Yure and Liontari found an interesting kind of rabbit.

Snow started to fall. We were still far from the mines and it has been some time since we started this mission. We wondered if the beavers already took care of the issue themselves, if we were lost or if the city sent other hunters to do the job. Anyway, we had an order and had to meet the expectations of our employee.

  • So... what do you think we will find there? - I asked.

  • Beavers... - answered Liontari.

  • I wish they didn't are so cryptic when giving us our missions; they don't share details...

  • Indeed - agreed Liontari. -, how are we supposed to get ready if we don't even know what we are fighting against?

I was hungry, but there was no food around whatsoever. Felt like all the tree were replaced with sterile copies; none of them had any fruit. The animals were also hiding. Liontari picked me up and put me on his back. I snuggled with him and my tummy growled vigorously. So did Liontari's.

  • Hope we aren't going to starve... - he commented.

  • Same here, hon.

My stomach growled and I started to nibble Liontari's head, picturing it as a meat sandwich. "Yummy...", I though, nibbling.

  • Are you eating me? - he asked.

  • Can I dream? - I asked, my voice muffled.

  • Do as you please, as long it doesn't hurt...

That sentence gave me an idea and I was going to repeat it someday.

  • Aside of hungry, as you okay? - Liontari asked.

  • I'm also cold... - I answered.

  • Cold? You are a furred meatball! You are supposed to not feel cold in these situations. It isn't even zero Celsius degrees.

Suddenly, a snow-white rabbit appeared from the snow. He was a feral. Immediately, Liontari ran towards the rabbit and it fled from us with all he got. The snow made our paces slower, but the bunny seemed to not care or be affected by the thick layer of white matter under it's paws. The rabbit stopped, as if waiting for us. Whenever we edged closer, it would flee again.

Liontari jumped forward and I jumped from his neck, trying to get the bunny between our claws, but the rabbit jumped forward, stepped on my head and then on Liontari's butt. We fell on the snow and quickly got up. The rabbit giggled at us and hopped his way away, getting at a safe distance, looking at us and then standing there. We edged closer and he stepped back away. Liontari jumped on the rabbit, causing the rabbit to jump over Liontari. I tried to jump on the rabbit, but he noticed me and jumped really high. My movement continued, though, and I feel with my muzzle right on Liontari's butt. I blushed under my fur and my eyes opened widely. I surely loved him, but...

We quited and sat up on the snow. The rabbit then approached, curiously hopping in our direction. It snuggled against Liontari. I licked my lips and was about to pounce the animal, but Liontari stopped me. The trees dropped several fruits as the rabbit disappeared.

  • It was made of ether - Liontari said.

  • Oh... - I sighed.

  • Probably wanted to play with us. The ether does these things.

  • Why?

  • I don't know... I'm a mere furry.

I tilted my head.

  • The Ether is like a god. If such being exists, then it's the Ether.

  • What is Ether?

  • It's the element that made the other elements, therefore all the existence. Nowadays, he is responsible for the connection between the Sensible Reality and the Ideal World.

I quickly remembered.

  • Ah, I have been on Ideal World before! - I exclaimed.

Liontari giggled and pet my head, as if I was joking.

After a while, we got up to collect fruits. I got an apple, an orange and a banana. They looked extremely healthy and well-conserved. I could stare at their bright colors all day long, if I wasn't so hungry.

Hours passed. We didn't know if it was day or night; the sky looked the same since the snow started. Our way was now colored by multicolored fruits on the ground. I was cold, even with my pudginess and dense fur. Liontari was probably worse than me as I could feel him shivering.

  • We better hurry up or your diaper will freeze next time you pee - said Liontari.

  • Big joke, Lion... - I sighed.

Just to piss him off, I started to wet myself while on his back. He instantly yelped.

  • No, no, Yure, get off! - he complained.

The weather in Fenária isn't random, even if it feels like it is. But we have six seasons, one for every element. It was the season of water, meaning alternating rain and snow.
