Chapter 4: The surgery

Migx woke up very early in the morning, he lifted his wrist and saw the hour in his poketch, and it was 5:55am. He looked Lucario who was lying next to him and thought: "Yesterday was really crazy, I wonder if she really forgave me for not wanting to make love... it's just that I can't... but one day I will be able to do it... I want to fulfill her fantasies, I want her to feel loved... maybe when this is all over, when I feel she's not in danger... that way we can live our lives happily." He smiled. "Lucario, you're amazing." He whispered softly, turning to the side so that his body aligns with Lucario's and started to caress her ears softly. Lucario began to toss and turn, that signaled she was being disturbed and he stopped. He sighed and stood up carefully and went outside the tent, there were no stars in the sky but it was still beautiful to see, he smiled, the breeze of the wind entering in his lungs as he inhaled the cold air, he closed his eyes and starts to concentrate, the different auras started to appear in the trees, the mountains, the rocks and the Pokémon nearby. "The Aura sight is very useful to see in the dark." He thought. The ability to see auras gave him a feeling of peace and harmony. He opened his eyes again and the sun started to rise, covering the forest with its warm and clean light. "Beautiful... today will be one beautiful day, indeed." He thought.

Migx decided to take a walk in the forest, in the direction he saw Rayquaza for the last time, he wanted to make sure if Rayquaza was still there. As he walked through the forest he noticed the incredible destruction he had caused, as well as the dead bodies of two of the three fighting type Pokémon. "I... I kind of feel sorry for them. Is not their fault, they were driven by their desire to mate... but still that doesn't change the fact that they were bad Pokémon who were raping other Pokémon. I just went way over the limit...well, the dark side of me." He whispered to himself, checking the dead body of the Machamp he had before him. He continued walking a bit more, backtracking to the place where Machamp first attacked him, walking forward on that direction. He realized that where Rayquaza was suppose to be, there was now a huge boulder, he felt an impulse to go check, so he did, as soon he approached, he saw Rayquaza's tail being squashed by the big boulder. Rayquaza had fainted therefore he couldn't move, it was as if he was dead. Migx ran to the side of the huge Pokémon putting his right hand on top of Rayquaza's head and he began to close his eyes to sense Rayquaza's Aura. "He's still alive but not for long. His Aura is very faint, I have to help him." Migx said. He then used his newly acquired power to give strength and to cure Rayquaza. The Pokémon began to open his eyes and saw Migx in his territory, Rayquaza then shook his head aggressively taking out Migx's hand of his head and tried to bite him but he dodged, pulling his hand backwards rapidly. "Wait, I did not come here looking for a fight, Rayquaza. I only want to help you." He said but Rayquaza was very angry at him because he was trespassing in his territory. Rayquaza began to charge a hyper beam and noticed that Migx was waiting for him to attack so he fired the hyper beam. "Shit." Migx shouted. The beam was a bit faster than he had anticipated but he manages to jump to the side to dodge it. The beam caused a big explosion when it made contact with the ground but it did not damaged Migx, he had timed his jump to perfection allowing him to dodge the attack.

"Rayquaza, stop, I don't want to hurt you." He said and Rayquaza replied with a very loud battle cry. "I guess I'll have to make you come to your senses." He replied.

