of him..."
Greg sighed, "And you never will... when a changeling is discovered the parents are put on trial. One parent faces death while the other is banished from their people... Since I'm sure your mother was a Mage she would've had her magic drained from her and exiled from the clans... does she live here?"
The boy only shook his head, "My mom and my Step-dad kicked me out when I was fourteen. They found out I was..." He stopped for some reason.
"Found out you were gay?" Erin completed for him, "That's awful! But you won't have that problem with us... my brother is gay..." she admitted, "And I care for him dearly." She then turned around to Greg, "So what's this stand back thing about? So his mom screwed a fairy... what has that have to do with him?"
"Changelings have traits of both Fey and Mage... they are dangerous. They can use both types of magic... Tell me boy have you ever been able to influence plants or any other type of nature?"
The boy spoke up again... "Well, when I was around ten or so I found out I could make plants grow if I wanted them to... But my mother made me stop doing so saying it was wrong. I snuck out to the park sometimes though still and did so anyway. I always preferred the park to the city, I felt at home when I was surrounded by nature... What are Fey though? And what's a Mage?"
"The Fey are the fair folk the oldest of the mortal magic races... They are an extremely powerful people... They look very different from us however. Though they can take the appearance of a Fur is they so wish... A Mage is a Fur who can use magic... Erin and I are Mage's, though Erin only discovered so very recently... Monet here is a Mundane, a Fur who lacks magic. As for the being close to nature thing...Fey have a very strong connection to nature and the can control plants and make them grow... They can also move quickly through the woods if they want to. You'd be a fool to pick a fight with a Fey in the woods. They are weakened by Iron and pollution though. The Fey mostly stay in Avalon, their home realm..."
The boy shook his head taking this in... The four of them sat there in silence until Erin spoke up, "So what do we do with him? I think we should take him with us... He's filthy and he looks like he hadn't had a good meal in forever..."
Greg shook his head at that, "We should leave him here... It's best not get too attached to a changeling.... Many of them are very much untrustworthy."
Erin looked appalled at that, "Leave him? What if more of those men come and attack him? Or he freezes to death? It is going to get cold and he has no place to stay! No, he's coming with us!" She told Greg firmly.
He was about to argue before Allison herself decided to speak, "Erin has a point Moore, he is a target of the hunters they will not rest until he is dead. Is it not it common decency to help a fellow Mage in need?"
Finding himself outnumbered Greg sighed exasperated, "Fine, he can come with us..." He muttered not happy with the situation...
Erin's face lit up at that, "Thank you!" she cried giving him a hug causing him to blush before turning around to see the fox boy. "What's your name kid?" she asked him cheerfully.
He just blinked and stared at her for a bit not used to so much... enthusiasm, "Xander... My name is Xander Rose... and thank you for saving me..." he said quietly.
