The End Of All Hope?

Here I go again folks, yet another shot at a good story. Thanks to my mental suffering and a rather awesome Homestruck album, I'm back writing!

This is the song that got me moving: http://homestuck.bandcamp.com/track/even-in-death-tmorras-belly-mix I was listening it the whole time.

A wisp of gray smoke floated in the middle of a white void, reciting the ancient lines of Yuki The White.

"They thought she was finished, they thought the war was over. Now she's back and stronger than ever. They lost friends and family to the fight, now they have to sacrifice again. New enemies, new heroes. Twists in the truth never imaginable. They are going to have to risk everything to save the world, again. Prophecies to be fulfilled, destiny's to be made, heroes to be made. New weapons, new danger. New technology. Now that the prophecy has been born, it must be fulfilled. Sacrifice, heroism, even trickery.

XANA is now aware of you. Free she is, yet she is trapped. A new world to be found, and another to be built. New computer must be built. A new lyoko must be added. Two worlds in computers you will control. Ten different environments, ten different worlds.

New heroes will surface, you must find them. New prophesies to be fulfilled. New enemies that must not win. XANA's end will not mean the war will end. Battles in space, new planets, new species.

The time has come, the time to show your true might young warriors, for XANA is not your only enemy. War will break out even amongst yourselves as you battle for not only your survival, but the survival of all sentient life. Come, young warrior," The wisp of smoke said in a soothing voice, "Come, accept your destiny." It said, the voice slowly fading out, the smoky figure slowly floating farther away, dissipating to reveal Yuki The White herself, in full combat armor.

A great flash blinded the group that stood in the middle of what was now a clearing. Each one of the five Lyoko warriors stood there in complete utter shock at seeing this.

Brandi, the leader, and the most experienced spoke first. "Was that really her?!" He asked.

Three of the four others were only remnants of who they were, having lost their lives to save humanity. In unison they spoke, "She is but one of the four remnants of Yuki, she is but a mere fragment of her true power. You have been chosen to succeed her, and save us all from oblivion."

The first, and smallest one in the group stepped in front of the young bunny, looking worried. "Kneel." She said, and he did. Placing a hand on his shoulder, her teary eyes began to glow. "I give you the strength to save those you love, and those who are innocent." She says, in a metallic voice.

He howled out in pain as what felt like millions of volts of electricity flowed through him, light flowing from his open mouth and eyes. Slowly, the surge flowed out, and he collapsed on the ground, panting as he slowly regained self control. "Wha-what are you doing?!" He asked, in pure surprise.

Not giving him a chance to say anything more, a fox with pink spiky hair latched onto his shoulder and her eyes began to glow too. "I give you the will to survive, even when all hope seems lost." She says, in a voice as calm and soothing as the waters of a cool mountain stream.

Brandi braced for another surge of pain but felt something much different this time, the bunny felt nothing as numbness spread throughout his body, from the very tips of his silver/blonde hair to the tips of his toes. He kneeled there, as rigid as a statue, the only sign of life being the movement of his chest.

Up next was someone he had known for a long time. As the hyena softly placed a paw on his shoulder, Brandi began to speak, only no words came from his mouth. "I give you the fire of me and my forefathers, the fire of a thousand suns, the power to melt even rock itself." The hyena says, his voice as stony and tough as his homeland.

Brandi shuddered as the feeling of fire, pure heat flowed through him, streaks of red appearing on his arms and legs. Every single one of them had left a mark on him in one way or another. The mouse a pink butterfly on his back, the fox a dragon in white on his arms. The hyena? He left behind his red markings, one his arms legs and face.

As the hyena slowly padded away, a solemn looking liger took his place. "Louisa!" Brandi shouted in surprise. Blinking, she placed a paw over his mouth. "Shhh, the time to speak is past."

She too placed a paw on his shoulder, after removing it from his mouth of course, and closed her eyes. "I give you the weapons of fate, to end those who seek to destroy you and all you fight to protect." She says, her voice as whispy and light as a cloud.

"Louisa!" He shouts, reaching his paw out to her as she walked away, the feeling of regret flowing through him. He watched as his own sister took Louisa's place in front of him, her sorrow filled eyes brimming with tears as she placed her hands on his shoulders. "I'm sorry... But my time has come. I give you the wisdom to stop even the smartest of villains." She says, lifting her paws off and joining the group, her colors slowly fading away to match those of her companions.

"No! Keenai!" Brandi shouted as he collapsed with dread. Two new markings appeared over his body. The tips of his hair were now pink, blue and teal, and his eyes had changed from his brown to that of his sister's ice blue. The light slowly faded away, soon being replaced by a black nothingness.

CHAPTER II

The bunny wakes up with a start, light streaming through the window of his condo. He started to rub his head, but stopped, noticing something different.

Running into the bathroom, he looked into the mirror with dread. His hair, arms, everything that had happened in his dream... They were true. Tears began to stream from his eyes at the realization. Almost fainting from the realization, he ran out of the bathroom, almost tripping over a skirt he had left on the floor. "No no no, this can't be happening!" He cried as he dialed his sister. Nothing, no one answered.

Brandi ran to his closet, quickly stepping into a green miniskirt and brown long sleeved top. His collar? He almost never took it off, so her didn't have to worry about it. As he ran to the door, he noticed something different about the collar. The shark charm had been replaced by a pentacle. He didn't know what it stood for, but he knew it was important, but so was the shark charm. The young warrior rushed back into his room and found it lying on his nightstand attached to his favorite bracelet. Not wanting to waste time, he slipped it on as he ran out the door, a look of both fear and worry covering his face.

Brandi ran down the street, dodging crowds of people, even get a several funny looks an two or three gropings as he dodged in and out of the crowded Pike Place Market.

Finally, after about half an hour of running he stopped in front of his sisters house, panting like a dog that had just been through a desert. Not even knocking on the door, the bunny swiftly kicked it open, to find what looked like his sister passed out on the couch.

Rushing over to the black and green couch where her now lifeless body lay, he tenaciously setting a paw on her chest... Nothing. Lifeless. Falling over in grief, Brandi lay on the floor sobbing. "Why must this happen?" He shouted, not caring if anything answered.

"Because fate itself chose you." A disembodied voice cooed, "You are the only one that can save us."