Rayquaza then began to use dragon pulse, a shock wave generated from his gaping mouth that hit Migx causing him to fly backwards hitting some trees with his back. "Ah... this is officially personal, Rayquaza, I won't forgive you for this." He said, getting up off the ground. "Take this, Aura sphere." He shouted putting his hands together, creating a small sphere of aura, when he ended charging his attack, he fired it towards Rayquaza. The Aura sphere hit Rayquaza however the attack was not meant to hurt him but to stun him. The attack worked, the Pokémon was stunned "Ok, now for that boulder... I'm going to regret this... but maybe if I release him, he will know that I don't want to harm him." He thought getting closer to Rayquaza while the smoke from the little explosion still made it difficult for him to see, he quickly put one of his hand in the boulder and used a variant of the force palm, shattering the boulder. Rayquaza did not flee, for some reason he wanted to continue fighting. Migx looked Rayquaza and Rayquaza looked back at him with his black fearsome eyes and flew towards him grabbing him with one of his hands. "Rayquaza, stop, I won't fight you!" Migx said. Rayquaza did not care if Migx wanted to fight or not, for him this was a battle and he wasn't going to leave until one of them is unable to stand the punishment. "He's not going to listen; at this rate I won't be able to catch him. I'll have to fight him." Migx thought. "Then so be it, Rayquaza if is a fight you want a fight you'll get." He shouted to Rayquaza. He concentrated and electricity started running all over his body "I'm sorry but you let me no choice, I'll tamed you and then I'll catch you. I wanted to reason with you... ask you politely but it seemed it will be useless to try and convince you of joining me." He said. Then he grabbed Rayquaza's thumb and began to twist it, Rayquaza had no choice but to let go of him or he would have broken his finger. He fell to the ground, from at least ten feet high; when he touched the ground again with his feet he felt how one of his bones from his left leg was breaking slowly. "Argh, shit, this is not good." He said, touching his fracture leg that started to swell so he sat in the ground. Then Rayquaza started flying towards him, opening his mouth. "Oh no... he is going to use crunch... I'm not a cookie you hear me!" He shouted taking out one of the ten ultra balls that he bought. Rayquaza continued flying towards him and when he was about to bite him, Migx threw the ultra ball, hitting Rayquaza in his forehead then a red beam swallowed him and the ball moved four times. "Ha, I caught you in my first try... you're supposed to be legendary. I thought this would be more difficult." He said in an over confident tone. Then Rayquaza got out of the ball and glared at him evilly. "Oh shit, I'm sorry, you are truly legendary... don't bite me till death, please." Migx said with a nervous smile. Seconds later Rayquaza had him in his mouth, shaking his head aggressively, moving him side to side like a chew toy. "Ah, I'm sorry, please stop." Migx said screaming. Rayquaza didn't want to let go, he wanted to make Migx suffer for making fun of his legendary status. "Enough." He shouted, punching the right eye of Rayquaza. Rayquaza released him from his mouth and he fell to the ground yet again, his back had softened the fall. "Aaaah." He screams in pain, his left leg was hurting so much he didn't care his back was also hurting. Rayquaza was also screaming in pain for what Migx did to him. Then Migx threw another ultra ball to try to catch him. "Let's hope it works." He said touching his left leg. The ultra ball hit Rayquaza and a red beam of light swallowed him but this time it did not move, not even once. "Aw, come on! What do you want me to do? You want me to knock you out cold." He shouted. Then Rayquaza moved in a circle in the same place hitting Migx in the gut with his tail. The attack was so strong it sent Migx flying backwards gasping for air. "Aaaah, please... no more." He said with fainted eyes.

Migx could not get up off the ground his fracture leg would not allow him, he couldn't flee and Rayquaza was beating the shit out f him. He grabbed another ultra ball and throws it, the ball hit Rayquaza and the beam swallows him again but it only moved two times "Argh, just let me catch you, I promise you will be very happy with me." He said but the more Migx mentioned that he wanted to catch him the angrier Rayquaza gotten. "Riley was right I was stupid to think I can catch him and even stupider for coming here alone without Lucario." He though. Rayquaza then started charging a second hyper beam "All I can do now is to keep shooting the ultra balls to avoid damage, he will eventually gave up and flee." He thought taking out another ultra ball from his backpack and throws it to Rayquaza to avoid his hyper beam. Rayquaza broke free and Migx fired another ultra ball. He repeated this till he had one last ultra ball "My last poke ball." He whispered looking at it. Rayquaza was pissed off so he didn't charge the hyper beam to make it more powerful he just fired it, Migx had little time to respond so he put his hands together and shot a beam made out of aura then the two beams collided, Rayquaza's hyper beam had a slight advantage because it was the first one to be fired followed by Migx's attack, The hyper beam was wining the collision. "I, I'm losing... what incredible power..." Migx said astonished by Rayquaza's incredible strength. "I won't give up." He screamed letting all his power out, giving his beam of aura a major power up, increasing his wideness and power, forcing Rayquaza's hyper beam backwards. The beam of aura Migx fired was now five times more powerful than Rayquaza's hyper beam because of this Rayquaza was forced to eat his own hyper beam and with it Migx's attack; the results were a lucky break for Migx, Rayquaza got knocked out. "This is my chance, go poke ball." Migx shouted a bit exited. The ball hit Rayquaza and the red beam swallowed him, then the ball started to move left and right for times and suddenly stopped "I failed, I wasn't able to catch him." He said with a sigh. Then the ball made the clicking sound and Migx was screaming for joy "Oh my god! I catch him... Fuck no! Impossible, this must be a dream... I just can't believe it but is true, I got him!" He shouted.

