"First objective- Acquire visualisation of owner."
I walked around the wide open area for any signs of life. Since my SHARDevice wasn't operational all I had to search with was the IRSHARDevice which is infrared. Scanning the area I found no signs of life, but found several things copy written C&AI.
"Surely this is C&AI. What happened to it though?"
I searched the entire area for several hours before sitting down under what was left of what used to be a weight bearing wall. I spent the next couple days searching my VDD's for .dat's and loading them as they were found. I found out a lot about my creator Aima as well as myself. She had created me during her time in her room. She wanted to create a robot that could learn, act, and interact as a normal living thing. She created me to look like a fur even though she herself was a human. This was because she began working on me during the war between Furs and humans. She liked the furs and had many fur friends and refused to fight the furs. Her and her husband brought furs into the facility and hid them in an underground level. Though this activity was illegal several thousand people knew about it, but they told no one for they also liked the furs.
The operation going on underground wasn't discovered by humans, but rather by another fur. He was a greedy fur and told the humans about it. In return he would live, own a small plot of property, and pretty much be able to go about his own free life.
Aima had everyone working to build my parts. However everything was to her specifications. She built, programmed, and customised me.
This must be where they were hiding the furs. I also found schematics on the floor plans for the building. This structure was full of unknown and unmarked areas underground. Judging from the destruction it would appear that the humans didn't know about the underground layers and only attacked the ground layer up. The building used to have five above ground layers and ten underground layers that weren't authorised.
During the construction they had run into several problems. It turned out that there were several minor veins running through there that were redirected away from the construction site, but there were three main veins running through that couldn't be rerouted so they had to modify the structure accordingly.
I used the information I had gathered to find out my exact location and I found where the stair casing was supposed to be, but it was buried under lots of rubble. I had nothing else to do so I began moving the rubble. It took a lot less time than I had imagined to expose. For when I removed several of the larger stones from the bottom it avalanched, sending most of it falling down the stairwell.
I stepped down the stairwell down to the first plateau. Looking over the edge I saw nothing.

I swhiched to my NSHARDevice which is a night vision device. The stairwell seemed endless. The underground layers weren't attached to the rest of the facility except by this stairwell. I continued down the stairwell for several hours at a constant pace. Finally I came to the first door. It seemed that the enemy humans had not yet found the underground layers. I punched in the key combo into the pad next to the door "02015"
The doors slid open exposing a huge room. It was filled with huge mechanical units that were heavily armed and armoured.

I started up the shard manager. I immediately began searching the entire facility. Locking on to each unit one at a time to give me the stats for each unit. There was the B101 which was a battlebot built custom by C&AI for Mark Ross who was an agent for the company. B102 was across from it custom built by C&AI for Gilbertson Lehman who was also an agent for the company. B103 built for Hanson Malcolm. They continued up to B199, all of which together filled up the entire room.
I looked over the edge of the bridge I was on. I was about five hundred feet above the ground and the ceiling was about another five hundred feet above. Each machine was about one thousand feet tall, though there were few exceptions for shoulder mounted or head mounted artillery.
The machine that caught my attention was B142. Made custom by Aima for Aima. It was the only machine not built by C&AI. It had light armour, light but powerful arm mounted weapons, a booster pack on the back which was the only one that used fuel. It also used power sphere signals, but so did all the others. It also had thrusters in the feet, all along the arm, around the neck, and in the chest plates. All thrusters pivoted and it was built for speed and it was the shortest one there with a height of about 750. It was the fastest one there. it's the only one that doesn't have a charted speed.
To my right was a small four person elevator with nothing but side rails to keep you from falling. I steppe onto the elevator and pulled the lever lowering myself down to the floor of the room. There was a door there that led to another stairwell that lead to the basement two floor.
I walked down to the basement two floor and opened the door in the same manner entering a different pass number. The door opened exposing a long narrow covered pathway. I wondered down the pathway looking out the side glass panels. There were hundreds of furs layering the entire floor. There were tables, counters, a cafeteria, a gym, bathrooms, and anything you might need for survival. There were walls, but no ceiling exposing the entire area to all who walked through here.
As I continued walking I caught several eyes. By the time I reached the end of the corridor the entire floor was busy with furs talking about me. I opened a panel exposing a small number pad. I entered the password issued to me and a small control came from the wall as a small speaker greeted me.
"Welcome LU1"
"LU1?"
I logged it and ignored it for now. I pulled down on the control and the elevator started its descent after closing me in by lowering a sheet of glass into place. As I approached the ground the furs moved out of the way. The elevator stopped and lowered the glass to my waist. Some of the furs were talking and creating a lot of noise, others were silent. This was the first time I had seen a fur. The over head lights were making it hard for me to see clearly with my night vision on so I switched back to infrared. I noticed that they were all covered in hair. I looked at my hands and saw that they were not. It must have gotten burned off or something during the attack.

