#7 of Evens and Dante's Adventure in Unova
I do not own Pokémon. I do own team nightfall, Evens, Dante, and Ramon. As well as the other team I will introduce later. I am taking suggestions as to how to get rid of Ramon.
Battle Royal

In an old warehouse-
Ramon steps through the old doors leading to the meeting spot. Standing across from him are two silent girls wearing black leather jackets with a crescent moon in the middle. The girl on the right speaks first, "Ramon father is very disappointed with you," the other speaks, "yes very disappointed." They both step aside and an older gentleman steps forward, "can you explain what you did at the park today boy?" Ramon puts his hands in his pockets, "I was just relaxing when those two distractions appeared and wanted a battle." The gentleman steps forward and backhands Ramon throwing him off balance, "do you have any idea what you could have ruined, taking the device before it was properly tested?" rubbing his cheek Ramon looks behind him at Zoroark, "the scientist said that it needed to be field tested so I did just that." The gentleman smirks, "you are lucky that the test was a success we need this device if we are to have any chance at defeating Red." The gentleman motions to the two girls who step forward, one holding a uniform and the other holding a watch and cell phone, "welcome to the team, son." Ramon takes the items, "thank you father for this opportunity." All four walk outside to a limo waiting for them the gentleman pats Ramon on the back, "I expect great things from you try not to disappoint me."
Back at the field-
"Gothorita use psyshock!" "Zoroark use feint attack!" a violent shockwave tears through the ground heading straight for Zoroark. Zoroark runs straight at it, just seconds before it hits her she disappears, Gothorita look momentarily surprised before Zoroark reappears behind her smacking her in the back of the head. Dazed Gothorita cannot hear Dante shouting orders at her, seeing this Evens orders Zoroark, "use furry swipe." Zoroark swipes at Gothorita hitting her in the face and body. Gothorita steps back at shacks the dizziness away, "Gothorita use psybeam." Gothorita concentrates on Zoroark and fires a multicolored beam grazing her side. Rolling to her opposite side Zoroark loses sight of Gothorita, "Gothorita use feint attack." Zoroark looks around franticly until she is kicked in the same side that she took the psybeam to. Zoroark has the wind knocked out of her, Evens does not like that how the battle is going the way Dante wants. Quickly thinking Evens orders, "Zoroark disappear!" Zoroark fades into a mist as is no longer seen. Evens shouts into the empty field, "Zoroark use hone claw then furry swipe!" nothing happens for a few seconds until a multitude of Zoroark appear and surround Gothorita. Defensively Gothorita unleashes a psyshock that knocks both of them back dealing massive damage to both Pokémon. Both of them slowly pick themselves up, "Evens this will turn extremely bad if they both continue like this." Nodding Evens says back, "how about the next hit be the grand finally?" Dante smirks, "sounds good." Zoroark looks back to Evens, "what should we do?" "Get in close and listen carefully to the attack I call." Zoroark nods, Dante nods to Gothorita, "use shadow ball." Zoroark sprints right at Gothorita who is still charging the attack, when she is about a foot away Evens shouts, "now use shadow claw!" darkness radiates from Zoroark as her claws turn black, as she upper cuts Gothorita, Gothorita fires the shadow ball. A huge explosion envelopes the field, both Pokémon are sent flying back crashing into their trainers knocking them down. Both Pokémon are unconscious, "guess this match is a draw?" Dante stands up holding Gothorita in his arms, "yeah I guess so." Evens returns Zoroark to her Pokéball.
As they make their way to the doorway four trainer's step outside the one in front says, "Do you know how long it took for us to find you?" the trainer to his right says, "now be a good boy and hand over that Zoroark and we won't have to beat you up." Dante reaches behind himself like he is grabbing something, "that's not going to happen." Evens calls out Golett, "Golett look after Gothorita." Dante carefully hands Gothorita to Golett, the four trainers circle them. Evens and Dante stand back to back, "Evens you know how to fight?" Evens raises his fists, "I don't think I'll stop ounce I start." Evens look down at Golett handing him Zoroark's ball, "when it starts take these two the front desk ok, and don't worry we'll hold them here." The trainer closest to the door charges, Dante steps in front and gives him a boot kick to the face busting his nose. Golett use that chance and bolts through the doorway, the other trainer tries to grab Golett but Evens tackles him throwing a few quick punches to the trainer's ribs. Dante has the third trainer on the ground breaking his face open. The fourth trainer comes up from behind and grabs Evens by the neck trying to chock him. The trainer who was against the wall starts punching and kicking Evens in the mid-section, Dante gets off the trainer that he was hitting and heel kick the trainer chocking Evens right behind the knee dislocating it. As he falls back he brings Evens down with him, the second trainer that was hitting Evens chargers and tackles Dante knocking him to the ground. Evens elbows the fourth trainer in the face releasing him, the first trainer that Dante kicked gets up and stumbles forward getting ready to kick Dante while he is down. Evens runs and spear tackle the first trainer knocking the wind out of him, Evens unleashes all he has on the defenseless trainer's head. Dante manages to knock the second trainer out of him and gets up, he give the trainer a few kicks to the stomach before looking over to Evens who was beating the already unconscious trainer. Dante grabs Evens and pulls him off of the trainer before he could hit him anymore, the trainer's face is almost completely torn away (just think of the fight club scene when Edward Norton beat the kids face in, that is what it would look like). Dante is bleeding from his nose and mouth, Evens is bleeding from his hands and lip. Dante helps Evens up and they both help each other walk to the front desk. Nurse joy looks at them and hit a button that calls four Audino with two stretchers. Two Audino help Dante and two help Evens onto the stretchers, when Evens puts his head back Audino places a mask over his mouth and nose and the gas he breathes relaxes him until he falls asleep.