He started to laugh enthusiastically, when he was finished with his victory laugh he began to crawl carefully towards the poke ball, his leg was very swollen and he definitely didn't wanted to deal with more pain, he kept crawling slowly till he got close enough to grab the poke ball. "Rayquaza, come out." He shouted.

Rayquaza came out of the ball with all his magnificent grace and looked at Migx, in his eyes Migx could tell Rayquaza was not please so he hesitated a bit before asking. "Rayquaza, can... can you grab me with your hands carefully and take me flying to a small place to the left of here?" Rayquaza gave him an angry looked but after a few seconds he nodded.

He then grabbed Migx's torso carefully and lifted him off the ground. "Aaaah, my leg... it hurts a lot." He said in pain when Rayquaza raised him up the ground.

Then Rayquaza took off and started flying, even though Migx was in pain he liked the feeling of the wind blowing in his face. "I wonder how Riley will react when he sees me with Rayquaza... hmm... I'll find out soon." He thought.

A few minutes passed and Migx looked the ground and saw the family size tent "Rayquaza, is there, below us." He said, pointing at the tent. Rayquaza then started to descent from the sky into the small area were Migx and his friends spend the night.

"Hey, Riley, I'm here... Riley." Migx shouted but no one answer. "How strange they can't be asleep... can they." He thought. "Riley!" He shouted very loud again but still not an answer. "They might be looking for me. I didn't told them I was going to head out... Lucario must be furious with me. She's going to kill me..." He scratched his head. "Is good if I wait here, right." He said looking at Rayquaza. Rayquaza looked at him and shrug his shoulders. "I guess you don't know either. Ok then, Rayquaza return." He said.

"Riley, where is my Master? Are you sure he didn't told you where he went." Lucario asked. "No, he didn't told me where he went I'm sure of it. Now let's keep looking he might be in trouble." Riley replied. "But Riley what if Master have already returned to the tent." She said. "Ok, I'm not sure so we will all use our aura sights to track him down..." "I'm already on it, Master." Lucario interrupted Riley. "Good, can you sense him? Is he nearby, Lucario?" "Yes, Master he's in the tent sitting on the ground, touching his left leg. It appears something happened." Lucario replied. "Thank you, Lucario. We should head back to the tent and see what is wrong with Migx." Riley said and everyone nodded.

Then they all started running towards the tent to check on Migx. They were not far from the tent because Riley thought that Migx might be close to the place where the fighting took place.

"I see the tent." Lucario said. "I see it too, we are very close now." Riley replied.

Then they all sprang out from the bushes and startled Migx. "Whoa! Guys where were you?" He asked. But before Riley could say anything Lucario exploded with rage. "Master you're a... selfish and wicked person! How could you do that to me? " She said walking closer to Migx, stomping the ground. Lucario was very furious Migx knew he was in trouble, he answered: "I'm sorry, Lucario. I only went for a walk in the forest. During my short little stroll I saw the destruction I'd caused and how savagely I killed the Machamp... then I wanted to make sure if Rayquaza was still there... I found out he was there but he was being squashed by a big boulder and I felt the impulse to help him and I did, then Rayquaza attacked me and we fight, during the fight I broke one of my legs but I managed to catch Rayquaza, how cool is that?" "Cool! Are you crazy, Master? You've broken your leg and you think is cool... Argh! I don't know why I even bother worrying about you." She said. Then she stomp Migx's left leg. "Aaaah, why you stomp my broken leg, Lucario?" Migx said with watery eyes. "Oh... I'm sorry, Master. I didn't knew that your left leg is the one that is broken." She said rubbing her paw on his leg. "Ouch, no don't touch it, it hurts." He said. "So you did really catch Rayquaza, Migx." Riley asked. "Sniffle, yeah." Migx replied. "Well then show it to me, show me Rayquaza." Riley said. Migx then grabbed the ultra ball from his belt and pressed the center button, the ball grew to the size of a tennis ball or a bit bigger. "Rayquaza, come out." He said shooting the ball into the sky. Then Rayquaza got out of the ball and stood perfectly still awaiting for Migx orders. "I can't believe it, you actually catch him and without the help of a Pokémon. Migx that is just amazing." Riley said. "Well it came at a cost... I broke my left leg. Riley do you think flying to Eterna city with Rayquaza... could be a bad idea? you know since he's a legendary Pokémon." Migx asked. "Migx, Rayquaza is your Pokémon you do with him what you want... but yeah his going to attract a lot of attention. It's your choice though." Riley replied and Migx nodded.