I raised my hand. Shushes were heard all around followed by silence a couple seconds afterwards.
"I am LU1! I have been created by C&AI. I was created with many objectives. One of those objectives being to protect all furs. This place is no longer safe. It may only be a matter of time before this place is discovered. You may stay here, but will eventually run out of resources for all resources to this facility have been severed. You must leave as soon as you feel comfortable and find a new place to sleep."
The entire facility broke into a mad noise once again. I lifted my hands again and the facility quieted just as it had before.
"I have opened up this elevator to public use. That means that you may use it to leave this facility. I need two furs to stand guard at the elevator and make sure only four furs are on the elevator at a time. Can I get two furs to volunteer to stay behind and keep watch over the elevator?"
Several furs volunteered and I chose two furs next to each other hoping that they were maybe friends. They walked up to me and stood on either side.
"Good! Does anyone here have any information about anything that may be of some assistance?"
Again several furs rose their hands. I pointed across the room to a locked door that lead down to the next level.
"I will be over there. Anyone who has any information please meet me over there."
One of the furs standing next to me leaned over and spoke in his deep voice.
"Tell them that we're going to let up two groups of men. After that we're going to let women and children up. Followed by the men."
"What's the purpose of that?"
"The first two groups are to protect the furs once they get out. Women and
children need to get out to ensure a next generation."
I stood there for a second.
"Send up three groups of men. There's another elevator and I need a group to make sure no one gets hurt there." I then stood up tall again to speak.
"I need two more volunteers to stay at this elevator!"
Several furs raised their hands. and I selected another two next to each other hoping they were friends.
"I now need a group of four to stay behind at another elevator and stay behind and make sure no one gets hurt."
Again several furs raised their hands, but they were scattered about. I chose four random furs and sent them up first to wait at the elevator.
"I now need two more groups of four to stand at the surface to make sure everyone gets out ok."
As the last there were several furs that rose their hands. I selected eight of them and sent the first four up. By this time the volunteer furs were running few, but that's all I was needing.
"Women and children may go up first if they're ready!"
I then walked over to the locked door and stood there. Several furs came up to me and told me what they knew, but I didn't learn anything I hadn't already known. Few of them knew about the weapons facility, but that was the extent of it. I stood there for several hours. The men were now being allowed to enter the elevator and all had been going good. There were still several women and children, but they were either still packing up or didn't feel prepared to leave.
I turned around facing the door, punched in the combination, and walked through the door locking it behind me. Surprisingly enough I wasn't in a stairwell. I was already on the third basement floor. The third basement floor wasn't located underneath the second as the floor plans had shown, rather it was directly next to it. This room was quite a bit larger than the first basement floor. This room was filled with supercomputers lining the walls and creating a maze.
I wondered the room for hours searching out the network and looking for the main computer. There were several desktop computers that I had seen along the way, but they weren't the main one. After several hours of searching I found a huge screen. It was made out of sixteen fifty inch plasma monitors arranged in a four by four screen all acting as one monitor, effectively creating a two hundred inch monitor.
The computer case had a black and silver face with purple lights and the side of it was cut out with a plastic screen covering the hole exposing many purple and blue lights. The computer was linked directly to three more just like it acting as one super computer of it's own. It had a wireless mouse and keyboard, as well as a speaker hooked up to it.
I searched for a linkup port and found one rather quickly. I linked up and instantly I was prompted to update my BIOS.

Now that my BIOS recognised the mainframe I started searching the mainframe. Instantly I got results. I got details about every employee that worked for C&AI, and I probably know more about them than they know about themselves. As I was searching through the list of employees objective 1,2,3, and 4 came up.

"Ahh. Velo seemed currently to be located on a planet called Earth. She was transported there for a mission. All I need to do now is find a way to get to her."
I spent the rest of the day searching the member list and the rest of the mainframe and learned a lot of information. Most of it useless junk, but I found out lots of information out about myself. C&AI employees referred to me as "Boub" and I found out how my mechanics, hardware, and software operated.
I shutdown the mainframe and heard the computers all around me shutdown one at a time. I walked to the door and left as the last computer shutdown. By this time everyone but a couple of furs who weren't ready to leave yet had left. Even the elevator guards had left.
Taking the same path I exited the facility much in the same manner in which I had last time. Now I had enough information to get to Velo and that's exactly what I was going to do.
