History:

1914: The First World War begins with the assassination of the Archduke of the Austria-Hungarian Empire, Franz Ferdinand.

1916: The Communist revolt is quilled by the New Mongolian Horde, led by a Siberian simply know as Baron Udenberg. Reforming the country, he leads The Union of Soviet Imperial Russian Federation (a union of imperial nations under the protection of Russia, but still retain some independence on a civic level), with the New Mongolian Horde at the head of the army.

1917: With both sides sending in massive amounts of resources and troops, Germnay is caught in the middle, and divide between East Germany, with Berlin as its capital, and West Germany, with Bonn as its capital. This is known as The Divisionary Era.

2012: The first use of an atomic bomb in war happens in Berlin. Three nuclear devices are detonated beneath the city and destroy everything within a hundred mile radius around the city. The main portion of both The Western Alliance and Eastern Empire Armies are annihilated instantly.The main portion of both The Western Alliance, The Union and German Militants fighting both sides die instantly. Untold number of hiding refugees and over a million soldiers parish. It is suspected rouge Eastern Scientets or Western Raticals planted and detonated the bombs.

2013: The Union of Soviet Imperial Russian Federation is defeated with the murder and assassination of Baron Udenberg by Ally and Anarchist forces, just pass midnight of December 31 (Both the shot that killed Udenberg and the exact time he was assassinated are disputed even to this day, going even so far as to say that he was killed in 2014).

2014: Although being credited with helping to end the war and defeat of the USIRF and assassinate Udenberg, the Anarchist left behind much in the way of mass destruction of infrastructure and killing of countless troops from various nations, and are hunted and tried for War Crimes. Although many unknown or grunt infantry get away and attempt to reintegrate into society, many continue the "Bloody Crusade" to rid the world of all forms of society and government. Der Mister and Die Herrin are never captured, presumably living out life together in "...bliss and harmony with the Earth, in the endless fields of wheat and grains." (Quote from "Personal Letters to Die Herrin").

The War is declared over; both the West and East reunite and create The Council of United Nations.

2015: The last of USIRF Forces go down fighting a bitter guerilla war, which committed suicide in newly create Czechoslovakia.

Soon after, The Western Alliance and the newly created Russian Democratic Federation meet and mend diplomatic bridges. In order to help police the vast, fledging new nation, the West gives a platoon of prototype Mechanical Walkers. Although crude and cumbersome, they serve the purpose of maintaining peace and unity within the country. In exchanged, the Russian's give the West experiments in Genetic Engineering.

2020-2070: The Golden Age of Science: With the war over, companies that had made billions of dollars off of production of war materiel begin to lose the same amount. Unable to spark another local or civil war, many begin to pool their monies into civil scientific research. For the next 50 years, Mankind's advancement is exponential, mainly in Mechanization for the Russian Democratic Federation, and The Darwin Experiment (An attempt to unravel the mysteries of DNA and RNA) by The West.

2071: The Age of Science is considered over when The West and Russia unveil two great leaps in advancement, sending Humanity far forwards in each respective field.

Russia reviles the World's first Augmented Humans, veterans who had lost limb but regained their use, with a 2x fold in strength in the new appendage, and a 2x fold in longevity for organs. This not only gives back mobility, sight, hearing and general independence to veterans, the disabled and the sick and dying, but also becomes a trend in the rich and a requirement in labor. They also reviled new battletech, such as the Integrated Combat Suit, Walkers and Gun Walker Platforms. Russia begins to rebuild into a vast, lively mechanical nation, complete with Walker Patrolmen, iron skyscrapers and factories miles long and wide.

The West, on the other hand, unveils the world's first genetically engineered... anthropomorphic creature. The world is stunned, never believing that both human and animal DNA could be combined, and is sapient, creates its own identity for itself over the years, demonstrates intelligence and complex emotions. Soon on, Darwin's 25 Children are created, 25 Species that the public polled to see into existence, and are observed as they grew over the years. Shown to perfectly reproduce with Humans, they begin to birth half-breeds and full Anthros, and the new race is born. The West also shows off their new found source of fuel: Bio-Plasma. Easier to heat to required levels to energize the ions into the Plasma state, Bio-Plasma replaces fossil fuels as it is entirely clean burning. Also found is a new element that is synthesized, and with literally a spark, can combust to Plasma state. This is eminently weaponized, but also finds its way as light sources to replace street lights and bulbs. The West literally goes green, power plants torn down and replaced with smaller power cores, or covered over in new forests and parks, wind farms propping up across the country side and solar banks for smaller towns.

This is considered The First Age of Integration, as for the next 20 years, science slows down and the societies of each fraction begin to a line themselves with their new advancements, socially, economically and environmentally.