"Rayquaza can you give us a lift to the Eterna city?" Migx asked and Rayquaza nodded. "Thanks... oh, one more thing let my friends ride your back and please carry me in your hands carefully, remember that I'm injured badly." "Raaaaaarghh" Rayquaza cried and nodded.

"Oh wait, Migx, the tent. What do we do?" Riley asked. "Can you take it away and put in my backpack? Migx replied taking out his backpack "Here take it." He said, throwing the backpack to Riley. "Ok, I'll do it." Riley replied. "Lucario, can you help Riley out." Migx said. "Of course, Master." She replied. "Ok help him that way we will finish faster." He said and Lucario nodded.

Then Riley and the Pokémon removed the tent and stored it in Migx's backpack. "Here Migx, now we can go." Riley said. "I think I'm going to dispose of the tent." Migx replied. "Why?" Riley asked. "We're not going to need it anymore besides it takes to much space in my backpack. Riley you need to buy a backpack too, so that you can store a sleeping back inside it." Migx replied. "Migx just forget it ok, if we have to sleep outside we'll do it without sleeping backs or tents... is like you said they take too much space. In other words why use a sleeping bag when I have a Lucario who is practically a soft furry pillow." Riley said. "I guess you're right." Migx replied. "I've already slept with Lucario in that way and I must admit she's very soft." He thought and Lucario smiled at him.

Then Riley, The two Lucario and Riolu rode Rayquaza while he was grabbing Migx carefully. "Aaaah, argh... you have to be more careful, Rayquaza." Migx said and Rayquaza glared at him. "Ok... you're doing great... just don't drop me." He said nervously, Rayquaza nodded and he sighed "I have to remember not to make him angry or one of these days I'm going to be his meal." He though.

Then Rayquaza began to fly towards the city. The crew was really happy; especially the two Lucario and the Riolu, who had their eyes close and their arms stretched to the sides as if they were the ones who were flying. "Lucario and Riolu, you guys have to be careful or you could fall." Riley said looking over his shoulder with concern. Lucario heard Riley and opened his eyes "Sorry, Master. This is just so enjoyable." Lucario replied. "Please... just be careful, ok." Riley said. Then an odd silence fell ruining the moment.

"Master, this is incredible!" Migx's Lucario said breaking the odd silence that fell when Riley stopped talking. "Huh... oh, yeah... it is isn't it?" Migx replied. Lucario started to laugh playfully "Wow, it feels so nice... how the wind plays with my fur, I love it." She said. "Lucario, you have to be careful out there you could fall if you're not sitting correctly, grabbed one of Rayquaza's... umm... I think... I think horns or fins or whatever does things are in his back." He said. "Ok, Master." She replied and did exactly what her Master told her.

Then they arrived at the city "Rayquaza, this is the place, you can descend now, please." Migx said and Rayquaza started to descend from the sky. As they descended some people started to gather below them looking at Rayquaza with amazement. They were wondering why the legendary Pokémon of Hoenn was descending in the middle of Eterna city. As Rayquaza got closer the people began to notice the presence of Migx, Riley and their Pokémon. Then when Rayquaza was finally in the ground, one person, a very beautiful blonde colored hair woman said: "Is Rayquaza your Pokémon?" "Yes, he is my new friend." Migx replied. "Incredible... he managed to catch Rayquaza, the most powerful of the three legendary Pokémon from Hoenn." She thought. Then Rayquaza placed Migx on the ground and Riley and the Pokémon got off his back.