Evens wakes up in a hospital bed, as he tries to sit up his mid-section throbs in pain. Laying back down Evens look around the room, the EKG machine on his left, his Golett sitting in the chair on the far side of the room sleeping, when he looks to his right he sees Zoroark sleeping soundly next to him. There is a knock on the door, officer jenny enters the room, "I apologize for waking you but I need a moment of your time." Evens grabs the bed controls and pushes the button to elevate him into a seated position. "I would offer you the chair but it seems Golett is sleeping in it." Officer jenny stands at the foot of his bed, "I will stand if that is alright." Evens nods, officer jenny clears her throat, "earlier today you and you friend were viewed fighting with four other trainers correct?" Evens nods. Officer jenny continues, "Upon further investigation I learned that these four threatened to steal your Pokémon from you correct?" Evens nods again, she continues, "I have determined that you were acting in self-defense, though a bit excessive you were within your right to defend yourself accordingly." Officer jenny walks over and slowly pets Zoroark, "it seems that these four have been doing this for a while, finding trainers with rare Pokémon and waiting for them after a hard battle so the trainer has no means of defending his Pokémon." She chuckles, "although no one has ever stood up to them like you and your friend have." Officer jenny walks back to the foot of his bed and bows, "I thank you for your cooperation in apprehending these criminals." Evens weakly chuckles, "don't mention it, can I ask how my friend is doing?" looking outside the door she replies, "When I entered his room he was asleep with his Pokémon just like you were, so I did not wake him." Evens nods, "thanks." Officer jenny leaves the room, "get some rest the doctor will be in shortly to check on you." Evens nods pushing the button that reclines his bed. Zoroark stirs and cuddles closer to Evens, shortly after he falls back asleep.
A sharp pain shots across ribs, "SON OF A BITCH!" Zoroark jumps away rolling off the bed and falling on the floor, "ow what was that for?" nurse joy bursts into the room, "are you ok!" Evens gently rubs his ribs, "yeah just turn wrong in my sleep, did I break any ribs?" nurse joy looks at the chart hanging off the foot of his bed, "no but you have several bruised ribs and one that has a small crack, but that is nothing serious." Lying back down Evens asks, "How much longer do I have to stay here?" "After tonight you are free to go but I would advise you to take it easy so you don't further injure yourself." Evens lays back down, Zoroark climbs back into bed and snuggles in close to his side both fall back asleep.
Darkness is all that Evens can see, no matter where he turns there is nothing but darkness. Faintly he hears a roar of a dragon, looking to where the roar came from he still sees nothing but darkness. As he is about to walk forward he feels a massive gust of wind, shielding his face he tries to look around, when he looks up he sees a pair of red glowing eyes staring right at him. These eyes are followed by six arms of pure darkness, "save them." Evens bolts up so fast he saw stars for a brief moment. Dante puts his hand on Evens shoulder, "I take it you saw the darkness too?" Evens lays back, "I know I know those eyes, I just can't think of it right now." Dante hands Evens his backpack, "well we're free to go so we might want to clear out soon in case the nurse needs the room." Zoroark help Evens put on his pants and shirt, he thanks the nurse for leaving him in shorts. When Evens is dressed Zoroark helps him walk out of the room.
As the group makes their way to the front desk they see professor juniper talking to nurse joy. The professor hears footstep and turns to look at them, "oh my god, I'm glad you're both safe." Run up and hugging them, she takes a step back and looks them both over, "what happened, I got a call that the both of you got into some sort of fight that put you in here." Evens leans on Zoroark a little more, "well these four assholes tried to take Zoroark from me so me and Dante stopped them." The professor hugs them again, "I just glad you both are safe." Dante pats Evens on the shoulder, "don't worry professor with me around you don't have to worry about us." The professor nods, "I know I just I worry that all, I mean I did promise the other professor that I would be you mother in a manner of speaking." Evens looks at the professor confused, "you promised to be our mother?" "Yes so long as you're here I would take responsibility for you both, the same goes for the other professor taking in the other kids who came to this world." Evens nods, Dante looks to the front doors, "well professor Evens was about to challenge the gym leader so if you want to watch you are more than welcome."
Entering the museum Evens looked around for the entrance to the gym portion of the building, Lenora is standing at the top of the stair case at the end of the hall looking out into the crowd. She sees Evens and Dante and clam walks toward them. Evens and Dante make it to the middle of the hall before Lenora meets up with them. "well have I heard some interesting stories about you two." Evens chuckles weakly still sore, "I hope it was all good." "Of course a trainer defending a Pokémon with his own body deserves respect." Lenora leads them to the entrance to the battle field, "Evens you wanted to challenge me first right?" "Yeah" "you sure you are going to be alright, I mean I could get you something to sit on if you want." "No I'll be fine." Lenora nods and walks to the opposite end of the field.