2091: The Revealing: One midsummer's day, Dragons, in droves, of all types, flew across the globe. All around the world, these creatures once thought to be of myth and legend revealed themselves to Humanity. Having already a somewhat traumatizing adjusting to their own creations, even "The Furries" (Anthros) where worried alongside Humans what these new begins where and where they come from. It is discovered that Dragons had actually lived amongst Mankind for a millennia and longer, having witnessed the rise and evolution of Humanity, yet hid when Man tried to exterminate them. At the time, having rather low numbers, Dragons went into hiding, the fight for survival awakening, what they call a disease, the power to shape shift. They actually herald from a distant star in Alpha Centauri, a planet orbiting it similar to Earth in climate, but fled "The Old World" after a long and devastating war between the Three Clans.

Generally accepted more into The West, _The Second Age of Integration_begins, now with Mankind trying to grapple with the fact they are not alone AND that the extraterrestrials had been living amongst them. From then on, tension rises from Humans and Augmented to force out the Anthros and Dragons from their nations, to the point of civil disobedience.

2092-2114: This, to the start of the Second Great War, is known as The Age of Strife.

2095: Mankind slowly divides itself amongst the two fractions.

Russia is reorganized as a Union, and begins to coercing neighboring nations into the Union, save for Mongolia, who received incredible benefits and growth from being allied with Russia a century earlier, and immediately accept Russia's control. They have become incredibly xenophobic, with zealots of nationhood rising. Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Belarus, Ukraine, Georgia, Azerbaijan and Kazakhstan all declare their alliance and dependence to Russia, and readily accept Augmentation into society, and casting out Anthros, Dragons and Western diplomats. A split in Korean beliefs causes the creation of Augmented North Korea, and Anthro South Korea. These nations are now known collectively as The Nation of United Augmented People, and their collective military forces as The ClunkerNaughts, for their massive use of Mechanized units, but also fast and devastating Augmented shock troops.

The Western Alliance, fearful for their own safety at both a national and international level, form JTF4, a special batch of Anthros meant to carry out the most deadly and dangerous missions into Russia and by any means, to stop the reorganization and reformation of the army and dreaded union. Meanwhile, The Evolutionaries is created, an umbrella term for The Western Alliance Armies under the council of The President of America, Prime Minister of Canada and The Chancellor of Great Briton and United Kingdom.

2100: In a strange and shocking move, Germany declares its independence from The Western Alliance, and creates Nova Germania, the Austrians, Hungarians and other lands that where once under The German and Austrian-Hungarian Empire are incorporated in, and make something of a compromise between Augmented and Anthro society. They also remove the restrictions on freedom of beliefs, adopting Paganism and a rural lifestyle. Even though nature and science have cleansed Berlin of radiation, Germany still keeps the city closed, making it ideal for spies, occultists and other unfavorable to seek refuge in its ruins. Bonn is selected as the new capital, as it was during The Divisionary Era.

Other alliance begin popping up throughout the world, including The Arabian Protectorate (although in name, it is mainly for an alliance between Islamic-dominated states who want nothing to do with European Politics, but still influenced by The Union), The African Union (although under direct influence by South Africa, and thus, The Western Alliance)and The Asian-Pacific Trade Federation (although under Japanese influence, and thus, The Western Alliance). These small alliances play roles as being proxies between the two fractions. Many of these Alliances have deep roots back to alliances during and before The First Great War.

China, having one of the largest populations to since the end of the First Great War, remains neutral not wanting to be dragged into another European conflict. From now until the end of the Second Great War, both fractions vie for the Chinese government to join their alliance, despite the fact China has a mixed society of Augmented in the Urban and Anthros in the Rural.

2110: Genocide begins across The Nation. Anthros who were too stubborn and foolhardy not to leave any of The Union nations where slaughtered in the streets. Appalled and realizing that their "children" where dying across the globe, The West begin emergency evacuations, harboring and flying out refuge Anthros, and Human sympathizers, from overcrowded embassies.

This marks the end of East-West communication and trade. The proxy alliances are used to torment each fraction, with open violence between the two fractions in these nations.

2114: The Nation of United Augmented Peoples declare their "holy crusade" to unite the world under one nation of Augmented Humans, spiting the nations that allow "the creatures of our nightmares to roam the Earth in unrestricted packs, festering off of the hard working people and birthing retched half-breeds, spiting in the purity of Humanity!" In a daring move, the N.U.A.P. launches a new blitzkrieg against Eastern Europe and The German Republic, who requests the aid and protection of The Western Alliance. This sparks the Second Great War, a War of Man, Anthros and Machines.