"Hello my name is Cynthia. I'm the league champion of this region." She said stretching her hand to Migx. Migx looked at it for a brief moment and accepts it. "Well then, will you mind telling me why you are sitting in the ground?" "I broke my leg while catching Rayquaza... I can't move." Migx replied. "Oh... I'm sorry. Can you tell me your name? You seem to be a Pokémon trainer." Cynthia replied. "My name is Migx from Twinleaf town, nice to meet you, Cynthia." He replied politely. "Where are your Pokémon?" She asked. "Lucario, She's with my friend Riley and then there's Rayquaza the one that you just met." Migx replied.

Cynthia started walking towards Riley "Riley, how have you been?" She said. "Wait, you already know each other." Migx interrupted. "Yes, we already knew each other... but that dates back to when my journey first started. Migx... you remember me of Riley when he started his journey six years ago, both so eager to get stronger." She said. "Anyway, Cynthia, Migx's Pokémon is right beside my Lucario." Riley said. "Which of the two Lucario is Migx's?" Cynthia replied. "Migx's Lucario give one step forward." Riley said. Lucario stepped forward "That's her, that's Migx's Pokémon." Riley said. "She's a cutie... is very rare to find a female Lucario, is it not?" She said looking at Migx. "Umm... I don't know... I found her injured and I help her, after that we became friends." He replied. "You're very lucky, Migx. Take care of your Pokémon... and you may consider giving her a nickname, that way it'll be easier to distinguish the two Lucario. Anyway I won't stop you anymore... when you have all the eight badges you're more than welcome to come to the league to fight me." "You bet I will, Cynthia." Migx replied and Cynthia grinned. "Ok, see you then." She said and started walking towards the mountain to the right of Eterna city, Mt. Cornet.

"Ok, see you then, Cynthia." Migx shouted. He then grabbed the poke ball from his belt and said: "Rayquaza, thank you for your help, return." He said, the read beam of light engulfed Rayquaza and swallow him into the poke ball. "Riley, can you help me get to the Pokémon center?" "Of course I can help you, Migx." Riley replied. "Thanks." Migx said.

Riley grabbed Migx's left arm and placed it over his neck, then he puts his right hand in the area of the waist to give some support to Migx while they were walking.

"I must look very bad right now, right." Migx said. "Well you are very hurt and your leg is completely swollen... but no you're ok." Riley replied. "Very funny, we both know that I look terrible. I wouldn't be surprised if I have to stay in the Pokémon center for a month." "We can't jump into conclusions just yet. Nurse Joy will tell us for how long you're going to stay in the Pokémon center." Riley replied. "Alright but don't say I didn't warned you." Migx concluded.

They walked slowly, making their way to the Pokémon center. Migx's broken leg started to look very bad while they were walking because of some forced little movements he had to do. He was complaining all the way about how much his leg hurt, his Lucario began to worry because the look of extreme pain in his face, made her feel sad and a bit uneasy.

"We're here, Migx." Riley said. "Thank god, for that." Migx said with the expression of pain in his face. "Riley, call Nurse Joy. I don't think I can force myself to walk anymore." "Ok... Nurse Joy, we need your help." Riley called the Nurse. "Yes, what is it?" She asked. "Is my friend, he broke his left leg." He replied. "Oh my...wait here, I'm going to get a wheelchair." She said and went to look for a wheelchair in some place behind the counter that had a door with a sign that said Nurse only.

"Hang in there, Migx. Nurse Joy is going to help you out, ok." He said.

Then Nurse Joy got out of the door behind the counter with a wheelchair. "Please sit." She said and Migx did. "Do you have a Pokémon?" "Yes, I do. Lucario, come near me please." Migx said. Lucario got near him and smiled to Nurse Joy. "Ok, I need you to put your Pokémon inside his or her poke ball, if not then maybe your friend here might want to look for him or her while we examine you in the operations room." She said. "The operations room! Why?" Lucario said alarmed. "Riley can you take care of Lucario." Migx asked. "Sure, anything for you." Riley replied. "Thanks..." He turned to face Lucario "Listen, Lucario they are going to examine my leg to see if it requires a surgery. At this point I have no doubt it will... I told Riley this was going to happen so don't be scared. Is true our journey is going to stop briefly but is because I have no other choice." He said with a comforting smile. "Ok, Master if you say so." She replied. "If you wish you can accompany us but once we get there you will all have to wait in the waiting room, ok?" Nurse Joy said and Riley nodded.

