#2 of Life Goes On Series

Just chuggin along with the story. Have some more backstory on me in this that I found I couldn't really get to fit in with the prologue unless I wanted to make it even longer. I hope that I at least had some good execution in how I put it into the story. Any comments and criticisms would be greatly appreciated.

"So, which show should I bring to watch next?", I posed to my group of friends for about the fifth time since the school year started a month ago. "I'm thinking one of the three: Hellsinger, Large Uno, or Evangeline?". "Well, Evangeline's "hero" gives me a headache." replied Will as he rubbed his head from the memories. "Large Uno's ending just confused the shit outta me." remarked Cody with his brow furrowed in distate. "Hellsinger it is then." I announced to a group of nods and "sures". Just another Monday lunch time get together with my buddies to discuss movies, anime, video games and just good old fashioned trashing each other.

"So Will, when are you finally gonna admit you want my dick?", John threw out with a smirk at Will who was staring downward into space in John's direction. "When your mom's ready to give someone else a shot at it." Will threw back with a smirk of his own. The volley of gay and "your mom" jokes that followed was met with the usual uproarious laughter of high schoolers. Meanwhile I was zoning in and out from being distracted by the short lion with a perpetually swaying tail that appeared to be linked to his perpetual smile talking with some people two tables away from us. I had assessed from a casual listen in their direction that his name was Chris.

"Hey Joey," I gave a quick start at suddenly being noticed again, " I see you checkin out that lion over there." said Pat with his usual micheivious grin. With a blush I'm sure they all noticed I tried feigning ignorance, "What are you talking about?" I replied. "Don't try acting all innocent, I know I saw you checkin her out." he said while pointing at a younger lioness sitting at the table between where Chris and we were situated. In my distracted state I had forgotten that Pat didn't care to bother with differentiating between genders by species names when pointing people out. With a sigh of relief that I passed off as resignation I raised my hands and said " Alright, alright you caught me." With a grin of victory Pat gave me a pat on the shoulder and said "Come on, no need to keep being all shy and get embarrassed about these things your a senior now after all."

"Well, I just like to keep those things to myself is all, don't wanna bore any of you is all." I said with a shrug. "Oh come on, you hear us talkin about girls all the time, you sayin that's boring?" he says with a bit of a suspicious look on his face. "No, I just don't feel like anything I could say would bring anyting new or funny to the table is all." I respond quickly in the hopes the topic will drop soon. "Well, if you say so" he says with a shrug, "speaking of girls this one fox i saw...". I give another inward sigh of relief as I am finally freed from the topic.

I spent the rest of lunch paying more attention to my groups conversations for fear of being called out again, but I do sneak a few quick glances Chris' way here and there. I had only just come to realize and accept that I had a thing for guys last year. It kinda happened outta the blue, just standing around talking with my friends as usual when I just started looking around and thinking to myself " that guys kinda cute" or "wow, he looks really hot in that" toward the random male passersby. The first couple times I thought like this I didn't really think about it cause it was just a fleeting thought I didn't ponder on for too long before getting distracted again by my friends and their antics. I was still pretty oblivious and niave at this point in my life, late bloomer I suppose.

After a few more instances of mildly homosexual thoughts it started to sink in that I was probably gay. I did go through a very short phase of denial where I tried to think about girls, to no real effect. My family had gotten our first computer a few months prior, which I did use to look up porn of the straight and bisexual persuasions. My denial phase lasted so short because as I was watching porn I noticed that I payed more attention to and was more turned on by the men than by the women in them. As a final test of my "straightness" I decided to take a plunge and see whether gay porn would repulse or attract me. The scene I ended up watching was of two twinkish type guys, one an otter and the other a slim husky. It was a typical college roomates gettin hot and heavy after a party scene, but man did it turn me on at that age. They sucked eachother, they rimmed, they sixty-nined and they took turns fucking each other. I came twice during the whole thing and thought to myself " I didn't think this was gonna be so great!".

After my first gay porn I was quick to accept that I myself was gay and continued to scour the internet for more. I was still way too shy and afraid to tell anyone about my new found gayness, given that I live in a mostly Mexican community and that kind of thing was heavily frowned upon. Given all the talk about "hot girls", the gay jokes and the machismo running rampant through out my school I was deathly afraid of being found out and possibly being beaten because of it. Luckily I was seen as the shy loner type most of my life so keeping it a secret wasn't a tough task at all, but that didn't stop it from gnawing away at my mind.

  • The following Friday-

I walk into the science room like any other day and proceed to set up my copy of Hellsinger for everyone in the room to continue to watch. We had plowed through the discs and today we were on the final two episodes. The past couple of days I had been spending lunch splitting my attention between watching the show and admiring Chris. I did feel kinda like a creep doing that, but don't most people do that when they can't work up the nerve to talk to someone they like? I did happen to notice that Chris was positioned right in front of the T.V. today and had a few empty seats close to him. I don't know what possesed me to do it, but I got up to make my way and pick a seat at his table. When I first stood up to getting moving Will gave me a curious look and asked me "Where you goin?" to which I responded "Just feel like seeing the finale closer up." I had already seen the finale at home a few months ago, but Will didn't need to know that.

There were a few empty seats strewn about the table where Chris was sitting so I had a good number of options of where to get a good view of the T.V. and Chris. Again I don't know what possesed me but I went with the ballsiest choice of right next to him on his right side. I wasn't leaning against him or anything, (Now that would be a creeper move), I put about a seat and a halfs worth of space between me and him to not look too suspicious. I had never gotten such a close look at him before this, there always having been a couple lab tables between us. I was able to take many corner of my eye glances at him from my new viewpoint and noticed a few things. First, he was about an inch shorter than me minus the decently large mane, but much better built which I attributed to either some kind of sport or at home gym training. Second, he had a few freckles sprinkled under his right eye. And lastly, the constant smile he had on his face was ten times more adorable close up.

As the show drew closer and closer toward its end the people in the room grew louder and more excited by all the action and drama. I took only small notice of this as I was too distracted by Chris' face and body. He was one of the few watching it queitly yet just as attentively as anyone else in the room. I was shoved back into reality when John yelled out "I'm bet you love this part don't you Will?" as a shot of the last villain in Hellsinger impaled through both ends by a spike came onto the screen. I looked around quickly in fear that someone may have noticed me looking at Chris. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that everyone was too busy watching the show to bother looking anywhere else.

As the show ended with a good amount of things left unanswered everyone went about discussing various aspects of the show from the style, to the characters and especially the somewhat unsatisfying end. As I was coming out of my Chris induced haze I was shocked when he turned to me with his hand extended out and said "Hey, my name is Chris and I noticed that you were the one who brought this and a couple other shows for all of us to watch."

Tried to fit the furry angle in a little more, not sure if I succeeded or not. Hope I am able to pace this story well enough that it doesn't feel stale or boring. As I go along in the story I hope to improve and fine tune it. If you couldn't tell I'm a huge anime fan and decided to have a few thinly veiled references. Hope you are enjoying this so far and will continue to.
