"Don't you dare to hurt him!"
Cath placed herself between her Tamer and the hostile Digimon. Icedevimon began to smile, as he began to inspect his opponent. The digital Kitsune glared at him, waiting and trying to forecast his first step.
„Now look at that." he said with an evil smile on his face " A lonely little Nightmare Soldier, this gonna be very funny."
Cath just stared at him and attacked. He dodged it and grabbed her by her ankles, trying to threw her back. Cath managed escape his grip and jumped back to Ryan.
"I could need some help."
Ryan nodded and took one of his cards.
"Digimodify: Onyx Claws avtivate!"
Long crystals began grow at Caths hands, forming long black claws. They began to glow in violett color.
„OBSIDIAN PAW!!!"
She jumped at Icedevimon at slashed her claws into his face. He screamed and jumped away, he put a hand on his face. He took it away and they saw that he didn't even had a small scratch. Icedevimon began to laugh.
"Is that all you got? HA! How weak!"
He lifted his arm into the Air, long Icicles began to appear around him, aiming at Cath.
„I'll show you true power! AVALANCHE CLAW!"
Cath dodged the fragments, she leaped towards her opponent and tried to hit Icedevimon again with her claws, but this time he managed to grab her in midair and threw her away.
Cath managed to land on her feet, but before she could continue her attacks she saw Icedevimon landing right in front of her.
„ICELANCE!"
A long Icicle formed at his hand, he launched forward and tried to stab her. Cath dodged it, but then a second Icelance apeared on Icedevimons other hand and he managed to hit her right foot.
Cath screamed in pain and fell to the ground. She grabbed her foot, Ryan saw that t´she was bleeding.
"Fuck!" He wanted to help her, but right now he had no usefull card. He made a step towards her. But then he felt a hend on his shoulder, holding him back. He looked behind him, Nick shook his head.
"It's to Dangerous."
Ryan snarlde at him and looked back to his partner. She got up, ready to attack again, but Icedevimon was faster. His Icelance pierced trough her foot again. He kicked her and she fell to the ground.
"R-ryan!"
Icedevimon began to smile.
"Pathetic. Such a weak Digimon. I'm getting bored of fighting you." He aimed his lance at her and began to laugh "Maybe I should end this now!"
Cath tried to get up, but her foot was hruting too much. She stared at the peak of the Icelance.
"...Ryan..."
With a sigh, she closed her eyes.
'Ryan... im sorry... I failed you... again...'
She heared Icedevimons laugh and was waiting for her end. But instead of the pain she was waiting for, she just heared a someone shouting, it was Ryan calling her name and then she heard him screaming in pain. Her eyes shot open and she stared in shock at the scene. Ryan stood in front of her, the Icelance piercing though his chest. Blood was dripping on the ground. He opened his mouth as if he wanted to say something, but there was no sound coming from him.
Icedevimon pulled the lance out of him and he fell to the ground. Cath stared at her tamer. He coughed blood and slowly turned his head to her.
"C-ca...th..."
She reached for him.
"Ryan, no! Why did you...? ...RYAN!!!"
He looked at her.
„I'm sorry Cath... I... i... lo..."
He didn't end his sentence. His eyes began to stare into the distance and became dull.
„Ryan?"
Cath stared at her tamer, at her friend. She reached for him, stroking the side of his head slightly. He didn't react, didn't move. Cath took her hand back and began to shake.
"...Ryan?.. no..."
Suddenly the digivice started to glow in a blue light.
"NOOOOOO!!!"

Icedevimon stared at the light, it was blinding him. He lifted his wings to cover his eyes. After a few moments the light faded out slowly so he could open his eyes again... only to stare into the barrel of a huge gun.
"What the..."
The inside began to glow in violet light and Icedevimon dodged it just in time before the blast shot trough the air.
Icedevimon stared at the shadowlike figure in front of him. A tall being in a black armor, the face covered by a metalic mask, only a pair of bright violett glowing eyes staring at him. It had long white hair flowing through the wind. The right arm was replaced with an insanely huge gunblade and the other appeared to be a sharp black claw. On his back the being had a single angellike black wing.
"I...I am Sinthoramon!"

Sinthoramon is a almost forgotten kind of Nightmare Soldier, often described as the ultimate form of them. They're very skilled in dark magic so they even could turn a bright day into darkest night. The so called Insane Cannon Lance is their main weapon.

Icedevimon shook of his shock and began to grin.
„Do you think you could scare me with that little toy? Now fucking die!!!! ICELANCE!!!"
He tried to stab his opponent but before his attack reached Sinthoramon, it vanished into dark mist just to reappear behind him.
"I'll make you beg for forgiveness!" The gunblade sliced down and cut off Icedevimons arm together with his Icelance. He screamed in pain and tried to fly away, but Sinthoramon leaped into the air and cut one of Icedevimons wings off. Icedevimon fell to the ground, managed to get up and started to run for his life.
"Stay here, coward!" Sinthoramon aimed at him "ONYX BOLTS!"
A big amount of bullets shot on Icedevimon. He tried to protect himself with his remaining Wing, but the bullets pierced straight trough his skin and threw him to the ground. He was bleeding from his wounds and before he could try to get up again he saw the gunblade aiming straight into his face.
„You will die now! BLACK OBSIDIAN THUNDER!!!!!"
The barrel of the gunblade began to glow and it got brighter and brighter. Icedevimon stared at it in fear. Then a huge violet energyball emitted from the gun and shoot right trough Icedevimons face. He screamed as he vanished into data.
Sinthoramon watched the data rising up into the air, didn't want to load a single bit of it. It let out a sigh and fell to the ground. With a bright light it divided back into Cath and Ryan. Cath got up instantly but groaning. She turned her head and looked at Ryan. He was still laying on the ground without any movement.
„No...!"
She fell to her knees next to him and grabbed his shoulders.
„No... please be okay. Please, I... I need you... Ryan!"
She saw how his chest was rising again. She checked his Chest, there was not a single wound, not even a scar left of Icedevimons attack. Relieved she grabbed him and hugged him tightly.
„Ryan!... I'm so glad... Ryan..."
She heared footsteps behind her. Afraid she turned around and hold him tighter to protect him. But it was just Ruki who was standing there.
„Cath... hey... come on, we should to get him into the tent."
Ruki wanted to help her, but Cath didnt let go off Ryan. She lifted him up and carried him into his Tent.
„Is he alright." Ruki asked. Cath nodded.
„Yes. Hes not injured. I think he... he's just exhausted."
„And... are you alright?"
Cath looked at her, concerned why she was asking. But just then she realized that she was shaking. She looked at her Tamer and tried to calm herself down.
„I... thought I lost him..."
Ruki nodded and stood up.
„We should let him sleep for a while. And I think you should sleep, too."
Cath watched her as Ruki went the outside. She looked back at Ryan, triyng to calm herself, but it was impossible for her to sleep right now, so she decided to wait until he wakes up. Sighing she slowly grabbed his hand.
"Why... why did you do that...?"
*I'm not sure if anyone recognized it but Sinthoramon is something between 'Sephiroth' (FF VII) and 'Insane Black Rock Shooter' (BRS)*