Then they all enter the elevator and walk towards the operations room. "The waiting room is just by this hall to the end in the door to the right." Nurse Joy informed and Riley nodded.

They began walking towards the waiting room while Migx entered the operation room. Then they entered the waiting room and waited for about twenty five minutes. Then Nurse Joy came to deliver the news. "Your friend's name is Migx, am I right?" She asked. "Yes." Riley replied. "Ok, we already have him register in the Pokémon center data..." "Migx has a broken Tibia. The tibia is the bone located below the knee and the one in front of the fibula. The Tibia is also the largest and strongest of the two. Migx kind of fracture is known as the Tibial shaft fractures, this are the most common and they occur between the knee and ankle. Unfortunately Migx fracture has too much displacement or angulations and requires a surgery." Nurse Joy informed. "Damn..." Riley whispered. "What was that?" Nurse Joy asked. "Oh, it was nothing, I was just thinking. Anyways is he going to be ok? How much time will he have to stay in here?" Riley replied. "I can't tell you just yet. When we're finished with the surgery we will make sure to let you know." She replied and Riley nodded. "Good day, I must be going." She concluded and left the waiting room.

Lucario got closer to Riley and pulled his shirt "Riley is my Master going to be ok?" She asked. "I don't know, Lucario... they are going to start the surgery soon. Let's hope nothing bad happens." He said giving Lucario a comforting smile. Then he walked to the chairs and sat, his Lucario and his Riolu walk over to him. "Master can you stroke my fur? It has been a while since you've done that... will you." He said with pleading eyes. Riley chuckled a bit and grabbed hold of his hips pulling him closer "Let me give you a hint." He said. He leans closer to kiss Lucario's snout. Lucario's face turned rosy; it has been quite a while since Riley last kiss him and he wanted more. He couldn't contain his anxious; he leaned and kissed Riley on the mouth. This time the one blushing was Riley as Migx's Lucario look at them smiling, they broke the kiss "Lucarioooh!" he said in an angry and low tone, looking at Migx's Lucario. "Save that for later." He whispered and his Lucario smiled. Then he hugs his Riolu and continues showing some affection to his Pokémon.

Migx's Lucario was concerned about her Master, she didn't sit. She was standing in the door waiting to see Nurse Joy comeback to give her and Riley an update on Migx's condition.

"We will help you get in the bed." Nurse Joy said. Then she grabbed one of Migx arms while Chansey grabbed the other and began to lift him carefully. Then she placed Migx on the bed with the help of Chansey. After that Chansey grabbed his broken leg to adjust it correctly when she did Migx let out a shriek. "I'm sorry but we need to have your broken leg as straight as possible." Nurse Joy said. "Please, you have to endure the pain for a short while." She concluded.

His leg was very swollen and his knee was bent slightly, he knew it was going to hurt but there was something he didn't understand why Nurse Joy haven't used the anesthesia. Then she began to push down on Migx's left knee so that his leg would be straighter and he began to scream "Aaaah, God!" He was suffering a lot. She continued for about twenty more seconds and suddenly stops to inject him anesthesia. "Sorry, I forgot." She said blushing out of embarrassment. "Thank God... she remembered." He thought letting out a sigh. The strong pain stopped, he couldn't feel any part of his body. "Ok, Migx, take off your clothes and put this on." Nurse joy said handing to him a blue coat. Nurse joy turned around to give Migx some privacy and he began to undress. "I'm done." He said after five minutes, giving to Nurse Joy his clothes. "Thank you, I'll take care of it." She said. "Be careful I have my other Pokémon inside his poke ball, I don't want to lose him... can you please give the poke ball to my friend, Riley." He said. "Ok, but for now try to relax." She replied. Migx started to do so looking at the ceiling his eyes began to feel heavy and he began to feel sleepy. Then he closed his eyes and fell asleep with a slight grin.

