Nature (XV)
My 15th poem, written for a furry friend of mine last summer.
The private moments spent together
Are precious like beautiful weather
Every gentle brush of your fingers
Feels like a quiet wind that lingers
Over the green field of grass and sun
Where you and I discovered our fun
Across the beaches of colorful sand
Is how far our love crosses the land
Even in the gallons of cold rain
You have protected me from the pain
And even in the hottest of days
Is when you hold me close anyways
I feel the beats where your heart will stay
I'll cherish them while you are away
Not one storm will ever tear from me
The memories we yet had to be