"Good afternoon ladies and gentlemen, in celebration of the new exhibit for the museum I will entertain you all with the first gym battle of the day." The crow of people cheer, little kids worm their way to the front to get a good view of the match. Golett and Oshawott stand next to Evens, "well Golett this is going to be you first gym battle, don't be nervous and follow my orders and we'll win this ok." Golett nods, "yes master." Lenora calls out watchog, Golett walks out into the battlefield. The referee steps forward at mid-field, "this will be a 2 vs. 2 battle, the challenger is allowed to make substitutions, when one side is no longer able to battle to other will be declared winner. "Trainer are you ready?" "Yeah" "gym leader are you ready?" "Yes" "battle BEGIN!"
"watchog use crunch!" watchog barrels down the field with its mouth wide open . Golett stands motionless as watchog draws closer, Lenora looks confused as to why Evens hasn't given an order until it's too late. Just as watchog is about to bite Golett Evens orders, "Golett mega punch uppercut!" Golett takes one crouching step forward and upper cuts watchog in the jaw sending it flying into the air. "Golett use shadow punch before it hit the ground to keep it in the air." As watchog begins to fall Golett punches the ground and a shadow fist appears out of the shadow of the falling watchog hitting it into the air ounce more. As watchog falls again Evens orders, "Golett as it hits the ground use mega punch." Golett runs to where watchog is landing and hits it one last time with mega punch just as it hits the ground; it leaves a crater from the impact. Watchog is unconscious, "watchog is unable to battle, and Golett is the winner of the round." The crowd roars with excitement, Lenora recalls watchog, "that was some fancy battling, I have never seen tactics like that before, couldn't even call out a move." She throws out her last Pokémon, "herdier you're up." Evens looks to Golett, "you still good to go another round?" Golett puts its fists up shaking it head, "yes." "herdier use take down." Evens was a little confused since this was almost the same thing that watchog did. As it got closer Evens figured it out, "Golett dodge herdier is going to use retaliate!" Lenora is taken back by Evens quick deduction of her strategy. She does not change her orders and herdier still charges at Golett. Golett trips on one of the stones left from the crater that watchog made. "herdier use retaliate." Herdier roars and tackles Golett with everything that it has. Golett is launched at Evens, Golett stops itself, "do not worry master I still have strength left to fight." Evens looks at herdier, the dog Pokémon has a few scratches from colliding with Golett. "Golett think you can do a repeat of what watchog took?" "I do not know the shadow punch will be difficult to perform." "Then just do the mega punch, if you get knocked out that is ok, I just want you to at least get a hit in." Golett nods, "of course." Lenora orders herdier, "use takedown." Herdier charges at Golett ounce again, Golett readies itself, when herdier get close enough it preforms another mega punch but misses the jaw and instead hit herdier's stomach. Herdier manages to get Golett with takedown. Both get sent flying, herdier crashes into the ground but slowly gets up Golett is knocked unconscious. "Golett is unable to battle; herdier is the winner of the round." The crowd goes wild again, Evens recalls Golett, "you did go so leave the rest to us." Evens throw out Oshawott, "Golett has left everything to you, left everything to you, let's not disappoint him." Oshawott nods grabbing his belly shell. Lenora motions to Evens, "you can make the first move." "Oshawott use tackle." Oshawott runs down the field at full speed, "herdier use takedown." Herdier charges at Oshawott, it turns into a game of chicken, who would cause the most damage to the other? Just as the two clash head Evens orders, "Oshawott use razor shell!" Oshawott ducks underneath herdier and lands a direct hit with razor shell, as he comes out from underneath herdier Evens orders, "now use water gun!" Oshawott makes a sharp 180 and hit herdier sending him into the wall behind Evens. Herdier falls unconscious, "herdier is unable to battle, Oshawott is the winner, and the match goes to the challenger." The crowd roars again, Lenora recall herdier and walks across the field and presents Evens with the Basic badge. Evens puts the badge in the case and looks happily at Oshawott, Oshawott begins to glow. "Oh my evolving after a gym match?" When he stops glowing Dewott stands in Oshawott's place. Dewott looks around confused, "master what just happened?" "You evolved into a Dewott." Dewott looks at himself and holds out the two shells attached to his thighs. Dewott smiles widely, Evens walks over and picks Dewott up, "I'm glad you evolved, that means you are getting stronger." still smiling Dewott hugs Evens, "I'm so happy master!" Lenora smiles, "well today has been eventful, not only did the crowd see a gym battle but also a Pokémon evolve." Dante is standing by the challenger's box, "nice job on winning the match." Evens smiles, "did you have any doubt?" Dante chuckles, "that will teach me." Lenora looks at Dante, "if you don't mind waiting until the afternoon I can accept your challenge." "Sure I don't mind." Both of them head out into the museum to kill time before Dante's match.