Lucario turned to look at Riley "Did you hear that? That was my Master he was screaming... we need to help him who knows what they are doing to him." She said with big round and worried eyes. "Lucario, we can't. Nurse Joy is doing what must be done if she doesn't do that then Migx will never recover." Riley replied. Lucario turned to look outside the waiting room then she closed her eyes and said "Fine, if you're not going to help me, then I'll do it alone."

She started running in direction to the operations room. Riley got up from the chair and began to follow her "Lucario wait, if you interrupt the surgery they might make a mistake and your Master may never walk again." He said. Lucario heard this and stopped right away, giving him the chance to reach her, she didn't turn. Lucario had her face lowered and her eyes were closed as if she was enduring pain. "What's wrong, Lucario?" He said touching her shoulder. Then she turned and hugs Riley "I can't take it, Riley. I need my Master... I'm worried." She said with long lines of tears dropping from her beautiful red eyes. "I know... I know but right now all we can do is wait a few more hours." He said stroking her head trying to comfort her. "Ok, I'll wait. Is not like... I have a... choice... anyway." She said sobbing.

Then Riley and Lucario started walking back to the waiting room where his Lucario was waiting for him. "I'm hungry, Master. Riolu and I want something to eat now." He said in an ordering but playful tone. Riley nodded and cocked his head looking for a watch in the room, he found it, and it was located on top of the door. "Well, that's a strange place to put a watch. Anyway, sure we can, is already 2:15 in the afternoon and we haven't eaten lunch, I'm starving." He replied to his Lucario. Then he turns his head to look at the other Lucario. "What do you say?" He asked. Lucario's stomach growled loudly and she blushes "I guess we can eat. We haven't eaten anything all day and I feel as empty as a crater." She said smiling nervously.

Then they all started walking through the hall and stopped at the elevator, Riley pressed the call button a few times and it took almost five more minutes for the elevator to open and when it did Kevin the Dragon Master was in it. They entered "Good afternoon." Riley said politely. "Thanks, Good afternoon to you too." Kevin replied. "Don't you recognize us?" Riley asked. "Hmm..." He started to look at Riley, searching in his thoughts if he had known him. "Oh... right you're the other guy's friend." He replied. "Yes, my name is Riley by the way." Riley said. "Huh... ok, sure. Where is the other dude, Migx? I want a rematch, now that I have my Salamence and not just my Garchomp on my team there's no way I'll lose." He said. "Sorry to burst your bubble, Kevin, but Migx is in surgery right now." Riley replied. "What! What happened?" Kevin asked. "He broke his leg trying catching Rayquaza." Riley explained. "That's what he gets for trying to mess with legendary Pokémon." He replied. "Kevin... Migx was able to catch Rayquaza." Riley said. "No way... if what you say is true then no one not even the gym leaders have a chance of beating him." Kevin replied. "Well, that is..." *Ding* the elevator sounds indicating they arrive at the floor, catching Riley mid sentence. They got out of the elevator and he continued: "Anyway is true, all he needs to become the champion is Rayquaza and his Lucario." "Well I must be going, tell Migx I wish him well." Kevin said. "Wait, Kevin. Do you mind joining us for lunch?" Riley asked. "I'm sorry guys but I already ate." He replied. "Oh, is ok then. Good bye." Riley said. "Good bye, it was nice meeting you again." He said. As he walked through the exit he looked back and began to wave his hand, Riley returned the gesture and waited for him to go; when he did he walks and sits in a table.

"Guys wait here I'm going to order the food... Oh and Lucario and Riolu what do you Guys want?" He said. "We will eat anything you buy us, Master." Lucario replied. "Ok, Lucario what do you want?" He asked. "I want some spaghetti, please." She replied. "Ok, I'll be back in a moment." He said.

He walked to the counter where Nurse Joy was waiting, reading the news paper. "Hello, excuse me." He said politely. "Hello sir, what can I do for you?" She replied. "Good afternoon, Nurse Joy, can I have three hot dogs and a plate with spaghetti and meatballs." He said. "Of course you can, do you have a pokedex or are you going to pay?" She replied. "I have a pokedex." He said handing it to Nurse Joy. Nurse Joy grabbed the pokedex and introduced Riley's trainer ID "It's been quite a while since I've used the pokedex. All this time I was training in the Iron Island until I've decided to take a stroll in Jubilife city and then I met Migx... Hope it still works." He thought. "Ok, let's see here... ah-ha, your name is Riley... you are already register in the Pokémon center data. Riley if I may you should use your pokedex more often it can stop its functions if you don't give it use, ok." She said. "Ok, thanks." He replied.

Then he walked to the table and sat to wait for the food, everyone was hungry especially the Pokémon. The hunger was so much that Riley's stomach growled and his Pokémon began to giggle, he lowered his face and touched his stomach, blushing "Man, I'm hungry I don't know if one hot dog can fill my stomach." He thought. "Master look, Nurse Joy is coming with our food." His Lucario said. He lifts his head and sees Nurse Joy. "That's great, I'm starving." He said. "No kidding, Master." His Lucario replied laughing. Then Nurse Joy placed the tray of hot dogs in the table and the plate with spaghetti. "Bon appetite." She said and left the table.

Everyone started eating the food... everyone except Migx's Lucario that is. She was upset; she was thinking why her master was taking so long and about the screams she heard earlier. She was worried but also hungry, her stomach was growling and she gave in, she started to eat. While she ate, in her mind she wondered about what are they going to do after the operation is over, how they are going to continue their journey... How is Migx going to prepare for his fight in one year? All of that passed her mind but she figured there was no point in getting so stress over things that will soon have an answer. She finishes eating as well as Riley, Riolu and Lucario that had finish a few minutes before her. Then they all decided to go back to the waiting room to wait for some news about Migx. They left the food court and started walking through the hall making their way to the elevators trying to escape the large crowds, walking very close to one another so that they don't get separated, they reached the elevator and Riley pressed the call button of the elevator and waited, the door opened very fast, it didn't take as long as the first time. They entered and Riley pressed the third floor button. The doors closed and the elevator started to move and a few seconds later the doors opened again and they left the elevator, after that, they walked through the hall and into the waiting room where they all sat. One hour later, Nurse Joy came and Lucario rose, almost jumping from the chair, standing right in front of Nurse Joy "Oh my... she's eager... Migx is fine; He only needs to rest. The operation was successful; no nerve was damaged in the process so he will be able to walk in a month or two." She said. "One month that's a lot... can't we go sooner?" He replied. "Yes, he can leave in three weeks but he needs some rest. He can't put too much strain in his left leg, ok." She said. "Ok." He replied. "Well do you want to see him?" Nurse Joy asked. "Yes, of course, we want to see him." Riley replied. Nurse Joy nodded "Oh, here." Nurse Joy said handing the ultra ball to Riley "Migx asked me to give this to you because he doesn't want to lose his Pokémon or something like that. You should take him out of the poke ball, if is a recently catch Pokémon he could start to feel upset about being inside the poke ball." She said. "Ok, I will." He replied. "Follow me, then." She said.

Riley nodded and began to follow her to the recovery room that was located at the end of the corridor. When they arrived Nurse Joy turns the door knob and opens the door and they entered. Migx was like always, he had a happy smile on his face. He also had a plaster on his left leg to help the recovery of his broken tibia and he had his eyes closed. Riley and the Pokémon approached the bed and he turned opening his eyes "Hey guys." He said. "Migx I'm glad that you are..." "Master, you have us so worried. I'm glad you're fine." Riley was caught mid sentence when Lucario interrupt him. "What she said." Riley said smiling. Migx smiled back "So... how much time I'll be stuck in here?" He asked. "Nurse Joy said about a month or two... but you can leave in three weeks. She recommends resting an entire month though." Riley replied. "That much... Nurse Joy gave you Rayquaza?" Migx said. "Yes, she did." Riley replied taking out the poke ball from his right pocket. "Good, take him out for a stroll it will make him happy to be out of the poke ball for a few hours." Migx said. "Ok I will." Riley replied. "Excuse me for interrupting but who is going to accompany Migx in the recovery room?" Nurse Joy asked. "That'll be her, Lucario." Riley said pointing at her. "Oh ok, then I need to ask you to leave the room, the time for visits has passed." She replied. "Ok." He said and looks back at Migx "See you tomorrow, Migx." He said smiling. "See you tomorrow, Riley." Migx replied with a smile.
